Isolation of marine benzo[a]pyrene-degrading Ochrobactrum sp. BAP5 and proteins characterization显示文摘A bacterial strain BAP5 with a relatively high degradation ability of benzo[a]pyrene (BaP) was isolated from marine sediments of Xiamen Western Sea, China and identified as Ochrobactrum sp. according to 16S rRNA gene sequence as well as Biolog microbial identification system. Strain BAP5 could grow in mineral salt medium with 50 mg/L of BaP and degrade about 20% BaP after 30 d of incubation. Ochrobactrum sp. BAP5 was able to utilize other polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) (such as phenanthrene, pyrene and fluoranthene) as the sole carbon source and energy source, suggesting its potential application in PAHs bioremediation. The profile of total soluble protein from Ochrobactrum sp. BAP5 was also investigated. Some over- and special-expressed proteins of strain BAP5 when incubated with the presence of BaP were detected by two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, and found to be related with PAHs metabolism, DNA translation, and energy production based on peptide fingerprint analysis through matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry. | WU Yirui HE Tengteng ZHONG Mingqi ZHANG Yueling LI Enmin HUANG Tongwang HU Zhong | 2009 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,10: | 10
Biochar-Induced Priming Effects in Young and Old Poplar Plantation Soils显示文摘The priming effect(PE)induced by biochar provides a basis for evaluating its carbon(C)sequestration potential in soils.A 60 days’laboratory incubation was conducted, which involved the amendment of biochar(1%of soil mass)produced from rice straw at 300℃(B300)and 500℃(B500)to young(Y)and old(O)poplar plantation soils, with the aim of studying the responses of biochar-induced PEs to poplar plantation ages. This incubation included six treatments:Y+CK(control),Y+B300,Y+B500,O+CK,O+B300,and O+B500.Carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emissions were significantly increased(p<0.05)in the B300 amended soils, while it was decreased in the B500 amended soils compared to the CK.The primed CO_(2) emissions were 2.35 times higher in the Y+B300 than the O+B300 treatments, which was measured to be 18.6 and 5.56 mg C·kg^(-1) with relative PEs of 12.4%and 3.35%,respectively.However,there was little difference between the primed CO_(2) emissions in Y+B500 and O+B500 treatments, which were measured to be-24.9 and-29.6 mg·C·kg^(-1) with relative PEs of-16.6%and-17.8%,respectively.Dissolved organic carbon(DOC)was significantly lower in the young poplar plantation soil than that in the old poplar plantation soil regardless of biochar amendment throughout the incubation, indicating greater C-limit of soil microorganisms in the young poplar plantation soil.Using ^(13)C isotope tracing, neither B300 nor B500 decreased native soil-derived DOC,which indicated that the negative B500-induced PEs were not due to a reduction in the availability of native soil-derived C.In conclusion, the response of biochar-induced PEs to poplar plantation age depends on biochar types while soil available C indirectly affects biochar-induced PEs.Further studies should focus on how the interactive effects between soil C availability and microbial community impacts biochar-induced PEs. | Weiwei Lu Yirui Zhang Yixian Yao Yuying Wu Han Y.H.Chen Hailin Zhang Jia Yu Caiqin Shen Qi Liu Honghua Ruan | 2020 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2020,89,1: | 2
Prolonged propagation of rat neural stem cells relies on inhibiting autocrine/paracrine bone morphogenetic protein and platelet derived growth factor signals显示文摘Continuous expansion of rat neural stem cell lines has not been achieved due to proliferation arrest and spontaneous differentiation in vitro. In the current study, neural precursor cells derived from the subventricular zone of adult rats spontaneously underwent astroglial and oligodendroglial differentiation after limited propagation. This differentiation was largely induced by autocrine or paracrine bone morphogenetic protein and platelet derived growth factor signals. The results showed that, by inhibiting bone morphogenetic