1A win-win technique of stabilizing sand dune and purifying paper mill black-liquor显示文摘The principle and technique were reported here to produce lignin-based sand stabilizing material (LSSM) using extracted lignin from black liquor of straw paper mills. Field tests using LSSM to stabilize and green sand dunes were started in 2002. The field experiment was carried out in August 2005 when the newly formed plant community was 3 years old. The results from the comprehensive field experiment demonstrated that unlike polyvinyl acetate or foamed asphalt commonly used for dune stabilization, LSSM was plant- friendly material and could be used in combination with seeding and planting of desert species. With the help of LSSM, the desert species (i.e., Agriophyllum squarrosum (L.) Moq. and Artemisia desertorum Spreng. etc.) could be used to form community in 2-3 yeas and to stabilize sand dune effectively. The newly formed community was sustainable under an extremely dry climate condition. 2Efficacy of Banxia Xiexin decoction in a rat model of chronic atrophic gastritis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effectiveness of Banxia Xiexin decoction(BXD)in a rat model of chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG).METHODS:Sixty 6-week-old healthy Wistar rats(30 males,30 females)were used in the present study.A rat model of CAG was successfully established using the combined active immunization/ethanol/sodium deoxycholate method.BXD was prepared from a mixture of seven Chinese herbs,and was intragastrically administered to CAG rats at three different doses(6,12,and 24 g·kg^-1·d^-1).Af-ter 24 weeks,the rats were euthanized,and gastric tissue specimens were collected.Gastric mucosal specimens were stained with hematoxylin and eosin for histological examination to evaluate the degree of inflammation and morphological changes.Immunohistochemical staining was performed to examine the mucosal expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen.Serum gastrin levels were measured using radioimmunoassay.The expression of Notch signaling-associated genes was examined by quantitative polymerase chain reaction and Western blot assay.RESULTS:BXD at all three doses significantly reversed the adverse effects generated by CAG in rats.Compared with control rats,the CAG rats who were administered BXD had an accelerated growth rate,reduced inflammatory cell infiltration,improved gastric mucosal morphology,augmented thickness of the gastric mucosa,increased number of gastric glands,enhanced mucosal expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen,and elevated serum gastrin levels.Bai Yu Chen Yongcan Chen Yu Yan Maoxiang Wei Hongquan Wang Hengcang Zeng Guoliang Yang Xiyin 2019Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2019,39,6:14

4Microbial diversity accumulates in a downstream direction in the Three Gorges Reservoir显示文摘Organic and inorganic materials migrate downstream and have important roles in regulating environmental health in the river networks.However,it remains unclear whether and how a mixture of materials(i.e.,microbial species)from various upstream habitats contribute to microbial community coalescence upstream of a dam.Here we track the spatial variation in microbial abundance and diversity in the Three Gorges Reservoir based on quantitative PCR and 16 S rRNA gene high-throughput sequencing data.We further quantitatively assess the relative contributions of microbial species from mainstem,its tributaries,and the surrounding riverbank soils to the area immediately upstream of the Three Gorges Dam(TGD).We found an increase of microbial diversity and the convergent microbial distribution pattern in areas immediately upstream of TGD,suggesting this area become a new confluence for microbial diversity immigrating from upstream.Indeed,the number of shared species increased from upstream to TGD but unique species decreased,indicating immigration of various sources of microbial species overwhelms local environmental conditions in structuring microbial community close to TGD.By quantifying the sources of microbial species close to TGD,we found little contribution from soils as compared to tributaries,especially for sites closer to TGD,suggesting tributary microbes have greater influence on microbial diversity and environmental health in the Three Gorges Reservoir.Collectively,our results suggest that tracking microbial geographic origin and evaluating accumulating effects of microbial diversity shed light on the ecological processes in microbial communities and provide information for regulating aquatic ecological health.Shang Wang Weiguo Hou Hongchen Jiang Liuqin Huang Hailiang Dong Shu Chen Bin Wang Yongcan Chen Binliang Lin Ye Deng 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,3:7
