1PVT v2:Improved baselines with Pyramid Vision Transformer显示文摘Transformers have recently lead to encouraging progress in computer vision.In this work,we present new baselines by improving the original Pyramid Vision Transformer(PVT v1)by adding three designs:(i)a linear complexity attention layer,(ii)an overlapping patch embedding,and(iii)a convolutional feed-forward network.With these modifications,PVT v2 reduces the computational complexity of PVT v1 to linearity and provides significant improvements on fundamental vision tasks such as classification,detection,and segmentation.In particular,PVT v2 achieves comparable or better performance than recent work such as the Swin transformer.We hope this work will facilitate state-ofthe-art transformer research in computer vision.Code is available at https://github.com/whai362/PVT.Wenhai Wang Enze Xie Xiang Li Deng-Ping Fan Kaitao Song Ding Liang Tong Lu Ping Luo Ling Shao 2022Computational Visual Media2022,8,3:30
2Effect of phosphogypsum and dicyandiamide as additives on NH_3,N_2O and CH_4 emissions during composting显示文摘A laboratory scale experiment of composting in a forced aeration system using pig manure with cornstalks was carried out to investigate the effects of both phosphogypsum and dicyandiamide (DCD, C2 H4 N4 ) as additives on gaseous emissions and compost quality. Besides a control, there were three amended treatments with different amounts of additives. The results indicated that the phosphogypsum addition at the rate of 10% of mixture dry weight decreased NH3 and CH4 emissions significantly during composting. The addition of DCD at the rate of 0.2% of mixture dry weight together with 10% of phosphogypsum further reduced the N20 emission by affecting the nitrification process. Reducing the phosphogypsum addition to 5% in the presence of 0.2% DCD moderately increased the NH3 emissions but not N20 emission. The additives increased the ammonium content and electrical conductivity significantly in the final compost. No adverse effect on organic matter degradation or the germination index of the compost was found in the amended treatments. 3Use of additive and pretreatment to control odors in municipal kitchen waste during aerobic composting显示文摘The effects of adding a bulking agent and chemically pretreating municipal kitchen waste before aerobic composting were studied using a laboratory-scale system. The system used20-L reactors and each test lasted 28 days. The objective was to decrease NH3 and H2S emissions during composting. The bulking agent, dry cornstalks, was mixed with the kitchen waste to give a mixture containing 15%(wet weight) bulking agent. A combined treatment was also conducted, in which kitchen waste mixed with the bulking agent was pretreated with ferric chloride(FeC l3). Less leachate was produced by the composted kitchen waste mixed with bulking agent than by the kitchen waste alone, when the materials had reached the required maturity. The presence of cornstalks also caused less H2 S to be emitted, but had little impact on the amount of NH3 emitted. The FeC l3 was found to act as an effective chemical flocculant,and its presence significantly decreased the amounts of NH3 and H2S emitted. 4Control of aliphatic halogenated DBP precursors with multiple drinking water treatment processes: Formation potential and integrated toxicity显示文摘The comprehensive control efficiency for the formation potentials(FPs) of a range of regulated and unregulated halogenated disinfection by-products(DBPs)(including carbonaceous DBPs(C-DBPs), nitrogenous DBPs(N-DBPs), and iodinated DBPs(I-DBPs)) with the multiple drinking water treatment processes, including pre-ozonation, conventional treatment(coagulation–sedimentation, pre-sand filtration), ozone-biological activated carbon(O_3-BAC) advanced treatment, and post-sand filtration, was investigated. The potential toxic risks of DBPs by combing their FPs and toxicity values were also evaluated.The results showed that the multiple drinking water treatment processes had superior performance in removing organic/inorganic precursors and reducing the formation of a range of halogenated DBPs. Therein, ozonation significantly removed bromide and iodide,and thus reduced the formation of brominated and iodinated DBPs. The removal of organic carbon and nitrogen precursors by the conventional treatment processes was substantially improved by O_3-BAC advanced treatment, and thus prevented the formation of chlorinated C-DBPs and N-DBPs. However, BAC filtration leads to the increased formation of brominated C-DBPs and N-DBPs due to the increase of bromide/DOC and bromide/DON.After the whole multiple treatment processes, the rank order for integrated toxic risk values caused by these halogenated DBPs was haloacetonitriles(HANs)》haloacetamides(HAMs) >haloacetic acids(HAAs) > trihalomethanes(THMs) > halonitromethanes(HNMs) 》I-DBPs(I-HAMs and I-THMs). I-DBPs failed to cause high integrated toxic risk because of their very low FPs. 5Interaction mechanisms of organic contaminants with burned straw ash charcoal显示文摘Black carbons(e.g.,charcoal) have a great impact on the transport of organic