1Properties of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Husk Fibers With Chemical Treatment for Applications in Polymer Composites显示文摘Surface science of natural fibers plays an important role in polymer/natural fiber composites. The Xanthoceras sorbifolia husk fibers were selected and chemically treated by sodium hydroxide(Na OH) solution,coupling agents,their combination,and the mixtures of acetic acid with hydrogen peroxide,respectively. 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane(KH550),γ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxylsilane(KH570) and organic titanate(JN-9A) were used as coupling agents in this work. Cellulose content was found to be increased after alkalization due to the removal of the non-cellulose substances,which was evidenced by attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared(ATR e FTIR) spectroscopy spectrum analysis and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) measurements. The highest cellulose content was obtained in the bleached fibers. TGA analysis revealed an improvement in thermal stability of the treated fibers,especially for alkali-KH570 treated fibers. 2Fine mapping of the awn gene on chromosome 4 in rice by association and linkage analyses显示文摘Awnness is a key trait in rice domestication, yet no studies have been conducted on fine mapping or association mapping of the rice awn gene. In this study, we investigated the awnness and genotype of a core collection of 303 cultivated rice varieties and a BC5F2 segregating population of 200 individuals. Combining association and linkage analyses, we mapped the awnness related genes to chromosome 4. Primary association analysis using 24 SSR markers revealed five loci significantly associated with awnness on chromosome 4. The associated markers cover previously identified regions. Fine association mapping was conducted using another 29 markers within a 4-Mb region, covering the associated marker in34, which is close to the awn gene Awn4.1. Seven associated markers were revealed, distributed over an 870-kb region. Combining the fine association mapping and linkage analysis of awnness in the 200 BC5F2 segregating population, we finally identified a 330-kb region as the candidate region for Awn4.1. 5Chromosome-level genomes of seeded and seedless date plum based on third-generation DNA sequencing and Hi-C analysis显示文摘Diospyros lotus L.(Date plum)is an important tree species that produces fruit with a high nutritional value.An accurate chromosomal assembly of a species facilitates research on chromosomal evolution and functional gene mapping.In this study,we assembled the first chromosome-level genomes of seeded and seedless D.lotus using Illumina short reads,PacBio long reads,and Hi-C technology.The assembled genomes comprising 15 chromosomes were 617.66 and 647.31 Mb in size,with a scaffold N50 of 40.72 and 42.67 Mb for the seedless and seeded D.lotus,respectively.A BUSCO analysis revealed that the seedless and seeded D.lotus genomes were 91.53% and 91.60%complete,respectively.Additionally,20,689(95.4%)and 22,844(98.5%)protein-coding genes in the seedless and seeded D.lotus genomes were annotated,respectively.Comparisons of the chromosomes between genomes revealed inversions and translocations on chromosome 8 and inversions on chromosome 11.We identified 490 and 424 gene families that expanded in the seedless and seeded D.lotus,respectively.The enriched pathways among these gene families included the estrogen signaling pathway,the MAPK signaling pathway,and biosynthetic pathways for flavonoids,monoterpenoids,and glucosinolates.Moreover,we constructed the first Diospyros genome database(http://www.persimmongenome.cn).On the basis of our data,we developed the first high-quality annotated D.lotus reference genomes,which will be useful for genomic studies on persimmon and for clarifying the molecular mechanisms underlying important traits.Comparisons between the seeded and seedless D.lotus genomes may also elucidate the molecular basis of seedlessness.Weitao Mao Guoxin Yao Shangde Wang Lei Zhou Guosong Chen Ningguang Dong Guanglong Hu 2021Forestry Research2021,1,1:1

11An improved bidirectional generative adversarial network model for multivariate estimation of correlated and imbalanced tunnel construction parameters显示文摘Estimation of construction parameters is crucial for optimizing tunnel construction schedule.Due to the influence of routine activities and occasional risk events,these parameters are usually correlated and imbalanced.To solve this issue,an improved bidirectional generative adversarial network(BiGAN)model with a joint discriminator structure and zero-centered gradient penalty(0-GP)is proposed.In this model,in order to improve the capability of original BiGAN in learning imbalanced parameters,the joint discriminator separately discriminates the routine activities and risk event durations to balance their influence weights.Then,the self-attention mechanism is embedded so that the discriminator can pay more attention to the imbalanced parameters.Finally,the 0-GP is adapted for the loss of the discrimi-nator to improve its convergence and stability.A case study of a tunnel in China shows that the improved BiGAN can obtain parameter estimates consistent with the classical Gauss mixture model,without the need of tedious and complex correlation analysis.The proposed joint discriminator can increase the ability of BiGAN in estimating imbalanced construction parameters,and the 0-GP can ensure the stability and convergence of the model.Yao Xiao Jia Yu Guoxin Xu Dawei Tong Jiahao Yu Tuocheng Zeng 2023Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2023,15,7:0
