| 1 | The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. It has particular advantages in structural characterization of materials on the atomic or molecular scale. Synchrotron radiation X-ray powder diffraction(SR-XRPD) has been successfully exploited to various areas of hydrogen storage materials. In the paper, we will give a brief introduction on hydrogen storage materials, X-ray powder diffraction(XRPD), and synchrotron radiation light source. The applications of ex situ and in situ time-resolved SR-XRPD in hydrogen storage materials, are reviewed in detail. | 8 | The top cited articles on glioma stem cells in Web of Science显示文摘BACKGROUND: Glioma is the most common intracranial tumor and has a poor patient prognosis. The presence of brain tumor stem cells was gradually being understood and recognized, which might be beneficial for the treatment of glioma. OBJECTIVE: To use bibliometric indexes to track study focuses on glioma stem cell, and to investigate the relationships among geographic origin, impact factors, and highly cited articles indexed in Web of Science. METHODS: A list of citation classics for glioma stem cells was generated by searching the database of Web of Science-Expanded using the terms 'glioma stem cell' or 'glioma, stem cell'' or 'brain tumor stem cell'. The top 63 cited research articles which were cited more than 100 times were retrieved by reading the abstract or full text if needed. Each eligible article was reviewed for basic information on subject categories, country of origin, journals, authors, and source of journals. Inclusive criteria: (1) articles in the field of glioma stem cells which was cited more than 100 times; (2) fundamental research on humans or animals, clinical trials and case reports; (3) research article; (4) year of publication: 1899-2012; and (5) citation database: Science Citation Index-Expanded. Exclusive criteria: (1) articles needing to be manually searched or accessed only by telephone; (2) unpublished articles; and (3) reviews, conference proceedings, as well as corrected papers. RESULTS: Of 2 040 articles published, the 63 top-cited articles were published between 1992 and 2010. The number of citations ranged from 100 to 1 754, with a mean of 280 citations per article. These citation classics came from nineteen countries, of which 46 articles came from the United States. Duke University and University of California, San Francisco led the list of classics with seven papers each. The 63 top-cited articles were published in 28 journals, predominantly Cancer Research and Cancer Cell, followed by Cell Stem Cell and Nature. CONCLUSION: Our bibliometric analysis provides a historical perspective on the progress of glioma stem cell research. | 10 | Improvement in hydrogen storage performance of Mg by mechanical grinding with molten salt etching Ti_(3)C_(2)Cl_(x)显示文摘Mg-based materials are currently a hot research topic as hydrogen storage materials due to their considerable theoretical hydrogen storage capacity.However,the kinetic performance of hydrogen absorption and desorption of Mg is too slow and requires high temperature,which seriously hinders the application of this material.MXene is a new type of two-dimensional material with significant role in improving thermodynamics and kinetics.In this experiment,a two-dimensional layered MXene containing Cl functional group was prepared by molten salt etching using the Ti-containing MAX phase as the raw material.Then different ratios of Ti_(3)C_(2)Cl_(x) were uniformly dispersed onto the surface of Mg by high energy ball milling.The samples were characterized by hydrogen absorption and desorption kinetics,SEM,XRD,XPS,and DSC to investigate the effect of Ti_(3)C_(2)Cl_(x) on the hydrogen absorption and desorption performance of Mg.The onset hydrogen absorption temperature can be reduced to room temperature and the hydrogen release temperature is reduced by 200℃ by doping Ti_(3)C_(2)Cl_(x).And there is also 5.4wt%hydrogen storage in the isothermal hydrogen absorption test at 400℃.The results of DSC demonstrate that the Ea of Mg+15wt%Ti_(3)C_(2)Cl_(x) was reduced by 12.6%compared to pristine Mg.TheΔH is almost invariable.The results of XPS show that the presence of multivalent Ti promotes electron transfer and thus improves the conversion between Mg^(2+)/Mg and H^(−)/H.This study provides a guideline for further improving the hydrogen absorption and desorption performance of Mg-based hydrogen storage materials. | Shuaicheng Hu Lijun Lv Guo Yang Wei Liu Hong Miao Honghui Cheng Xingbo Han Zifeng Lin | 2023 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2023,33,2: | 0 |
| 11 | Mechanism and preventive measures of slurry leakage at shield tail brushes under abnormal shutdown condition—A case study显示文摘Based on an underwater shield tunnel project,this study introduces the phenomenon of abnormal shutdown and the measures designed to mitigate problems in construction.On the strength of the analysis of the slurry leakage causes during re-tunneling,the mech-anism of slurry leakage induced by jack retraction was studied,and treatment measures of leakage at shield tail brushes were elaborated upon.The results show that the sudden change of stratum leads to an abnormal shutdown,and a sharp increase in the slurry pressure at the shield cut location leads to the slurry penetrating the gap between the outer wall of the shield shell and the soil,increasing the risk of instantaneous breakdown at shield tail brushes.The radial displacement of the outer wall of the segments caused by retractions of three jacks and a single jack along the circumferential direction distinctly shows three regions and four regions,respectively.The radial shrink-age of the outer wall of the segments at the jack retraction position decreases the tightness between the shield tail brushes and the outer wall of the segments.The expansion of the outer wall of the segments at the surrounding position,especially at the lower position,increases the slurry level to the radial shrinkage position of the segments,which increases the risk of slurry leakage.Furthermore,when the shield machine faces an abnormal shutdown,re-tunneling,and assembly of segments,the jack can be gradually retracted from top to bottom.The slurry leakage degree can be observed when retracting,and the corresponding measures can be taken for timely plugging.According to the leakage degree,it can be determined whether to replace the shield tail brushes to reduce the risk of large-scale leakage accidents. | Fei Ye Haolan Feng Xingbo Han Xiaoming Liang Haidong Sun Wenjun Zhang Xiaoyong Cao | 2023 | Underground Space2023,,1: | 0 |
| 12 | Hydrogen storage performance of LaNi_(3.95)Al_(0.75)Co_(0.3) alloy with different preparation methods显示文摘Rare-earth AB5-type La–Ni–Al hydrogen storage alloys are widely studied due to their extensive application potentials in hydrogen isotope storage,hydrogen isotope isolation and hydrogen compressors,etc.Good hydriding/dehydriding kinetics,easily activation,high reversibility are important factors for their practical application.However,their overall hydrogen storage performance,especially plateau pressure and hydrogen absorption/desorption durability need to be further optimized.In this study,the microstructures and the hydrogen storage properties of as-cast,annealed,and melt-spun LaNi_(3.95)Al_(0.75)Co_(0.3) alloys were investigated.The experimental results of XRD and SEM showed that all alloys contained a pure CaCu5 type hexagonal structure LaNi_(4)Al phase.The cell volume increased in an order of annealed>melt-spun>as-cast,resulting in a lower hydrogen absorption/desorption plateau pressure and a more stable hydride phase.The hydrogen storage capacity of three alloys was almost the same.The slope factor of the annealed and melt-spun alloys is smaller than the as-cast alloy,indicating that heat-treatment process can make the alloys more uniform.For the cycle stability of the alloys,the hydrogen absorption rate of the annealed alloy and melt-spun alloy was much faster than that of the as-cast alloy after 500 cycles.The melt-spun alloy showed high pulverization resistance during hydrogen absorption/desorption,and exhibited an excellent cycling retention of 99%after 500 cycles,suggesting that melt-spinning process can enhance the cycle stability and improve the cycle life of the alloy. | Lijun Lv Jian Lin Guo Yang Zhaowei Ma Linhua Xu Xiujie He Xingbo Han Wei Liu | 2022 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2022,32,2: | 0 |