protein and platelet derived growth factor signals, adult rat neural precursor cells could be extensively cultured in vitro as tripotent stem cell lines. In addition to adult rat neural stem cells, we found that bone morphogenetic protein antagonists can promote the proliferation of human neural stem cells. Therefore, the present findings illustrated the role of autocrine or paracrine bone morphogenetic protein and platelet derived growth factor signaling in determining neural stem cell self-renewal and differentiation. By antagonizing both signals, the long-term propagation of rat neural stem cell lines can be achieved. | Yirui Sun Liangfu Zhou Xing Wu Hua Liu Qiang Yuan Ying Mao Jin Hu | 2011 | Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,13: | 1
Channel-wise attention model-based fire and rating level detection in video显示文摘Due to natural disaster and global warning, one can expect unexpected fire, which causes panic among people and extent to death. To reduce the impact of fire, the authors propose a new method for predicting and rating fire in video through deep-learning models in this work such that rescue team can save lives of people. The proposed method explores a hybrid deep convolutional neural network, which involves motion detection and maximally stable extremal region for detecting and rating fire in video. Further, the authors propose to use a channel-wise attention mechanism of the deep neural network for detecting rating of fire level. Experimental results on a large dataset show the proposed method outperforms the existing methods for detecting and rating fire in video. | Yirui Wu Yuechao He Palaiahnakote Shivakumara Ziming Li Hongxin Guo Tong Lu | 2019 | CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology2019,4,2: | 1
NDFIP1 limits cellular TAZ accumulation via exosomal sorting to inhibit NSCLC proliferation显示文摘NDFIP1 has been previously reported as a tumor suppressor in multiple solid tumors, but the function of NDFIP1 in NSCLC and the underlying mechanism are still unknown.Besides, the WW domain containing proteins can be recognized by NDFIP1,resulted in the loading of the target proteins into exosomes. However, whether WW domain-containing transcription regulator 1(WWTR1,also known as TAZ)can be packaged into exosomes by NDFIP1 and if so,whether the release of this oncogenic protein via exosomes has an effect on tumor development has not been investigated to any extent. Here,we first found that NDFIP1 was low expressed in NSCLC samples and cell lines, which is associated with shorter OS.Then,we confirmed the interaction between TAZ and NDFIP1,and the existence of TAZ in exosomes, which requires NDFIP1.Critically,knockout of NDFIP1 led to TAZ accumulation with no change in its mRNA level and degradation rate. And the cellular TAZ level could be altered by exosome secretion.Furthermore,NDFIP1 inhibited proliferation in vitro and in vivo, and silencing TAZ eliminated the increase of proliferation caused by NDFIP1 knockout. Moreover,TAZ was negatively correlated with NDFIP1 in subcutaneous xenograft model and clinical samples, and the serum exosomal TAZ level was lower in NSCLC patients. In summary, our data uncover a new tumor suppressor,NDFIP1 in NSCLC,and a new exosome-related regulatory mechanism of TAZ. | Yirui Cheng Xin Lu Fan Li Zhuo Chen Yanshuang Zhang Qing Han Qingyu Zeng Tingyu Wu Ziming Li Shun Lu Cecilia Williams Weiliang Xia | 2023 | Protein & Cell2023,14,2: | 0
Genome-wide meta-analysis identifies ten new psoriasis susceptibility loci in the Chinese population显示文摘Psoriasis is caused by many factors and is characterized by excessive proliferation of the epidermis and erythema with silver scales on the surface of the skin and concomitant with a variety of diseases(Griffiths et al., 2021). Despite the unclear aetiology, increasing evidence has demonstrated that genetic factors play key roles in the pathogenesis of psoriasis. | Weiwei Chen Wenjun Wang Liang Yong Qi Zhen Yafen Yu Huiyao Ge Yiwen Mao Lu Cao Ruixue Zhang Xia Hu Zhuo Li Yirui Wang Wencheng Fan Qiongqiong Xu Hui Zhang Shirui Chen Jing Wu Liangdan Sun | 2022 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,2: | 0
