2Effects of dietary fiber on human health显示文摘Dietary fiber(DF)is believed to provide important health benefits and it has become a research hotspot.DF exists in most natural foods,including fruits(16.74%-91.24%),vegetables(6.53%-85.19%),grains(9.76%-69.20%)and so on.DF has different physicochemical properties such as water holding capacity(WHC)(2.01-25.03 g/g),water swelling capacity(WSC)(0.95-23.90 mL/g),oil holding capacity(OHC)(0.65-29.00 g/g),glucose adsorption capacity(GAC)(0.17-4.65 mmol/g),cholesterol adsorption capacity(CAC)(0.03-37.10 mg/g)and viscosity,which make it exhibits different physiological functions such as reducing the risk of obesity,diabetes,cancer,and intestinal diseases.On the basis of consulting related databases,the physicochemical properties of DF and its derived physiological functions are reviewed.It is found that DF has effect on the prevention and treatment of obesity due to good WHC,WSC,OHC and CAC.Good GAC can relieve the symptoms of diabetes.The physicochemical properties of WHC and WSC can reduce the risk of cancer.The WHC,WSC and viscosity are beneficial to intestinal health.Yang He Bixiang Wang Liankui Wen Fengzhong Wang Hansong Yu Dongxia Chen Xin Su Chi Zhang 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,1:15

4Increased activity of MdFRK2, a high-affinity fructokinase, leads to upregulation of sorbitol metabolism and downregulation of sucrose metabolism in apple leaves显示文摘To investigate the functions of fructokinase(FRK)in apple(Malus domestica)carbohydrate metabolism,we cloned the coding sequences of MdFRK1 and MdFRK2 from the‘Royal Gala’apple.The results showed that MdFRK2 expression was extremely high in shoot tips and young fruit.Analyses of heterologously expressed proteins revealed that MdFRK2 had a higher affinity for fructose than did MdFRK1,with Km values of 0.1 and 0.62 mM for MdFRK2 and MdFRK1,respectively.The two proteins,however,exhibited similar Vmax values when their activities were significantly inhibited by high concentrations of fructose.MdFRK2 ectopic expression was associated with a general decrease in fructose concentration in transgenic lines.In leaves,increased FRK activity similarly resulted in reduced concentrations of glucose and sucrose but no alterations in sorbitol concentration.When compared with those in the untransformed control,genes involved in sorbitol synthesis(A6PR)and the degradation pathway(SDH1/2)were significantly upregulated in transgenic lines,whereas those involved in sucrose synthesis(SPS1)and other degradation processes(SUSY4,NINV1/2,and HxK2)were downregulated.The activity of enzymes participating in carbohydrate metabolism was proportional to the level of gene expression.However,the growth performance and photosynthetic efficiency did not differ between the transgenic and wild-type plants.These results provide new genetic evidence to support the view that FRK plays roles in regulating sugar and sorbitol metabolism in Rosaceae plants.Jingjing Yang Lingcheng Zhu Weifang Cui Chen Zhang Dongxia Li Baiquan Ma Lailiang Cheng Yong-Ling Ruan Fengwang Ma Mingjun Li 2018Horticulture Research2018,5,1:9
5Curative effect of scraping therapies on lumbar muscle strain显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To explore factors influencing the curative effect of scraping therapies (at acupoints or along channels) and to determine the relationship of scraping site and strength to curative effect. METHODS: Two hundred and ten patients with lumbar muscle strain were divided into five groups with 42 patients each.The 'scraping therapy at acupoint until appearance of skin eruptions' and 'scraping therapy along channel until appearance of skin eruptions' groups were treated with a 4-daycourse. The 'scraping therapy at acupoint without appearance of skin eruptions', 'scraping therapy along channel without appearance of skin eruptions', and acupuncture groups were treated with a 2-day course.The five groups were treated with seven courses. The visual analog scale (VAS), oswestry disability index (ODI), and lumbago scores were recorded in the five groups before treatment, after each treatment, and in follow-up visits one month and three months after treatment. RESULTS: VAS, ODI, and lumbago scores after treatment improved in the five groups (P<0.01). There was a statistical difference (P<0.01) in the change of VAS scores by appearance of skin eruptions and scraping site. CONCLUSION: Scraping therapy can effectively alleviate lumbago symptoms. 6The lightning activities in super typhoons over the Northwest Pacific显示文摘The spatial and temporal characteristics of lightning activities have been studied in seven super typhoons from 2005 to 2008 over the Northwest Pacific, using data from the World Wide Lightning Location Network (WWLLN). The results indicated that there were three distinct lightning flash regions in mature typhoon, a significant maximum in the eyewall regions (20-80 km from the center), a minimum from 80-200 km, and a strong maximum in the outer rainbands (out of 200 km from the center). The lightning flashes in the outer rainbands were much more than those in the inner rainbands, and less than 1% of flashes occurred within 100 km of the center. Each typhoon produced eyewall lightning outbreak during the periods of its intensification, usually several hours prior to its maximum intensity, indicating that lightning activity might be used as a proxy of intensification of super typhoon. 7Molecular intrinsic characteristic contours of small organic molecules containing oxygen atom显示文摘By utilizing the classical turning point of the electron movement, we have defined and computed the mo-lecular intrinsic characteristic contour (MICC) via the com-bination of the ab initio quantum chemistry computational method with the ionization potential measured by photo-electron spectroscopy experiment. In this paper, we calcu-lated the MICCs of several small organic molecules contain-ing oxygen atom for the first time. The three-dimensional pictures have been drawn, by performing a large number of calculations. 