5Sustainability of SARS-CoV-2 Induced Humoral Immune Responses in COVID-19 Patients from Hospitalization to Convalescence Over Six Months显示文摘Understanding the persistence of antibody in convalescent COVID-19 patients may help to answer the current major concerns such as the risk of reinfection,the protection period of vaccination and the possibility of building an active herd immunity.This retrospective cohort study included 172 COVID-19 patients who were hospitalized in Wuhan.A total of404 serum samples were obtained over six months from hospitalization to convalescence.Antibodies in the specimens were quantitatively analyzed by the capture chemiluminescence immunoassays(CLIA).All patients were positive for the anti-SARS-Co V-2 Ig M/Ig G at the onset of COVID-19 symptoms,and the Ig G antibody persisted in all the patients during the convalescence.However,only approximately 25%of patients can detect the Ig M antibodies,Ig M against N protein(NIg M)and receptor binding domain of S protein(RBD-Ig M)at the 27 th week.The titers of Ig M,N-Ig M and RBD-Ig M reduced to 16.7%,17.6%and 15.2%of their peak values respectively.In contrast,the titers of Ig G,N-Ig G and RBD-Ig G peaked at 4–5 th week and reduced to 85.9%,62.6%and 87.2%of their peak values respectively at the end of observation.Dynamic behavior of antibodies and their correlation in age,gender and severity groups were investigated.In general,the COVID-19 antibody was sustained at high levels for over six months in most of the convalescent patients.Only a few patients with antibody reducing to an undetectable level which needs further attention.The humoral immune response against SARS-Co V-2 infection in COVID-19 patients exhibits a typical dynamic of acquired immunity.Yang Zheng Qing Zhang Ashaq Ali Ke Li Nan Shao Xiaoli Zhou Zhiqin Ye Xiaomin Chen Shanshan Cao Jing Cui Juan Zhou Dianbing Wang Baidong Hou Min Li Mengmeng Cui Lihua Deng Xinyi Sun Qian Zhang Qinfang Yang Yong li Hui Wang Yake Lei Bo Yu Yegang Cheng Xiaolin Tong Dong Men Xian-En Zhang 2021Virologica Sinica2021,36,5:1

10Impacts of fire and phosphorus on sawgrass and cattails in an altered landscape of the Florida Everglades显示文摘Introduction:Although fire as a critical ecological process shapes the Florida Everglades landscape,researchers lack landscape-based approach for fire management.The interactive effect of fire,nutrients,water depth,and invasive cattails(Typha spp.)on vegetation communities is of special concern for ecosystem restoration.In particular,questions concerning the effect of fire on nutrient release and,by extension,the potential thereof to stimulate sawgrass(Cladium jamaicense Crantz)re-growth and cattail expansion under varying hydrological conditions are of immediate relevance to ecologists and land managers who work to restore the Everglades.Methods:In late April of 1999,a 42,875 ha surface fire,including a 100 ha peat fire,burned the northern section of Water Conservation Area 3A(WCA-3A)in the Everglades.In this study,total phosphorus(TP)in soil,surface water,pore-water,and vegetation was sampled at non-burned,surface-burned and peat-burned areas within one and five months after the burn.Four years after the initial fire,field data were collected in a large scale survey to analyze how the 1999 fire affected cattail distribution in the altered landscape of high soil TP and cattail habitats.Existing GIS maps were utilized to select field sampling locations and to provide additional information for the analysis.Results:The analyses showed that five months after the fire,sawgrass biomass re-growth was about 5 times higher in burned areas(611±47 g/m^(2))than in non-burned areas(102±18 g/m^(2)).Sawgrass re-growth in water depths less than 30 cm was 4.9±0.4 g/m^(2)/day while sawgrass re-growth in water depths deeper than 60 cm decreased to 0.5±0.3 g/m^(2)/day.Cattail biomass re-growth in peat-burned areas was as high as 1,079±38 g/m^(2).The data also showed that post-fire cattail expansion could be related to cattail stands existing before the fire.Furthermore,post-fire cattail appeared more significant expansion in the areas with soil TP above 900 mg/kg than in that with soil TP below 900 mg/kg.Conclusions:The data showed that fire within altered landscapes(e.g.high soil TP and/or cattail)of the Everglades could stimulate the re-growth and expansion of cattails,and post-fire re-growth of sawgrass could be severely impeded by deep water after a surface-burn.This research indicates that fire continues to be an effective ecological process for maintaining the Everglades;therefore,ecologists and land managers may have to reevaluate the future management of natural fire with regard to its dynamic relationship with high soil TP and cattail expansion in the altered Everglades landscape.Yegang Wu Ken Rutchey Susan Newman Shili Miao Naiming Wang Fred H Sklar William H Orem 2012Ecological Processes2012,1,1:0
