1Method for Evaluating the Degrees of Land Use Sustainability of Mountainous County and its Application in Yunnan Province,China显示文摘The evaluation of sustainable land use is the key issue in the field of studying the sustainable land utilization. In general analysis, the sustainable land use is evaluated respectively from its ecological sustainability, economic sustainability and social sustainability in China and other countries in recent years. Although this evaluation is an important work, it seems insufficient and hard to comprehensively reflect the whole degree of land use sustainability. Thus, to make up this deficiency, this paper brings forward the evaluation indexes, which make it possible to quantitatively reflect the whole degree of land use sustainability, namely, the concept of 'degrees of overall land use sustainability' (DOS), and research and development of the method of measurement and calculation in DOS. Taking the evaluation of the degree of land use sustainability in county regions of Yunnan Province as the actual example for analysis, results are basically as follows:1) The degree of land use sustainability (DOS) is the ration index to organically and systematically integrate the degree of ecological friendliness (DEF), the degree of economic viability (DEV) and the degree of social acceptability (DSA), able to comprehensively reflect the whole sustainability degree of regional land use. 2) Based on the value of DOS, the grading system and standard for the sustainability of land use may be established and totally divided into five grades, namely, the high-degree sustainability, middle-degree sustainability, low-degree sustainability, conditional sustainability and non-sustainability. Meanwhile, the standard for distinguishing sustainability grades has also been confirmed so as to determine the nature of sustainability degrees in different grades. This makes the possibility for the combination of nature determination with ration in research result and provides with the scientific guideline and decision-making gist for better implementation of sustainable land use strategy.3) The practice in evaluation of sustainability degree in county regional land use in Yunnan shows that the value of the degree of land use sustainability (DOS) of whole Yunnan Province is only 58.39, belonging to the grade of low-degree sustainability. Two thirds of counties in the whole province represent the grade of 'conditional sustainability' and 'non-sustainability' in the sustainability of land use. Among these counties, 11.11 % shows 'non- sustainability'. The lowest degree of land use sustainability appears especially in the middle plateau mountain region of Northeast Yunnan, where the value of DOS in most counties (districts) is below 40 %, belonging to the grade of 'non-sustainability'. The sustainability degree in the karst mountainous region in lower-middle plateau mountain region in Southeast Yunnan is generally low and the value of sustainability degree (DOS) in most of the counties (cities and districts) is below 55. The value of sustainability degree (DOS) in most of the counties (cities and districts) in the north, west, northwest and southwest parts of Yunnan is below 55. 2Population Genomic Analysis and De Novo Assembly Reveal the Origin of Weedy Rice as an Evolutionary Game显示文摘Crop weediness,especially that of weedy rice(Oryza sativa f.spontanea),remains mysterious.Weedy rice possesses robust ecological adaptability;however,how this strain originated and gradually formed proprietary genetic features remains unclear?Here,we demonstrate that weedy rice at Asian high latitudes(WRAH)is phylogenetically well defined and possesses unselected genomic characteristics in many divergence regions between weedy and cultivated rice.We also identified novel quantitative trait loci underlying weedy-specific traits,and revealed that a genome block on the end of chromosome 1 is associated with rice weediness.To identify the genomic modifications underlying weedy rice evolution,we generated the first de novo assembly of a high-quality weedy rice genome(WR04-6),and conducted a comparative genomics study between WR04-6 with other rice reference genomes.Multiple lines of evidence,including the results of demographic scenario comparisons,suggest that differentiation between weedy rice and cultivated rice was initiated by genetic improvement of cultivated rice and that the essence of weediness arose through semi-domestication.A plant height model further implied that the origin of WRAH can be modeled as an evolutionary game and indicated that strategy-based selection driven by fitness shaped its genomic diversity.Jian Sun Dianrong Ma Liang Tang Minghui Zhao Guangchen Zhangh Wenjia Wang Jiayu Song Xiang Li Zimeng Liu Wenxing Zhang Quan Xu Yuncheng Zhou Jianzhong Wu Toshio Yamamoto Fei Dai Yan Lei Song Li Gang Zhou Hongkun Zheng Zhengjin Xu Wenfu Chen 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,5:9
