Coal and gas outburst dynamic system显示文摘Coal and gas outburst is an extremely complex dynamic disaster in coal mine production process which will damage casualties and equipment facilities, and disorder the ventilation system by suddenly ejecting a great amount of coal and gas into roadway or working face. This paper analyzed the interaction among the three essential elements of coal and gas outburst dynamic system. A stress-seepage-damage coupling model was established which can be used to simulate the evolution of the dynamical system, and then the size scale of coal and gas outburst dynamical system was investigated. Results show that the dynamical system is consisted of three essential elements, coal-gas medium(material basis), geology dynamic environment(internal motivation) and mining disturbance(external motivation). On the case of C13 coal seam in Panyi Mine, the dynamical system exists in the range of 8–12 m in front of advancing face. The size scale will be larger where there are large geologic structures. This research plays an important guiding role for developing measures of coal and gas outburst prediction and prevention.Fan Chaojun Li Sheng Luo Mingkun Du Wenzhang Yang Zhenhua 2017International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2017,27,1:19
A comprehensive review on recent progress in aluminum-air batteries显示文摘The aluminum-air battery is considered to be an attractive candidate as a power source for electric vehicles(EVs) because of its high theoretical energy density(8100 Wh kg^(-1)), which is significantly greater than that of the state-of-the-art lithium-ion batteries(LIBs). However, some technical and scientific problems preventing the large-scale development of Al-air batteries have not yet to be resolved. In this review, we present the fundamentals, challenges and the recent advances in Al-air battery technology from aluminum anode, air cathode and electrocatalysts to electrolytes and inhibitors. Firstly, the alloying of aluminum with transition metal elements is reviewed and shown to reduce the selfcorrosion of Al and improve battery performance. Additionally for the cathode, extensive studies of electrocatalytic materials for oxygen reduction/evolution including Pt and Pt alloys, nonprecious metal catalysts, and carbonaceous materials at the air cathode are highlighted. Moreover, for the electrolyte, the application of aqueous and nonaqueous electrolytes in Al-air batteries are discussed. Meanwhile, the addition of inhibitors to the electrolyte to enhance electrochemical performance is also explored. Finally, the challenges and future research directions are proposed for the further development of Al-air batteries.Yisi Liu Qian Sun Wenzhang Li Keegan R.Adair Jie Li Xueliang Sun 2017Green Energy & Environment2017,2,3:13
Probiotics inhibit TNF-α-induced interleukin-8 secretion of HT29 cells显示文摘AIM:To study the effect of probiotics on interleukin-8 secretion in intestinal epithelia when stimulated by proinflammatory cytokines.METHODS: Colonic adenocarcinoma HT29 cells were cultured and divided into four groups:control,TNF-α (group T in short),bifidobacterium (group B), lactobacillus (group L). B. Longum and L. bulgaricus were suspended in culture medium with a concentration of 1×10^8cfu/ml and added into 24 wells respectively. One hour later TNF-α (10ng/ml) was added into each well of groups T, B, L. The supernatants were collected and measured for IL-8 after 3 hours, nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) p65 was also examined by Western blotting.RESULTS:There was less interleukin-8 secretion in HT29 cells when preincubated with B. Longum or L. bulgaricus compared with group T.Less p65 appeared in nuclei in groups B and L compared with group T,as detected by Westem blot.CONCLUSION:Probiotics can suppress interleukin-8 secretion in intestinal epithelia when stimulated by proinflammatory cytokines, which is most likely mediated by NF-κB.Ai-PingBai QinOuyang WenZhang Chun-HuiWang Sheng-FuLi 2004World Journal of Gastroenterology2004,10,3:12
Simulation of general three-body interactions in a nuclear magnetic resonance ensemble quantum computer显示文摘Three-body interaction plays an important role in many-body physics, and quantum computer is efficient in simulating many-body interactions. We have experimentally demonstrated the general three-body interactions in a three-qubit nuclear magnetic resonance ensemble quantum computer. Using a nuclear magnetic resonance computer we implemented general forms of three-body interactions including σ 1x σ z2 σ x3 and σ 1x σ z2 σ y3 . The results show good agreement between theory and experiment. We have also given a concise and practical formula for a general n-body interaction in terms of one-and two-body interactions.LIU WenZhang ZHANG JingFu DENG ZhiWei LONG GuiLu 2008Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2008,51,8:6
