CFD simulation of particle suspension in a stirred tank显示文摘Particle suspension characteristics are predicted computationally in a stirred tank driven by a Smith turbine. In order to verify the hydrodynamic model and numerical method, the predicted power number and flow pattern are compared with designed values and simulated results from the literature, respectively. The effects of particle density, particle diameter, liquid viscosity and initial solid loading on particle suspension behavior are investigated by using the Eulerian-Eulerian two-fluid model and the standard k-s turbulence model. The results indicate that solid concentration distribution depends on the flow field in the stirred tank.Higher particle density or larger particle size results in less homogenous distribution of solid particles in the tank.Increasing initial solid loading has an adverse impact on the homogeneous suspension of solid particles in a low-viscosity liquid, whilst more uniform particle distribution is found in a high-viscosity liquid. | Nana Qi Hu Zhang Kai Zhang Gang Xu Yongping Yang | 2013 | Particuology2013,11,3: | 19
Whole-genome sequencing of 508 patients identifies key molecular features associated with poor prognosis in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)is a poor-prognosis cancer type with limited understanding of its molecular etiology.Using 508 ESCC genomes,we identified five novel significantly mutated genes and uncovered mutational signature clusters associated with metastasis and patients’outcomes.Several functional assays implicated that NFE2L2 may act as a tumor suppressor in ESCC and that mutations in NFE2L2 probably impaired its tumor-suppressive function,or even conferred oncogenic activities.Additionally,we found that the NFE2L2 mutations were significantly associated with worse prognosis of ESCC.We also identified potential noncoding driver mutations including hotspot mutations in the promoter region of SLC35E2 that were correlated with worse survival.Approximately 5.9%and 15.2%of patients had high tumor mutation burden or actionable mutations, respectively, and may benefit from immunotherapy or targeted therapies. We found clinically relevant coding and noncoding genomic alterations and revealed three major subtypes that robustly predicted patients’outcomes.Collectively,we report the largest dataset of genomic profiling of ESCC useful for developing ESCC-specific biomarkers for diagnosis and treatment. | Yongping Cui Hongyan Chen Ruibin Xi Heyang Cui Yahui Zhao Enwei Xu Ting Yan Xiaomei Lu Furong Huang Pengzhou Kong Yang Li Xiaolin Zhu Jiawei Wang Wenjie Zhu Jie Wang Yanchun Ma Yong Zhou Shiping Guo Ling Zhang Yiqian Liu Bin Wang Yanfeng Xi Ruifang Sun Xiao Yu Yuanfang Zhai Fang Wang Jian Yang Bin Yang Caixia Cheng Jing Liu Bin Song Hongyi Li Yi Wang Yingchun Zhang Xiaolong Cheng Qimin Zhan Yanhong Li Zhihua Liu-Show | 2020 | Cell Research2020,30,10: | 19

Hydrology and water resources variation and its response to regional climate change in Xinjiang显示文摘Based on the surface runoff, temperature and precipitation data over the last 50 years from eight representative rivers in Xinjiang, using Mann-Kendall trend and jump detection method, the paper investigated the long-term trend and jump point of time series, the surface runoff, mean annual temperature and annual precipitation. Meanwhile, the paper analyzed the relationship between runoff and temperature and precipitation, and the flood frequency and peak flow. Results showed that climate of all parts of Xinjiang conformably has experienced an increase in temperature and precipitation since the mid-1980s. Northern Xinjiang was the area that changed most significantly followed by southern and eastern Xinjiang. Affected by temperature and precipitation variation, river runoff had changed both inter-annually and intra-annually. The surface runoff of most rivers has increased significantly since the early 1990s, and some of them have even witnessed the earlier spring floods, later summer floods and increasing flood peaks. The variation characteristics were closely related with the replenishment types of rivers. Flood frequency and peak flow increased all over Xinjiang. Climate warming has had an effect on the regional hydrological cycle. | XU Changchun CHEN Yaning YANG Yuhui HAO Xingming SHEN Yongping | 2010 | Journal of Geographical Sciences2010,20,4: | 17

