1Infrared and Visible Image Fusion Based on Blur Suppression Generative Adversarial Network显示文摘The key to multi-sensor image fusion is the fusion of infrared and visible images.Fusion of infrared and visible images with generative adversarial network(GAN)has great advantages in automatic feature extraction and subjective vision improvement.Due to different principle between infrared and visible imaging,the blur phenomenon of edge and texture is caused in the fusion result of GAN.For this purpose,this paper conducts a novel generative adversarial network with blur suppression.Specifically,the generator uses the residual-in-residual dense block with switchable normalization layer as the elemental network block to retain the infrared intensity and the fused image textural details and avoid fusion artifacts.Furthermore,we design an anti-blur loss function based on Weber local descriptor.Finally,numerous experiments are performed qualitatively and quantitatively on public datasets.Results justify that the proposed method can be used to produce a fusion image with sharp edge and clear texture.YI Shi LIU Xi LI Li CHENG Xinghao WANG Cheng 2023Chinese Journal of Electronics2023,32,1:3
2MicroRNAs Are Involved in Maize Immunity Against Fusarium verticillioides Ear Rot显示文摘Fusarium ear rot(FER)caused by Fusarium verticillioides is one of the most common diseases affecting maize production worldwide.FER results in severe yield losses and grain contamination with health-threatening mycotoxins.Although most studies to date have focused on comprehensive analysis of gene regulation in maize during defense responses against F.verticillioides infection,less is known about the role of micro RNAs(mi RNAs)in this process.We used deep sequencing to compare small RNA libraries from the maize kernels of susceptible(N6)or resistant(BT-1)inbred lines from uninfected plants and upon F.verticillioides infection.We found that pathogen exposure was accompanied by dynamic alterations in expression levels of multiple mi RNAs,including new members of previously annotated mi RNA families.A combination of transcriptomic,degradomic,and bioinformatics analyses revealed that F.verticillioides-responsive mi RNAs and their potential target genes displayed opposite expression patterns in the susceptible and resistant genotypes.Functional category analysis uncovered preferential enrichment of the pathogen-responsive mi RNAs and their targets in the phenylpropanoid metabolic processes,plant–pathogen interactions,and plant phytohormone signal transduction pathways.Furthermore,transgenic maize plants overexpressing mi R408 b exhibited reduced resistance to F.verticillioides infection in a susceptible maize line.These findings provide new insights into the regulatory roles of mi RNAs in maize immunity against FER and new resources for breeding disease resistance into maize.Zijian Zhou Yan Cao Tao Li Xinghao Wang Jiafa Chen Hang He Wen Yao Jianyu Wu Huiyong Zhang 2020Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2020,18,3:3
3Lactate anions participate in T cell cytokine production and function显示文摘After antigen stimulation, T cells preferentially increase aerobic glycolysis to meet the bioenergetic and biosynthetic demands of T cell activation, proliferation, and effector functions. Lactate, a by-product of glycolysis, has been reported to function as an important energy source and signaling molecule. Here, we found that lactate anions are involved in cytokine production in Tcells after TCR activation. During ex vivo T cell activation, the addition of excess sodium lactate(Na L) increased the production of cytokines(such as IFNγ/IL-2/TNFα) more than the addition of sodium chloride(NaCl). This enhanced cytokine production was dependent on TCR/CD3 activation but not CD28 activation. In vivo, Na L treatment inhibited tumour growth in subcutaneously transplanted tumour models in a T cell-dependent manner, which was consistent with increased T cell cytokine production in the Na L treatment group compared to the Na Cl treatment group. Furthermore, a mechanistic experiment showed that this enhanced cytokine production was regulated by GAPDH-mediated post-transcriptional regulation. 