11Mechanism and characterization of nanosecond laser rust-removal on AH36 steel显示文摘In this paper,the effects of different laser powers,repetition rates,and spot overlaps on the surface roughness,micromorphology,and Vickers hardness of rusted AH36 steel were researched in the rust removal experiment of fiber pulse laser on the marine steel surface.Then,the mechanical properties,corrosion resistance,and metallographic microstructure of the surface of samples after laser cleaning were analyzed.The experimental results show that when the processing parameters were the laser power of 40 W,the repetition rate of 110 k Hz,and the spot overlap of 50%,the rust removal effect on AH36 steel was the best,and it met the cleanliness standard of marine steel coating.Moreover,its Vickers hardness,mechanical properties,corrosion resistance,and repainting properties were superior to those of the original substrate.TAO Qing KUANG Wenxiang WEI Liangpeng YIN Yegang CHENG Jian LIU Dun 2023Optoelectronics Letters2023,19,4:0
12Fabricating lifted Haar transform image compression optical chip based on femtosecond laser显示文摘In this paper,a lifted Haar transform(LHT)image compression optical chip has been researched to achieve rapid image compression.The chip comprises 32 same image compression optical circuits,and each circuit contains a 2×2 multimode interference(MMI)coupler and aπ/2 delay line phase shifter as the key components.The chip uses highly borosilicate glass as the substrate,Su8 negative photoresist as the core layer,and air as the cladding layer.Its horizontal and longitudinal dimensions are 8011μm×10000μm.Simulation results present that the designed optical circuit has a coupling ratio(CR)of 0:100 and an insertion loss(IL)of 0.001548 d B.Then the chip is fabricated by femtosecond laser and testing results illustrate that the chip has a CR of 6:94 and an IL of 0.518 d B.So,the prepared chip possesses good image compression performance.TAO Qing WEI Liangpeng KUANG Wenxiang YIN Yegang CHENG Jian LIU Dun 2023Optoelectronics Letters2023,19,9:0
13Abnormal neural oscillations in clinical high risk for psychosis:a magnetoencephalography method study显示文摘Background Neural oscillations directly reflect the rhythmic changes of brain activities during the resting state or while performing specific tasks.Abnormal neural oscillations have been discovered in patients with schizophrenia.However,there is limited evidence available on abnormal spontaneous neural oscillations in clinical high risk for psychosis(CHR-P).The brain signals recorded by the magnetoencephalography(MEG)technique are not to be disrupted by the skull and scalp.Methods In this study,we applied the MEG technique to record the resting-state neural activities in CHR-P.This was followed by a detailed MEG analysis method including three steps:(1)preprocessing,which was band-pass filtering based on the 0.5-60Hz frequency range,removal of 50Hz power frequency interference,and removal of electrocardiography(ECG)and electrooculography(EOG)artefacts by independent component analysis;(2)time-frequency analysis,a multitaper time-frequency transformation based on the Hanning window,and(3)source localisation.an exact low-resolution brain electromagnetic tomography.The method was verified by comparing aparticipant with CHR-P with a healthy control during the MEG recordings with an eyes-closed resting state.Results Experimental results show that the neural oscillations in CHR-P were significantly abnormal in the theta frequency band(4-7Hz)and the delta frequency band(1-3Hz).Also,relevant brain regions were located in the left occipital lobe and left temporo-occipital junction for the theta band and in the right dorsolateral prefrontal lobe and near orbitofrontal gyrus for the delta band.Conclusions Abnormal neural oscillations based on specific frequency bands and corresponding brain sources may become biomarkers for high-risk groups.Further work will validate these characteristics in CHR-P cohorts.Yegang Hu Jun Wu Yujiao Cao Xiaochen Tang Guisen Wu Qian Guo Lihua Xu Zhenying Qian Yanyan Wei Yingying Tang Chunbo Li Tianhong Zhang Jijun Wang 2022General Psychiatry2022,35,2:0
