1Sulfonate group modified Ni catalyst for highly efficient liquid-phase selective hydrogenation of bio-derived furfural显示文摘The liquid-phase furfural(FAL) hydrogenation to furfuryl alcohol(FOL) and tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol(THFOL) was investigated using sulfonate group(-SO3 H) grafted activated carbon(AC) supported Ni catalyst, which was prepared and activated simultaneously by liquid phase reduction method. This functionalized nickel catalyst demonstrated an enhanced catalytic performance for selective hydrogenation of FAL, in which almost 100% FOL(<80℃) and THFOL(>100℃) selectivity with complete conversion was obtained, respectively. More importantly, the conversion of transfer hydrogenation of FAL to FOL also can reach almost 100% under optimal conditions(140℃, 4.0 h). The effect of-SO3 H was evaluated and systematically analyzed by the combination of reaction performance and physico-chemical characterizations. 3Self-assembly nanomicelle-microneedle patches with enhanced tumor penetration for superior chemo-photothermal therapy显示文摘Nanomedicine with high specificity has been a promising tool for cancer diagnosis and therapy.However,the successful application of nanoparticle-based superficial cancer therapy is severely hindered by restricted deep tumor tissue accumulation and penetration.Herein,a self-assembly nanomicelle dissolving microneedle(DMN)patch according to the“nano in micro”strategy was conducted to co-deliver a first-line chemotherapeutic agent paclitaxel(PTX),and a photosensitizer IR780(PTX/IR780-NMs@DMNs)for chemo-photothermal synergetic melanoma therapy.Upon direct insertion into the tumor site,DMNs created a regular and multipoint three-dimensional drug depot to maximize the tumor accumulation.Accompanied by the DMN dissolution,the composition of the needle matrixes self-assembled into nanomicelles,which could efficiently penetrate deep tumor tissue.Upon laser irradiation,the nanomicelles could not only ablate tumor cells directly by photothermal conversion but also trigger PTX release to induce tumor cell apoptosis.In vivo results showed that compared with intravenous injection,IR780 delivered by PTX/IR780-NMs@DMNs was almost completely accumulated at the tumor site.The antitumor results revealed that the PTX/IR780-NMs@DMNs could effectively eliminate tumors with an 88%curable rate without any damage to normal tissues.This work provides a versatile and generalizable framework for designing self-assembly DMN-mediated combination therapy to fight against superficial cancer.Ying Sun Minglong Chen Dan Yang Wanbing Qin Guilan Quan Chuanbin Wu Xin Pan 2022Nano Research2022,15,3:2
4Conductivity and Oxidation Behavior of Fe-16Cr Alloy as Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Interconnect Under Long-Stability and Thermal Cycles显示文摘Conductivity and oxidation behavior of Fe-16Cr alloy were investigated under long-term stability operation at 750℃and thermal cycles from room temperature to 750℃.The results showed that the area specific resistance(ASR)of Fe-16Cr alloy increased over time and reached about 56.29 mΩcm~(2)after 40,000 h of long-term stability operation at 750℃by theoretical calculation.The ASR of Fe-16Cr remained about 11 mΩcm~(2)after 52 thermal cycles from room temperature to750℃.The analysis of structure showed that the oxidized phase on the surface of Fe-16Cr was mainly composed of Cr_(2)O_3and Fe Cr_(2)O_(4)spinel phase under long-term stability operation at 750℃.While the Cr_(2)O_(3)phase was mainly observed on the surface of Fe-16Cr alloy after 52 thermal cycles,the oxidation rates of Fe-16Cr alloy were 0.0142μm h~(-1)and 0.06μm cycle~(-1)under long-term stability operation and under thermal cycle,respectively.The property of Fe-16Cr alloy with 2.6 mm thickness met the lifespan requirement of interconnect for solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC)stacks.The Cr element all diff used onto oxidation surface,indicating that it was necessary to spray a coating on the surface to avoid poisoning cell cathode of SOFCs.Two 2-cell stacks were assembled and tested to verify the properties of Fe-16Cr alloy as SOFC interconnect under long-term stability operation and thermal cycle condition.Jianwu Zhou Qiangfeng Chen Junkang Sang Rongmin Wu Zhuobin Li Wanbing Guan 2021Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2021,34,5:1

7Microbial phenolic metabolites 3-(3',4'-dihydroxyphenyl)propanoic acid and 3',4'-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid prevent obesity in mice fed high-fat diet显示文摘Obesity is associated with numerous metabolic disorders,and dietary polyphenols have been confirmed to have beneficial effects on the metabolism in obesity.However,the effect of 3-(3’,4’-dihydroxyphenyl)propanoic acid(DHPA)and 3’,4’-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid(DHAA),two main metabolites of dietary polyphenols,on obesity remains poorly understood.In this study,DHPA and DHAA were found to alleviate obesity,as well as regulate insulin resistance,lipid metabolism,and oxidative stress response in high-fat diet(HFD)mice.Surprisingly,the 16S rRNA sequencing and UHPLC-Q-TOF/MS demonstrated that DHPA and DHAA only slightly disturbed the intestinal microbiome,but significantly altered the urine metabolome of HFD mice mainly by regulating pentose and glucuronate interconversion,tyrosine metabolism,pentose phosphate and tricarboxylic acid(TCA)cycle as indicated by metabolic pathway analysis based on Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)database.Correlation analysis revealed that the differential metabolites are strongly associated with body weight,blood glucose,insulin level,and superoxide dismutase(SOD)enzyme activity.Our results revealed that DHPA and DHAA exert their anti-obesity effect by regulating important metabolites in the glucose,lipid and tyrosine metabolism pathways.Wanbing Chen Ruonan Liu Xiaoling Zhu Qun Lu Hong Yang Rui Liu 2024Food Science and Human Wellness2024,13,1:0