4AaWRKY17, a positive regulator of artemisinin biosynthesis, is involved in resistance to Pseudomonas syringae in Artemisia annua显示文摘Artemisia annua,a traditional Chinese medicinal plant,remains the only plant source for artemisinin production,yet few genes have been identified to be involved in both the response to biotic stresses,such as pathogens,and artemisinin biosynthesis.Here,we isolated and identified the WRKY transcription factor(TF)AaWRKY17,which could significantly increase the artemisinin content and resistance to Pseudomonas syringae in A.annua.Yeast one-hybrid(Y1H),dual-luciferase(dual-LUC),and electrophoretic mobility shift assay(EMSA)results showed that AaWRKY17 directly bound to the W-box motifs in the promoter region of the artemisinin biosynthetic pathway gene amorpha-4,11-diene synthase(ADS)and promoted its expression.Real-time quantitative PCR(RT-qPCR)analysis revealed that the transcript levels of two defense marker genes,Pathogenesis-Related 5(PR5)and NDR1/HIN1-LIKE 10(NHL10),were greatly increased in AaWRKY17-overexpressing transgenic A.annua plants.Additionally,overexpression of AaWRKY17 in A.annua resulted in decreased susceptibility to P.syringae.These results indicated that AaWRKY17 acted as a positive regulator in response to P.syringae infection.Together,our findings demonstrated that the novel WRKY transcription factor AaWRKY17 could potentially be used in transgenic breeding to improve the content of artemisinin and pathogen tolerance in A.annua.Tiantian Chen Yongpeng Li Lihui Xie Xiaolong Hao Hang Liu Wei Qin Chen Wang Xin Yan Kuanyu Wu-Zhang Xinghao Yao Bowen Peng Yaojie Zhang Xueqing Fu Ling Li Kexuan Tang 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:2

7Plugging behaviors of temporary plugging particles in hydraulic fractures显示文摘Using the visualized experimental device of temporary plugging in hydraulic fractures, the plugging behaviors of temporary plugging particles with different sizes and concentrations in hydraulic fractures were experimentally analyzed under the conditions of different carrier fluid displacements and viscosities. The results show that the greater the carrier fluid viscosity and displacement, the more difficult it is to form a plugging layer, and that the larger the size and concentration of the temporary plugging particle, the less difficult it is to form a plugging layer. When the ratio of particle size to fracture width is 0.45, the formation of the plugging layer is mainly controlled by the mass concentration of the temporary plugging particle and the viscosity of the carrier fluid, and a stable plugging layer cannot form if the mass concentration of the temporary plugging particle is less than 20 kg/m^(3)or the viscosity of the carrier fluid is greater than 3 mPa·s. When the ratio of particle size to fracture width is 0.60, the formation of the plugging layer is mainly controlled by the mass concentration of the temporary plugging particle, and a stable plugging layer cannot form if the mass concentration of the temporary plugging particle is less than 10 kg/m^(3). When the ratio of particle size to fracture width is 0.75, the formation of the plugging layer is basically not affected by other parameters, and a stable plugging layer can form within the experimental conditions. The formation process of plugging layer includes two stages and four modes. 8Hierarchically Porous Biomass Carbon Derived from Orange Peel for Atomically Dispersed Co-N-C Sites Toward Advanced Oxygen Reduction Reaction显示文摘Use of the transition-metal single atomsupported by carbon is an innovative technique that enhances the electrocatalytic behavior of the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)for Zn-air batteries(ZABs).Yet,building such catalysts with stable and efficient electron/mass transport pathways,as well as high catalytic activity and stability remains a critical challenge.Here,we develop a hierarchically porous biomass carbon to anchor atomically dispersed Co atoms,simultaneously addressing the active sites’emergence and stability,and electron/mass transit.The optimum catalyst achieves fabulous electrocatalytic behavior with a half-wave potential of 0.82 V for ORR.More impressively,the ZAB with its well-tailored catalyst exhibits extraordinary combined performance,including a high zenith power density of 139.89mW·cm^(−2),outstanding specific capacity,and remarkable rate durability.This rational design strategy can be applied to create high-efficiency and inexpensive electrocatalysts for sustainable energy conversion and storage devices.Hui Wang Xinghao Zhang Xiaohui Li Yutong Li Debin Kong Zhiyuan Zhen Lina Geng Linjie Zhi Zhongtao Li 2023Renewables2023,1,3:0
9Coiled Polymer Artificial Muscles Having Dual-Mode Actuation with Large Stress Generation显示文摘Coiled polymer artificial muscles with both large tensile stroke and giant force generation are needed for practical applications in robotics,soft exosuits,and prosthesis.However,most polymer yarn artificial muscles cannot generate a large force or stress.Here,we report an inexpensive Twisted and Coiled Polymer artificial muscle(TCP)that performs both large isobaric and isometric contractions.This TCP can generate a tensile stroke of 20.1%and a specific work capacity of up to 1.3 kJ kg^(−1) during temperature changes from 20 to 180℃.Moreover,the nylon yarn artificial muscle produced a reversible output stress of 28.4 MPa,which is 100 times larger than human skeletal muscle.A robot arm and a simple gripper were made to demonstrate the isobaric actuation and isometric actuation of our TCP muscle,repectivley.Thus,the polymer artificial muscles with dual-mode actuation show potential applications in the field of robotics,grippers,and exoskeletons and so on.Xinghao Hu Runmin Liu Kai Zhao Yilun Wang Xianfu Bao Lin Xu Guanggui Cheng Jianning Ding 2023Journal of Bionic Engineering2023,20,4:0
