| 1 | A coupled convolutional neural network for small and densely clustered ship detection in SAR images显示文摘Ship detection from synthetic aperture radar(SAR) imagery plays a significant role in global marine surveillance. However, a desirable performance is rarely achieved when detecting small and densely clustered ship targets, and this problem is difficult to solve. Recently, convolutional neural networks(CNNs)have shown strong detection power in computer vision and are flexible in complex background conditions,whereas traditional methods have limited ability. However, CNNs struggle to detect small targets and densely clustered ones that exist widely in many SAR images. To address this problem while preserving the good properties for complex background conditions, we develop a coupled CNN for small and densely clustered SAR ship detection. The proposed method mainly consists of two subnetworks: an exhaustive ship proposal network(ESPN) for ship-like region generation from multiple layers with multiple receptive fields, and an accurate ship discrimination network(ASDN) for false alarm elimination by referring to the context information of each proposal generated by ESPN. The motivation in ESPN is to generate as many ship proposals as possible, and in ASDN, the goal is to obtain the final results accurately. Experiments are evaluated on two data sets. One is collected from 60 wide-swath Sentinel-1 images and the other is from20 GaoF en-3(GF-3) images. Both data sets contain many ships that are small and densely clustered. The quantitative comparison results illustrate the clear improvements of the new method in terms of average precision(AP) and F 1 score by 0.4028 and 0.3045 for the Sentinel-1 data set compared with the multi-step constant false alarm rate(CFAR-MS) method. The values are verified as 0.2033 and 0.1522 for the GF-3 data set. | 2 | Effect of Trace Sc and Zr on the Mechanical Properties and Microstructure of A1 Alloy 2618显示文摘An experimental 2618(Al-Cu-Mg-Fe-Ni) alloy added with trace Sc and Zr was prepared by ingot metallurgy (IM) method. The aging behavior of the alloy was studied by Vickers hardness measurement at 200℃ and 300℃. and the tensile properties of alloy specimens were measured at 20℃, 200℃, 250℃ and 300℃. The microstructure was observed by using optical microscope, SEM and TEM. It was found that the addition of Sc and Zr to 2618 alloy resulted in a primary Al3(Sc,Zr) phase which could refine the grain because it acts as nuclei of heterogeneous crystallization in the melt during solidification. The secondary Al3(Sc,Zr) particles were full coherent with matrix and had obvious precipitation hardening effect. They also made the S’ phase precipitate more homogeneous. So the strength of alloy increases at both ambient and elevated temperatures without a decrease of ductility. | 3 | Effect of trace Sc and Zr on aging behavior and tensile properties of 2618 alloy显示文摘The aging behavior of 2618 (Al Cu Mg Fe Ni) alloy added trace Sc and Zr was studied by Vicker’s hardness measurement at 200 and 300 ℃, and the tensile properties(yield strength, ultimate tensile strength and elongation) of alloys were measured at 20, 200, 250 and 300 ℃. The microstructures were observed by using optical microscope, SEM and TEM. It was found that the addition of Sc and Zr to 2618 alloy resulted in a uniform distribution of fine coherent Al 3(Sc,Zr) precipitates which had obvious aging hardening effect and made the S’ phase precipitate more homogeneously. The strength of alloy increased at ambient and elevated temperature without a decrease of ductility because of the precipitation strengthening and thermal stability of Al 3(Sc,Zr) particles. The ductile fracture of alloy occurred by microviod nucleation, growth and coalescence, so the microvoid coalescence was the dominant fracture mechanism. | 4 | Novel cued search strategy based on information gain for phased array radar显示文摘A search strategy based on the maximal information gain principle is presented for the cued search of phased array radars. First, the method for the determination of the cued search region, arrangement of beam positions, and the calculation of the prior probability distribution of each beam position is discussed. And then, two search algorithms based on information gain are proposed using Shannon entropy and Kullback-Leibler entropy, respectively. With the proposed strategy, the information gain of each beam position is predicted before the radar detection, and the observation is made in the beam position with the maximal information gain. | 8 | Ala-Gln improves varicocele-induced testicular injury by increasing HSP70 and antioxidant activity in male rats显示文摘This worked aimed to test the hypothesis that L-alanyl-L-glutamine(Ala-Gln)improves the varicocele-induced testicular injury,which causes male infertility.For this purpose,fifty adult male Wistar rats received the varicocele(VC)surgery at the left renal vein.Biomarkers were determined 2,4,and 8 weeks after VC(n=10/each detection).Four weeks after VC,rats received Ala-Gln(1.125 g/kg)treatment with and or saline for 1 week(n=10/each group).Rats in the sham group were also detected for biomarkers at 2,4,and 8 weeks(n=10/each detection).VC caused testicular injury detected by hematoxylin–eosin(H&E)staining,immunohistochemistry,and TUNEL assay.HSP70 mRNA was detected quantitative RT-PCR,SOD,and CAT by nitroblue tetrazolium(NBT)method and 8-OHDG by ELISA.The results showed that varicocele induced injury in the testes.The weight of the left testes was lower than that of the right testes in VC-bearing rats(p<0.01).The relative numbers of sustentacular and spermatogenic cells were decreased after VC(p<0.01).In sham-4 wk,VC-4wk,VC-5wk and Ala-Gln groups,the apoptosis index was 5.10±1.14,13.22±3.63,33.62±3.56 and 22.33±2.61,relative level of HSP70 mRNA 1.00±0.12,0.53±0.05,0.51±0.04 and 1.62±0.15 fold,SOD 16.4±0.23,13.4±0.17,10.01±1.06 and 19.53±2.26 U/mg protein,CAT 2.16±0.31,1.07±0.28,and 1.31±0.26 and 3.46±0.71 U/mg,8-OHDG 5.23±0.67,6.81±0.78,7.16±1.22 and 4.14±0.73 pg/μg DNA,respectively(p<0.01).Our results suggest that Ala-Gln prevented the VC-induced testicular injury.We have firstly reported that Ala-Gln protects against varicocele-induced testicular injuries by up-regulation of HSP70 and antioxidants,SOD and CAT,and down-regulation of oxidant 8-OHDG,resulting in reducing apoptosis in the testis. | LEI YU ZHEN FAN HONGQIANG WANG WENXIAN LI TAO JING QIANG LI SHENQIAN LI PEITAO WANG XUJUN XUAN | 2021 | BIOCELL2021,45,2: | 3 |
