| 1 | First ceratopsid dinosaur from China and its biogeographical implications显示文摘Ceratopsid dinosaurs represent one of the best known dinosaur groups in the Late Cretaceous, and their unquestionable fossil re-cords are exclusively restricted to western North America.Here we report a new ceratopsid dinosaur, Sinoceratops zhuchengensis gen.et sp.nov., from the Upper Cretaceous Wangshi Group of Zhucheng, Shandong Province, China.Cladistic analysis places this new taxon as the only known ceratopsid from outside North America, in a basal position within the Centrosaurinae.It is con-siderably larger than most other centrosaurines but similar in size to basal chasmosaurines.Furthermore, it is more similar to chasmosaurines than to other centrosaurines in several features, thus blurring the distinction of the two ceratopsid subgroups.This new find not only provides significant information on the morphological transition from non-ceratopsid to ceratopsid dinosaurs, but also complicates the biogeography of the Ceratopsidae, and further demonstrates that fossil sampling has profound effects on reconstructing dinosaurian biogeography. | XU Xing WANG KeBai ZHAO XiJin LI DunJing | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,16: | 18 |

| 4 | EXPLORING ON-LINE SOCIETAL RISK PERCEPTION FOR HARMONIOUS SOCIETY MEASUREMENT显示文摘The nearly 30-year economic growth miracle brings the consequent tremendous poor-rich gap leading strong drives for social transformation in current China.Chinese top leaders have realized to increase the peoples' income,improve quality of life and construct a 'harmonious society' as key missions especially in recent 10 years.How to measure a harmonious society is one important topic as different measures may lead to different development policies.This paper outlines over 10 indices relevant to measure a harmonious society.Some are global indicators,while some are contributed by domestic researchers and arouse debates.Most of those indicators require conducting surveys on social attitudes under micro levels,which is always time consuming with problem of data quality.As Internet technology advances provide ways to record and disseminate fresh community ideas and thoughts conveniently,detecting topics or emotions from on-line public opinions is becoming a trend or one supplement way to overcome those data acquisition problems.This paper discusses one approach to on-line societal risk perception using hot search words and BBS posts.Such a trial aims to provide another way to societal risk perception different from those in traditional socio psychology studies. Xuanhuaceratops shares a number of derived features with, and is closely related to, another probable Late Juarassic ceratopsian Chaoyangsaurus youngi, from which it differs in only possessing a single premaxillary tooth as well as in details of quadrate and scapular morphology. | 6 | A New Titanosaurian Sauropod from Late Cretaceous of Nei Mongol, China显示文摘A specimen collected from the Upper Cretaceous Erlian Formation of Nei Mongol (Inner Mongolia), China, represents a new genus and species of titanosaurian sauropod. The new taxon is named and described on the basis of the holotype and the only known specimen, which comprises several dorsal, sacral, and caudal vertebrae, several dorsal ribs, one anterior chevron, and much of the pelvis. Diagnostic features of the new species include a thick ridge extending down from the postzygapophysis on the lateral surface of the neural arch of the posterior dorsal vertebrae, a transversely oriented accessory lamina present between the anterior centroparapophyseal limina and the lateral centraprezygapophyseal lamina of the posterior dorsal vertebrae, long, anteroventrally directed caudal rib that bears two distinctive fossae on its posterior margin on the anterior caudal vertebrae and a prominent vertical ridge above the pubic peduncle on the medial surface of the ilium, among others. The ilium is pneumatic, a feature not common among non-avian dinosaurs. The new taxon has an unusual combination of primitive and derived character states. Preliminary character analysis shows a complex character distribution within the Titanosauriformes. | 8 | Constructing highly dispersed 0D Co3S4 quantum dots/2D g-C3N4 nanosheets nanocomposites for excellent photocatalytic performance显示文摘The development of noble-metal-free catalysts with high efficiency photocatalytic properties is critical to the heterogeneous catalysis. Herein, zero-dimensional(0 D) metal sulfide quantum dots/two-dimensional(2 D) g-C3N4 nanosheets(Co3S4/CNNS) nanocomposites are synthesized by a two-step method, including the ways of in-situ deposition and water bath. The highly dispersed Co3S4 quantum dots(particle size is2–4 nm) are evenly and tightly fixed on CNNS, which can be used as co-catalyst to effectively replace noble metals to improve the photocatalytic properties of CNNS. Co3S4/CNNS-900 has the apparent quantum efficiency, which is up to 7.85% at 400 nm. At the same time, the H2 evolution rate of Co3S4/CNNS-900 is 20,536.4 lmol gà1 hà1, which is 555 times than CNNS. The core/shell nanoarchitectures directly served as the binder-free electrode with a superior capacity of 295.6 mAh g^(-1) at 1 