Clinical and biochemical indexes from 2019-nCoV infected patients linked to viral loads and lung injury显示文摘The outbreak of the 2019-nCoV infection began in December 2019 in Wuhan,Hubei province, and rapidly spread to many provinces in China as well as other countries. Here we report the epidemiological, clinical, laboratory, and radiological characteristics,as well as potential biomarkers for predicting disease severity in 2019-nCoV-infected patients in Shenzhen,China. All 12 cases of the 2019-nCoV-infected patients developed pneumonia and half of them developed acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).The most common laboratory abnormalities were hypoalbuminemia, lymphopenia, decreased percentage of lymphocytes (LYM) and neutrophils (NEU),elevated C-reactive protein (CRP) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH),and decreased CD8 count. The viral load of 2019-nCoV detected from patient respiratory tracts was positively linked to lung disease severity.ALB,LYM,LYM (%),LDH,NEU (%),and CRP were highly correlated to the acute lung injury.Age,viral load, lung injury score, and blood biochemistry indexes, albumin (ALB),CRP,LDH,LYM (%),LYM,and NEU (%),may be predictors of disease severity. Moreover, the Angiotensin Ⅱlevel in the plasma sample from 2019-nCoV infected patients was markedly elevated and linearly associated to viral load and lung injury. Our results suggest a number of potential diagnosis biomarkers and angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) drugs for potential repurposing treatment of 2019-nCoV infection.Yingxia Liu Yang Yang Cong Zhang Fengming Huang Fuxiang Wang Jing Yuan Zhaoqin Wang Jinxiu Li Jianming Li Cheng Feng Zheng Zhang Lifei Wang Ling Peng Li Chen Yuhao Qin Dandan Zhao Shuguang Tan Lu Yin Jun Xu Congzhao Zhou Chengyu Jiang Lei Liu 2020Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,3:157
Future Physics Programme of BESⅢ显示文摘There has recently been a dramatic renewal of interest in hadron spectroscopy and charm physics. This renaissance has been driven in part by the discovery of a plethora of charmonium-like XYZ states at BESⅢ and B factories, and the observation of an intriguing proton-antiproton threshold enhancement and the possibly related X(1835) meson state at BESⅢ, as well as the threshold measurements of charm mesons and charm baryons. We present a detailed survey of the important topics in tau-charm physics and hadron physics that can be further explored at BESⅢ during the remaining operation period of BEPCⅡ. This survey will help in the optimization of the data-taking plan over the coming years, and provides physics motivation for the possible upgrade of BEPCⅡ to higher luminosity.M.Ablikim M.N.Achasov P.Adlarson S.Ahmed M.Albrecht M.Alekseev A.Amoroso F.F.An Q.An Y.Bai O.Bakina R.Baldini Ferroli Y.Ban K.Begzsuren J.V.Bennett N.Berger M.Bertani D.Bettoni F.Bianchi J Biernat J.Bloms I.Boyko R.A.Briere L.Calibbi H.Cai X.Cai A.Calcaterra G.F.Cao N.Cao S.A.Cetin J.Chai J.F.Chang W.L.Chang J.Charles G.Chelkov Chen G.Chen H.S.Chen J.C.Chen M.L.Chen S.J.Chen Y.B.Chen H.Y.Cheng W.Cheng G.Cibinetto F.Cossio X.F.Cui H.L.Dai J.P.Dai X.C.Dai A.Dbeyssi D.Dedovich Z.Y.Deng A.Denig Denysenko M.Destefanis S.Descotes-Genon F.De Mori Y.Ding C.Dong J.Dong L.Y.Dong M.Y.Dong Z.L.Dou S.X.Du S.I.Eidelman J.Z.Fan J.Fang S.S.Fang Y.Fang R.Farinelli L.Fava F.Feldbauer G.Felici C.Q.Feng M.Fritsch C.D.Fu Y.Fu Q.Gao X.L.Gao Y.Gao Y.Gao Y.G.Gao Z.Gao B.Garillon I.Garzia E.M.Gersabeck A.Gilman K.Goetzen L.Gong W.X.Gong W.Gradl M.Greco L.M.Gu M.H.Gu Y.T.Gu A.Q.Guo F.K.Guo L.B.Guo R.P.Guo Y.P.Guo A.Guskov S.Han X.Q.Hao F.A.Harris K.L.He F.H.Heinsius T.Held Y.K.Heng Y.R.Hou Z.L.Hou H.M.Hu J.F.Hu T.Hu Y.Hu G.S.Huang J.S.Huang X.T.Huang X.Z.Huang Z.L.Huang N.Huesken T.Hussain W.Ikegami Andersson W.Imoehl M.Irshad