4Nickel-free Stainless Steel for Medical Applications显示文摘BIOSS4 steel is essentially a nickel-free austenitic stainless steel developed by the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in response to nickel allergy problems associated with nickel-containing stainless steels that are widely used in medical applications. The high nitrogen content of this steel effectively maintains the austenitic stability and also contributes to the high levels of corrosion resistance and strength. BIOSS4 steel possesses a good combination of high strength and toughness, better corrosion resistance, and better blood compatibility, in comparison with the medical 316L stainless steel. 5Spatial and Temporal Changes of Arable Land Driven by Urbanization and Ecological Restoration in China显示文摘Since the industrial revolution, human activities have both expanded and intensified across the globe resulting in accelerated land use change. Land use change driven by China’s development has put pressure on the limited arable land resources, which has affected grain production. Competing land use interests are a potential threat to food security in China. Therefore, studying arable land use changes is critical for ensuring future food security and maintaining the sustainable development of arable land. Based on data from several major sources, we analyzed the spatio-temporal differences of arable land among different agricultural regions in China from 2000 to 2010 and identified the drivers of arable land expansion and loss. The results revealed that arable land decreased by 5.92 million ha or 3.31%. Arable land increased in the north and decreased in the south of China. Urbanization and ecological restoration programs were the main drivers of arable land loss, while the reclamation of other land cover types(e.g., forest, grassland, and wetland) was the primary source of the increased arable land. The majority of arable land expansion occurred in the Northwest, but the centroid for grain production moved to northeast, which indicated that new arable land was of poor quality and did not significantly contribute to the grain production capacity. 6Relationality and processual construction: bringing Chinese ideas into international relations theory显示文摘30年来兴起的的西方国际关系理论三大主流学派——结构现实主义、新自由制度主义和结构建构主义——有一个共同的缺失,这就是忽视对国际体系过程和国际社会中复杂关系的研究。本文针对这一重要缺失,借鉴主流建构主义,将“过程”和“关系”这两个中国文化中的重要理念植入国际关系理论,提出一个过程建构主义的理论模式。论文将过程定义为运动中的关系,论证了过程的自在性、过程动力和过程在国际关系中的作用。过程的核心是关系。如果说西方个体本位的社会性质的核心理念是“理性”,那么中国社会文化的一个根本理念则是“关系”。将这个理念挖掘出来并进行概念化处理,依此确立过程建构主义“关系本位”的基本假定。同时,过程建构主义还认为,国际社会中的关系网络确定国家身份并孕化国际权力。过程建构主义是体系层次的进化理论,将分析重点置于国家之间的互动实践,强调过程的自在性以及对国际规范、国家身份和认同的建构作用。Qin Yaqing 2009Social Sciences in China2009,30,4:7
7Repair of abnormal perfusion foci in idiopathic epilepsy patients under long-term antiepileptic treatment显示文摘Epileptic seizure control and the disappearance of epileptiform discharge are not indicative of the absence of abnormal perfusion foci.Perfusion abnormalities are a major cause of epileptic discharge,and the existence of abnormal perfusion foci implies possible relapse.Very little is known about perfusion abnormality repair in epilepsy.The present study selected 43 cases of idiopathic epilepsy under antiepileptic drug control for an average of 24 months.Comparisons between interictal single-photon emission CT(SPECT)images and long-term electroencephalogram(EEG)pre-and post-treatment showed that cases of normal SPECT increased by 48%(12/25)following treatment,with a total number of 15 reduced foci(36%,15/41).Perfusion foci,i.e.,region of interest,were altered following treatment.These changes included:normal to abnormal in 3 cases(7%,3/43;2 hyperperfusion and 1 hypoperfusion);abnormal to normal in 14 cases(32%,14/43;10 pre-treatment hypoperfusion and 4 hyperperfusion);abnormal to abnormal in 7 cases(16%,7/43;hyperperfusion to hypoperfusion in 5 cases,hypoperfusion to hyperperfusion in 2 cases).Long-term EEG revealed in an increase in the number of normal cases by 20(40%,20/39),and there were 25 fewer cases with epileptiform discharges(66%,25/38).These findings demonstrate that long-term control of anti-epileptic drugs partially repaired cerebral perfusion abnormalities and reduced epileptiform discharges in idiopathic epilepsy.Weimin Wang Siyu Zhao Yaqing Liu 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,2:7