contaminants in soil and water because of its strong affnity and ubiquity in the environment.To further elucidate their interaction mechanism,sorption of polar(p-nitrotoluene,m-dinitrobenzene and nitrobenzene) and nonpolar(naphthalene) aromatic contaminants to burned straw ash charcoal under different de-ashed treatments were investigated.The sorption isotherms fitted well with Freundlich equation,and the Freundlich N values were all around 0.31-0.38,being independent of the sorbate properties and sorbent types.After sequential removal of ashes by acid treatments(HCl and HCl-HF) ,both adsorption and partition were enhanced due to the enrichment of charcoal component.The separated contribution of adsorption and partition to total sorption were quantified.The effective carbon content in ash charcoal functioned as adsorption sites,partition phases,and hybrid regions with adsorption and partition were conceptualized and calculated.The hybrid regions increased obviously after de-ashed treatment.The linear relationships of Freundlich N values with the charring-temperature of charcoal or biochar(the charred byproduct in biomass pyrolysis) were observed based on the current study and the cited publications which included 15 different temperatures(100-850°C) ,10 kinds of precursors of charcoal/biochar,and 10 organic sorbates.Wenhai Huang,Baoliang Chen Department of Environmental Science,Zhejiang University,Hangzhou 310028,China 2010Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,10:14
6Precise orbit determination of a maneuvered GEO satellite using CAPS ranging data显示文摘Wheel-off-loadings and orbital maneuvers of the GEO satellite result in additional accelerations to the satellite itself. Complex and difficult to model, these time varying accelerations are an important error source of precise orbit determination (POD). In most POD practices, only non-maneuver orbital arcs are treated. However, for some applications such as satellite navigation RDSS services, uninterrupted orbital ephemeris is demanded, requiring the development of POD strategies to be processed both during and after an orbital maneuver. We in this paper study the POD for a maneuvered GEO satellite, using high precision and high sampling rate ranging data obtained with Chinese Area Positioning System (CAPS). The strategy of long arc POD including maneuver arcs is studied by using telemetry data to model the maneuver thrust process. Combining the thrust and other orbital perturbations, a long arc of 6 days’ CAPS ranging data is analyzed. If the telemetry data are not available or contain significant errors, attempts are made to estimate thrusting parameters using CAPS ranging data in the POD as an alternative to properly account for the maneuver. 8Spatial and temporal variation of haze in China from 1961 to 2012显示文摘The purpose of this study is to analyze the climatic characteristics and long-term spatial and temporal variations of haze occurrence in China. The impact factors of haze trends are also discussed. Meteorological data from 1961 to 2012 and daily PM10 concentrations from2003 to 2012 were employed in this study. The results indicate that the annual-average hazy days at all stations have been increasing rapidly from 4 days in 1961 to 18 days in 2012. The maximum number of haze days occur in winter(41.1%) while the minimum occur in summer(10.4%). During 1961-2012, the high occurrence areas of haze shifted from central to south and east regions of China. The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(Jing-Jin-Ji) region, Shanxi,Shaanxi, and Henan Province are the high occurrence areas for haze, while the Yangtze River Delta(YRD) and the Pearl River Delta(PRD) have become regions with high haze occurrences in the last 25 years. Temperature and pressure are positively correlated with the number of haze days. However, wind, relative humidity, precipitation, and sunshine duration are negatively correlated with the number of haze days. The key meteorological factors affecting the formation and dissipation of haze vary for high and low altitudes, and are closely related to anthropogenic activities. 9Distributed Adaptive Cooperative Tracking of Uncertain Nonlinear Fractional-order Multi-agent Systems显示文摘In this paper, the leader-following tracking problem of fractional-order multi-agent systems is addressed. The dynamics of each agent may be heterogeneous and has unknown nonlinearities. By assumptions that the interaction topology is undirected and connected and the unknown nonlinear uncertain dynamics can be parameterized by a neural network, an adaptive learning law is proposed to deal with unknown nonlinear dynamics, based on which a kind of cooperative tracking protocols are constructed. The feedback gain matrix is obtained to solve an algebraic Riccati equation. To construct the fully distributed cooperative tracking protocols, the adaptive law is also adopted to adjust the coupling weight. With the developed control laws,we can prove that all signals in the closed-loop systems are guaranteed to be uniformly ultimately bounded. 