3Study on the physiological indices of Pinus sibirica and Pinus koraiensis seedlings under cold stress显示文摘Although Pinus sibirica and Pinus koraiensis are resistant to cold or low temperatures in the cold temperate regions of the northern hemisphere,the former has a stronger cold resistance.Research has been limited to the comparison of physiological responses of the two species to cold stress.In this study,5-year-old seedlings of P.sibirica and P.koraiensis were subjected to six temperature treatments,[20℃(control),0℃,-20℃,-40℃,-60℃,and-80℃],under different stress periods(6,12,24,and 48 h).The results showed that differences in each physiological index were significant between P.sibirica and P.koraiensis,except for the permeability of cell membranes,reactive oxygen species,proline and soluble proteins.An ANOVA test indicated that there were extreme differences among the temperatures for each index,stress time and temperature 9 time for most indices.All indices showed a similar trend for P.sibirica and P.koraiensis with decreasing temperature or the extension of stress time.Soluble sugars and proline increased at 0 to-20℃and then remained unchanged with temperature decline.Other indices showed an increase from 20 to-20℃,stable from-20 to-40℃and a decrease from-40 to-80℃.All the indices increased and then declined along with the prolonged cold stress time,except for the control.From 0 to-40℃,the permeability of cell membranes,relative conductivity,reactive oxygen species and malonaldehyde of P.koraiensis seedlings were higher than in P.sibirica,but superoxide dismutase,peroxidase,catalase activity and soluble sugars,proline,and soluble proteins content emerged as opposite.This study compared the physiological mechanism responses to cold stress between P.sibirica and P.koraiensis to provide the basis for the introduction,distribution,and genetic improvement of these coniferous species.Fang Wang Deyang Liang Xiaona Pei Qinhui Zhang Peng Zhang Jianqiu Zhang Zhimin Lu Yuchun Yang Guifeng Liu Xiyang Zhao 2019Journal of Forestry Research2019,30,4:12
4High degree of pharmacokinetic compatibility exists between the five-herb medicine XueBiJing and antibiotics comedicated in sepsis care显示文摘Managing the dysregulated host response to infection remains a major challenge in sepsis care. Chinese treatment guideline recommends adding Xue Bi Jing, a five-herb medicine, to antibioticbased sepsis care. Although adding Xue Bi Jing further reduced 28-day mortality via modulating the host response, pharmacokinetic herbedrug interaction is a widely recognized issue that needs to be studied.Building on our earlier systematic chemical and human pharmacokinetic investigations of Xue Bi Jing, we evaluated the degree of pharmacokinetic compatibility for Xue Bi Jing/antibiotic combination based on mechanistic evidence of interaction risk. Considering both Xue Bi Jing-antibiotic and antibiotic-Xue Bi Jing interaction potential, we integrated informatics-based approach with experimental approach and developed a compound pair-based method for data processing. To reflect clinical reality, we selected for study Xue Bi Jing compounds bioavailable for drug interactions and 45 antibiotics commonly used in sepsis care in China. Based on the data of interacting with drug metabolizing enzymes and transporters, no Xue Bi Jing compound could pair, as perpetrator, with the antibiotics. Although some antibiotics could,due to their inhibition of uridine 50-diphosphoglucuronosyltransferase 2 B15, organic anion transporters1/2 and/or organic anion-transporting polypeptide 1 B3, pair with senkyunolide I, tanshinol and salvianolic acid B, the potential interactions(resulting in increased exposure) are likely desirable due to these Xue Bi Jing compounds’ low baseline exposure levels. Inhibition of aldehyde dehydrogenase by 7 antibiotics probably results in undesirable reduction of exposure to protocatechuic acid from Xue Bi Jing.Collectively, Xue Bi Jing/antibiotic combination exhibited a high degree of pharmacokinetic compatibility at clinically relevant doses. 5Exploitation of methane in the hydrate by use of carbon dioxide in the presence of sodium chloride显示文摘The replacement process of CH4 from CH4 hydrate formed in NaCl solution by using pressurized CO2 was investigated with a self-designed device at temperatures of 271.05,273.15 and 275.05 K and a constant pressure of 3.30 MPa.The mass fraction of the NaCl solution was either 0.5 wt% or 1.0 wt%.The effects of temperature and concentration of NaCl solution on the replacement process were investigated.Experimental results showed that high temperature was favorable to the replacement reaction but high NaCl concentration had a negative effect on the replacement process.Based on the experimental data,kinetic models of CH4 hydrate decomposition and CO2 hydrate formation in NaCl solution were established.The calculated activation energies suggested that both CH4 hydrate decomposition and CO2 hydrate formation are dominated by diffusion in the hydrate phase.Zunzhao Li Xuqiang Guo Lanying Yang Xiaona Ma 2009Petroleum Science2009,6,4:5