8Different quasispecies with great mutations hide in the same subgroup J field strain of avian leukosis virus显示文摘Blood samples were collected from a local strain of chickens associated with serious tumor cases in Shandong Province.The samples were inoculated into chicken embryo fibroblast and DF-1 cells for virus isolation and identification,respectively.The inoculated cells were screened for three common chicken tumor viruses.Nine strains of avian leukosis virus subgroup J(ALV-J) were identified,and were designated LY1201‐LY1209.The env gene from the LY1201 strain was amplified and cloned.All nine resultant env clones(clones 01-09) were sequenced,and the gp85 and gp37 amino acid regions were subjected to homology analysis.Clones 01 and 03 had 10 amino acid deletions in the gp85 region compared to the other seven clones,suggesting that at least two quasispecies with obvious mutations coexist in the same field strain.Among these nine clones,three had identical gp85 and gp37 sequences,and were recognized as the dominant LY1201 quasispecies.The amino acid sequence homology of gp37 and gp85 among the nine clones was 98.5%-100.0% and 96.6%-100.0% respectively,suggesting that the gp85 region of the env gene can better display the quasispecies diversity of ALV-J than gp37.MAO YaQing LI WeiHua DONG Xuan LIU JinHua ZHAO Peng 2013Science China(Life Sciences)2013,56,5:6
9Ultra-deep desulfurization by reactive adsorption desulfurization on copper-based catalysts显示文摘In this paper,a novel copper-based catalyst for FCC gasoline improving the ability of removal the sulfur and avoiding the loss of the octane number from olefin saturation by reactive adsorption desulfurization(RADS) was investigated.The series of Cu/Zn O-Al_2 O_3 catalysts were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD),N_2 adsorption analysis and temperature-programmed reduction(TPR) studies,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),scanning electron microscope(SEM) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).The experiment results showed that the catalysts had an optimum desulfurization ability with copper loading 6 wt%,which the sulfur contents of product decreased less than 10 μg/g and olefin contents decreased from 16.19% to 14.14% for the long period operation.The appropriate Cu loading content could lead to the high active and low apparent activation energy(E_a).Therefore,the Cu-based catalyst may become a novel catalyst for second-generation for reactive adsorption desulfurization,which achieves the high desulfurization active and low olefins saturation to satisfy the upgrading the product.Yaqing Liu Hongying Wang Jinchong Zhao Yunqi Liu Chenguang Liu 2019Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,2:6
10Aptamer-quantum dots and teicoplanin-gold nanoparticles constructed FRET sensor for sensitive detection of Staphylococcus aureus显示文摘The detection of bacterial pathogen such as Staphylococcus aureus(S.aureus) is essential for the regulation of food hygiene and disease diagnosis.Herein,we developed a simple one-step fluorescence resonance energy transfer(FRET)-based sensor for specific and sensitive detection of S.aureus in food and serum samples,in which aptamer-modified quantum dots(aptamer-QDs) was employed as the energy donor and antibiotic of teicoplanin functionalized-gold nanoparticles(Teico-AuNPs) was chosen as the energy acceptor.Within 1 h,the FRET-based sensor showed a linear range of from 10 cfu/mL to 5 × 10^(8) cfu/mL,with the low limit of detection(LOD,2 cfu/mL) for S.aureus in buffer.When further applied to assay S.aureus in real samples,the FRET-based sensor showed good recoveries ranging from 84.5% to 110.0%,with relative standard derivations(RSDs) of 0.01%-0.44% and a LOD of 100 cfu/mL in milk,orange juice and human serum.Xiaoqi Tao Ziyi Liao Yaqing Zhang Fei Fu Mengqi Hao Yang Song Erqun Song 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,2:5

13Thrombolysis with alteplase 3-4.5 hours after acute ischaemic stroke:the first multicentre,phase III trial in China显示文摘background and purpose Data on the efficacy and safety of alteplase for acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)administered 3-4.5 hours after the onset of stroke symptoms in Chinese patients is limited.We sought to determine whether AIS patients would benefit from thrombolysis with alteplase between 3 and 4.5 hours after the onset of stroke symptoms in a prospective,multicentre,single-arm trial in China.Materials and methods Eligible AIS patients were given 0.9 mg/kg alteplase intravenously.The primary efficacy endpoint was a favourable outcome at 3 months,defined as a score of 0 or 1 on the modified Rankin Scale.Thresholds for the primary efficacy endpoint were determined to be 40%based on the literature review.The primary safety endpoint was symptomatic intracranial haemorrhage(sICH)according to the European Cooperative Acute Stroke Study III(ECASS III)trial definition.Post hoc analysis between this study and the ECASS III trial were compared using the propensity score matching(PSM)method.results A total of 120 eligible AIS patients