Genomic landscape and genetic manipulation of the black soldier fly Hermetia illucens,a natural waste recycler显示文摘The black soldier fly(BSF),Hermetia illucens(Diptera:Stratiomyidae),is renowned for its bioconversion of organic waste into a sustainable source of animal feed.We report a high-quality genome of 1.1 Gb and a consensus set of 16,770 gene models for this beneficial species.Compared to those of other dipteran species, the BSF genome has undergone a substantial expansion in functional modules related to septic adaptation, including immune system factors, olfactory receptors, and cytochrome P450s.We further profiled midgut transcriptomes and associated microbiomes of BSF larvae fed with representative types of organic waste. We find that the pathways related to digestive system and fighting infection are commonly enriched and that Firmicutes bacteria dominate the microbial community in BSF across all diets. To extend its potential practical applications,we further developed an efficient CRISPR/Cas9-based gene editing approach and implemented this to yield flightless and enhanced feeding capacity phenotypes, both of which could expand BSF production capabilities. Our study provides valuable genomic and technical resources for optimizing BSF lines for industrialization. | Shuai Zhan Gangqi Fang Minmin Cai Zongqing Kou Jun Xu Yanghui Cao Liang Bai Yixiang Zhang Yongmao Jiang Xingyu Luo Jian Xu Xia Xu Longyu Zheng Ziniu Yu Hong Yang Zhijian Zhang Sibao Wang Jeffery K.Tomberlin Jibin Zhang Yongping Huang | 2020 | Cell Research2020,30,1: | 9
Chicken egg yolk antibodies (IgY) as non-antibiotic production enhancers for use in swine production: a review显示文摘In recent years, the use of in-feed antibiotics for growth and disease prevention in livestock production has been under severe scrutiny. The use and misuse of in-feed antibiotics has led to problems with drug residues in animal products and increased bacterial resistance.Chicken egg yolk antibodies(IgY) have attracted considerable attention as an alternative to antibiotics to maintain swine health and performance.Oral administration of IgY possesses many advantages over mammalian IgG such as cost-effectiveness,convenience and high yield. This review presents an overview of the potential to use IgY immunotherapy for the prevention and treatment of swine diarrhea diseases and speculates on the future of IgY technology.Included are a review of the potential applications of IgY in the control of enteric infections of either bacterial or viral origin such as enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli,Salmonella spp.,rotavirus, porcine transmissible gastroenteritis virus, and porcine epidemic diarrhea virus. Some potential obstacles to the adoption of IgY technology are also discussed. | Xiaoyu Li Lili Wang Yuhong Zhent Shuying Li Yongping Xu | 2016 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2016,7,1: | 5
Ultrathin 2D Metal–Organic Framework Nanosheets In situ Interpenetrated by Functional CNTs for Hybrid Energy Storage Device显示文摘The controllable construction of two-dimensional(2D)metal–organic framework(MOF)nanosheets with favorable electrochemical performances is greatly challenging for energy storage. Here,we design an in situ induced growth strategy to construct the ultrathin carboxylated carbon nanotubes(C-CNTs)interpenetrated nickel MOF(Ni-MOF/C-CNTs)nanosheets.The deliberate thickness and specific surface area of novel 2D hybrid nanosheets can be effectively tuned via finely controlling C-CNTs involvement.Due to the unique microstructure, the integrated 2D hybrid nanosheets are endowed with plentiful electroactive sites to promote the electrochemical performances greatly. The prepared Ni-MOF/C-CNTs nanosheets exhibit superior specific capacity of 680 C g^−1 at 1 A g^−1 and good capacity retention. The assembled hybrid device demonstrated the maximum energy density of 44.4 Wh kg^−1 at a power density of 440 W kg^−1.Our novel strategy to construct ultrathin 2D MOF with unique properties can be extended to synthesize various MOF-based functional materials for diverse applications. | Feitian Ran Xueqing Xu Duo Pan Yuyan Liu Yongping Bai Lu Shao | 2020 | Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,4: | 5

