| 2 | Enhanced hydrogen evolution reaction over molybdenum carbide nanoparticles confined inside single-walled carbon nanotubes显示文摘Carbon nanotubes(CNTs) have shown as unique nanoreactors to tune the catalytic activity of confined nano-catalysts. Here we report that the catalytic performance of molybdenum carbide nanoparticles(MoC_x NPs) for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) process can be enhanced by encapsulation within single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWNTs) with a diameter of 1–2 nm. The catalyst with MoC_x NPs located on the interior surface of SWNTs(MoCx@SWNTs) exhibits a lower onset over-potential and a smaller Tafel slope than the one with MoC_x NPs attached on the exterior surface(MoCx/SWNTs). This is likely attributed to the much smaller particle size and the more reduced states of the confined MoC_x NPs, as well as the larger specific surface area of MoCx@SWNTs compared with Mo Cx/SWNTs. In addition, the electronic structure of the confined MoC_x NPs might be modified by the confinement effects of SWNTs, and hence the adsorption free energy of H atoms on the confined MoC_x NPs, which could also contribute to their higher performance. | 4 | The effect of Al3+ coordination structure on the propane dehydrogenation activity of Pt/Ga/Al2O3 catalysts显示文摘The effect of the Al2O3 structure on the performance of Pt/Ga/Al2O3 catalysts is investigated for the direct dehydrogenation of propane. The study unveils that the structure of Al3+determines the bulk structure of catalysts, particularly a high content of coordinatively unsaturated Al3+sites(penta-coordinated Al3+,denoted as Al3+penta) could lead to a remarkably improved dehydrogenation activity of the catalyst. The bulk characterization reveals that the sufficient amount of Al3+pentain Al2O3 benefit the dispersion of Pt and Ga2O3 on the Al2O3 support. At the same time, TPR results reveal that the presence of Pt facilitates the reduction of Ga2O3, likely due to the hydrogen spillover between the well dispersed Pt and Ga2O3,which consequently enhances the synergistic function between Pt and Ga2O3 in the dehydrogenation of propane. | 6 | A highly active and stable Pd/B-doped carbon catalyst for the hydrogenation of 4-carboxybenzaldehyde显示文摘Boron had been introduced into the structure of carbon material(BC), which was used as the support of Pd catalyst for hydrogenation of 4-carboxybenzaldehyde(4-CBA). The physical properties and chemical composition of the support and corresponding catalyst were characterized by N2 adsorption–desorption,Raman spectroscopy, inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy(ICP-OES), element analysis(EA), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM), CO-pulse chemisorption and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). | 8 | GaN-based ultraviolet microdisk laser diode grown on Si显示文摘This work reports a demonstration of electrically injected GaN-based near-ultraviolet microdisk laser diodes with a lasing wavelength of 386.3 nm at room temperature. The crack-free laser structure was epitaxially grown on Si substrates using an Al-composed down-graded Al N/AlGaN multilayer buffer to mitigate the mismatches in the lattice constant and coefficient of thermal expansion, and processed into “sandwich-like” microdisk structures with a radius of 12 μm. Air-bridge electrodes were successfully fabricated to enable the device electrical characterization. | 9 | Small-animal SPECT/CT imaging of cancer xenografts and pulmonary fibrosis using a 99m Tc-labeled integrin ανβ6-targeting cyclic peptide with improved in vivo stability显示文摘Integrin ανβ6 is expressed at an undetectable level in normal tissues,but is remarkably upregulated during many pathological processes,especially in cancer and fibrosis.Noninvasive imaging of integrin ανβ6 expression using a radiotracer with favorable in vivo pharmacokinetics would facilitate disease diagnosis and therapy monitoring.Through disulfide-cyclized method,we synthesized in this study,a new integrin ανβ6-targeted cyclic peptide (denoted as cHK),and radiolabeled it with 99mTc.The ability of the resulting radiotracer 99mTc-HYNIC-cHK to detect integrin ανβ6 expression in pancreatic cancer xenograffs and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis was evaluated using small-animal single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT)/computed tomography (CT).99mTc-HYNIC-cHK showed significantly improved in vivo metabolic stability compared to the linear peptide-based radiotracer 99mTc-HYNICHK.99mTc-HYNIC-cHK exhibited similar biodistribution properties to 99mTc-HYNIC-HK,but the tumorto-muscle ratio was significantly increased (2.99±0.87 vs.1.82±0.27,P <0.05).High-contrast images of integrin ανβ6-positive tumors and bleomycin-induced fibrotic lungs were obtained by SPECT/CT imaging using 99mTc-HYNIC-cHK.Overall,our studies demonstrate that 99mTc-HYNIC-cHK is a promising SPECT radiotracer for the noninya-sive imaging of integrin ανβ6 in living subjects. | Hao Liu Liquan Gao Xinhe Yu Lijun Zhong Jiyun Shi Bing Jia Nan Li Zhaofei Liu Fan Wang | 2018 | Biophysics Reports2018,4,5: | 0 |