5Study on Application of Bi-directional Combination Technology Integrating Residue Hydrotreating with Catalytic Cracking RICP显示文摘After analysing the disadvantages of the traditional residue hydrotreating-catalytic cracking combination process, RIPP has proposed a bi-directional combination technology integrating residue hydrotreating with catalytic cracking called RICP which does not further recycles the FCC heavy cycle oil (HCO) inside the FCC unit and delivers HCO to the residue hydrotreating unit as a diluting oil for the residue that is concurrently subjected to hydrotreating prior to being used as the FCC feed oil. 6Low-carbon Operation of Combined Heat and Power Integrated Plants Based on Solar-assisted Carbon Capture显示文摘Accelerating the development of renewable energy and reducing CO_(2)emissions have become a general consensus and concerted action of all countries in the world. The electric power industry, especially thermal power industry, is the main source for fossil energy consumption and CO_(2)emissions. Since solvent-based post-combustion carbon capture technology would bring massive extra energy consumption, the application of solar-assisted carbon capture technology has attracted extensive attention. Due to the important role of coal-fired combined heat and power plants for serving residential and industrial heating districts, in this paper, the low-carbon operation benefits of combined heat and power integrated plants based on solar-assisted carbon capture(CHPIP-SACC) are fully evaluated in heat and power integrated energy system with a high proportion of wind power. Based on the selected integration scheme, a linear operation model of CHPIP-SACC is developed considering energy flow characteristics and thermal coupling interaction of its internal modules. From the perspective of system-level operation optimization, the day-ahead economic dispatch problem based on a mix-integer linear programming model is presented to evaluate the low-carbon benefits of CHPIP-SACC during annual operation simulation. The numerical simulations on a modified IEEE 39-bus system demonstrate the effectiveness of CHPIP-SACC for reducing CO_(2)emissions as well as increasing the downward flexibility. 9Seasonal characteristics and formation mechanism of the thermohaline structure of mesoscale eddy in the South China Sea显示文摘The seasonal characteristics and formation mechanism of the thermohaline structure of mesoscale eddy in the South China Sea are investigated using the latest eddy dataset and ARMOR3D data. Eddy-centric composites reveal that the horizontal distribution of temperature anomaly associated with eddy in winter is more of a dipole pattern in upper 50 m and tends to be centrosymmetric below 50 m, while in summer the distribution pattern is centrosymmetric in the entire water column. The horizontal distribution of eddy-induced salinity anomaly exhibits similar seasonal characteristics, except that the asymmetry of the salinity anomaly is weaker. The vertical distribution of temperature anomaly associated with eddy shows a monolayer structure, while the salinity anomaly demonstrates a triple-layer structure. 10Roles of Emerging FCC-based Technologies in Shifting to Petrochemicals Production显示文摘The emerging FCC-based technologies are applied in an attempt to shift to the production of designated light olefins(including mainly ethylene and propylene) as well as light aromatics(including benzene, toluene, and xylene)developed by the Research Institute of Petroleum Processing(RIPP), SINOPEC. The RIPP's proprietary technologies covering the Deep Catalytic Cracking(DCC), the Enhanced Deep Catalytic Cracking(DCC-PLUS), and the Maximizing Catalytic Propylene(MCP) have been playing decisive roles in the processing of crude aimed at closer integration of petroleum refining and petrochemical production both inside and outside of China since 1990. 11Enhancement of Enzymatic Saccharification of Wheat Straw Residue by Ammonium Sulfite Pretreatment显示文摘Efficient utilization of wheat straw residue(WSR) from pulp mills is an important priority for the sustainable development of the pulp and paper industry. In this study, the effects of ammonium sulfite(AS) pretreatment with different AS charges(wt%) and pretreatment temperatures on the chemical composition and enzymatic hydrolysis of WSR were studied. The results revealed that more lignin was removed with the increase of pretreatment temperature and AS charge. The degradation of hemicellulose became severe at high pretreatment temperature, while cellulose remained stable during the pretreatment process. The enzymatic hydrolysis efficiency of pretreated WSR was increased and then decreased with the increase of the AS charge and pretreatment temperature. The AS charge exerts a stronger effect on enzymatic hydrolysis efficiency than the pretreatment temperature. Glucan and xylan conversion ratios up to 88.9% and 44.9%, respectively, were obtained. 