6Inhibition of gasdermin D-dependent pyroptosis attenuates the progression of silica-induced pulmonary inflammation and fibrosis显示文摘Silicosis is a leading cause of occupational disease-related morbidity and mortality worldwide,but the molecular basis underlying its development remains unclear.An accumulating body of evidence supports gasdermin D(GSDMD)-mediated pyroptosis as a key component in the development of various pulmonary diseases.However,there is little experimental evidence connecting silicosis and GSDMD-driven pyroptosis.In this work,we investigated the role of GSDMD-mediated pyroptosis in silicosis.Single-cell RNA sequencing of healthy and silicosis human and murine lung tissues indicated that GSDMD-induced pyroptosis in macrophages was relevant to silicosis progression.Through microscopy we then observed morphological alterations of pyroptosis in macrophages treated with silica.Measurement of interleukin-1βrelease,lactic dehydrogenase activity,and real-time propidium iodide staining further revealed that silica induced pyroptosis of macrophages.Additionally,we verified that both canonical(caspase-1-mediated)and non-canonical(caspase-4/5/11-mediated)signaling pathways mediated silica-induced pyroptosis activation,in vivo and in vitro.Notably,Gsdmd knockout mice exhibited dramatically alleviated silicosis phenotypes,which highlighted the pivotal role of pyroptosis in this disease.Taken together,our results demonstrated that macrophages underwent GSDMD-dependent pyroptosis in silicosis and inhibition of this process could serve as a viable clinical strategy for mitigating silicosis.Meiyue Song Jiaxin Wang Youliang Sun Junling Pang Xiaona Li Yuan Liu Yitian Zhou Peiran Yang Tianhui Fan Ying Liu Zhaoguo Li Xianmei Qi Baicun Li Xinri Zhang Jing Wang Chen Wang 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,3:5
7Bio-inspired Superhydrophobic Self-healing Surfaces with Synergistic Anticorrosion Performance显示文摘The past decade has witnessed significant efforts in addressing the global metallic corrosion challenge,with a focus on avoiding or mitigating huge economic losses incurred by corrosion and on the development of protective coatings on metals.Herein,a synergistic anticorrosion coating with both superhydrophobicity and self-healing properties was reported,through a facile replica molding method by mixing the polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)matrix with nano-sized SiO2 particles and 2-mercaptobenzothiazole(MBT)loaded halloysites(HNTs).The surface exhibits robust self-cleaning behavior under harsh conditions and high liquid repellence to withstand the osmosis of corrosive ions.The self-healing performance of the coating,due to the introduction of MBT-loaded HNTs,enhances the anticorrosion capability,which is still valid once the protective layer is damaged.Potentiodynamic polarization(PDP)and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy(EIS)measurements demonstrate that the synergetic effects in anticorrosion performances significantly enhance the long-term corrosion protection of metals.Hence,this type of dual-action coating may find unique applications in metal corrosion resistance where both super-repellency and self-healing properties are desired.Xiaona Yang Limei Tian Wei Wang Yong Fan Jiyu Sun Jie Zhao Luquan Ren 2020Journal of Bionic Engineering2020,17,6:4
