1The effects of probiotics administration on the milk production,milk components and fecal bacteria microbiota of dairy cows显示文摘Probiotics administration can improve host health.This study aims to determine the effects of probiotics(Lactobacillus casei Zhang and Lactobacillus plantarum P-8) administration on milk production,milk functional components,milk composition,and fecal microbiota of dairy cows.Variations in the fecal bacteria microbiota between treatments were assessed based on 16 S rRNA profiles determined by Pac Bio single molecule real-time sequencing technology.The probiotics supplementation significantly increased the milk production and the contents of milk immunoglobulin G(IgG),lactoferrin(LTF),lysozyme(LYS)and lactoperoxidase(LP),while the somatic cell counts(SCC) significantly decreased(P < 0.01).However,no significant difference was found in the milk fat,protein and lactose contents(P > 0.05).Although the probiotics supplementation did not change the fecal bacteria richness and diversity,significantly more rumen fermentative bacteria(Bacteroides,Roseburia,Ruminococcus,Clostridium,Coprococcus and Dorea) and beneficial bacteria(Faecalibacterium prausnitzii) were found in the probiotics treatment group.Meanwhile,some opportunistic pathogens e.g.Bacillus cereus,Cronobacter sakazakii and Alkaliphilus oremlandii,were suppressed.Additionally,we found some correlations between the milk production,milk components and fecal bacteria.To sum up,our study demonstrated the beneficial effects of probiotics application in improving the quality and quantity of cow milk production.Haiyan Xu Weiqiang Huang Qiangchuan Hou Lai-yu Kwok Zhihong Sun Huimin Ma Feiyan Zhao Yuan-Kun Lee Heping Zhang 2017Science Bulletin2017,62,11:21

3Mechanical Properties and Microstructure of 6082-T6 Aluminum Alloy Joints by Self-support Friction Stir Welding显示文摘The majority of this research has concentrated on developing the self-support friction stir welding(SSFSW) tool which consists of a big concave upper shoulder and a small convex lower shoulder, and procedures for making reliable welds in aluminum hollow extrusion. The 5-mm-thick 6082-T6 aluminum alloy was self-support friction stir welded at a constant tool rotation speed of 800 r/min. The effect of welding speed on microstructure and mechanical properties was investigated. The results of transverse tensile test indicated that the tensile strength of joints increased and the elongation decreased with increasing welding speed. The whole values of microhardness of SSFSW joints increased with increasing welding speed from 10 to 200 mm/min. The defectfree joints were obtained at lower welding speeds and the tensile fracture was located at the heat-affected zone(HAZ) adjacent to the thermo-mechanically affected zone(TMAZ) on the advancing side. The investigation of the flow pattern of the softened metal around the SSFSW tool revealed that the flow pattern of the softened metal was driven by two shoulders and the stir pin. 4The Chinese Hα Solar Explorer(CHASE) mission: An overview显示文摘The Chinese Hα Solar Explorer(CHASE), dubbed “Xihe”—Goddess of the Sun, was launched on October 14, 2021 as the first solar space mission of China National Space Administration(CNSA). The CHASE mission is designed to test a newly developed satellite platform and to acquire the spectroscopic observations in the Hα waveband. The Hα Imaging Spectrograph(HIS)is the scientific payload of the CHASE satellite. It consists of two observational modes: raster scanning mode and continuum imaging mode. The raster scanning mode obtains full-Sun or region-of-interest spectral images from 6559.7 to 6565.9 ? and from 6567.8 to 6570.6 ? with 0.024 ? pixel spectral resolution and 1 min temporal resolution. The continuum imaging mode obtains photospheric images in continuum around 6689 ? with the full width at half maximum of 13.4 ?. The CHASE mission will advance our understanding of the dynamics of solar activity in the photosphere and chromosphere. 