1Topologically Protected Edge State in Two-Dimensional Su–Schrieffer–Heeger Circuit显示文摘Topological circuits,an exciting feld just emerged over the last two years,have become a very accessible platform for realizing and exploring topological physics,with many of their physical phenomena and potential applications as yet to be discovered.In this work,we design and experimentally demonstrate a topologically nontrivial band structure and the associated topologically protected edge states in an RF circuit,which is composed of a collection of grounded capacitors connected by alternating inductors in the x and y directions,in analogy to the Su–Schriefer–Heeger model.We take full control of the topological invariant(i.e.,Zak phase)as well as the gap width of the band structure by simply tuning the circuit parameters.Excellent agreement is found between the experimental and simulation results,both showing obvious nontrivial edge state that is tightly bound to the circuit boundaries with extreme robustness against various types of defects.Te demonstration of topological properties in circuits provides a convenient and fexible platform for studying topological materials and the possibility for developing fexible circuits with highly robust circuit performance.Shuo Liu Wenlong Gao Qian Zhang Shaojie Ma Lei Zhang Changxu Liu Yuan Jiang Xiang Tie Jun Cui Shuang Zhang 2019Research2019,,1:6

3Petroleum Origins and Accumulation Patterns in the Weixinan Sag in the Beibu Gulf Basin,Using Subsag B as an Example显示文摘Crude oil has been discovered in the Paleogene and Neogene units of the Weixinan Sag in the Beibu Gulf Basin.To determine the source and accumulation mode of this crude oil,12 crude oil samples and 27 source rock samples were collected and an extensive organic geochemical analysis was conducted on them.Based on the geological conditions and the analytical results,the types,origins and accumulation patterns of crude oil in the study area were elucidated.Except for a shallowly-buried and biodegraded crude oil deposit in Neogene rocks,the crude oil samples in the study area were normal.All of the crude oils were derived from lacustrine source rocks.According to biomarker compositions,the crude oils could be divided into two families,A and B,distinctions that were reinforced by differences in carbon isotope composition and spatial distribution.Oil-source correlation analysis based on biomarkers revealed that Family A oils were derived from the mature oil shale at the bottom of the second member of the Liushagang Formation,while the Family B oils formed in the mature shale of the Liushagang Formation.The Family A oils,generated by oil shale,mainly migrated laterally along sand bodies and were then redistributed in adjacent reservoirs above and below the oil shale layer,as well as in shallow layers at high structural positions,occupying a wide distribution range.The Family B oils were generated by other shale units before migrating vertically along faults to form reservoirs nearby,resulting in a narrow distribution range.GAO Gang XU Xinde QU Tong GAN Jun DANG Wenlong ZHOU Xiaoxiao LIU Fengyan 2020Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,5:3
4Octupole corner state in a three-dimensional topological circuit显示文摘Higher-order topological insulators(HOTIs)represent a new family of topological materials featuring quantized bulk polarizations and zero-dimensional corner states.In recent years,zero-dimensional corner states have been demonstrated in two-dimensional systems in the form of quadrupole modes or dipole modes.Due to the challenges in designing and constructing three-dimensional systems,octupole corner modes in 3D have not been observed.In this work,we experimentally investigate octupole topological phases in a three-dimensional electrical circuit,which can be viewed as a cubic lattice version of the Hofstadter model with aπ-flux threading each plaquette.We experimentally observe in our higher-order topological circuit a 0D corner state manifested as a localized impedance peak.The observed corner state in the electrical circuit is induced by the octupole moment of the bulk circuit and is topologically protected by anticommuting spatial symmetries of the circuit lattice.Our work provides a platform for investigating higher-order topological effects in three-dimensional electrical circuits.Shuo Liu Shaojie Ma Qian Zhang Lei Zhang Cheng Yang Oubo You Wenlong Gao Yuanjiang Xiang Tie Jun Cui Shuang Zhang 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:3
5Clinical data analysis reveals the role of OGR1 (GPR68) in head and neck squamous cancer显示文摘Background:Head and neck squamous cancer(HNSC)frequently occurs in the clinic.Revealing the role of the genes that correlate with cancer cell outgrowth will contribute to potential treatment target identification and tumor inhibition.Methods:The gene expression profiles and gene ontology of the proton-sensing G-protein-coupled receptor OGR1 were analyzed using the TCGA(The Cancer Genome Atlas)database.The effects of sex,age,race,and degree of malignancy on HNSC were investigated,and the survival times of HNSC patients with high or low/medium expression levels of OGR1 were compared.Methylation of the OGR1 promoter CpG sites was also investigated and OGR1-related genes were analyzed using gene set enrichment analysis.Results:OGR1 is overexpressed in HNSC patients.However,compared with the low/median expression group,the high OGR1 expression group did not have different survival rates.The OGR1 expression level differed across sex,age,race,and degree of malignancy,while the methylation of the OGR1 promoter CpG sites was maintained at a similar level.Gene set enrichment analysis revealed that OGR1 was positively correlated with head and neck cancer,cisplatin resistance,hypoxia,angiogenesis,cell migration,and TGF-β.Conclusion:The expression of OGR1 correlated with HNSC progression and survival and thus can serve as a potential treatment target and prognostic marker.Wenlong Zhang Yong Han Weisha Li Lin Cao Libo Yan Chuan Qin Ran Gao 2020Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2020,3,1:2

