| 1 | CD38 deficiency alleviates Ang II-induced vascular remodeling by inhibiting small extracellular vesicle-mediated vascular smooth muscle cell senescence in mice显示文摘CD38 is the main enzyme for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD)degradation in mammalian cells.Decreased NAD levels are closely related to metabolic syndromes and aging-related diseases. Our study showed that CD38 deficiency significantly alleviated angiotensin II(Ang ll)-induced vascular remodeling in mice,as shown by decreased blood pressures;reduced vascular media thickness,media-to-lumen ratio, and collagen deposition;and restored elastin expression. However, our bone marrow transplantation assay showed that CD38 deficiency in lymphocytes led to lack of protection against Ang ll-induced vascular remodeling, suggesting that the effects of CD38 on Ang ll-induced vascular remodeling might rely primarily on vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs),not lymphocytes. In addition,we observed that CD38 deficiency or NAD supplementation remarkably mitigated Ang ll-induced vascular senescence by suppressing the biogenesis, secretion, and internalization of senescence-associated small extracellular vesicles(SA-sEVs),which facilitated the senescence of neighboring non-damaged VSMCs.Furthermore,we found that the protective effects of CD38 deficiency on VSMC senescence were related to restoration of lysosome dysfunction, particularly with respect to the maintenance of sirtuin-mediated mitochondrial homeostasis and activation of the mitochondria-lysosomal axis in VSMCs.In conclusion, our findings demonstrated that CD38 and its associated intracellular NAD decline are critical for Ang ll-induced VSMC senescence and vascular remodeling. | Lu Gan Demin Liu Jing Liu Erya Chen Chan Chen Lian Liu Hang Hu Xiaohui Guan Wen Ma Yanzi Zhang Yarong He Bofu Liu Songling Tang Wei Jiang Jianxin Xue Hongbo Xin | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,7: | 2 |
| 2 | On the Identity of Personality and the Concept of Human显示文摘The concept of'human'is essential in bioethics.Generally speaking, the concept of'human'is related to the identity of personality. This paper systematically discusses the concept of'personality identity'and'human'by Locke,Parfit and Kant.In comparison,Locke views self-awareness or reason as the key element of any appropriate concepts of'human'.On the basis of Locke's viewpoint,Parfit makes explanation of the identity of personality, and points out that personality identity should be connected with physical and psychological continuity. This view has been a progress but still has a utility thought. Therefore, the understanding of the concept of'human'is not entirely out of its species, and should be deeply based on our own as the main body of the concept. | Lu Dongshuang Liu Yanzi | 2015 | 学术界2015,,11: | 0 |
| 3 | Enhanced Water Resistance Performance of Castor Oil—Based Waterborne Polyurethane Modified by Methoxysilane Coupling Agents via Thiol-Ene Photo Click Reaction显示文摘Nowadays, waterborne polyurethanes(WPUs)prepared from renewable resources has attracted more and more attention. However, due to its structure, the prepared films easily swells in water and greatly affects the application range of WPUs.Therefore, solving the problem of water resistance is a way to improve the application range of WPUs.In this study,a series of WPU dispersions were prepared using castor oil as the bio-based polyol.Besides, the thiol-ene photo click reaction was carried out on the WPU films for silane modification. The effect of the silane modification on the chemical structures of the WPU dispersions and the properties of the WPU films was investigated and discussed. The results revealed that the WPU dispersions had a smaller particle size and potential, showing excellent stability. In addition, the modified WPU films showed highly water resistance which 72 h water absorption could be reduced to 1.94%and the contact angle was up to 99.34?.Moreover,the modified WPU films also exhibited excellent solvent resistance(in acid and salt solution)and thermal stability. This study can provide a new way to improve the water-resistance,hydrophobicity,and thermal stability of bio-based waterborne polyurethane for potential application in painting, adhesives and inks. | Zhipeng He Junqi Xue Yanzi Ke Ying Luo Qiming Lu Yuehua Xu Chaoqun Zhang | 2022 | Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,3: | 0 |
| 4 | A chiral lead-free tin(Ⅳ)-based halide organic-inorganic semiconductor with dielectric switching and phase transition显示文摘Chiral organic-inorganic metal halide semiconductors(OIMHSs)have recently attracted numerous interests due to their unique chirality, structural tunability, and extensive physical properties. However, most reported chiral OIMHSs contain toxic lead, which will be a potential obstacle to their further applications.Herein,we successfully synthesized a novel chiral lead-free tin(IV)-based OIMHS[(R)-3-hydroxyquinuclidinium]_(2)SnCl_(6)([R-HQ]_(2)SnCl_(6)).It exhibits a wide band gap(Eg)of about 4.11 eV.Moreover,[R-HQ]_(2)SnCl6 undergoes a phase transition around 330 K(Tc)and shows distinct dielectric switching characteristics with good repeatability. This work enriches the chiral lead-free OIMHS family and stimulates further exploration of chiral lead-free OIMHS switching materials. | Hang Peng Qin Liu Yuhua Liu Yanzi Lu Weiqiang Liao | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,8: | 0 |