3Intensive phototherapy vs.exchange transfusion for the treatment of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia:a multicenter retrospective cohort study显示文摘Background:Intensive phototherapy(IPT)and exchange transfusion(ET)are the main treatments for extreme hyperbilirubinemia.However,there is no reliable evidence on determining the thresholds for these treatments.This multicenter study compared the effectiveness and complications of IPT and ET in the treatment of extreme hyperbilirubinemia.Methods:This retrospective cohort study was conducted in seven centers from January 2015 to January 2018.Patients with extreme hyperbilirubinemia that met the criteria of ET were included.Patients were divided into three subgroups(low-,medium-,and high-risk)according to gestational week and risk factors.Propensity score matching(PSM)was performed to balance the data before treatment.Study outcomes included the development of bilirubin encephalopathy,duration of hospitalization,expenses,and complications.Mortality,auditory complications,seizures,enamel dysplasia,ocular motility disorders,athetosis,motor,and language development were evaluated during follow-up at age of 3 years.Results:A total of 1164 patients were included in this study.After PSM,296 patients in the IPT only group and 296 patients in the IPT plus ET group were further divided into the low-,medium-,and high-risk subgroups with 188,364,and 40 matched patients,respectively.No significant differences were found between the IPT only and IPT plus ET groups in terms of morbidity,complications,and sequelae.Hospitalization duration and expenses were lower in the low-and medium-risk subgroups in the IPT only group.Conclusions:In this study,our results suggest that IPT is a safe and effective treatment for extreme hyperbilirubinemia.The indication of ET for patients with hyperbilirubinemia could be stricter.However,it is necessary to have a contingency plan for emergency ET as soon as IPT is commenced especially for infants with risk factors.If IPT can be guaranteed and proved to be therapeutic,ET should be avoided as much as possible.Meng Zhang Yang He Jun Tang Wenbin Dong Yong Zhang Benjin Zhang Hong Wan Quanmin Deng Lirong Guan Bin Xia Zhong Chen Min Ge Jing Zhao Wenxing Li Jingjun Pei Yi Qu Dezhi Mu 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,5:7
4IL-17-triggered downregulation of miR-497 results in high HIF-1α expression and consequent IL-1β and IL-6 production by astrocytes in EAE mice显示文摘Interleukin 17(IL-17)is increasingly recognized as a key factor that contributes to the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis(MS)and its experimental mouse autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE)model.However,the roles and regulatory mechanisms of IL-17-induced pro-inflammatory cytokine production in EAE mice remain largely unclear.In this study,the expression of IL-17,hypoxia inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α),IL-1β,IL-6 and microRNA-497(miR-497),as well as their intrinsic associations,was investigated using EAE model mice and cultured astrocytes exposed to IL-17 in vitro.We observed markedly increased production of IL-17,HIF-1α,IL-1βand IL-6 in the brain tissues of EAE mice,while the expression and secretion of HIF-1α,IL-1βand IL-6 were also significantly increased when cultured primary astrocytes from mice were stimulated with IL-17.Meanwhile,the expression of miR-497 was downregulated both in vivo and in vitro.Subsequent in vitro experiments revealed that IL-17 induced the production of IL-1βand IL-6 in astrocytes through the upregulation of HIF-1αas a transcriptional factor,indicating that IL-17-mediated downregulation of miR-497 enhanced HIF-1αexpression.Furthermore,astrocytespecific knockdown of IL-17RA and HIF-1αor astrocyte-specific overexpression of miR-497 by infection with different lentiviral vectors containing an astrocyte-specific promotor markedly decreased IL-1βand IL-6 production in brain tissues and alleviated the pathological changes and score of EAE mice.Collectively,these findings indicate that decreased miR-497 expression is responsible for IL-17-triggered high HIF-1αexpression and consequent IL-1βand IL-6 production by astrocytes in EAE mice.Kai Shan Rongrong Pang Chenhui Zhao Xiaomei Liu Wenxing Gao Jing Zhang Dan Zhao Yingwei Wang Wen Qiu 2017Cellular & Molecular Immunology2017,14,11:5