Q.Ji Q.P.Ji X.B.Ji X.L.Ji H.L.Jiang X.S.Jiang X.Y.Jiang J.B.Jiao Z.Jiao D.P.Jin S.Jin Y.Jin T.Johansson N.Kalantar-Nayestanaki X.S.Kang R.Kappert M.Kavatsyuk B.C.Ke I.K.Keshk T.Khan A.Khoukaz P.Kiese R.Kiuchi R.Kliemt L.Koch O.B.Kolcu B.Kopf M.Kuemmel M.Kuessner A.Kupsc M.Kurth M.G.Kurth W.Kuhn J.S.Lange P.Larin L.Lavezzi H.Leithoff T.Lenz C.Li Cheng Li D.M.Li F.Li F.Y.Li G.Li H.B.Li H.J.Li J.C.Li J.W.Li Ke Li L.K.Li Lei Li P.L.Li P.R.Li Q.Y.Li W.D.Li W.G.Li X.H.Li X.L.Li X.N.Li X.Q.Li Z.B.Li H.Liang H.Liang Y.F.Liang Y.T.Liang G.R.Liao L.Z.Liao J.Libby C.X.Lin D.X.Lin Y.J.Lin B.Liu B.J.Liu C.X.Liu D.Liu D.Y.Liu F.H.Liu Fang Liu Feng Liu H.B.Liu H.M.Liu Huanhuan Liu Huihui Liu J.B.Liu J.Y.Liu K.Y.Liu Ke Liu Q.Liu S.B.Liu T.Liu X.Liu X.Y.Liu Y.B.Liu Z.A.Liu Zhiqing Liu Y.F.Long X.C.Lou H.J.Lu J.D.Lu J.G.Lu Y.Lu Y.P.Lu C.L.Luo M.X.Luo P.W.Luo T.Luo X.L.Luo S.Lusso X.R.Lyu F.C.Ma H.L.Ma L.L.Ma M.M.Ma Q.M.Ma X.N.Ma X.X.Ma X.Y.Ma Y.M.Ma F.E.Maas M.Maggiora S.Maldaner S.Malde Q.A.Malik A.Mangoni Y.J.Mao Z.P.Mao S.Marcello Z.X.Meng J.G.Messchendorp G.Mezzadri J.Min T.J.Min R.E.Mitchell X.H.Mo Y.J.Mo C.Morales Morales N.Yu.Muchnoi H.Muramatsu A.Mustafa S.Nakhoul Y.Nefedov F.Nerling I.B.Nikolaev Z.Ning S.Nisar S.L.Niu S.L.Olsen Q.Ouyang S.Pacetti Y.Pan M.Papenbrock P.Patteri M.Pelizaeus H.P.Peng K.Peters A.A.Petrov J.Pettersson J.L.Ping R.G.Ping A.Pitka R.Poling V.Prasad M.Qi T.Y.Qi S.Qian C.F.Qiao N.Qin X.P.Qin X.S.Qin Z.H.Qin J.F.Qiu S.Q.Qu K.H.Rashid C.F.Redmer M.Richter M.Ripka A.Rivetti V.Rodin M.Rolo G.Rong J.L.Rosner Ch.Rosner M.Rump A.Sarantsev M.Savrie K.Schoenning W.Shan X.Y.Shan M.Shao C.P.Shen P.X.Shen X.Y.Shen H.Y.Sheng X.Shi X.D Shi J.J.Song Q.Q.Song X.Y.Song S.Sosio C.Sowa S.Spataro F.F.Sui G.X.Sun J.F.Sun L.Sun S.S.Sun X.H.Sun Y.J.Sun Y.K Sun Y.Z.Sun Z.J.Sun Z.T.Sun Y.T Tan C.J.Tang G.Y.Tang X.Tang V.Thoren B.Tsednee I.Uman B.Wang B.L.Wang C.W.Wang D.Y.Wang H.H.Wang K.Wang L.L.Wang L.S.Wang M.Wang M.Z.Wang Wang Meng P.L.Wang R.M.Wang W.P.Wang X.Wang X.F.Wang X.L.Wang Y.Wang Y.F.Wang Z.Wang Z.G.Wang Z.Y.Wang Zongyuan Wang T.Weber D.H.Wei P.Weidenkaff H.W.Wen S.P.Wen U.Wiedner G.Wilkinson M.Wolke L.H.Wu L.J.Wu Z.Wu L.Xia Y.Xia S.Y.Xiao Y.J.Xiao Z.J.Xiao Y.G.Xie Y.H.Xie T.Y.Xing X.A.Xiong Q.L.Xiu G.F.Xu L.Xu Q.J.Xu W.Xu X.P.Xu F.Yan L.Yan W.B.Yan W.C.Yan Y.H.Yan H.J.Yang H.X.Yang L.Yang R.X.Yang S.L.Yang Y.H.Yang Y.X.Yang Yifan Yang Z.Q.Yang M.Ye M.H.Ye J.H.Yin Z.Y.You B.X.Yu C.X.Yu J.S.Yu C.Z.Yuan X.Q.Yuan Y.Yuan A.Yuncu A.A.Zafar Y.Zeng B.X.Zhang B.Y.Zhang C.C.Zhang D.H.Zhang H.H.Zhang H.Y.Zhang J.Zhang J.L.Zhang J.Q.Zhang J.W.Zhang J.Y.Zhang J.Z.Zhang K.Zhang L.Zhang S.F.Zhang T.J.Zhang X.Y.Zhang Y.Zhang Y.H.Zhang Y.T.Zhang Yang Zhang Yao Zhang Yi Zhang Yu Zhang Z.H.Zhang Z.P.Zhang Z.Q.Zhang Z.Y.Zhang G.Zhao J.W.Zhao J.Y.Zhao J.Z.Zhao Lei Zhao Ling Zhao M.G.Zhao Q.Zhao S.J.Zhao T.C.Zhao Y.B.Zhao Z.G.Zhao A.Zhemchugov B.Zheng J.P.Zheng Y.Zheng Y.H.Zheng B.Zhong L.Zhou L.P.Zhou Q.Zhou X.Zhou X.K.Zhou Xingyu Zhou Xiaoyu Zhou Xu Zhou A.N.Zhu J.Zhu J.Zhu K.Zhu K.J.Zhu S.H.Zhu W.J.Zhu X.L.Zhu Y.C.Zhu Y.S.Zhu Z.A.Zhu J.Zhuang B.S.Zou J.H.Zou 2020Chinese Physics C2020,44,4:517

LncRNA-mediated posttranslational modifications and reprogramming of energy metabolism in cancer显示文摘Altered metabolism is a hallmark of cancer, and the reprogramming of energy metabolism has historically been considered a general phenomenon of tumors. It is well recognized that long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)regulate energy metabolism in cancer.However,lncRNA-mediated posttranslational modifications and metabolic reprogramming are unclear at present. In this review,we summarized the current understanding of the interactions between the alterations in cancer-associated energy metabolism and the lncRNA-mediated posttranslational modifications of metabolic enzymes, transcription factors, and other proteins involved in metabolic pathways. In addition,we discuss the mechanisms through which these interactions contribute to tumor initiation and progression, and the key roles and clinical significance of functional lncRNAs.We believe that an in-depth understanding of lncRNA-mediated cancer metabolic reprogramming can help to identify cellular vulnerabilities that can be exploited for cancer diagnosis and therapy.Yue-Tao Tan Jin-Fei Lin Ting Li Jia-Jun Li Rui-Hua Xu Huai-Qiang Ju 2021Cancer Communications2021,41,2:92