14Relationships between selfreflectiveness and clinical symptoms in individuals during pre-morbid and early clinical stages of psychosis显示文摘Background Self-reflectiveness,one dimension of cognitive insight,plays a protective role in an individual’s mental state.Both high and low levels of self-reflectiveness have been reported in patients with schizophrenia and individuals at clinical high risk for the illness.Aims This study aimed to explore the relationship patterns between self-reflectiveness and clinical symptoms in individuals during the pre-morbid and early clinical stages of psychosis.Methods A total of 181 subjects,including individuals with attenuated positive symptoms(APS,n=122)and patients with first-episode psychosis(FEP,n=59),completed the Beck Cognitive Insight Scale and were evaluated using the Schedule of Assessment of Insight and Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale.All subjects were classified into three groups according to their level of selfreflectiveness:low level(LSR,n=59),medium level(MSR,n=67)and high level(HSR,n=55).Both linear and nonlinear relationships between self-reflectiveness and clinical symptoms were explored.Results More individuals with APS were classified into the MSR group,while more patients with FEP were classified into the LSR group.The LSR group demonstrated less awareness of illness than the MSR and HSR groups,more stereotyped thinking and poorer impulse control but less anxiety than the MSR group,and lower levels of blunted affect and guilt feelings than the HSR group.The MSR group demonstrated lower stereotyped thinking than the HSR group.Compared to the LSR group,the MSR group had increased selfreflectiveness,improved awareness of illness,decreased stereotyped thinking,and better impulse control,but increased feelings of guilt.The HSR group showed increased stereotyped thinking when compared to the MSR group,but the other variables did not change significantly between these two groups.Overall,self-reflectiveness demonstrated an approximately inverse S-shaped relationship with the awareness of illness,a U-shaped relationship with stereotyped thinking and poor impulse control,and an almost linear relationship with anxiety and guilt feelings.Conclusions Self-reflectiveness demonstrates complex relationships with clinical symptoms and fails to exert significant positive effects when reaching a certain high level.Lihua Xu Huiru Cui Yanyan Wei Zhenying Qian Xiaochen Tang Yegang Hu Yingchan Wang Hao Hu Qian Guo Yingying Tang Tianhong Zhang Jijun Wang 2022General Psychiatry2022,35,3:0
15Euphoric effect induced by zolpidem:a case study of magnetoencephalography显示文摘Initially,zolpidem,a non-benzodiazepine hypnotic agent,was considered to have fewer adverse reactions than traditional benzodiazepines.However,after zolpidem was approved for medical use,an increasing number of case reports have described abuse or dependence complications.We were especially interested in the cases of dependence that presented a paradoxical‘euphoric’effect of zolpidem.This article reports the case of a female zolpidem-dependent patient who presented with 6 years of daily use of 400-1400 mg of zolpidem.She reported subjective effects of euphoria,intense craving and the inability to stop drug ingestion.Her diagnoses were zolpidem dependence and a depressive episode induced by substance abuse.To explore the neural mechanisms of the euphoric effect caused by high-dose zolpidem,we performed repeated magnetoencephalography(MEG)recordings.Before undergoing detoxification,her MEG results indicated that cerebellar electrical signal activation increased when taking high zolpidem doses.However,the prefrontal and parietal lobes’electrical signal activity showed a tendency to recover to a normal state as the withdrawal time progressed to completion.This case suggests that the cerebellum plays a role in the euphoria induced by high zolpidem doses and provides clues for further research.Xuechan Lyu Yegang Hu Yan Zhao Haihong Wang Jiang Du Jijun Wang Haifeng Jiang 2022General Psychiatry2022,35,1:0