5Acrolein Aggravates Secondary Brain Injury After Intracerebral Hemorrhage Through Drp1-Mediated Mitochondrial Oxidative Damage in Mice显示文摘Clinical advances in the treatment of intracranial hemorrhage(ICH)are restricted by the incomplete understanding of the molecular mechanisms contributing to secondary brain injury.Acrolein is a highly active unsaturated aldehyde which has been implicated in many nervous system diseases.Our results indicated a significant increase in the level of acrolein after ICH in mouse brain.In primary neurons,acrolein induced an increase in mitochondrial fragmentation,loss of mitochondrial membrane potential,generation of reactive oxidative species,and release of mitochondrial cytochrome c.Mechanistically,acrolein facilitated the translocation of dynaminrelated protein 1(Drpl)from the cytoplasm onto the mitochondrial membrane and led to excessive mitochondrial fission.Further studies found that treatment with hydralazine(an acrolein scavenger)significantly reversed Drpl translocation and the morphological damage of mitochondria after ICH.In parallel,the neural apoptosis,brain edema,and neurological functional deficits induced by ICH were also remarkably alleviated.In conclusion,our results identify acrolein as an important contributor to the secondary brain injury following ICH.Meanwhile,we uncovered a novel mechanism by which Drpl-mediated mitochondrial oxidative damage is involved in acroleininduced brain injury.Xun Wu Wenxing Cui Wei Guo Haixiao Liu Jianing Luo Lei Zhao Hao Guo Longlong Zheng Hao Bai Dayun Feng Yan Qu 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,10:3
6Challenges and strategies in high-accuracy manufacturing of the world’s largest SiC aspheric mirror显示文摘In the process of manufacturing the world’s largest silicon carbide(SiC)aspheric mirror,the primary difficulties are mirror blank preparation,asphere fabrication,and testing,as well as cladding and coating.Specifically,the challenges include the homogeneity of the complicated structure casting,accuracy and efficiency of the fabrication process,print-through effect,fidelity and precision of test procedure,stress and denseness of cladding process,the dynamic range of interferometric measurement,and air turbulence error due to the long optical path.To break through such a barrier of difficulties,we proposed the water-soluble room temperature vanishing mold and gel casting technology,homogeneous microstructure reaction-formed joint technology,nano-accuracy efficient compound fabrication,gravity unloading technology,high-denseness low-defect physical vapor deposition(PVD)Si-cladding technology,test data fusion method,and time-domain averaging method,etc.Based on the proposed technologies and methods,we have accomplished the world’s largest SiC aspheric mirror with a size of φ4.03 m.The impressive performance of the SiC aspheric mirror is validated by the characteristics of the fabricated SiC aspheric mirror.The aerial density of the SiC blank is less than 120 kg/m^(2),surface shape test accuracy is better than 6 nm RMS,thickness inhomogeneity of the cladding layer is less than 5%,and the final surface figure error and roughness are 15.2 nm RMS and 0.8 nm RMS,respectively.Xuejun Zhang Haixiang Hu Xiaokun Wang Xiao Luo Ge Zhang Wenxing Zhao Xiaoyi Wang Zhenyu Liu Ling Xiong Erhui Qi Congcong Cui Yanchao Wang Yingjie Li Xu Wang Longxiang Li Yang Bai Qiang Cheng Zhiyu Zhang Ruigang Li Wa Tang Xuefeng Zeng Weijie Deng Feng Zhang 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,12:3
7Emerging Organic Contaminants in Chinese Surface Water:Identification of Priority Pollutants显示文摘The occurrence and impacts of emerging organic contaminants(EOCs)in the aquatic environment have gained widespread attention over the past two decades.Due to large number of potential contaminants,monitoring campaigns,treatment plants,and proposed regulations should preferentially focus on specific pollutants with the highest potential for ecological and human health effects.In the present study,a multi-criteria screening approach based on hazard and exposure potentials was developed for prioritization of 405 unregulated EOCs already present in Chinese surface water.Hazard potential,exposure potential,and risk quotients for ecological and human health effects were quantitatively analyzed and used to screen contaminants.The hazard potential was defined by contaminant persistence,bioaccumulation,ecotoxicity,and human health effects;similarly,the exposure potential was a function of contaminant concentration and detection frequency.In total,123 compounds passed the preselection process,which involved a priority index equal to the normalized hazard potential multiplied by the normalized exposure potential.Based on the prioritization