A Novel Coronavirus Genome Identified in a Cluster of Pneumonia Cases--Wuhan,China 2019−2020显示文摘Emerging and re-emerging pathogens are great challenges to the public health(1).A cluster of pneumonia cases with an unknown cause occurred in Wuhan starting on December 21,2019.As of January 20,2020,a total of 201 cases of pneumonia in China have been confirmed.A team of professionals from the National Health Commission and China CDC conducted epidemiological and etiological investigations. On January 3,2020,the first complete genome of the novelβgenus coronaviruses(2019-nCoVs)was identified in samples of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF)from a patient from Wuhan by scientists of the National Institute of Viral Disease Control and Prevention(IVDC)through a combination of Sanger sequencing,Illumina sequencing, and nanopore sequencing.Three distinct strains have been identified, the virus has been designated as 2019-nCoV,and the disease has been subsequently named novel coronavirus-infected pneumonia(NCIP).Wenjie Tan Xiang Zhao Xuejun Ma Wenling Wang Peihua Niu Wenbo Xu George F.Gao Guizhen Wu 2020China CDC weekly2020,2,4:95
A complete sequence and comparative analysis of a SARS-associated virus(Isolate BJ01)显示文摘The genome sequence of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)-associated virus provides essential information for the identification of pathogen(s), exploration of etiology and evolution, interpretation of transmission and pathogenesis, development of diagnostics, prevention by future vaccination, and treatment by developing new drugs. We report the complete genome sequence and comparative analysis of an isolate (BJ01) of the coronavirus that has been recognized as a pathogen for SARS. The genome is 29725 nt in size and has 11 ORFs (Open Reading Frames). It is composed of a stable region encoding an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (composed of 2 ORFs) and a variable region representing 4 CDSs (coding sequences) for viral structural genes (the S, E, M, N proteins) and 5 PUPs (putative uncharacterized proteins). Its gene order is identical to that of other known coronaviruses. The sequence alignment with all known RNA viruses places this virus as a member in the family of Coronaviridae. Thirty putative substitutions have been identified by comparative analysis of the 5 SARS- associated virus genome sequences in GenBank. Fifteen of them lead to possible amino acid changes (non-synonymous mutations) in the proteins. Three amino acid changes, with predicted alteration of physical and chemical features, have been detected in the S protein that is postulated to beinvolved in the immunoreactions between the virus and its host. Two amino acid changes have been detected in the Mprotein, which could be related to viral envelope formation. Phylogenetic analysis suggests the possibility of non-human origin of the SARS-associated viruses but provides noevidence that they are man-made. Further efforts should focus on identifying the etiology of the SARS-associated virus and ruling out conclusively the existence of otherpossible SARS-related pathogen(s).QIN E'de ZHU Qingyu YU Man FAN Baochang CHANG Guohui SI Bingyin YANG Bao PENG Wenming JIANG Tao LIU Bohua DENG Yongqiang