10A Nowcasting Technique Based on Application of the Particle Filter Blending Algorithm显示文摘To improve the accuracy of nowcasting, a new extrapolation technique called particle filter blending was configured in this study and applied to experimental nowcasting. Radar echo extrapolation was performed by using the radar mosaic at an altitude of 2.5 km obtained from the radar images of 12 S-band radars in Guangdong Province,China. The first bilateral filter was applied in the quality control of the radar data; an optical flow method based on the Lucas–Kanade algorithm and the Harris corner detection algorithm were used to track radar echoes and retrieve the echo motion vectors; then, the motion vectors were blended with the particle filter blending algorithm to estimate the optimal motion vector of the true echo motions; finally, semi-Lagrangian extrapolation was used for radar echo extrapolation based on the obtained motion vector field. A comparative study of the extrapolated forecasts of four precipitation events in 2016 in Guangdong was conducted. The results indicate that the particle filter blending algorithm could realistically reproduce the spatial pattern, echo intensity, and echo location at 30-and 60-min forecast lead times. The forecasts agreed well with observations, and the results were of operational significance. Quantitative evaluation of the forecasts indicates that the particle filter blending algorithm performed better than the cross-correlation method and the optical flow method. 11Carbonaceous and nitrogenous disinfection by-product formation in the surface and ground water treatment plants using Yellow River as water source显示文摘This work investigated the formation of carbonaceous and nitrogenous disinfection by-products (C-DBPs, N-DBPs) upon chlorination of water samples collected from a surface water and a ground water treatment plant (SWTP and GWTP) where the conventional treatment processes, i.e., coagulation, sedimentation, and filtration were employed. Twenty DBPs, including four trihalomethanes, nine haloacetic acids, seven N-DBPs (dichloroacetamide, trichloroacetamide, dichloroacetonitrile, trichloroacetonitrile, bromochloroace-tonitrile, dibromoacetonitrile and trichloronitromethane), and eight volatile chlorinated compounds (dichloromethane (DCM), 1,2-dichloroethane, tetrachloroethylene, chlorobenzene, 1,2-dichlorobenzene, 1,4-dichlorobenzene, 1,2,3-trichlorobenzene and 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene) were detected in the two WTPs. The concentrations of these contaminants were all below their corresponding maximum contamination levels (MCLs) regulated by the Standards for Drinking Water Quality of China (GB5749-2006) except for DCM (17.1 μg/L detected vs. 20 μg/L MCL). 14The temporal-spatial distribution and changes of dissolved oxygen in the Changjiang Estuary and its adjacent waters for the last 50 a显示文摘The Changjiang Estuary and its adjacent waters form one of the most important estuarine and coastal areas in China. Multi source and long-term data are assembled to examine the temporal-spatial distribution features of dissolved oxygen(DO) in the Changjiang Estuary and its adjacent waters for the past 50 a. The results show that the DO concentration in the surface of different seasons generally stays stable, while the DO concentration in winter displays a slight increase for the last 50 a. The DO average concentration in winter and spring varies from 7to 11 mg/L, and in summer and autumn from 6 to 8 mg/L. Hypoxic values first appear in May, and low DO value plume can be observed on the bottom in spring along coastal areas of Zhejiang and Fujian Provinces, China. In summer, the plume advances northward, and the hypoxic intensity of northern transects is much higher than southern transects. Until autumn, hypoxia areas fade away little by little, and completely disappear in winter.Within last 50 a, hypoxia in the Changjiang Estuary and its adjacent waters starts to appear in the 1980 s. Since2000, the degree of hypoxia has increased seriously and the distribution depth has become smaller. 15High-resolution, full-color quantum dot light-emitting diode display fabricated via photolithography approach显示文摘Displays play an extremely important role in modern information society,which creates a never-ending demand for the new and better products and technologies.The latest requirements for novel display technologies focus on high resolution and high color gamut.Among emerging technologies that include organic light-emitting diode(OL ED),micro light-emiting diode(micro-LED),quantum dot light-emitting diode(QLED),laser display,holographic display and others,QLED is promising owing to its intrinsic high color gamut and the possibility to achieve high resolution with photolithography approach.However,previously demonstrated photolthography techniques suffer from reduced device performance and color Impurities in subpixels from the process.In this study,we demonstrated a sacrificial layer assisted patterming(SLAP)approach,which can be applied in conjunction with photolithography to fabricate high-resolution,full-colo quantum dot(QD)patterns.In this approach,the negative photoresist(PR)and