scheme,11 compounds were identified as top-priority,and 37 chemicals were defined as high-priority.The results obtained by the priority index were compared with four other prioritization schemes based on exposure potential,hazard potential,or risk quotients for ecological effects or human health.The priority index effectively captured and integrated the results from the more simplistic prioritization schemes.Based on identified data gaps,four uncertainty categories were classified to recommend:①regular monitoring,derivation of environmental quality standards,and development of control strategies;②increased monitoring;③fortified hazard assessment;and④increased efforts to collect occurrence and toxicity data.Overall,20 pollutants were recommended as priority EOCs.The prioritized list of contaminants provides the necessary information for authoritative regulations to monitor,control,evaluate,and manage the risks of environmentally-relevant EOCs in Chinese surface water.Mengmeng Zhong Tielong Wang Wenxing Zhao Jun Huang Bin Wang Lee Blaney Qingwei Bu Gang Yu 2022Engineering2022,8,4:3

10Constructing the separation pathway for photo-generated carriers by diatomic sites decorated on MIL-53-NH2(Al)for enhanced photocatalytic performance显示文摘High yield production of phenol from hydroxylation of benzene with low energy consumption is of paramount importance,but still challenging.Herein,a new strategy,consisting of using diatomic synergistic modulation(DSM)to effectively control the separation of photo-generated carriers for an enhanced production of phenol is reported.The atomic level dispersion of Fe and Cr respectively decorated on Al based MIL-53-NH_(2)photocatalyst(Fe1/Cr:MIL-53-NH_(2))is designed,in which Cr single atoms are substituted for Al3+while Fe single atoms are coordinated by N.Notably,the Fe1/Cr:MIL-53-NH_(2)significantly boosts the photooxidation of benzene to phenol under visible light irradiation,which is much higher than those of MIL-53-NH_(2),Cr:MIL-53-NH_(2),Fe1/MIL-53-NH_(2),and Fe nanoparticles/Cr:MIL-53-NH_(2)catalysts.Theoretical and experimental results reveal that the Cr single atoms and Fe single atoms can act as electron acceptor and electron donor,respectively,during photocatalytic reaction,exhibiting a synergistic effect on the separation of the photo-generated carriers and thereby causing great enhancement on the benzene oxidation.This strategy provides new insights for rational design of advanced photocatalysts at the atomic level.Gang Wang Yan Liu Ning Zhao Huimei Chen Wenjie Wu Yueyue Li Xiangwen Liu Ang Li Wenxing Chen Junjie Mao 2022Nano Research2022,15,8:1

12Magnetic properties and magnetic entropy change of perovskite manganites La_(0.9-x)Eu_xSr_(0.1)MnO_3(x=0.000,0.075) by experimental method and numerical fitting显示文摘Polycrystalline samples La_(0.9-x)EuxSr_(0.1)MnO_3(x = 0.000, 0.075) were prepared by the standard solid-state reaction method. The results show that the samples preform a characteristic of clusters spin-glass state at low temperature. The samples show a characteristic of ferromagnetism(FM) characteristic in the temperature range of 15-125 K and 15-150 K respectively; the samples show preformed clusters in the temperature range of 125-343 K and 150-325 K, respectively, the samples show paramagnetism(PM)characteristic above 343 and 325 K, respectively. The second-order transitions are found at 118 and 135 K for undoped and doped sample, respectively. When the applied magnetic field is 7 T, the maximum magnetic entropy change |△S_M| value of the samples is near the Curie temperature(Tc), and the value of|△S_M| reaches 2.76 and 3.03 J/(K kg), respectively. In addition, the relative cooling power(RCP) is found to be 425.28 and 443.53 J/kg. The numerical fitting data fit well with experimental data. 13Superoxide-like Cu/GO single-atom catalysts nanozyme with high specificity and activity for removing superoxide free radicals显示文摘Although nanozyme has become an emerging area of research attracting extensive attention recently,the activity and specificity of currently reported nanozymes are generally lower than those of natural enzymes.Developing highly active and specific nanozymes is therefore extremely necessary and also remains a great challenge.Superoxide dismutase(SOD)catalyzes the disproportionation of cytotoxic O_(2)·^(−)into hydrogen peroxide and oxygen,and plays an important role in reducing human oxidative stress.In this work,we prepare Cu single-atom catalysts(Cu/GO SACs,GO=graphene oxide)through a simple and low-cost strategy at room temperature using Cu foam and graphene oxide.Cu/GO SACs can maintain excellent catalytic activity under harsh environment.Compared with the natural enzyme,SOD-like Cu/GO SAC nanozyme has higher catalytic activity and meanwhile,it does not possess the common properties of other mimic enzymes often existing in nanomaterials.Based on the excellent SOD-like enzyme activity of Cu/GO SACs,it successfully eliminates the active oxygen in cigarette smoke.This work not only provides a new idea for the design and synthesis of nanozymes with excellent SOD mimetic properties,but also is promising in the treatment of lung injury and inflammatory diseases related to free radical production.Mingju Lu Jialu Wang Guoyuan Ren Fengjuan Qin Zhiqiang Zhao Kai Li Wenxing Chen Yuqing Lin 2022Nano Research2022,15,10:1