Induction of Heme Oxygenase-1 in Human Hepatocytes to Protect Them From Ethanol-induced Cytotoxicity显示文摘Background/Aim We investigated the relationship between ethanol exposure and heme oxygenase (HO-1) in human hepatocytes in order to ascertain if induction of HO-1 can prevent ethanol induced cellular damage. Methods Dose-dependent (25-100 mmol/L) and time-dependent (0-24 h) ethanol exposure were used in the present study. HO-1 mRNA and protein expression were detected by PT-PCR and Western blot respectively. HO-1 activity was indicated by bilirubin and Fe2+ formation. Cytotoxicity was investigated by means of lactate dehydrogenate (LDH) and aspartate transaminase (AST) level in culture supernatants, as well as the intracellular formation of malondialdehyde (MDA), cellular glutathione (GSH) status and CYP 2E1 activity. Results We first demonstrated a dose-dependent response between ethanol exposure and HO-1 mRNA and protein expression in human hepatocytes. We further observed a time-dependent increase of HO-1 mRNA expression using 100 mmol/L ethanol starting 30 minutes after ethanol exposure, reaching its maximum between 3 h and 9 h. Being similar to what had been demonstrated with the mRNA level, increased protein expression started at 6 h after ethanol exposure, and kept continuous elevated over 18 h. In addition, we found that ethanol exposure to hepatocytes markedly increased HO-1 enzyme activity in a time-dependent manner measured as bilirubin and Fe2+ formation in human hepatocytes. Our results clearly showed that ethanol exposure caused a significant increase of LDH, AST, and MDA levels, while the antioxidant GSH was time-dependently reduced. Furthermore, we demonstrated that pre-administration of cobalt protoporphyrin (CoPP) induced HO-1 in human hepatocytes, and prevented an increase of MDA and a decrease of GSH. These effects could be partially reversed by zinc protoporphyrin (ZnPP), an antagonist of HO-1 induction. Conclusion HO-1 expression in cells or organs could lead to new strategies for better prevention and treatment of ethanol-induced oxidative damage in human liver.LIE-GANGLIU HONGYAN WENZHANG PINGYAO XI-PINGZHANG XIU-FASUN ANDREASK.NUSSLER 2004Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2004,17,3:5

FCC DeSO_x and DeNO_x additive technology显示文摘The fluid catalytic cracking(FCC) is the principal gasoline producing process in the refinery. Considerable amounts of harmful sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides (SO x and NO x) are generated with the FCC operation. Impacted by strengthening environmental regulations and the current global emphasis on environmental protection and pollution abatement, refiners have been meaning to look for effective ways to control and reduce SO x and NO x emissions. FCC DeSO x and DeNO x additives is the most promising measure. The present paper reviews the developments in FCC DeSO x and DeNO x additive technology based on the respective authors’ works, the future directions of the technology are also discussed.WEN Bin, HE Min\|yuan\+* (Research Institute of Petroleum Processing, SINOPEC, Beijing 100083, China. 12Studies of Improving the Frequency of Indica Rice Transformation by Biolistic Bombardment显示文摘In order to improve the frequency of indica rice transformation by biolistic bombardment, suitable culture conditions for embryonic calli,an optimal selection scheme for resistant calli and seedlings, and optimum bombardment parameters a investigated by using 14 commercially important indica rice cultivars. The main results show that the CC medium with 36g/L mannitol is a scheme subculture medium in which the browning of indica rice calli can be mitigated significantly; The concentration of 30~40mg/L Hyg or 150~200mg/L G418 or 10~20 mg/L Basta is suitable for selection of resistant calli; The transformation parameters of 100μg gold powder absorbing 0.2μg DNA per shot and 900 psi helium pressure and 6 cm bombardment distance and bombarded twice for each plate give the best result; Keeping the target calli on osmotic medium containing 60g/L mannitol from 12 ~24h before bombardment to 24~48h after it can increase the efficiencies of transformation . Furthermore, some transgenic indica rice plants are obtained using this optimized transformation system.易自力 Wang Li Cao Shouyun Yuan Longping Guan Chunyun Zhau Puhan Tian Wenzhang Chu Chengcai 2003High Technology Letters2003,9,1:1

Recent advances in regulating the performance of acid oxygen reduction reaction on carbon-supported non-precious metal single atom catalysts显示文摘Developing high performance and low-cost catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)in challenging acid condition is vital for proton-exchange-membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs).Carbon-supported nonprecious metal single atom catalysts(SACs)have been identified as potential catalysts in the field.Great advance has been obtained in constructing diverse active sites of SACs for improving the performance and understanding the fundamental principles of regulating acid ORR performance. However, the ORR performance of SACs is still unsatisfactory.Importantly, microenvironment adjustment of SACs offers chance to promote the performance of acid ORR.In this review, acid ORR mechanism, attenuation mechanism and performance improvement strategies of SACs are presented. The strategies for promoting ORR activity of SACs include the adjustment of center metal and its microenvironment. The relationship of ORR performance and structure is discussed with the help of advanced experimental investigations and theoretical calculations, which will offer helpful direction for designing advanced SACs for ORR.Yanqiu Wang Jiayu Hao Yang Liu Min Liu Kuang Sheng Yue Wang Jun Yang Jie Li Wenzhang Li 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,1:1