8Theoretical study on characteristic ionic radii显示文摘The characteristic radii for univalent cations and anions were defined by the classical turning point of the electron movement in an ion. The numerical results of the elements from first- to third-rows in the periodic table were obtained using %ab initio% method. 9Solvent extraction and separation of light rare earths from chloride media using HDEHP-P350 system显示文摘Solvent extraction is the most important method for rare earth extraction and separation.Currently,di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid(HDEHP)and 2-ethylhexyl phosphonic acid mono-2-ethylhexyl ester(HEH/EHP)are widely used in industrial production,but there are still obvious deficiencies that require further research to resolve.In this paper,the unsaponification extraction of light rare earth ions in a hydrochloric acid medium by di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid-di(1-methyl-heptyl)methyl phosphonate(HDEHPP350)system was studied.The results show that the addition of P350 reduces the extraction capacity of HDEHP,and also greatly reduces the concentration of acidity required for the back-extraction.It still has a good separation factor for light rare earths without saponification,and the extractant is not easy to emulsify.With an aqueous phase of pH=2.85,and HDEHP mole fraction XHDEHP=0.9(compared with O/A=2),the separation effect of light rare earth is the best,resulting in the separation coefficientβCe/La=3.39,βPr/Ce=1.67 andβNd/Pr=1.45,respectively.The loaded light rare earth ions extracted by HDEHP-P350 can be easily stripped when 2 mol/L HCl is used as the stripping agent.Finally,the extraction mechanism is discussed using a slope method,and the final structure of the extracted complex is determined to be RECl[(DEHP)_(2)]_(2)P350_((o)),based on a combination of infrared spectra and 1 H NMR and 31P NMR analyses.Wenjie Zhang Dongxia Feng Xian Xie Xiong Tong Yunpeng Du Yang Cao 2022Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,2:3
10Exploration of the potential acting on an electron within diatomic molecules显示文摘The potential acting on an electron within a molecule (PAEM) is formulated, and then calculated using the ab initio MELD program plus a separate calculation program in the RHF molecular orbital theory, finally the three-dimensional graphs of the potentials have been drawn. We have systematically investigated this kind of the potentials for a series of the diatomic molecules, such as HF, HCl, HBr, LiF, LiCl, and so on. 13QM/MM(ABEEM) Study on the Ligand Substitution Processes of Ruthenium(Ill) Complex NAMI-A显示文摘QM combined with ABEEMσπ (atom-bond electronegativity equalization method) fluctuating charge polariza-ble tbrce field [QM/MM(ABEEM)] has been employed to investigate the hydrolysis mechanism of ruthenium(liDcomplex NAMI-A. Eleven possible hydrolysis paths of NAMI-A and its hydrolysates have been unveiled. Struc-tures obtained by QM/MM (ABEEM) method were used to calculate the activation free energy by free energy per-turbation theory. Based on analysis of structures and activation free energies, it is found that the rate of DMSO dis-sociation is faster than that of C1- dissociation in the first step, which is in agreement with experimental results. Hy-drolysates of the first step continue to hydrolyze with lower activation free energies than that of the first hydrolysisstep, but the trans-position CI hydrolysis in the second step needs more time to perform. This can account for ex-perimental phenomenon reasonably. 15Theory on the molecular characteristic contour (Ⅱ)——Molecular intrinsic characteristic contours of several typical organic molecules显示文摘The molecular intrinsic characteristic contour (MICC) is defined based on the clas-sical turning point of electron movement in a molecule. Three typical organic molecules, i.e. methane, methanol and formic acid, were employed as examples for detailed introduction of our method. Investigations on the cross-sections of MICC provide important information about atomic size changing in the process of forming molecules. The electron density distributions on the MICCs of these molecules were calculated and shown for the first time. 16Giant Valley Coherence at Room Temperature in 3R WS_(2) with Broken Inversion Symmetry显示文摘Breaking the space-time symmetries in materials can markedly influence their electronic and optical properties.In 3R-stacked transition metal dichalcogenides,the explicitly broken inversion symmetry enables valley-contrasting Berry curvature and quantization of electronic angular momentum,providing an unprecedented platform for valleytronics.Here,we study the valley coherence of 3R WS_(2) large single-crystal with thicknesses ranging from monolayer to octalayer at room temperature.Our measurements demonstrate that both A and B excitons possess robust and thickness-independent valley coherence.The valley coherence of direct A(B)excitons can reach 0.742(0.653)with excitation conditions on resonance with it.Such giant and thickness-independent valley coherence of large single-crystal 3R WS_(2) at room temperature would provide a firm foundation for quantum manipulation of the valley degree of freedom and practical application of valleytronics.Luojun Du Jian Tang Jing Liang Mengzhou Liao Zhiyan Jia Qinghua Zhang Yanchong Zhao Rong Yang Dongxia Shi Lin Gu Jianyong Xiang Kaihui Liu Zhipei Sun Guangyu Zhang 2019Research2019,,1:2
17Molecular dynamics study on BPTI aqueous solution by ABEEM/MM fluctuating charge model显示文摘Molecular dynamics simulation on BPTI (biovine pancreatic trypsin inhibitor) aqueous solution has been performed for the first time in terms of the atom-bond electronegativity equalization method fused with molecular mechanics (ABEEM/MM). The simulated parameters including ABEEM parameters and force field parameters have been tested. Some structural properties including root-mean-square deviations of atomic coordinates and radial distribution functions were studied by ABEEM/MM fluctuating charge method. The results demonstrate that this model can obtain reasonable structural properties compared with experimental crystal data.
