| 1 | Prediction of pathological nodal stage of locally advanced rectal cancer by collective features of multiple lymph nodes in magnetic resonance images before and after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy显示文摘Objective:To predict pathological nodal stage of locally advanced rectal cancer by a radiomic method that uses collective features of multiple lymph nodes(LNs)in magnetic resonance images before and after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy(NCRT).Methods:A total of 215 patients were included in this study and chronologically divided into the discovery cohort(n=143)and validation cohort(n=72).In total,2,931 pre-NCRT LNs and 1,520 post-NCRT LNs were delineated from all visible rectal LNs in magnetic resonance images.Geometric,first-order and texture features were extracted from each LN before and after NCRT.Collective features are defined as the maximum,minimum,mean,median value and standard deviation of each feature from all delineated LNs of each participant.LN-model is constructed from collective LN features by logistic regression model with L1 regularization to predict pathological nodal stage(ypN0 or ypN+).Tumor-model is constructed from tumor features for comparison by using DeLong test.Results:The LN-model selects 7 features from 412 LN features,and the tumor-model selects 7 features from 82 tumor features.The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC)of LN-model in the discovery cohort is 0.818[95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.745-0.878],significantly(Z=2.09,P=0.037)larger than 0.685(95%CI:0.602-0.760)of the tumor-model.The AUC of LN-model in validation cohort is 0.812(95%CI:0.703-0.895),significantly(Z=3.106,P=0.002)larger than 0.517(95%CI:0.396-0.636)of the tumor-model.Conclusions:The usage of collective features from all visible rectal LNs performs better than the usage of tumor features for the prediction of pathological nodal stage of locally advanced rectal cancer. | Haitao Zhu Xiaoyan Zhang Xiaoting Li Yanjie Shi Huici Zhu Yingshi Sun | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2019,31,6: | 13 |
| 2 | 4 K high frequency pulse tube cryocooler used for terahertz space application显示文摘Terahertz(THz) frequency region, defined from0.1 to 10 THz, is an important frequency band for radio astronomy and atmospheric science. As NbN Superconductor-Insulator-Superconductor(SIS) mixers used for terahertz detection, which are studied by the Purple Mountain Observatory(PMO), Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS), work at 8–10 K, and require condition of micro vibrations, its astronomical observation in aerospace is limited by suitable refrigeration method. 4 K high frequency pulse tube cryocooler developed by Key Laboratory of Space Energy Conversion Technologies(SECT), Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry(TIPC), CAS, offers an opportunity for the application of SIS mixers. This article introduces the progress of the two-stage high frequency pulse tube cryocooler researched by TIPC. The cryocooler has reached a no load temperature of 4.5 K which is the lowest temperature for this kind of cryocooler reported so far. | 3 | MYB56 Encoding a R2R3 MYB Transcription Factor Regulates Seed Size in Arabidopsis thaliana显示文摘Plant seed size is tightly regulated by the development of seed coat,embryo,and endosperm;however,currently,its underlying mechanism remains unclear.In this study,we revealed a regulatory role of an R2R3 MYB transcription factor MYB56 in controlling seed size specifcally in Arabidopsis thaliana L.Loss-of-function or knock-down of MYB56 yielded smaller seeds as compared with the wild type.Conversely,overexpression of MYB56 produced larger seeds.Further observation using semi-thin sections showed that myb56 developed smaller contracted endothelial cells and reduced cell number in the outer integument layer of the seed coat during the seed development;by contrast,MYB56 overexpressing lines had expanded endothelial cells and increased cell number in the outer integument layer of the seed coat,suggesting the essential role of MYB56 in regulating seed development.In addition,reciprocal cross-analysis showed that MYB56 affected the seed development maternally.MYB56 was shown to be dominantly expressed in developing seeds,consistently with its function in seed development.Moreover,quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction analysis revealed that MYB56 regulates the expression of genes involved in cell wall metabolism such as cell division and expansion.Altogether,our results demonstrated that MYB56 represents an unknown pathway for positively controlling the seed size. | Yanjie Zhang Wanqi Liang Jianxin Shi Jie Xu Dabing Zhang | 2013 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2013,55,11: | 8 |
| 4 | A Novel Artificial Neuron-Like Gas Sensor Constructed from CuS Quantum Dots/Bi2S3 Nanosheets显示文摘Real-time rapid detection of toxic gases at room temperature is particularly important for public health and environmental monitoring.Gas sensors based on conventional bulk materials often suffer from their poor surface-sensitive sites,leading to a very low gas adsorption ability.Moreover,the charge transportation efficiency is usually inhibited by the low defect density of surface-sensitive area than that in the interior.In this work,a gas sensing structure model based on CuS quantum dots/Bi_(2)S_(3) nanosheets(CuS QDs/Bi_(2)S_(3) NSs)inspired by artificial neuron network is constructed.Simulation analysis by density functional calculation revealed that CuS QDs and Bi_(2)S_(3) NSs can be used as the main adsorption sites and charge transport pathways,respectively.Thus,the high-sensitivity sensing of NO_(2) can be realized by designing the artificial neuron-like sensor.The experimental results showed that the CuS QDs with a size of about 8 nm are highly adsorbable,which can enhance the NO_(2) sensitivity due to the rich sensitive sites and quantum size effect.The Bi_(2)S_(3) NSs can be used as a charge transfer network channel to achieve efficient charge collection and transmission.The neuron-like sensor that simulates biological smell shows a significantly enhanced response value(3.4),excellent responsiveness(18 s)and recovery rate(338 s),low theoretical detection limit of 78 ppb,and excellent selectivity for NO_(2).Furthermore,the developed wearable device can also realize the visual detection of NO2 through real-time signal changes. | Xinwei Chen Tao Wang Jia Shi Wen Lv Yutong Han Min Zeng Jianhua Yang Nantao Hu Yanjie Su Hao Wei Zhihua Zhou Zhi Yang Yafei Zhang | 2022 | Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,1: | 3 |