Sintilimab for relapsed/refractory extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma: a multicenter, single-arm, phase 2 trial (ORIENT-4)显示文摘This study(ORIENT-4)aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of sintilimab,a humanized anti-PD-1 antibody,in patients with relapsed/refractory extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma(r/r ENKTL).ORIENT-4 is a multicenter,single-arm,phase 2 clinical trial(NCT03228836).Patients with r/r ENKTL who failed to at least one asparaginase-based regimen were enrolled to receive sintilimab 200 mg intravenously every 3 weeks for up to 24 months. The primary endpoint was the objective response rate(ORR)based on Lugano 2014 criteria.Twenty-eight patients with r/r ENKTL were enrolled from August 31,2017 to February 7,2018.Twenty-one patients(75.0%,95%CI:55.1–89.3%)achieved an objective response. With a median follow-up of 30.4 months, the median overall survival(OS)was not reached. The 24-month OS rate was 78.6%(95%CI,58.4–89.8%).Most treatment-related adverse events(TRAEs)were grade 1–2(71.4%),and the most common TRAE was decreased lymphocyte count(42.9%).Serious adverse events(SAEs)occurred in 7(25.0%)patients,and no patient died of adverse events.Sintilimab is effective and well tolerated in patients with r/r ENKTL and could be a novel therapeutic approach for the control of ENKTL in patients. | Rong Tao Lei Fan Yongping Song Yu Hu Wei Zhang Yafei Wang Wei Xu Jianyong Li | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,11: | 4
Bacteriophages as antimicrobial agents against major pathogens in swine: a review显示文摘In recent years, the development of antibiotic resistant bacteria has become a global concern which has prompted research into the development of alternative disease control strategies for the swine industry.Bacteriophages(viruses that infect bacteria) offer the prospect of a sustainable alternative approach against bacterial pathogens with the flexibility of being applied therapeutically or for biological control purposes. This paper reviews the use of phages as an antimicrobial strategy for controlling critical pathogens including Salmonella and Escherichia coll with an emphasis on the application of phages for improving performance and nutrient digestibility in swine operations as well as in controlling zoonotic human diseases by reducing the bacterial load spread from pork products to humans through the meat. | Jiancheng Zhang Zhen Li Zhenhui Cao Lili Wang Xiaoyu Li Shuying Li Yongping Xu | 2016 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2016,7,1: | 3
Structure optimization of gas-liquid combined loop reactor using a CFD-PBE coupled model显示文摘Flow characteristics, such as flow pattern, gas holdup, and bubble size distribution, in an internal loop reactor with external liquid circulation, are simulated to investigate the influence of reactor internals by using the computational fluid dynamics (CFD)-population balance equations (PBE) coupled model. Numerical results reveal that introducing a downcomer tube and a draft tube can help to improve the mass and heat transfer of the reactor through enhanced liquid circulation, increased gas holdup and reduced bubble diameter. The hydrodynamic behavior in the internal loop reactor with external liquid circulation can be managed effectively by adjusting the diameter and axial position of the draft tube. | Qi Nana Zhang Kai Xu Gang Yang Yongping Zhang Hu | 2012 | Petroleum Science2012,9,3: | 3
2022 Chinese expert consensus and guidelines on clinical management of toxicity in anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy for B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma显示文摘Adoptive cellular immunotherapy with chimeric antigen receptor(CAR)T cells has emerged as a novel modality for treating relapsed and/or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma(B-NHL).With increasing approval of CAR T-cell products and advances in CAR T cell therapy,CAR T cells are expected to be used in a growing number of cases. However,CAR T-cell-associated toxicities can be severe or even fatal, thus compromising the survival benefit from this therapy.Standardizing and studying the clinical management of these toxicities are imperative. In contrast to other hematological malignancies, such as acute lymphoblastic leukemia and multiple myeloma,anti-CD19 CAR T-cell-associated toxicities in B-NHL have several distinctive features, most notably local cytokine-release