5Multi-scale variability of the tropical Indian Ocean circulation system revealed by recent observations显示文摘The tropical Indian Ocean circulation system includes the equatorial and near-equatorial circulations, the marginal sea circulation, and eddies. The dynamic processes of these circulation systems show significant multi-scale variability associated with the Indian Monsoon and the Indian Ocean dipole. This paper summarizes the research progress over recent years on the tropical Indian Ocean circulation system based on the large-scale hydrological observations and numerical simulations by the South China Sea Institute of Oceanology(SCSIO), Chinese Academy of Sciences. Results show that:(1) the wind-driven Kelvin and Rossby waves and eastern boundary-reflected Rossby waves regulate the formation and evolution of the Equatorial Undercurrent and the Equatorial Intermediate Current;(2) the equatorial wind-driven dynamics are the main factor controlling the inter-annual variability of the thermocline in the eastern Indian Ocean upwelling;(3) the equatorial waves transport large amounts of energy into the Bay of Bengal in forms of coastal Kelvin and reflected free Rossby waves. Several unresolved issues within the tropical Indian Ocean are discussed:(i) the potential effects of the momentum balance and the basin resonance on the variability of the equatorial circulation system, and(ii) the potential contribution of wind-driven dynamics to the life cycle of the eastern Indian Ocean upwelling. 6Ultra-fine W-Y_(2)O_(3)composite powders prepared by an improved chemical co-precipitation method and its interface structure after spark plasma sintering显示文摘Y_(2)O_(3)-doped tungsten(W-Y_(2)O_(3))composite powders prepared by a traditional chemical co-precipitation method possess obvious bimodal distribution in size,which would deteriorate their sintering properties.The bimodal distribution can be effectively eliminated by an improved chemical co-precipitation method,in which the cationic surfactant cetyltrimethyl-ammonium bromide(CTAB)was innovatively employed.The reduced powders with excellent uniformity have an average grain size of only~31.5 nm.It is noteworthy that Y_(2)O_(3)particles would fuse and grow with the growth of W grains during subsequent spark plasma sintering(SPS)process,which was rarely reported in relevant literature before.On top of that,phase interfaces of sintered W-Y_(2)O_(3)alloys were systematically analyzed.Compared to the intracrystalline oxygen content,the oxygen content at W/Y_(2)O_(3)phase boundaries is relatively higher.It can be found that the(110)crystal planes of W form coherent,semi-coherent,and non-coherent interfaces with different crystal planes of Y_(2)O_(3).The weak interfacial bonding strength between W and Y_(2)O_(3)phases results from relatively more oxygen impurities as well as more semi-coherent/non-coherent interfaces at phase boundaries compared with the inner W grains.Weiqiang Hu Qingshuang Ma Zongqing Ma Yuan Huang Zumin Wang Yongchang Liu 2019Tungsten2019,1,3:3

8Fabrication of Fe nanocomplex pillared few-layered Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene with enhanced rate performance for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Pillaring technologies have been considered as an effective way to improve lithium storage performance of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene.Nevertheless,the pillared hybrids suffer from sluggish Li^(+)diffusion kinetics and electronic transportation due to the compact multi-layered MXene structure,thus exhibiting inferior rate performance.Herein,the few-layered Ti_(3)O_(2)MXene(f-Ti_(3)C_(2)MXene)which is free from restacking can be prepared quickly based on the NH4^(+)ions method.Besides,Fe nanocomplex pillared few-layered Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)(FPTC)heterostructures are fabricated via the intercalation of Fe ions into the interlayer of f-Ti_(3)C_(2)MXene.The f-Ti_(3)C_(2)MXene which is immune to restacking can provide a highly conductive substrate for the rapid transport of Li+ions and electrons and possess adequate electrolyte accessible area.Moreover,f-Ti_(3)C_(2)MXene can efficiently relieve the aggregation,prevent the pulverization and buffer the large volume change of Fe nanocomplex during lithiation/delithiation process,leading to enhanced charge transfer kinetics and excellent structural stability of FPTC composites.Consequently,the FPTC hybrids exhibit a high capacity of 535 mAh·g^(-1)after 150 cycles at 0.5 A·g^(-1)and an enhanced rate performance with 310 mAh·g^(-1)after 850 cycles at 5 A·g^(-1).This strategy is facile,universal and can be extended tofabricate various few-layered MXene-derived hybrids with superior rate capability.Pengfei Huang Shunlong Zhang Hangjun Ying Wentao Yang Jianli Wang Rongnan Guo Weiqiang Han 2021Nano Research2021,14,4:3