10Common offset ground penetrating radar data inversion based on ray theory显示文摘The authors use the common offset ground penetrating radar(GPR)data inversion based on ray theory to estimate interval velocity and to obtain the relative permittivity.In the ray-tracing based inversion,the input data are the offset distance between antennas,the velocity of the first layer,the pick-up amplitude and re-ference amplitude of each reflection layer.The thickness and velocity of each layer are calculated by this recursive method.Firstly,the horizontal homogeneous layered medium model is established,and the ideal inversion results are obtained.Subsequently,Monte Carlo method is used to establish a randomly undulating homogeneous layered medium model.The common offset GPR data for the built geological model is then simulated by finite-difference time-domain(FDTD).It proved that this ray-tracing based inversion method is feasible for the horizontal layered geological model,even the layered geological model with random undulation.Undulation,represented by RMS height and CL(correlation length),influences the inversion results.Finally,a more complex geological model--pinch-out model was established.In the pinch-out model,the pinch-out interface can be clearly identified,though there is a false anomaly,which will not significantly affect the identification of the underground medium structure.XUE Meiqi LIU Sixin LU Qi LI Hongqing WANG Yuanxin CHANG Xinghao RAN Limin ZHAO Yonggang LI Jianwei 2021Global Geology2021,24,2:0
11LncRNAs unraveling their sponge role in glioblastoma and potential therapeutic applications显示文摘Glioblastoma multiforme(GBM),the most common and aggressive primary brain tumor in adults,is the most malignant and still has no cure.However,the novel role of long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)in the pathogenesis of glioblastoma is attracting extensive attention.LncRNAs are transcribed RNA molecules over 200 nucleotides long that do not encode proteins.Unlike small non-coding RNAs,such as microRNAs(miRNAs),lncRNAs have more complex secondary and tertiary structures that enable them to interact with DNA,RNA,and proteins and perform multiple regulatory functions.LncRNAs act as molecular sponges,absorbing and sequestering other biomolecules,particularly miRNAs,thereby preventing these molecules from performing their normal functions.LncRNAs influence glioblastoma through gene expression regulation,molecular sponge capacity,epigenetic modulation,and signaling pathway interactions.In glioblastoma,a large number of lncRNAs have been found to be abnormally expressed,affecting tumor growth,invasion and resistance to treatment.Due to its regulatory role and disease-specific expression patterns,lncRNA has become a potential biomarker for glioblastoma and a promising new therapeutic target.This paper discusses the spongy role of lncRNAs in glioblastoma and its potential therapeutic applications,which will lay a foundation for our understanding of glioblastoma biology and the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies in the future.CAIJUAN LIU XINGHAO LI YUXUAN WU JINHUI YANG MENGHAN WANG YUNQI MA 2024BIOCELL2024,48,3:0
12Study on operation voltage monitoring and electrothermal coupling simulation of electric multiple unit(EMU)roof arrester显示文摘The roof arrester of electric multiple units(EMU)can efficiently limit the overvoltage,and ensure the safe operation of the EMU electrical equipment.In the process of high‐speed operation,the traction power supply system is often affected by overvoltage.In addition,roof arrester explosion accidents occasionally occur.In this paper,the on‐line voltage measurement system of the EMU arrester is developed.By analysing a large number of voltage waveforms,the abnormal voltage is divided into three categories:over‐phase voltage,high harmonic voltage and steep impulse overvoltage.The charac-teristics of abnormal voltage waveforms are then summarised.The electrothermal coupling simulation model of the arrester is developed,and the current response and temperature distribution of the arrester under abnormal voltage are calculated.The impact of the impulse voltage energy on the arrester temperature is studied by applying a triangular wave voltage to the model.Finally,some suggestions are proposed for the operation and maintenance of the roof arrester.Qizhe Zhang Shenghui Wang Kaixuan Sun Xinghao Dong Mingliang Liu Fangcheng Lü 2022High Voltage2022,7,2:0