Ag^(-1), which still maintained 220 mAh g^(-1) even at the high current density of 40 Ag^(-1), manifesting their enormous potential in hybrid supercapacitor devices. The asassembled CuCo_2O_4@Ni_(0.5)Co_(0.5)(OH)_2//AC hybrid supercapacitor device exhibited favorable properties with the specific capacitance as high as 90 Fg^(-1) at 1 Ag^(-1) and the high energy density of 32 Wh kg^(-1) at the power density of 800 Wkg^(-1). | 15 | Enhanced photocatalytic activity of quantum-dot-sensitized one-dimensionally-ordered ZnO nanorod photocatalyst显示文摘An efcient photocatalyst was fabricated by assembling quantum dots(QDs) onto one-dimensionally-ordered ZnO nanorods, and the photocatalytic properties for Methyl Orange degradation were investigated by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray difraction, UV-Vis-NIR absorption spectroscopy and photoluminescence. The results indicate that the catalyst with assembled QDs is more favorable for the degradation than the pristine ZnO nanorods. The QDs with core-shell structure lower the photocatalytic ability due to the higher carrier transport barrier of the ZnS shell layer. Besides its degradation efciency, the photocatalyst has several advantages given that the one-dimensionally-ordered ZnO nanorods have been grown directly on indium tin oxide substrates. | 16 | Aquaporin 5 is degraded by autophagy in diabetic submandibular gland显示文摘Autophagy is a catabolic process which is involved in the development of many diseases including diabetes mellitus and its complications. Hyposalivation is a common complication of diabetes mellitus, whereas its mechanism remains unclear. Here, we observed that the stimulated salivary flow rate of SMG was significantly decreased in db/db mice, a diabetic mice model. The expressions of aquaporin 5(AQP5), a water channel protein, were decreased, whereas the m RNA level of AQP5 was increased in SMGs of both diabetic patients and mice. Under transmission electron microcope, more autophagosomes were detected in diabetic SMGs. Expressions of autophagy related proteins LC3 II, Beclin-1 and ATG5 were increased, meanwhile autophagy substrate p62 was decreased in SMGs of diabetic patients and mice, indicating that autophagy was activated in diabetic SMG.Double immunofluorescence staining showed that the colocalization of AQP5 and LC3 was increased in SMGs of diabetic mice.In cultured SMG-C6 cells, high glucose(HG), but not high osmotic pressure, reduced AQP5 protein expression and induced autophagy. Moreover, inhibition of autophagy by 3-methyladenin, an autophagy inhibitor, or by autophagy-related gene 5 siRNA, decreased HG-induced AQP5 reduction in SMG-C6 cells. Additionally, the expression of p-p85, p-Akt and p-mTOR were decreased in HG-treated SMG-C6 cells. Pretreatment with 740 Y-P, a PI3 K agonist, significantly suppressed HG-induced autophagy and AQP5 degradation. Taken together, these results indicate that autophagy plays a crucial role in AQP5 degradation in diabetic SMG via PI3 K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway, which contributes to the dysfunction of diabetic SMG. | 19 | The cost of obsessive- compulsive disorder (OCD) in China: a multi- center cross- sectional survey based on hospitals显示文摘Background Obsessive-compulsive disorder(OCD)is considered a very debilitating disorder with severe loss of quality of life and income.Aims This study estimates the quality of life and economic consequences of OCD in China.Methods The research team interviewed 639 patients with OCD in 13 hospitals in 12 cities in China.The direct method was used to get the direct cost of OCD.Indirect costs associated with OCD were estimated using the human capital approach.Linear regression analysis was conducted for quality of life and generalised linear model analysis was conducted for total cost.Sensitivity analysis was used to analyse the uncertainty of total cost.Results The mean quality of life score for OCD was 52.78(20.46).The annual total cost of OCD per capita was 24503.78(95%CI:22621.53 to 26386.03)renminbi(RMB)(US$3465.88(95%CI:US$3199.65 to US$3732.11)).The annual cost of OCD in China was estimated to be 37.74 billion(95%CI:34.95 billion to 40.53 billion)RMB(equal to US$5.34 billion(95%CI:US$4.94 billion to US$5.73 billion)).Sensitivity analysis showed that the total annual cost of OCD in China was between 23.15 billion RMB(US$3.27 billion)and 370.00 billion RMB(US$52.33 billion).Worse social function status,more psychiatric symptoms and higher Yale Brown Obsessive-Compulsive Scale(Y-BOCS)score were associated with worse quality of life.The numbers of clinic visits and hospitalisations,socioeconomic status,education,Y-BOCS scores and age were found to be significantly associated with total cost.Conclusions OCD is associated with low quality of life and high costs in China.The findings call for concerted efforts to improve services for patients with OCD.Improvements may include early detection and diagnosis,the provision of evidence-based treatments and relapse prevention strategies. | Weili Yang Zhen Tang Xijin Wang Xiancang Ma Yuqi Cheng Bin Wang Ping Sun Wenxin Tang Jia Luo Changhong Wang Ping Li Guiyun Xu Jun Yan Vlasios Brakoulias Zhen Wang | 2021 | General Psychiatry2021,34,6: | 3 |