12Zonal overturning circulation and heat flux induced by heaving modes in the world oceans显示文摘Zonal overturning circulation(ZOC) and its associated zonal heat flux(ZHF) are important components of the oceanic circulation and climate system, although these conceptions have not received adequate attentions.Heaving induced by inter-annual and decadal wind stress perturbations can give rise to anomalous ZOC and ZHF.Based on a simple reduced gravity model, the anomalous ZOC and ZHF induced by idealized heaving modes in the world oceans are studied. For example, in a Pacific-like model basin intensified equatorial easterly on decadal time scales can lead to a negative ZOC with a non-negligible magnitude(–0.3×106 m3/s) and a considerable westward ZHF with an amplitude of –11.2 TW. 13Fast screening compositions of PM2.5 by ATR-FTIR: Comparison with results from IC and OC/EC analyzers显示文摘Chemical speciation of fine particles or PM_(2.5) collected on filters is still a costly and timeconsuming task. In this study, filter-based PM_(2.5) samples were collected during November–December 2013 at four sites in Guangzhou, and the major components were fast screened(~7 min per filter sample) by Attenuated Total Reflectance(ATR)-Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopic(FTIR) in comparison with that measured by Organic carbon/Element carbon(OC/EC) analyzer and Ion Chromatography(IC). The concentrations of nitrate, ammonium, sulfate,primary organic carbon(POC) and secondary organic carbon(SOC) measured by OC/EC and IC analyzers were better correlated with their infrared absorption peak heights at 1320 cm^(-1) for nitrate, 1435, 3045 and 3215 cm^(-1) for ammonium, 615 cm^(-1) for sulfate, 690, 760 and 890 cm^(-1) for POC and 1640 and 1660 cm^(-1) for SOC respectively, during polluted days(PM_(2.5)> 75 μg/m^3) than during clean days(PM_(2.5)≤ 75 μg/m^3). With the evolution of a haze episode during our field campaign, the concentrations of the major PM_(2.5) components displayed consistent variations with their infrared absorption peak heights, suggesting ATR-FTIR could be a fast and useful technique to characterize filter-based PM_(2.5) compositions particularly during pollution events although cautions should be taken when PM_(2.5) levels are low. 15Changes in chemical composition,structural and functional microbiome during alfalfa(Medicago sativa)ensilage with Lactobacillus plantarum PS-8显示文摘Improving silage production by adding exogenous microorganisms not only maximizes nutrient preservation,but also extends product shelf life.Herein,changes in the quality and quantity of Lactobacillus plantarum PS-8(PS-8)-inoculated alfalfa(Medicago sativa)during silage fermentation were monitored at d 0,7,14,and 28(inoculum dose of PS-8 was 1105 colony forming units[cfu]/g fresh weight;50 kg per bag;10 bags for each time point)by reconstructing metagenomic-assembled genomes(MAG)and Growth Rate InDex(GRiD).Our results showed that the exogenous starter bacterium,PS-8 inoculation,became the most dominating strain by d 7,and possibly played a highly active role throughout the fermentation process.The pH value of the silage decreased greatly,accompanied by the growth of acidproducing microorganisms namely PS-8,which inhibited the growth of harmful microorganisms like molds(4.18 vs.1.42 log cfu/g)and coliforms(4.95 vs.0.66 log most probable number[MPN]/g).The content of neutral detergent fiber(NDF)decreased significantly(41.6%vs.37.6%;dry matter basis).In addition,the abundance and diversity of genes coding microbial carbohydrate-active enzymes(CAZymes)increased significantly and desirably throughout the fermentation,particularly the genes responsible for degrading starch,arabino-xylan,and cellulose.Overall,our results showed that PS-8 was replicating rapidly and consistently during early-and mid-fermentation phases,promoting the growth of beneficial lactic acid bacteria and inhibiting undesirable microbes,ultimately improving the quality of silage.Lijun You Weichen Bao Caiqing Yao Feiyan Zhao Hao Jin Weiqiang Huang Bohai Li Lai-Yu Kwok Wenjun Liu 2022Animal Nutrition2022,,2:2