sacrificial layer(SL)were uilized to determine the pixels for QD deposition,while at the same time the SL helps protect the QD layer and keep it intact(named PR-SL approach).To prove this method's viability for QLED display manufacture,a 500-ppi,full-color passive matrix(PM)-QLED prototype was fabricated via this process.Results show that there were no color impurities in the subpixels,and the PM-QL ED has a high color gamut of 114%National Television Standards Committee(NTSC).To the best of our knowledge,this is the first ull-olor QLED prototype with such a high resolution.We anticipate that this innovative patteming technique will open a new horizon for future display technologies and may lead to a disruptive and innovative change in display industry.Wenhai Mei Zhenqi Zhang Aidi Zhang Dong Li Xiaoyuan Zhang Haowei Wang Zhuo Chen Yanzhao Li Xinguo Li Xiaoguang Xu 2020Nano Research2020,13,9:6
16Differences in dry sliding wear behavior between HVAF-sprayed amorphous steel and crystalline stainless steel coatings显示文摘Dry sliding wear behavior of amorphous steel coating(ASC) and crystalline stainless steel coating(SSC)manufactured by high-velocity-air-fuel-spraying was investigated. With increasing normal load, coefficient of friction(COF) of ASC decreases slightly from 0.78 to 0.69. COF of SSC presents a minor difference under various normal loads but increases with sliding time accompanied by relatively large fluctuation.Such a difference in friction behavior between such two coatings can be understood based upon the roles of shear stress and flash temperature. Wear rate of SSC is much higher than that of ASC, suggesting better wear resistance of ASC. The enhanced wear resistance is correlated with high hardness(H), reduced Young’s modulus(E_r), and ratios of H/Erand H^3/Er^2. 17Advances in lung cancer screening and early detection显示文摘Lung cancer is associated with a heavy cancer-related burden in terms of patients’physical and mental health worldwide.Two randomized controlled trials,the US-National Lung Screening Trial(NLST)and Nederlands-Leuvens Longkanker Screenings Onderzoek(NELSON),indicated that low-dose CT(LDCT)screening results in a statistically significant decrease in mortality in patients with lung cancer,LDCT has become the standard approach for lung cancer screening.However,many issues in lung cancer screening remain unresolved,such as the screening criteria,high false-positive rate,and radiation exposure.This review first summarizes recent studies on lung cancer screening from the US,Europe,and Asia,and discusses risk-based selection for screening and the related issues.Second,an overview of novel techniques for the differential diagnosis of pulmonary nodules,including artificial intelligence and molecular biomarker-based screening,is presented.Third,current explorations of strategies for suspected malignancy are summarized.Overall,this review aims to help clinicians understand recent progress in lung cancer screening and alleviate the burden of lung cancer.Caichen Li Huiting Wang Yu Jiang Wenhai Fu Xiwen Liu Ran Zhong Bo Cheng Feng Zhu Yang Xiang Jianxing He Wenhua Liang 2022Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,5:6
18Preparation of bioactive glasses with controllable degradation behavior and their bioactive characterization显示文摘Bioactive glasses and ceramics have been widely investigated for bone repair because of their excel-lent bioactive characteristics. However, these biomaterials undergo incomplete conversion into a bone-like material, which severely limits their biomedical application. In this paper, borosilicate bioac-tive glasses were prepared by traditional melting process. The results showed that borosilicate glasses possessed high biocompatibility and bioactivity. In addition, when immersed in a 0.02 mol/L K2HPO4 solution, particles of a borate glass were fully converted to HA. The desirable conversion rate to HA may be achieved through the adjustment of the B2O3/SiO2 ratio. 19An effective thermodynamic transformation analysis method for actual irreversible cycle显示文摘An effective thermodynamic transformation analysis method was proposed in this study. According to the phenomenon of exergy consumption always coupling with heat transfer process, the effective thermodynamic temperatures were defined, then the actual power cycle or refrigeration/heat pump cycle was transformed into the equivalent reversible Carnot or reverse Carnot cycles for thermodynamic analysis. The derived effective thermodynamic temperature of the hot reservoir of the equivalent reverse Carnot cycle is the basis of the proposed method. The combined diagram of TR-h and TR-q was adopted for the analysis of the system performance and the exergy consumption, which takes advantage of the visual expression of the heat/work exchange and the enthalpy change, and is convenient for the calculation of the coefficient of performance and exergy consumptions. Take a heat pump water heater with refrigerant of R22 for example, the proposed method was systematically introduced, and the fitting formulas of the effective thermodynamic temperatures were given as demonstration.