LIU Hong ZHANG Yu WANG Cui LI Yuquan GAN Yonghua LI Xiaoyu L Fushuang TAN Gang CAO Wuchun, YANG Ruifu Institute of Microbiology and Epidemiology, Chinese Academy of Military Medical Sciences, Beijing 100071, China WANG Jian, LI Wei, XU Zuyuan, LI Yan, WU Qingfa, LIN Wei, CHEN Weijun, TANG Lin, DENG Yajun, HAN Yujun, LI Changfeng, LEI Meng, LI Guoqing, LI Wenjie, L Hong, SHI Jianping, TONG Zongzhong, ZHANG Feng, LI Songgang, LIU Bin, LIU Siqi, DONG Wei, WANG Jun, Gane K-S Wong, YU Jun & YANG Huanming* Beijing Genomics Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 101300 National Center for Genome Information, Beijing 101300, China 2003Chinese Science Bulletin2003,48,10:121
Changes in the level of serum liver enzymes after laparoscopic surgery显示文摘AIM: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectof laparoscopic surgery on liver function in humans and thepossible mechanisms behind such effect.METHODS: Blood samples from 286 patients whounderwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) and 40patients who underwent open cholecystectomy (OC) weretested for liver function by measuring the level of serumalanine aminotrasferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotrasferase(AST) before and after the operations. The same tests werealso applied to 18 laparoscopic colorectal cancer resection(LCR) patients and 23 open colorectal cancer resection (OCR)patients to determine whether CO2 pneumoperitoneum couldalter the serum liver enzymes.RESULTS: The level of serum ALT and AST increasedsignificantly during the first 48 hours post operations in bothLC and LCR patients. However, no significant change of theserum liver enzymes was detected in both OC and OCRpatients. As a result, there was statistically significantdifference in change of both ALT and AST levels betweenLC and OC patients and LCR and OCR patients, respectively.By the 7th day post operation, the level of both enzymesreturned to normal values in LC, OC and OCR patients exceptLCR patients whose enzymes remained at a higher level.CONCLUSION: Transient elevation of hepatic transaminasesoccurred after laparoscopic surgery. The major causativefactor seemed to be the CO2 pneumoperitoneum. In mostof the laparoscopic surgery patients, the transient elevationof serum liver enzymes showed no apparent clinicalimplications. However, if preoperative liver function was verypoor, laparoscopic surgery may not be the best choice forthe treatment of patients with certain abdominal diseases.Min Tan Feng-Feng Xu Jun-Shen Peng Dong-Ming Li Liu-Hua Chen Bao-Jun Lv Zhen-Xian Zhao Chen Huang Chao-Xu Zheng Department of General Surgery, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhong Shah University, 58 Zhongshan 2 Road Guangzhou 510080, Guangdong Province China 2003World Journal of Gastroenterology2003,9,2:42

DC faults ride-through capability analysis of Full-Bridge MMC-MTDC System显示文摘Full-Bridge Modular Multilevel Converter(FBMMC) has strong ability to ride through serious DC faults, thus it is very suitable for multi-terminal flexible HVDC applications. However,no references have reported the locating and isolating of DC faults and corresponding DC faults ride-through capability evaluation index. This paper introduces the topology mechanism of FBMMC and its loss reduction operation mode, theoretically certifies that the universal decoupled control strategy of Voltage Source Converter(VSC) and the similar modulation strategies of Half-Bridge MMC(HBMMC) can be applied to FBMMC for constructing complete closed-loop control system. On the basis of the existing DC faults locating and isolating schemes of 2-level VSC based Multi-Terminal HVDC(VSC-MTDC) system and the particularity of FBMMC,this paper proposes the DC faults wire selection 'handshaking' method of the FBMMC-MTDC system, and proposes the DC Fault Ride-Through Capability Index(DFRTI) for evaluating the DC faults suppressing capability of the VSC-MTDC systems, including FBMMC-MTDC.Simulations of FBMMC-MTDC in PSCAD/EMTDC validate the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed control strategy and evaluation index.ZHAO ChengYong XU JianZhong LI Tan 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,1:36
