Graphene TiO_2 nanocomposites with high photocatalytic activity for the degradation of sodium pentachlorophenol显示文摘A series of graphene–TiO2photocatalysts was synthesized by doping TiO2 with graphene oxide via hydrothermal treatment. The photocatalytic capability of the catalysts under ultraviolet irradiation was evaluated in terms of sodium pentachlorophenol(PCP-Na) decomposition and mineralization. The structural and physicochemical properties of these nanocomposites were characterized by X-ray diffraction, N2adsorption–desorption, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, Ultraviolet–visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance spectra, and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. The graphene–TiO2nanocomposites exhibited higher photocatalytic efficiency than commercial P25 for the degradation of PCP-Na, and 63.4% to 82.9% of the total organic carbon was fully mineralized. The improved photocatalytic activity may be attributed to the accelerated interfacial electron-transfer process and the significantly prolonged lifetime of electron-hole pairs imparted by graphene sheets in the nanocomposites. However, excessive graphene and the inhomogeneous aggregation of TiO2 nanoparticles may decrease photodegradation efficiency. | Yaxin Zhang Zeyu Zhou Tan Chen Hongtao Wang Wenjing Lu | 2014 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2014,26,10: | 6

Terahertz Direct Modulation Techniques for High-speed Communication Systems显示文摘Terahertz communication technology can provide abundant frequency resources, strong confidentiality, antijamming capability, communication tracking capability and the ability to achieve highspeed data transmissions and can serve as an important technical method for high-speed communications in the future.Among these terahertz communication technologies, terahertz direct modulation technology is a key means to achieve low system complexity and power consumption. In this paper,a review and outlook of terahertz direct modulation technology are proposed from the aspects of high-electron-mobilitytransistor-based terahertz direct modulation, parallelswitch terahertz direct modulation,diode-based terahertz direct modulation, quantum cascade laser-based terahertz direct modulation and new-material-based terahertz direct modulation. We hope through this paper that more readers can gain knowledge about the development and challenges of terahertz direct modulation technology for high-speed communication systems, thus promoting the development of high-speed terahertz communication technology based on direct modulation. | Tianchi Zhou Yaxin Zhang Bo Zhang Hongxin Zeng Zhiyong Tan Xilin Zhang Lan Wang Zhi Chen Juncheng Cao Kaijun Song Ziqiang Yang | 2021 | China Communications2021,18,5: | 0
Temporal and spatial stability of the EM/PM molecular subtypes in adult diffuse glioma显示文摘Detailed characterizations of genomic alterations have not identified subtype-specific vulnerabilities in adult gliomas. Mapping gliomas into developmental programs may uncover new vulnerabilities that are not strictly related to genomic alterations. After identifying conserved gene modules co-expressed with EGFR or PDGFRA (EM or PM), we recently proposed an EM/PM classification scheme for adult gliomas in a histological subtype- and grade-independent manner. By using cohorts of bulk samples, paired primary and recurrent samples, multi-region samples from the same glioma, single-cell RNA-seq samples, and clinical samples, we here demonstrate the temporal and spatial stability of the EM and PM subtypes. The EM and PM subtypes, which progress in a subtype-specific mode, are robustly maintained in paired longitudinal samples. Elevated activities of cell proliferation, genomic instability and microenvironment, rather than subtype switching, mark recurrent gliomas. Within individual gliomas, the EM/PM subtype was preserved across regions and single cells. Malignant cells in the EM and PM gliomas were correlated to neural stem cell and oligodendrocyte progenitor cell compartment, respectively. Thus, while genetic makeup may change during progression and/or within different tumor areas, adult gliomas evolve within a neurodevelopmental framework of the EM and PM molecular subtypes. The dysregulated developmental pathways embedded in these molecular subtypes may contain subtype-specific vulnerabilities. | Jing Feng Zheng Zhao Yanfei Wei Zhaoshi Bao Wei Zhang Fan Wu Guanzhang Li Zhiyan Sun Yanli Tan Jiuyi Li Yunqiu Zhang Zejun Duan Xueling Qi Kai Yu Zhengmin Cong Junjie Yang Yaxin Wang Yingyu Sun Fuchou Tang Xiaodong Su Chuan Fang Tao Jiang Xiaolong Fan | 2023 | Frontiers of Medicine2023,17,2: | 0