from 11 sites in China received thrombolysis therapy in this study.The median time from onset of symptoms to needle was 3 hours 54 min.The percentage of patients with a favourable outcome was 63.3%(95%CI 54.4 to 71.4),significantly higher than the predefined threshold(p<0.0001).Three patients(2.5%,95%CI 0.5 to 7.1)had sICH,including two fatal sICH.Six patients died within 3 months after treatment.The post hoc PSM analysis showed a numerically higher rate of the primary efficacy endpoint in this study(63.3%)than the matched placebo arm(56.7%)in the ECASS III trial.Conclusions Intravenous alteplase with a standard dose administered between 3 and 4.5 hours after onset of symptoms is effective and safe for Chinese AIS patients.Huaguang Zheng Yi Yang Huisheng Chen Chuanling Li Yangkun Chen Fu-Dong Shi Li Yang Xiaoping Cui Zuneng Lu Yanling Liang Songbiao Cui Anding Xu Yiqing Wu Yaqing Sun Yongjun Wang 2020Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,3:4

The maximum oxygen content in the steel produced by concasting process was 13 ?10-6 with an average oxygen content of 9.3?10-6. 17Effects of Jiazhu decoction in combination with cyclophosphamide on breast cancer in mice显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the therapeutic effects of Jiazhu decoction (JZD) in combination with cyclophosphamide (CTX) on the growth of breast cancer in mice and to explore the possible molecular mechanisms of action. METHODS: BALB/c mice were randomly divided into four groups of 10 (untreated model group, JZD group, CTX group, and JZD + CTX group) and subcutaneously injected with 4T1 mouse breast cancer cells. Tumors were allowed to establish for ~7 d before initiation of treatment with CTX (100 mg/kg every week by intraperitoneal injection) and/or JZD (0.015 mL of 1.65 g/mL crude drug, administered daily by gavage). The model group received equivalent volumes of vehicle on the same schedules. Tumor volumes were measured every 3 d. Mice were sacrificed after 3 weeks of treatment, and tumors were excised and subjected to RT-qPCR and western blot analysis to evaluate expression of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway components β-catenin, c-Myc, and cyclin D1 at the mRNA and protein levels. RESULTS: The mean tumor volume was smaller and the growth rate was slower in the CTX and JZD + CTX groups compared with the model group (P < 0.05), and in the JZD + CTX group compared with the CTX and JZD groups (P < 0.05). Tumor growth was inhibited by 35.4% and 48.1% by CTX and JZD + CTX treatment, respectively (P < 0.001). The expression of β-catenin, c-Myc, and cyclin D1 mRNA and protein in tumors was significantly lower in mice treated with JZD or JZD + CTX compared with the untreated mice (P < 0.05), and was significantly lower in mice treated with JZD + CTX compared with either JZD or CTX alone (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: JZD inhibited the growth of mouse breast cancer cells in vivo, possibly by reducing the expression of β-catenin, c-Myc, and cyclin D1. 20Higher Dietary Arachidonic Acid Levels Improved the Growth Performance, Gonad Development, Nutritional Value, and Antioxidant Enzyme Activities of Adult Sea Urchin(Strongylocentrotus intermedius)显示文摘The gonads of sea urchins(Strongylocentrotus intermedius) are characterized by high levels of arachidonic acid(ARA, 20:4 n-6) and eicosapentaenoic acid(EPA, 20:5 n-3). However, to our knowledge, little information is available regarding the physiological response of adult sea urchins to dietary ARA. In the present study, four dietary feeds were formulated with graded ARA(0, 0.5%, 1%, and 2% dry diet). Each diet was randomly allocated to three cages during a 56-day feeding experiment. The results showed that the sea urchin weight gain rate(WGR) and the gonadosomatic index(GI) significantly increased as ARA was equal to or above 1.0% of dry diet(P < 0.05). The activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD), catalase(CAT), and total anti-oxidative capacity(T-AOC) were the highest in the coelomic fluid of sea urchins that were fed diets with 1% ARA. The total essential amino acid(TEAA) and its ratio to total non-essential amino acid(TNEAA) showed a similar tendency to WGR and GI as dietary ARA increased, and the highest TEAA and TEAA/TNEAA were observed in the gonads of sea urchins that were fed diets with 1% ARA. Levels of ARA and ARA/EPA of the gonads increased while n-3/n-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid(PUFA) decreased with the increase of dietary ARA(P < 0.05). EPA in the gonads of experimental animals fed with formulated feeds showed no significant differences(P> 0.05), but was significantly lower than those fed with kelp(P < 0.05).