Lushan M_S7.0 earthquake:A blind reserve-fault event显示文摘In the epicenter of the Lushan MS7.0 earthquake there are several imbricate active reverse faults lying from northwest to southeast, namely the Gengda-Longdong,Yanjing-Wulong,Shuangshi-Dachuan and Dayi faults.Emergency field investigations have indicated that no apparent earthquake surface rupture zones were located along these active faults or their adjacent areas.Only brittle compressive ruptures in the cement-covered pavements can be seen in Shuangshi,Taiping,Longxing and Longmen Townships, and these ruptures show that a local crustal shortening occurred in the region during the earthquake.Combining spatial distribution of the relocated aftershocks and focal mechanism solutions,it is inferred that the Lushan earthquake is classified as a typical blind reverse-fault earthquake, and it is advised that the relevant departments should pay great attention to other historically un-ruptured segments along the Longmenshan thrust belt and throughout its adjacent areas.XU XiWei WEN XueZe HAN ZhuJun CHEN GuiHua LI ChuanYou ZHENG WenJun ZHNAG ShiMin REN ZhiQun XU Chong TAN XiBin WEI ZhanYu WANG MingMing REN JunJie HE ZhongTai LIANG MingJian 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,28:35
Androgen receptor: structure, role in prostate cancer and drug discovery显示文摘Androgens and androgen receptors (AR) play a pivotal role in expression of the male phenotype. Several diseases, such as androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS) and prostate cancer, are associated with alterations in AR functions. Indeed, androgen blockade by drugs that prevent the production of androgens and/or block the action of the AR inhibits prostate cancer growth. However, resistance to these drugs often occurs after 2-3 years as the patients develop castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC). In CRPC, a functional AR remains a key regulator. Early studies focused on the functional domains of the AR and its crucial role in the pathology. The elucidation of the structures of the AR DNA binding domain (DBD) and ligand binding domain (LBD) provides a new framework for understanding the functions of this receptor and leads to the development of rational drug design for the treatment of prostate cancer. An overview of androgen receptor structure and activity, its actions in prostate cancer, and how structural information and high-throughput screening have been or can be used for drug discovery are provided herein.MH Eileen TAN Jun LI H Eric XU Karsten MELCHER Eu-leong YONG 2015Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2015,36,1:39

Modulatory effects of acupuncture on brain networks in mild cognitive impairment patients显示文摘Functional magnetic resonance imaging has been widely used to investigate the effects of acupuncture on neural activity. However, most functional magnetic resonance imaging studies have focused on acute changes in brain activation induced by acupuncture. Thus, the time course of the therapeutic effects of acupuncture remains unclear. In this study, 32 patients with amnestic mild cognitive impairment were randomly divided into two groups, where they received either Tiaoshen Yizhi acupuncture or sham acupoint acupuncture. The needles were either twirled at Tiaoshen Yizhi acupoints, including Sishencong(EX-HN1), Yintang(EX-HN3), Neiguan(PC6), Taixi(KI3), Fenglong(ST40), and Taichong(LR3), or at related sham acupoints at a depth of approximately 15 mm, an angle of ± 60°, and a rate of approximately 120 times per minute. Acupuncture was conducted for 4 consecutive weeks, five times per week, on weekdays. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging indicated that connections between cognition-related regions such as the insula, dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, hippocampus, thalamus, inferior parietal lobule, and anterior cingulate cortex increased after acupuncture at Tiaoshen Yizhi acupoints. The insula, dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, and hippocampus acted as central brain hubs. Patients in the Tiaoshen Yizhi group exhibited improved cognitive performance after acupuncture. In the sham acupoint acupuncture group, connections between brain regions were dispersed, and we found no differences in cognitive function following the treatment. These results indicate that acupuncture at Tiaoshen Yizhi acupoints can regulate brain networks by increasing connectivity between cognition-related regions, thereby improving cognitive function in patients with mild cognitive impairment.Ting-ting Tan Dan Wang Ju-ke Huang Xiao-mei Zhou Xu Yuan Jiu-ping Liang Liang Yin Hong-liang Xie Xin-yan Jia Jiao Shi Fang Wang Hao-bo Yang Shang-jie Chen 2017Neural Regeneration Research2017,12,2:32
Spatial Prediction of Heavy Metal Pollution for Soils in Peri-Urban Beijing, China Based on Fuzzy Set Theory显示文摘Fuzzy classification combined with spatial prediction was used to assess the state of soil pollution in the peri-urban Beijing area. Total concentrations of As, Cr, Cd, Hg, and Pb were determined in 220 topsoil samples (0-20 cm) collected using a grid design in a study area of 2600 km2. Heavy metal concentrations were grouped into three classes according to the optimum number of classes and fuzziness exponent using the fuzzy c-mean (FCM) algorithm. Membership values were interpolated using ordinary kriging. The polluted soils of the study area induced by the measured heavy metals were concentrated in the northwest corner and eastern part, especially the southeastern part close to the urban zone, whereas the soils free of pollution were mainly distributed in the southwestern part. The soils with potential risk of heavy metal pollution were located in isolated spots mainly in the northern part and southeastern corner of the study region. The FCM algorithm combined with geostatistical techniques, as compared to conventional single geostatistical kriging methods, could produce a prediction with a quantitative uncertainty evaluation and higher reliability. Successful prediction of soil pollution achieved with FCM algorithm in this study indicated that fuzzy set theory had great potential for use in other areas of soil science.TAN Man-Zhi XU Fang-Ming CHEN Jie ZHANG Xue-Lei CHEN Jing-Zhong 2006Pedosphere2006,16,5:28
Efficacy and safety of Xinfeng capsule in patients with rheumatoid arthritis:a multi-center parallel-group double-blind randomized controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Xinfeng capsule in patients suffering rheumatoid arthritis(RA).METHODS:A multi-center parallel-group designed,double-blind,randomized,controlled trial was conducted.Totally 304 RA patients were assigned to two groups:one group was administered Xinfeng capsule(XFC) plus the placebo of leflunomide and the other given leflunomide(LEF) plus the placebo of XFC for twelve weeks. The clinical and laboratory parameters were compared at baseline and fourth, eighth, and twelfth weeks.RESULTS:After twelve-week treatment, patients in two groups all showed some trend of effectiveness when compared in terms of American Rheumatism Association(ACR) recommended 20%,50%,70%improvement criteria, but it was insignificant. The validity in