7Downregulation of HNRNPK in human cancer cells inhibits lung metastasis显示文摘Background: Lung cancer frequently occurs in the clinic, leading to poor prognosis and high mortality. Markers for early diagnosis of lung cancer are scarce, and further potential therapeutic targets are also urgently needed.Method: We established a new mouse model in which the specific gene HNRNPK(heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein K) was downregulated after administration of doxycycline. 8Effect of Ball-Milling Time on the Performance of Ni-Al2O3 Catalyst for 1,4-Butynediol Hydrogenation to Produce 1,4-Butenediol显示文摘The Ni-Al2O3 catalyst was prepared by the mechanochemical method in combination with a planetary ballmilling machine.Effect of milling time on the crystal structure,the reduction characteristics and the catalytic performance of Ni-Al2O3 catalyst for hydrogenation of 1,4-butynediol to produce 1,4-butenediol were investigated.The catalysts were characterized by PSD,EDX,XRD,H2-TPR,BET,TEM,and NH3-TPD methods.Results showed that the MCt2.5 catalyst treated at a ball milling time of 2.5 h could form a smallest particle size of 191.0 nm.The evaluation experiments revealed that the activity of the prepared catalyst increased at first and then reached a constant value with the extension of ballmilling time.The BYD conversion,BED selectivity and yield on the MCt2.5 catalyst reached 35.63%,33.48%and 32.46%,respectively,which were higher than those obtained by other samples.The excellent performance of MCt2.5 sample is mainly related to the following three reasons from characterization results.Firstly,it has a smallest particle size of 191.0 nm;and then,the surface acidity(in terms of strong acids)of the catalyst was weaker than other catalysts;and eventually,the loading amount(23.84%)of the active component Ni exceeded the theoretical value(20%).Gao Xianlong Mo Wenlong Ma Fengyun He Xiaoqiang 2020China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2020,22,1:2

13Effect of oxide scale on corrosion behavior of HP-13Cr stainless steel during well completion process显示文摘The well completion process in oil and gas industry,aiming to build effective exploitation,is divided into acidizing and formation water production process.Oxide scale(OS)formed on the inner wall of the HP-13Cr stainless steel tubes during the hot extrusion process changes the surface roughness.The effects of OS on the corrosion of HP-13Cr stainless steel during well completion process were studied by corrosion measurement,spectra analysis,microscopic observation and numerical simulation.The results indicate that the OS make no change of phase distribution and element composition of corrosion scale,while the increasing OS roughness is the dominant factor for accelerating corrosion rate during the well completion process.In acidizing process,the greater surface roughness OS of HP-13Cr stainless steel increases the corrosion rate obviously due to a larger interfacial area in contact with the aggressive environment.During subsequent formation water production process,the turbulence eddy,formed at locations characterized with greater surface roughness OS,can deteriorate the corrosion scale and accelerate the mass transfer of the corrosive species,resulting in more serious corrosion.Wenlong Qi Jidong Wang Xuanpeng Li Yanan Cui Yang Zhao Junfeng Xie Guanxin Zeng Qiuying Gao Tao Zhang Fuhui Wang 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,5:1

17Photonic topological fermi nodal disk in non-Hermitian magnetic plasma显示文摘Topological physics mainly arises as a necessary link between properties of the bulk and the appearance of surface states,and has led to successful discoveries of novel topological surface states in Chern insulators,topological insulators,and topological Fermi arcs in Weyl,Dirac,and Nodal line semimetals owing to their nontrivial bulk topology.In particular,topological phases in non-Hermitian systems have attracted growing interests in recent years.In this work,we predict the emergence of the topologically stable nodal disks where the real part of the eigen frequency is degenerate between two bands in non-ideal magnetohydrodynamics plasma with collision and viscosity dissipations.Each nodal disk possesses continuously distributed topological surface charge density that integrates to unity.It is found that the lossy Fermi arcs at the interface connect to the middle of the projection of the nodal disks.We further show that the emergence,coalescence,and annihilation of the nodal disks can be controlled by plasma parameters and dissipation terms.Our findings contribute to understanding of the linear theory of bulk and surface wave dispersions of non-ideal warm magnetic plasmas from the perspective of topological physics.Wenhui Wang Wenlong Gao Leifeng Cao Yuanjiang Xiang Shuang Zhang 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:0

20Genome resequencing reveals the evolutionary history of garlic reproduction traits显示文摘The propagation of cultivated garlic relies on vegetative cloves,thus flowers become non-essential for reproduction in this species,driving the evolution of reproductive feature-derived traits.To obtain insights into the evolutionary alteration of reproductive traits in the clonally propagated garlic,the evolutionary histories of two main reproduction-related traits,bolting and flower differentiation,were explored by genome analyses using 134 accessions displaying wide diversity in these two traits.Resequencing identified 272.8 million variations in the garlic genome,198.0million of which represent novel variants.Population analysis identified five garlic groups that have evolved into two clades.Gene expression,single-cell transcriptome sequencing,and genome-wide trait association analyses have identified numerous candidates that correlate with reproductive transition and flower development,some of which display distinct selection signatures.Selective forces acting on the B-box zinc finger protein-encoding Asa2G00291.1,the global transcription factor group E protein-encoding Asa5G01527.1,and VERNALIZATION INSENSITIVE 3-like Asa3G03399.1 appear to be representative of the evolution of garlic bolting.Plenty of novel genomic variations and trait-related candidates represent valuable resources for biological studies of garlic.Numerous selective signatures from genes associated with the two chosen reproductive traits provide important insights into the evolutionary history of reproduction in this clonally propagated crop.Haiping Wang Einat Shemesh-Mayer Jiangjiang Zhang Song Gao Zheng Zeng Zemao Yang Xueyu Zhang Huixia Jia Yanzhou Wang Jiangping Song Xiaohui Zhang Wenlong Yang Qiaoyun He Amir Sherman Lin Li Rina Kamenetsky Touming Liu 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,11:0