| 9 | Hippocampus is more vulnerable to neural damages induced by repeated sevoflurane exposure in the second trimester than other brain areas显示文摘During the rapidly developing and sensitive period of the central nervous system (CNS), a harmful stimulus may have serious consequences. The effect of anesthetic exposure on the development of the offspring’s CNS during pregnancy is still unclear and has been widely concerned. In the present study, we compared the susceptibility of the hippocampus with those of other brain regions in offsprings when the mother mice were exposed to repeated sevoflurane. We found that other than affecting motor sensation, emotion, or social behavior of offspring mice, repeated sevoflurane exposure induced significant memory deficiency. Compared with other brain regions, the hippocampus, which is the key component of the brain serving for learning and memory, was more vulnerable to repeated sevoflurane exposure. We also found that repeated sevoflurane exposure to mother mice could inhibit the axon development of hippocampal neurons. We also predicted that N6-methyladenosine modification of mRNA might play an essential role in the vulnerability of the hippocampus to sevoflurane, while the underlying cellular mechanism needs to be explored in the future. | 11 | Production,Properties and Microstructures of Mg-RE-Zn-Zr(RE=MM,Nd) Alloy显示文摘The Mg-MM and Mg-Nd master alloys were prepared through the ingot metallurgy method under the protection of a special flux. The thermodynamic behaviors of different rare earth elements in the molten Mg alloys were investigated.Two experimental alloys, Mg-3.0 wt pct MM-0.7 wt pct Zn-0.7 wt pct Zr and Mg-2.8 wt pct Nd-0.7 wt pct Zn0.7 wt pct Zr, were prepared. The hardness and tensile properties of experimental alloys were measured and the microstructures were observed. The results showed that the rare earth elements could react greatly with the Mg chloride in the flux. The Mg-Nd-Zn-Zr alloy displayed a good aging hardening effect. The dispersed metastable phase β' (Mg3Nd) is an important strengthening phase to improve the tensile properties of this alloy. So the Mg-Nd-Zn-Zr alloy has better tensile properties and elongation than those of the Mg-MM-Zn-Zr alloy, and the ductile fracture character could be observed. | 12 | HIGH RESOLUTION RANGE PROFILE FORMATION BASED ON LFM SIGNAL FUSION OF MULTIPLE RADARS显示文摘This paper presents a new method of High Resolution Range (HRR) profile formation based on Linear Frequency Modulation (LFM) signal fusion of multiple radars with multiple frequency bands. The principle of the multiple radars signal fusion improving the range resolution is analyzed. With the analysis of return signals received by two radars,it is derived that the phase difference between the echoes varies almost linearly with respect to the frequency if the distance between two radars is neg-ligible compared with the radar observation distance. To compensate the phase difference,an en-tropy-minimization principle based compensation algorithm is proposed. During the fusion process,the B-splines interpolation method is applied to resample the signals for Fourier transform imaging. | 13 | Single-cell RNA-sequencing reveals the dynamic process and novel markers in porcine spermatogenesis显示文摘Background:Spermatogenesis is the process by which male gametes are formed from spermatogonial stem cells and it is essential for the reliable transmission of genetic information between generations.To date,the dynamic transcriptional changes of defined populations of male germ cells in pigs have not been reported.Results:To characterize the atlas of porcine spermatogenesis,we profiled the transcriptomes of~16,966 testicular cells from a 150-day-old pig testis through single-cell RNA-sequencing(scRNA-seq).The scRNA-seq analysis identified spermatogonia,spermatocytes,spermatids and three somatic cell types in porcine testes.The functional enrichment analysis demonstrated that these cell types played diverse roles in porcine spermatogenesis.The accuracy of the defined porcine germ cell types was further validated by comparing the data from scRNA-seq with those from bulk RNA-seq.Since we delineated four distinct spermatogonial subsets,we further identified CD99 and PODXL2 as novel cell surface markers for undifferentiated and differentiating spermatogonia,respectively.Conclusions:The present study has for the first time analyzed the transcriptome of male germ cells and somatic cells in porcine testes through scRNA-seq.Four subsets of spermatogonia were identified and two novel cell surface markers were discovered,which would be helpful for studies on spermatogonial differentiation in pigs.The datasets offer valuable information on porcine spermatogenesis,and pave the way for identification of key molecular markers involved in development of male germ cells. | Lingkai Zhang Fuyuan Li Peipei Lei Ming Guo Ruifang Liu Ling Wang Taiyong Yu Yinghua Lv Tao Zhang Wenxian Zeng Hongzhao Lu Yi Zheng | 2022 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2022,13,2: | 2 |