syndrome(CRS).However, previously published guidelines have provided few specific recommendations for the grading and management of toxicities associated with CAR T-cell treatment for B-NHL.Consequently,we developed this consensus for the prevention, recognition, and management of these toxicities,on the basis of published literature regarding the management of anti-CD19 CAR T-cell-associated toxicities and the clinical experience of multiple Chinese institutions. This consensus refines a grading system and classification of CRS in B-NHL and corresponding measures for CRS management, and delineates comprehensive principles and exploratory recommendations for managing anti-CD19 CAR T-cell-associated toxicities in addition to CRS. | Ping Li Yang Liu Yun Liang Jian Bo Sujun Gao Yongxian Hu Yu Hu He Huang Xiaojun Huang Hongmei Jing Xiaoyan Ke Jianyong Li Yuhua Li Qifa Liu Peihua Lu Heng Mei Ting Niu Yongping Song Yuqin Song Liping Su Sanfang Tu Jianxiang Wang Depei Wu Zhao Wang Kailin Xu Zhitao Ying Qingming Yang Yajing Zhang Fengxia Shi Bin Zhang Huilai Zhang Xi Zhang Mingfeng Zhao Weili Zhao Xiangyu Zhao Liang Huang Jun Zhu Wenbin Qian Weidong Han Aibin Liang | 2023 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2023,20,2: | 3
Effects of different loading rates and types of biochar on passivations of Cu and Zn via swine manure composting显示文摘Pollution of arable land caused by heavy metals in livestock and poultry manure has become a potential threaten to human health in China.Safe disposal of the contained toxic pollution with animal manure by co-composting with biochar is one of the alternative methods.Biochars from different sources(wheat straw, peanut shells and rice husks)amended with different loading rates were investigated for passivations of copper and zinc(Cu and Zn)in swine manure composting. Results showed that the passivation effects of the three types of biochar on Cu and Zn were enhanced with increasing biochar dose.Contents of Cu and Zn measured by diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid(DTPA)and Community Bureau of Reference(CBR)showed that wheat straw biochar with the loading rates of 10%–13%(w/w)was superior to the other two types of biochar in this study.Compared with the control, sample from wheat straw biochar was more favorable for the bacterial growth of Proteobacteria,Firmicutes and Actinobacteria. In addition, pot experiment showed that organic fertilizer amended with wheat straw biochar could significantly improve the growth of Chinese pakchoi and enzyme activities(superoxide dismutase, peroxidase, polyphenol oxidase and catalase)as compared with the control.Cu and Zn contents of Chinese pakchoi in the organic fertilizer group containing wheat straw biochar reduced by 73.2%and 45.2%,65.8%and 33.6%,respectively,compared with the group without loading biochar. There was no significant difference in the contents of vitamin C and reducing sugar between the groups of organic fertilizer amended with/without wheat straw biochar, however, there was significant difference compared with the heavy metal addition group. The application of organic fertilizer formed by adding biochar can effectively reduce the adverse effects of heavy metals on crops. | CHEN Yan XU Yongping QU Fangjing HOU Fuqin CHEN Hongli LI Xiaoyu | 2020 | Journal of Arid Land2020,12,6: | 3
A review of concentrated photovoltaic-thermal(CPVT) hybrid solar systems with waste heat recovery(WHR)显示文摘In conventional photovoltaic(PV) systems, a large portion of solar energy is dissipated as waste heat since the generating efficiency is usually less than 30%. As the dissipated heat can be recovered for various applications, the wasted heat recovery concentrator PV/thermal(WHR CPVT) hybrid systems have been developed. They can provide both electricity and usable heat by combining thermal systems with concentrator PV(CPV) module, which dramatically improves the overall conversion efficiency of solar energy. This paper systematically and comprehensively reviews the research and development of WHR CPVT systems. WHR CPVT systems with innovative design configurations, different theoretical evaluation models and experimental test processes for several implementations are presented in an integrated manner. We aim to provide a global point of view on the research trends, market potential, technical obstacles, and the future work which is required in the development of WHR CPVT technology. Possibly, it will offer a generic guide to the investigators who are interested in the study of WHR CPVT systems. | Xing Ju Chao Xu Zhirong Liao Xiaoze Du Gaosheng Wei Zhifeng Wang Yongping Yang | 2017 | Science Bulletin2017,62,20: | 3