8Effect of age on the pharmacokinetics of polymorphic nimodipine in rats after oral administration显示文摘The previous investigation has proved that their existed pharmacokinetic difference between the different crystal forms of the polymorphic drugs after oral administration.However,no systemic investigations have been made on the change of this pharmacokinetic difference,resulted either from the physiological or from the pathological factors.In this paper,we used polymorphic nimodipine(Nim) as a model drug and investigated the effect of age difference(2- and 9-month old) on the pharmacokinetics after oral delivery in rats.As the results shown,for L-form of Nim(L-Nim),the AUC0–24 hin 2-month-old rats was 343.68747.15 ng h/m L,which is 23.36% higher than that in 9-month-old rats.For H-form of Nim(H-Nim),the AUC0–24 hin 2-monthold rats was 140.91719.47 ng h/m L,which is 54.64% higher than that in 9-month-old rats.The AUC0–24 h ratio between H-Nim and L-Nim was 2.44 in 2-month-old rats and 3.06 in 9-month-old rats.Since age difference could result in unparallelled change of the absorption and bioavailability of the polymorphic drugs,the results in this experiment are of value for further investigation of crystal form selection in clinical trials and rational clinical application of the polymorphic drugs.Wenli Liu Xiaona Wang Ruilian Chen Kaixuan Zhang Yao Li Yi Li Duanyun Si Junbo Gong Dianshu Yin Yongli Wang Zhenping Wei Mingshi Yang 2016Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2016,6,5:3
9Development of powdery mildew resistant derivatives of wheat variety Fielder for use in genetic transformation显示文摘Genetic transformation is widely used to improve target traits and to study gene function in wheat.However,transformation efficiency depends on the physiological status of the recipient genotype and that is affected by several factors including powdery mildew(PM)infection.The widely used recipient variety Fielder is very susceptible to PM.Therefore,it would be beneficial to develop PM resistant derivatives with high regeneration ability for use in genetic transformation.In the present study PM resistant lines CB037 and Pm97033 carrying genes Pm21 and PmV,respectively,were backcrossed to Fielder with selection for PM resistance.Five lines,NT89,NT90,NT154,and WT48 with Pm21 and line FL347 with PmV were developed,identified by molecular markers and genomic in situ hybridization(GISH)or fluorescent in situ hybridization(FISH),and further subjected to detailed assessment of agronomic traits and regeneration ability following genetic transformation capacity.Lines FL347,WT48,NT89 and NT154 assessed as being equal to,or superior,to Fielder in regeneration and transformation ability are recommended as suitable materials for the replacement of Fielder for wheat gene transfer and genome editing study.Xiaona Liang Xiaomin Bie Yuliang Qiu Ke Wang Zujun Yang Yuqi Jia Zhiying Xu Mei Yu Lipu Du Zhishan Lin Xingguo Ye 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,2:2

12Effect of the capsule on deformation and densification behavior of nickel-based superalloy compact during hot isostatic pressing显示文摘The Shima yield criterion used in finite element analysis for nickel-based superalloy powder compact during hot isostatic pressing(HIP) was modified through uniaxial compression experiments. The influence of cylindrical capsule characteristics on FGH4096M superalloy powder compact deformation and densification behavior during HIP was investigated through simulations and experiments. Results revealed the simulation shrinkage prediction fitted well with the experimental shrinkage including a maximum shrinkage error of 1.5%. It was shown that the axial shrinkage was 1.7% higher than radial shrinkage for a cylindrical capsule with the size of ∮50 mm × 100 mm due to the force arm difference along the axial and radial direction of the capsule. The stress deviated from the isostatic state in the capsule led to the uneven shrinkage and non-uniform densification of the powder compact. The ratio of the maximum radial displacement to axial displacement increased from0.47 to 0.75 with the capsule thickness increasing from 2 to 4 mm. 16Molecular mechanism underlying the subtype-selectivity of competitive inhibitor NF110 and its distinct potencies in human and rat P2X3 receptors显示文摘P2X receptors are a family of extracellular ATP-gated trimeric cation channels that is widely distributed in human tissues. Quite some drug candidates targeting P2X receptors have entered into preclinical or main phases of clinical trials, but many of them failed due to low subtype-selectivity or species differences in pharmacological activities between human and experimental animals. Here, we identified the distinct inhibitory efficacies of NF110, a competitive inhibitor, between the rat(rP2X3) and human(hP2X3) P2X3 receptors. We demonstrated that this difference is determined by two amino acids located in the dorsal fin(DF) domain of P2X3 receptors. As revealed by mutagenesis, metadynamics, and covalent modification, NF110-mediated rP2X3 inhibition may be through a filling in the cavity formed by the DF,left flipper(LF) and lower body(LB) to partially, rather than fully, occupy the ATP-binding pocket.Moreover, substitution of residues located in the DF and/or LF domains of the rP2X2 receptor, a NF110-insensitive subtype, with the equivalent amino acids of rP2X3, bestowed the sensitivity of rP2X2 to NF110. The critical roles of the DF and LF domains in channel gating of P2X and low conservativity in residue sequences of those two domains raise the possibility that small molecules differentially interacting with the residues of the DF and LF domains of different P2X receptors may modulate channel's activity in a subtype-selective manner. 