8Survey on Pre-pregnancy Health Knowledge and Service Demands among Un-pregnant Married Women显示文摘Objective To understand the pre-pregnancy health knowledge and service needs among un-pregnant married women in Shanghai. Methods A total of 968 newly-married un-pregnant women in Changqiao, Lingyun sub-districts and Huajing town of Xuhui district, Shanghai, were recruited and inter- viewed by structured questionnaire to collect the information on pre-pregnancy health knowledge and service demands. Results 1) Newly-married women thought the contraceptive methods suitable for them was male condom(84.4%), followed by oral contraceptives(54%), emergent con- traceptive(52.5%) and contraceptive suppository (48.3%). 2) The score of pre-preg- nancy health knowledge was 54.7±14.5 among the subjects. The participants with junior college or a bachelor had more knowledge than those with junior or senior high school, and those who were engaged in medicine /education/science field had higher score. 3) They had higher knowing rate on the common knowledge, and the rate was above 80%. But the knowing rate on the knowledge of birth defect was low, and all below 50%. 4)A proportion of 52.7% of the respondents knew that there was a station for reproductive health service in their communities, but only 45.5% received the service from the station, 87.0% thought they had insufficient or scarce knowledge, 73.6% planned to consult before pregnancy and 63.6% were willing to attend the training courses on preparing pregnancy. 9Effect of Al Layer on Oxidation Behavior of NbCrAl Coating显示文摘NbCrAl coatings in the presence or absence of Al outer layer were prepared on C103 Nb based alloy and alumina substrate by direct current magnetron sputtering technique. The oxidation performance of coating systems was evaluated by isothermal oxidation tests. The element diffusion and oxidation behavior of the coating systems were investigated. The results indicate that the mass gains of NbCrAl and Al/NbCrAl coatings are 2.02 mg/cm^2 and 0.79 mg/cm^2 at 1 000 ℃ for short time. Al/NbCrAl coatings exhibit more effective protection than NbCrAl coatings. 10Boosting electrochemical hydrogen evolution by coupling anodically oxidative dehydrogenation of benzylamine to benzonitrile显示文摘The electricity-driven water splitting acts as a promising pathway for renewable energy conversion and storage, yet anodic oxygen evolution reaction(OER) largely hinders its efficiency. Seeking the alternatives to OER exhibits the competitive advance to address this predicament. In this work, we show a more thermodynamically and kinetically favorable reaction, electrochemical oxidative dehydrogenation(EODH)of benzylamine to replace the conventional OER, catalyzed by a cobalt cyclotetraphosphate(Co_(2)P_(4)O_(12)) nanorods catalyst grown on nickel foam. This anodic reaction lowers the electricity input of 317 mV toward the desired current density of 100 mA/cm^(2), together with a highly selective benzonitrile product of more than 97%. 11E674Q(Shanghai APP mutant),a novel amyloid precursor protein mutation,in familial late-onset Alzheimer's disease显示文摘Identified as the pathogenic genes of Alzheimer's disease(AD),APP,PSEN1,and PSEN2 mainly lead to early-onset AD,whose course is more aggressive,and atypical symptoms are more common than sporadic AD.Here,a novel missense mutation,APP E674Q(also named“Shanghai APP”),was detected in a Chinese index patient with typical late-onset AD(LOAD)who developed memory decline in his mid-70s.The results from neuroimaging were consistent with AD,where widespread amyloidβdeposition was demonstrated in 18 F-florbetapir Positron Emission Tomography(PET).APP E674Q is close to theβ-secretase cleavage site and the well-studied Swedish APP mutation(KM670/671NL),which was predicted to be pathogenic in silico.Molecular dynamics simulation indicated that the E674Q mutation resulted in a rearrangement of the interaction mode between APP and BACE1 and that the E674Q mutation was more prone to cleavage by BACE1.The in vitro results suggested that the E674Q mutation was pathogenic by facilitating the BACE1-mediated processing of APP and the production of Aβ.Furthermore,we applied an adeno-associated virus(AAV)-mediated transfer of the human E674Q mutant APP gene to the hippocampi of two-month-old C57Bl/6 J mice.AAV-E674Q-injected mice exhibited impaired learning behavior and increased pathological burden in the brain,implying that the E674Q mutation had a pathogenicity that bore a comparison with the classical Swedish mutation.Collectively,we report a strong amyloidogenic effect of the E674Q substitution in AD.To our knowledge,E674Q is the only pathogenic mutation within the amyloid processing sequence causing LOAD.Yongfang Zhang Xinyi Xie Boyu Chen Lina Pan Jianping Li Wanbing Wang Jintao Wang Ran Tang Qiang Huang Xiaofen Chen Rujing Ren Zhentao Zhang Wei Fu Gang Wang 2024Genes & Diseases2024,11,2:0