ameliorate modified disease activity score(DAS28) and laboratory indexes as erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),C-reactive protein(CRP),rheumatoid factor(RF) were also found no difference. The score of health assessment questionnaire(HAQ),self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS) and quality of life questionnaire with rheumatoid arthritis(RAQOL)both lower than the first week and the changes showed no difference. However, the score of SDS dropped more in XFC group than in the other.A total of 147 adverse reaction cases were reported, which shows no difference between the two groups. The most common adverse reactions were hepatic impairment, anemia, leukocytopenia, epigastric discomfort and phalacrosis.CONCLUSION:XFC demonstrated better improvement in the scores of SDS and compared with those of LEF group.Liu Jian Wang Yuan Huang Chuanbing Xu Jianhua Li Zhijun Xu Liang He Liyun Sun Yue Wang Yali Xu Shengqian Zhao Ping Mao Tongjun Tan Bin Zhu Fubing Zhang Pingheng Fang Li 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,5:27

Applications of electronic nose (e-nose) and electronic tongue (e-tongue) in food quality-related properties determination: A review显示文摘Background:An e-nose or an e-tongue is a group of gas sensors or chemical sensors that simulate human nose or human tongue. Both e-nose and e-tongue have showngreat promise and utility in improving assessments of food quality characteristics compared with traditional detection methods.Scope and approach:This review summarizes the application of e-nose and e-tongue in determining the quality-related properties of foods. The working principles, applications, and limitations of the sensors employed by electronic noses and electronic tongueswere introduced and compared.Widelyemployed pattern recognition algorithms, including artificial neural network(ANN),convolutional neural network(CNN),principal component analysis(PCA),partial least square regression(PLS),and support vector machine(SVM),were introduced and compared in this review.Key findings and conclusions:Overall,e-nose or e-tongue combining pattern recognition algorithms are very powerful analytical tools, which are relatively low-cost,rapid,and accurate.E-nose and e-tongue are also suitable for both in-line and off-line measurements, which are very useful in monitoring food processing and detecting the end product quality. The user of e-nose and e-tongue need to strictly control sample preparation, sampling, and data processing.Juzhong Tan Jie Xu 2020Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture2020,,1:26
Surveillance, epidemiology, and pathogen spectrum of hand, foot, and mouth disease in mainland of China from 2008 to 2017显示文摘Hand,foot and mouth disease(HFMD)was reported in May 2,2008 to be the 38th legally notifiable disease in China's National Notifiable Disease Reporting and Surveillance System. In order to solve the infection,an extensive three-level HFMD surveillance laboratory network was established. In this study, the framework of that network is assessed and the incidence of HFMD in China from 2008 to 2017 is reported using a descriptive epidemiologic method.During these 10 years,a series of techniques have been widely applied in all the network laboratories.Using information and material obtained from the network,a virus bank and database containing 18,238 viruses were established.Nationally,18,184,834 HFMD cases, including 152,436 severe cases and 3633 fatal cases, were reported in mainland of China. The average annual incidence in the population was 133.99/100,000 people, with a maximum incidence of 205.06/100,000 people in 2014.The incidence and mortality rates of HFMD were the highest in children aged 1–2 years. The numbers of reported cases fluctuated, with a high incidence observed