| 5 | Health risk assessments of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and chlorinated/brominated polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in urban air particles in a haze frequent area in China显示文摘The potential threats of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)and chlorinated/brominated PAHs(Cl/Br-PAHs)to human health from particulate matter in the urban ambient air were studied using human health risk assessments.The risk to human health caused by exposure to PAHs was evaluated in Shijiazhuang,China,from January to December 2018.The PAHs concentration range was 16.02e475.21 ng/m3 and the toxic equivalent was 13.605 ng/m3.For adults,the average carcinogenic risk caused by respiratory exposure was 5.163×10^-6 and the resulting loss of life expectancy was 32.10 min.The human health risks of respiratory exposure to Cl/Br-PAHs in atmospheric samples from the Haidian District,Beijing,China,were evaluated from November 2017 to July 2018.The concentration ranges for the Cl-and Br-PAHs were 60.38e482.17 pg/m3 and 1.32e25.35 pg/m3,respectively.The average carcinogenic equivalent concentrations were 0.3274 pg/m3 and 0.0061 pg/m3 for the Cl-and Br-PAHs,respectively.For adults the average carcinogenic risks caused by respiratory exposure were 1.243×10^-10 and 2.316×10^-12 for the Cl-and Br-PAHs,respectively.The resulting loss of life expectancy values were 0.001 min(Cl-PAHs)and 0.00 min(Br-PAHs).The pollution concentrations and toxic equivalents of the Cl/Br-PAHs in Beijing and of the PAHs in Shijiazhuang both showed toxicity was high in the winter.The average carcinogenic risk for exposure of adults to PAHs in Shijiazhuang was low with certain potential hazards.The concentration of Cl-PAHs in Beijing was higher than that of Br-PAHs,and the average carcinogenic risk for exposure of adults to Cl/Br-PAHs was very low with slight harm. | Miwei Shi Rongzhi Zhang Yunxia Wang Yan Zhang Yuan Zhang Yanjie Zhang | 2020 | Emerging Contaminants2020,6,1: | 2 |

| 17 | Multi-frequency magnetic resonance elastography of the pancreas:measurement reproducibility and variance among healthy volunteers显示文摘Background Patients with chronic pancreatitis often have irreversible pancreatic insufficiency before a clinical diagnosis.Pancreatic cancer is a fatal malignant tumor in the advanced stages.Patients having high risk of pancreatic diseases must be screened early to obtain better outcomes using new imaging modalities.Therefore,this study aimed to investigate the reproducibility of tomoelastography measurements for assessing pancreatic stiffness and fluidity and the variance among healthy volunteers.Methods Forty-seven healthy volunteers were prospectively enrolled and underwent two tomoelastography examinations at a mean interval of 7 days.Two radiologists blindly and independently measured the pancreatic stiffness and fluidity at the first examination to determine the reproducibility between readers.One radiologist measured the adjacent pancreatic slice at the first examination to determine the reproducibility among slices and measured the pancreas at the second examination to determine short-termrepeatability.The stiffness and fluidity of the pancreatic head,body,and tail were compared to determine anatomical differences.The pancreatic stiffness and fluidity were compared based on sex,age,and body mass index(BMI).Results Bland–Altman analyses(all P>0.05)and intraclass correlation coefficients(all>0.9)indicated near perfect reproducibility among readers,slices,and examinations at short intervals.Neither stiffness(P=0.477)nor fluidity(P=0.368)differed among the pancreatic anatomical regions.The mean pancreatic stiffness was 1.45±0.09 m/s;the mean pancreatic fluidity was 0.83±0.06 rad.Stiffness and fluidity did not differ by sex,age,or BMI.Conclusion Tomoelastography is a promising and reproducible tool for assessing pancreatic stiffness and fluidity in healthy volunteers. | Si-Ya Shi Liqin Wang Zhenpeng Peng Yangdi Wang Zhi Lin Xuefang Hu Jiaxin Yuan Li Huang Shi-Ting Feng Yanji Luo | 2022 | Gastroenterology Report2022,10,1: | 0 |
| 18 | Effects of in-situZrB_2 nanoparticles and scandium on microstructure and mechanical property of 7N01 aluminum alloy显示文摘In this study, the in-situ synthesized ZrB_(2) nanoparticles and rare earth Sc were introduced to enhance the strength and ductility of 7N01 aluminum alloy, via the generation of high-melting and uniform nanodispersoids. The microstructure and mechanical property evolution of the prepared composites and the interaction between ZrB_(2) and Sc were studied in detail. The microstructure investigation shows that the introduction of rare earth scandium(Sc) can promote the distribution of ZrB_(2) nanoparticles, by improving their wettability to the Al melt. Meanwhile, the addition of rare earth Sc also modifies the coarse Al Zn Mg Mn Fe precipitated phases, refines the matrix grains and generates high-melting Al_3(Sc,Zr)/Al_3Sc nanodispersoids. Tensile tests of the composites show that with the combinatorial introduction of ZrB_(2) and Sc, the strength and ductility of the composites are improved simultaneously compared with the corresponding 7N01 alloy, ZrB_(2) /7N01 composite and Sc/7N01 alloy. And the optimum contents of ZrB_(2) and Sc are 3 wt% and 0.2 wt% in this study. The yield strength, ultimate strength and elongation of(3 wt% ZrB_(2) +0.2 wt% Sc)/7N01 composite are 477 MPa, 506 MPa and 9.8%, increased about 18.1%, 12.2%and 38% compared to 7N01 alloy.