PROCESS AND EFFICIENCY OF ULTRAFINE PARTICLES PREPARED BY LASER BEAM显示文摘Both the melting and evaporating efficiencies of the preparation process for ultrafine metallic particles by laser beam have been calculated using a physical model founded on an investigation of the energy interaction between a laser beam and the surfaces of Al,Cu and Mo samples. It shows that the above efficiencies of Al rank first, and those of Mo rank last. However those-of Al and Mo increase faster than those of Cu with increasing laser beam pulse intensity. | Xu Huibin Tan Shusong YaXin(translated) | 1992 | Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China1992,2,4: | 0
Transplantation of human placental chorionic plate-derived mesenchymal stem cells for repair of neurological damage in neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy显示文摘Neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy is often associated with permanent cerebral palsy, neurosensory impairments, and cognitive deficits, and there is no effective treatment for complications related to hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. The therapeutic potential of human placental chorionic plate-derived mesenchymal stem cells for various diseases has been explored. However, the potential use of human placental chorionic plate-derived mesenchymal stem cells for the treatment of neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy has not yet been investigated. In this study,we injected human placental chorionic plate-derived mesenchymal stem cells into the lateral ventricle of a neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy rat model and observed significant improvements in both cognitive and motor function.Protein chip analysis showed that interleukin-3 expression was significantly elevated in neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy model rats.Following transplantation of human placental chorionic plate-derived mesenchymal stem cells,interleukin-3 expression was downregulated. To further investigate the role of interleukin-3 in neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy,we established an in vitro SH-SY5Y cell model of hypoxic-ischemic injury through oxygen-glucose deprivation and silenced interleukin-3 expression using small interfering RNA.We found that the activity and proliferation of SH-SY5Y cells subjected to oxygen-glucose deprivation were further suppressed by interleukin-3 knockdown.Furthermore,interleukin-3 knockout exacerbated neuronal damage and cognitive and motor function impairment in rat models of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. The findings suggest that transplantation of hpcMSCs ameliorated behavioral impairments in a rat model of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, and this effect was mediated by interleukin-3-dependent neurological function. | Lulu Xue Ruolan Du Ning Bi Qiuxia Xiao Yifei Sun Ruize Niu Yaxin Tan Li Chen Jia Liu Tinghua Wang Liulin Xiong | 2024 | Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,9: | 0
Membrane fusion reverse micelle platforms as potential oral nanocarriers for efficient internalization of free hydrophilic peptides显示文摘Orally administered peptides or proteins are garnering increasing preference owing to their superiority in terms of patient compliance and convenience. However, the development of oral protein formulations has stalled due to the low bioavailability of macromolecules that encounter the aggressive gastrointestinal environment and harsh mucus villi barrier.Herein,we propose an ideal reverse micelle/self-emulsifying drug delivery system(RM/SEDDS)nanoplatform that is capable of improving the oral bioavailability of hydrophilic peptides by preventing enzymatic degradation and enhancing mucosal permeability.Upon the passage through the mucus, the self-emulsifying drug delivery system with optimal surface properties effectively penetrates the viscoelastic mucosal barrier, followed by the exposure of the inner reverse micelle amphipathic vectors, which autonomously form continua with the lipidic cell membrane and facilitate the internalization of drugs. This membrane-fusion mechanism inaugurates a new way for hydrophilic peptide delivery in the free form, circumventing the traditional impediments of the cellular internalization of nanocarriers and subsequent poor release of drugs. And more importantly, reverse micelles are not spatially specific to the laden drugs, which enables their delivery for a myriad of peptide clinical drugs. In conclusion,as an exquisitely designed nanoplatform,RM/SEDDS overcomes multiple physiological barriers and opens a new path for drug cellular entry, providing new prospects for the development of oral drug delivery systems. | Mengting Lin Linjie Wu Yiying Lu Xiaoyan Bao Haiqing Zhong Qi Dai Qiyao Yang Yiyi Xia Xin Tan Yaxin Qin Ruolin Jiang Min Han | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 0
