| 2 | Polyethyleneimine-modified calcium carbonate nanoparticles for p53 gene delivery显示文摘In this study,calcium carbonate(CaCO3)nanoparticles with spherical structure were regulated by arginine and successfully synthesized via a facile co-precipitation method.The average particle size of as-prepared CaCO3 was about 900 nm.The properties of nanostructured CaCO3 particles were characterized by scanning electron microscope,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,Xray diffraction and size distribution.After modified with polyethyleneimine(PEI),the ability of PEICaCO3 nanoparticles to carry GFP-marked p53 gene(pEGFP-C1-p53)into cancer cells to express P53 protein were studied.Meanwhile,the cytotoxicity,transfection efficiency,cells growth inhibition and the ability to induce apoptosis by expressed P53 protein were conducted to evaluate the performances of PEI-CaCO3 nanoparticles.The results show that prepared PEI-CaCO3 nanoparticles had good biocompatibility and low cytotoxicity in a certain concentration range.PEI-CaCO3 effectively transfected pEGFP-C1 gene into epithelial-like cancer cells.And with the expression of GFP-P53 fusion protein,pEGFP-C1-p53-gene-loaded PEI-CaCO3 particles significantly reduced the proliferation of cancer cells.These findings indicate that our PEI-modified CaCO3 nanoparticles are potential to be successfully used as carriers for gene therapy. | Cen Chen Huafeng Han Wei Yang Xiaoyuan Ren Xiangdong Kong | 2016 | Regenerative Biomaterials2016,3,1: | 4 |

| 4 | An Efficient Location Privacy Protection Scheme Based on the Chinese Remainder Theorem显示文摘Traditional k-anonymity schemes cannot protect a user's privacy perfectly in big data and mobile network environments. In fact, existing k-anonymity schemes only protect location in datasets with small granularity. But in larger granularity datasets, a user's geographical region-location is always exposed in realizations of k-anonymity because of interaction with neighboring nodes. And if a user could not find enough adjacent access points, most existing schemes would be invalid. How to protect location information has become an important issue. But it has not attracted much attention. To solve this problem, two location-privacy protection models are proposed. Then a new generalized k-anonymity Location Privacy Protection Scheme based on the Chinese Remainder Theorem(LPSS-CRT) in Location-Based Services(LBSs) is proposed. We prove that it can guarantee that users can access LBSs without leaking their region-location information, which means the scheme can achieve perfect anonymity.Analysis shows that LPPS-CRT is more secure in protecting location privacy, including region information, and is more efficient, than similar schemes. | 6 | Two Ultraviolet Radiation Datasets that Cover China显示文摘Ultraviolet(UV) radiation has significant effects on ecosystems, environments, and human health, as well as atmospheric processes and climate change. Two ultraviolet radiation datasets are described in this paper. One contains hourly observations of UV radiation measured at 40 Chinese Ecosystem Research Network stations from 2005 to 2015. CUV3 broadband radiometers were used to observe the UV radiation, with an accuracy of 5%, which meets the World Meteorology Organization's measurement standards. The extremum method was used to control the quality of the measured datasets. The other dataset contains daily cumulative UV radiation estimates that were calculated using an all-sky estimation model combined with a hybrid model. The reconstructed daily UV radiation data span from 1961 to 2014. The mean absolute bias error and root-mean-square error are smaller than 30% at most stations, and most of the mean bias error values are negative, which indicates underestimation of the UV radiation intensity. These datasets can improve our basic knowledge of the spatial and temporal variations in UV radiation. | 9 | Pigeon Robot for Navigation Guided by Remote Control:System Construction and Functional Verification显示文摘Animal robots have outstanding advantages over traditional robots in their own energy supplies,orientation,and natural concealment,delivering significant value in the theories and applications of neural science,national security,and other fields.Presently,many animal robots have been fabricated,but researches about the applications of avian robots are still lacking.In this study,we constructed a Pigeon Robot System(PRS),optimized the electric stimulation parameters,assessed the electric stimulus of navigation,and evaluated the navigation efficiency in the field.Biphasic pulse constant current pattern was adapted,and the optimal stimulus parameters of 4 nuclei tested were of amplitude 0.3 mA,5 pulse trains,frequency 25 Hz,5 pulses,and a 25%duty cycle.Effective ratio of left and right steering behavior response to electric stimulus dorsointermedius ventralis anterior nuclei was 67%and 83%,respectively(mean value 75%).Electrical stimulation efficiency was 0.34-0.68 and path efficiency was 0.72-0.85 among pigeon robot individuals in the open field.Neither electrical stimulation efficiency nor path efficiency differed significantly(P>0.05),suggesting that the navigational PRS performance was not biased in either direction.PRS can achieve continuous navigation along simple pathways and provide the necessary application infrastructure and technical reference for the development of animal robot navigation technology. | Zhengyue Zhou Denghui Liu Hong Sun Wenbo Xu Xinmao Tian Xiaoyuan Li Han Cheng Zhenlong Wang | 2021 | Journal of Bionic Engineering2021,18,1: | 1 |

| 20 | Realizing enhanced thermoelectric properties in Cu_(2)S-alloyed Sn Se based composites produced via solution synthesis and sintering显示文摘Sn Se emerges as one of the most promising Te-free thermoelectric materials due to its strong anharmonicity and multiple valence bands structure.Recently,compositing has been proven effective in optimizing thermoelectric performance of various metal chalcogenides.Herein,a series of Sn Se-x Cu_(2)S(x=0,0.5%,1%,3%,5%)materials have been fabricated via solution synthesis,particle blending,and spark plasma sintering in sequence.After incorporating Cu_(2)S,the materials become Sn Se based composites with Cu doping,S substitution and Cu_(2)Sn Se_(3)secondary phase.We elucidate that the power factor of polycrystalline Sn Se can be tuned and enhanced at varied temperature ranges through adjusting the addition amount of Cu_(2)S.Additionally,the composites achieve suppressed lattice thermal conductivity when compared to Sn Se itself,as the introduced point defects and Sn Se/Cu_(2)Sn Se_(3)interfaces intensify phonon scattering.Consequently,Sn Se-0.5%Cu_(2)S and Sn Se-3%Cu_(2)S achieve a peak z T of 0.70 at 830 K(intermediate temperature range)and a highly increased z T of 0.28 at 473 K(low temperature range),respectively,which are~130%and 200%of values reached by Sn Se at the corresponding temperatures.The study demonstrates that our approach,which combines compositing with elemental doping and substitution,is effective in optimizing the thermoelectric performance of Sn Se at varied temperature ranges. | Yao Chen Jie Chen Bin Zhang Meiling Yang Xiaofang Liu Hengyang Wang Lei Yang Guoyu Wang Guang Han Xiaoyuan Zhou | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,19: | 0 |