Melting heat transfer enhancement of a horizontal latent heat storage unit by fern-fractal fins显示文摘The latent heat storage(LHS)technique is of crucial importance in chemical energy engineering.Inspired by multi-bifurcated fern leaves,a mimic fern-fractal fin is designed to improve the thermal energy charging efficiency. This paper develops a transient melting model of a rectangular LHS unit using fern-fractal fins, and their melting behaviors are compared with the conventional fins.Besides,a parametric optimization of fernfractal fins is conducted for maximizing the thermal efficiency based on the response surface method(RSM).The results indicate that the temperature uniformity is more superior and the melting duration is shorter for the fern-fractal LHS unit when compared with the conventional one.Interestingly, the fern-fractal LHS device presents a slower heat storage rate during the initial conduction-dominated and early convection-dominated melting stages, while a prominent melting enhancement is achieved during the later melting stage. The shortest melting time is obtained based on the RSM technique when a fern-fractal fin with length ratio α=0.94 and branch angle θ=54.7°is utilized.Compared with a conventional fin,the averaged heat storage rate increases by 88.3%,and the total melting time is declined by 40.3%for an optimized fern-fractal fin. | Zilong Deng Suchen Wu Hao Xu Yongping Chen | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,11: | 3
A novel lignite pre-drying system with low-grade heat integration for modern lignite power plants显示文摘The lignite pre-drying process plays an important role in modern lignite power plants and the fluidized bed dryer with internal heat utilization is a promising drying method which has both high efficiency and cost-effectiveness. After conducting an in-depth analysis of a typical lignite pre-drying power plant, this work proposed a novel lignite pre-drying system with low-grade heat integration. Through system integration, the low-temperature evaporation of the lignite was recovered to heat the combustion air, while the residual heat from the flue gases was used to heat the feed or condensed water, thereby saving a portion of heat from the steam bleeds of the high and intermediate pressure turbines. The results for a1,000 MW lignite-fired power plant showed that, the proposed pre-drying system could yield an increase in net plant efficiency of approximately 3.6 % points and a reduction in the cost of electricity of $1.83/(MW h). The thermodynamic and economic performances were each superior to those of the existing pre-drying system, convincingly demonstrating that the research of this paper may provide a promising integrated lignite pre-drying method for the next-generation of lignite-fired power plants. | Cheng Xu Gang Xu Yu Han Feifei Liang Yaxiong Fang Yongping Yang | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,33: | 2
Gasification kinetic modelling of Victorian brown coal chars and validity for entrained flow gasification in CO_(2)显示文摘The gasification kinetic modelling of two Victorian brown coal(Yallourn and Maddingley)chars and the validity for entrained flow gasification were investigated in this study. The study was conducted in a thermogravimetric analyzer(TGA)at 750–1100℃,30%–90%CO_(2)concentration using different char particle sizes within 20–106 mm.It was found that random pore model and modified volumetric model are applicable for TGA results, but volumetric model and grain model are not.The effect of particle size under106 mm on gasification rate is very limited.Activation energies of Maddingley char and Yallourn char in CO_(2)gasification are 219–220 and 197–208 k J/mol,respectively.The pre-exponential factors are in the same order of magnitude, and they increased as particle size decreased.A mathematical model was developed to predict carbon conversion over time for entrained flow gasification of Victorian brown coal chars at 1000–1400℃. | Tao Xu Yongping Wu Sankar Bhattacharya | 2021 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,3: | 2