14Structure,magnetism and magnetic thermal properties of heavy rare earth Tb1-xTmxFeO3(x=0.00,0.15,0.25) polycrystalline samples显示文摘Tb1-xTmxFeO3(x = 0.00,0.15,0.25) polycrystalline series were synthesized using a solid-state reaction.Our results show that all three prepared samples are in a distorted orthogonal structure and their space group is pbnm.When the Tm3+doping amount increases,the characteristics of the spin-flip of the sample decreases following an initial increase at the beginning;the antiferromagnetic property almost reaches zero;the magnetization decreases at the beginning but increases later on.The maximum magnetic entropy change and magnetic refrigeration effect RCP are reduced at varying degrees.Under a 7 T magnetic field,the maximum magnetic entropy change,△Smax,for the three samples of Tb1-xTmxFeO3 with x=0.00,0.15,0.25 is 13.78,-9.28,and 10.69 J/(K·kg),respectively;the magnetic refrigeration capacity(RCP) is 316.85,175.2,and 297.60 J/kg,respectively.In summary,doping with the element Tm reduces △Smax and RCP of the sample.Since the maximum magnetic entropy change and the cooling capacity for the three samples are relatively large,they can be used as an alternative for magnetic refrigerants.Xiang Jin Jianjun Zhao Hongwei Chen Fengze Cao Li Cheng Taichao Su Wenxing Wang Jia Liu Yi Lu 2020Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,6:1

16A highly accessible copper single-atom catalyst for wound antibacterial application显示文摘Bacterial infection arised from multipathogenic bacteria is a tricky issue that attracts worldwide attentions.In this paper,a highly accessible copper single-atom catalyst(Cu SAC)supported by biocompatible N-doped mesoporous carbon nanospheres was synthesized with the emulsion-template method.The tightly anchored copper single-atom of the catalyst could effectively transform O_(2) into O_(2)−•under ambient conditions by the ultra-large pore size(~23.80 nm)and small particle size(~97.71 nm).Due to multiple synergistically oxidative damages to biomolecules,the Cu SAC could be employed to eliminate different bacteria in vitro without the generation of multidrug resistance(MDR).Moreover,the Cu SAC could also promote wound healing in vivo by eradicating the propagation of bacteria at wound.It is envisioned that the Cu SAC with superior antibacterial performance could be applied in the treatment of related bacterial infection in future.Yue Zhao Yunpeng Yu Feng Gao Zhiyuan Wang Wenxing Chen Cai Chen Jia Yang Yancai Yao Junyi Du Chao Zhao Yuen Wu 2021Nano Research2021,14,12:1

19Interfacial engineering of 3D hollow CoSe_(2)@ultrathin MoSe_(2)core@shell heterostructure for efficient pH-universal hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘Rational design and construction of low-cost and highly efficient electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is meaningful but challenging.Herein,a robust three dimensional(3D)hollow CoSe_(2)@ultrathin MoSe_(2)core@shell heterostructure(CoSe_(2)@MoSe_(2))is proposed as an efficient HER electrocatalyst through interfacial engineering.Benefitting from the abundant heterogeneous interfaces on CoSe_(2)@MoSe_(2),the exposed edge active sites are maximized and the charge transfer at the hetero-interfaces is accelerated,thus facilitating the HER kinetics.It exhibits remarkable performance in pH-universal conditions.Notably,it only needs an overpotential(η10)of 108 mV to reach a current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2)in 1.0 M KOH,outperforming most of the reported transition metal selenides electrocatalysts.Density functional theory(DFT)calculations unveil that the heterointerfaces synergistically optimize the Gibbs free energies of H2O and H^(*)during alkaline HER,accelerating the reaction kinetics.The present work may provide new construction guidance for rational design of high-efficient electrocatalysts.Lili Zhang Yuanting Lei Danni Zhou Chengli Xiong Zhuoli Jiang Xinyuan Li Huishan Shang Yafei Zhao Wenxing Chen Bing Zhang 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:1