17Sorption and desorption characteristics of sulfamethazine in three different soils before and after removal of organic matter显示文摘Organic matter(OM)is the most critical factor in controlling the sorption-desorption of SMZ in soil,however,few studies have explored the effects of OM removal on these important behaviors among different soils.Batch experiments were conducted to investigate the sorption and desorption characteristics of SMZ in three different soils:fluvo-aquic soil(FS),paddy soil(PS),and red soil(RS).The SMZ sorption in the evaluated soils was dominated by physisorption.The SMZ sorption capacities of FS and PS,which had a relatively higher OM content than RS,were higher than that of RS.The SMZ sorption in FS was dominated by linear partitioning.In contrast,the SMZ sorption in PS and RS was mainly nonlinear surface adsorption.After OM removal,the SMZ sorption capacity was significantly reduced in FS but increased in PS and RS.Furthermore,OM removal restrained the sorption intensity of SMZ in soils.Relatively higher OM and clay contents inhibited the SMZ desorption in FS and PS.The strong negative desorption hysteresis of SMZ in the three soils indicated that SMZ was able to move into the soil solution,thereby posing a risk to humans.Taken together,the findings of this study showed that OM indeed plays an important role during SMZ sorption-desorption in soil.Xiaona LI Yang SONG Mingyun JIA Fang WANG Yongrong BIAN Xin JIANG 2021Pedosphere2021,31,5:1
18Quantification of traffic-induced compaction based on soil and agricultural implement parameters显示文摘Vehicle-induced soil compaction occurs when agricultural machinery is working in the fields.The accumulated soil compaction could destroy soil structure and inhibit crop growth.The low degree of visualization of soil compaction has always been an important reason for restricting the development of compaction alleviation technology.Therefore,the main objective of this study was to predict soil compaction based on soil and agricultural implement parameters.The component of soil compaction prediction includes traffic-induced stress transmission evaluation and the quantitative relationship between soil stress and bulk density.The modified FRIDA model was used to elucidate the soil stress propagation,which has been validated by previous studies.The Bailey formula was used to establish the intrinsic relationship between soil stress and bulk density.The soil uniaxial compression test was applied to obtain the parameters of the Bailey formula,and soil samples were prepared with three different levels of water content.After fitting with the Bailey formula,under the condition that the soil moisture contents were 16%,20%,and 24%,the fitting coefficients of soil bulk density were respectively 0.980,0.959,and 0.975,which were close to 1.The results indicated that the Bailey formula could be used to calculate soil bulk density based on the stress conditions of the soil.To verify the practicality of the soil compaction prediction model,a field experiment was carried out in Zhuozhou City,Hebei Province,China.The treatment was set for 1,3,5,7,and 9 times compaction with two different loads of compaction equipment.The results showed that the fit coefficient between the predicted and measured values of soil bulk density was greater than 0.641.The slope of the equation was greater than 0.782,proving that the soil bulk density prediction model based on agricultural implements and soil parameters has a good predictive effect on soil bulk density.The soil compaction evaluation model can provide a theoretical basis to further understand the soil compaction mechanism,allowing rational measures of soil compaction alleviation to be made.Xianliang Wang Xiangcai Zhang Xiaona Lin Luming Sha Hanyu Yang Zhaoyang Guo Zeyu Chen Rongyan Sun 2020International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,5:1