every 2 years. An overall increase in the number of reported cases was also observed throughout the study period.Despite this, the incidence of severe cases and the mortality rate have been decreasing.High-risk regions are located in southern, eastern, and central China. Two peaks of HFMD infection cases were observed annually except for Northeast China.Different proportions of enterovirus serotypes were observed during the studied years. The predominant enterovirus varies from year to year, but the disease severity is always closely related to the specific serotype.EV-A71 is the dominant serotype associated with severe and fatal cases, with constituent ratios of 70.03%and 92.23%,respectively.The studied highly sensitive and efficient surveillance network provides information that is critical for prevention and control of the disease. It is extremely necessary and important to continuously conduct extensive virological surveillance for HFMD.Tianjiao Ji Taoli Han Xiaojuan Tan Shuangli Zhu Dongmei Yan Qian Yang Yang Song Aili Cui Yan Zhang Naiying Mao Songtao Xu Zhen Zhu Dandan Niu Yong Zhang Wenbo Xu 2019Biosafety and Health2019,1,1:26
Effects of Water-table Depth and Soil Moisture on Plant Biomass, Diversity, and Distribution at a Seasonally Flooded Wetland of Poyang Lake, China显示文摘Hydrological regime has been widely recognized as one of the major forces determining vegetation distribution in seasonally flooded wetland. Poyang Lake, the largest freshwater lake in China, has been encountering dramatic changes in hydrological conditions in last decade, which greatly influenced the wetland vegetations. To explore the relationships between hydrology and vegetation distribution, water-table depth, soil moisture, species composition, diversity and biomass were measured at a seasonally flooded wetland section at Wucheng National Nature Reserve. Three plant communities, Artemisia capillaris, Phragmites australis and Carex cinerascens communities, were examined which are zonally distributed from upland to lakeshore with decreasing elevation. Canonical correspondence analysis(CCA), spearmen correlation and logistic regression were adopted to analyze the relationships between vegetation characteristics and hydrological variables of water-table depth and soil moisture. Results show that significant hydrological gradient exist along the wetland transect. Water-table demonstrates a seasonal variation and is consistently deepest in A. capillaris community(ranging from –0.5 m above ground to +10.3 m below ground), intermediate in P. australis community(–2.6 m to +7.8 m) and shallowest in C. cinerascens community(–4.5 m to +6.1 m). Soil moisture is lowest and most variable in A. capillaris community, highest and least variable in P. australis community, and intermediate and moderate variable in C. cinerascens community. The CCA ordination indicated that variables of water-table depth and soil moisture are strongly related to community distribution, which explained 81.7% of the vegetation variations. Species diversity indices are significantly positively correlated with soil moisture and negatively correlated with moisture variability, while above- and belowground biomass are positively correlated with moisture. Above- and belowground biomass present Gaussian models along the gradient of average water-table depth in growing season, while species diversity indices show bimodal patterns. The optimal average water-table depths for above- and belowground biomass are 0.8 m and 0.5 m, respectively, and are 2.2 m and 2.4 m for species richness and Shannon-Wiener indices, respectively. Outcomes of this work improved the understandings of the relationship between hydrology and vegetation.XU Xiuli ZHANG Qi TAN Zhiqiang LI Yunliang WANG Xiaolong 2015Chinese Geographical Science2015,25,6:24