12Implementing of the JPWSPC method in RIV1H for unsteady flow modeling in general river networks显示文摘RIV1H is the stand-alone hydraulic program of CE-QUAL-RIV1, a longitudinal hydraulic and water quality model developed by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Waterways Experiment Station. RIV1H solves the Saint-Venant equations using the widely accepted four-point implicit Preissmann scheme, and the resulting nonlinear equations are solved using the Newton-Raphson method. RIV1H is capable of simulating multiple branches, and in-stream hydraulic control structures. It treats tributary networks using a double sweep algorithm based on upstream ordering of the branches. It treats the control structures following a downstream solution order, which also is based on the upstream ordering of the branches. Since an upstream ordering cannot be achieved for looped networks, RIV1H is only applicable to non-looped tributary networks. In the current study, the junction-point water stage prediction and correction (JPWSPC) method is extended to take into account the control structures and the method is used to improve the RIV1H model, enabling it to be applied to both non-looped and looped networks with in-stream hydraulic control structures. The JPWSPC method makes the linear equation system for each segment complete while maintaining the banded property, thus the system can be independently and efficiently solved. It has the advantages to be efficient, robust, and very suitable for parallel computing. 13Screening of stable internal reference genes by quantitative real-time PCR in humpback grouper Cromileptes altivelis显示文摘Humpback grouper Cromileptes altivelis is one commercial fish with considerable economic value.To determine the expression stabilities of six commonly used internal reference genes in C.altivelis challenged by Vibrio harveyi and viral nervous necrosis virus(VNNV)through quantitative real-time PCR(qRT-PCR),the expression levels of selected genes in five immune organs stimulated with pathogenic infection were carefully evaluated using algorithms of geNorm,NormFinder,and BestKeeper.The results show that the expre ssion stabilities of the six candidate inte rnal reference genes were diffe re nt.Under no rmal physiological conditions,RPL13 were identified as the most stably expressed genes among five different immune organs(liver,spleen,kidney,intestine,and gill).After V.harveyi stimulation,RPL13,RPL13,EF1 A,RPL13,and EF1 A were identified by geNorm,NormFinder,and BestKeeper as the most stable genes in liver,spleen,kidney,intestine,and gill,respectively.Combining these three algorithms suggested that under stimulation of VNNV,RPL13,EF1 A,Actin,RPL13,and Actin were as the most stable genes in liver,spleen,kidney,intestine,and gill,respectively.These results suggest that specific experiment conditions and tissue types shall be considered when selecting the reference genes in qRT-PCR analysis.This study provided a solid foundation for future studies on gene expression of C.altivelis under different conditions.Xiaojuan CHEN Yun SUN Panpan ZHANG Jianlong LI Haiping LI Caoying WEI Zhenjie CAO Yongcan ZHOU 2021Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,5:2

15Assessment of internal controls for data normalization of gene expression after different bacterial stimulation by quantitative real-time PCR in golden pompano Trachinotus blochii显示文摘Trachinotus blochii is one of the important commercial fish species.In this study,we aim to confirm the reliability reference genes in T.blochii during different bacterial challenge through quantitative real-time PCR(qRT-PCR).The expression of the seven selected genes in four immune organs(i.e.,spleen,kidney,intestine,and gill)stimulated with Vibrio harveyi,Edwardsiella tarda,and Streptococcus agalactiae were determined by qRT-PCR.The PCR data was analyzed using the geNorm and NormFinder algorithms.The results showed the selection of the internal controls should be tissue specific when studying gene expression in response to bacterial stimulation.After 48 h of stimulation with V.harveyi,geNorm ranked EF1 A/Actin,18 S rRNA/B2M,UBCE/B2M,and 18 S rRNA/B2M,as the most stably expressed genes in spleen,kidney,intestine,and gill,respectively.After 48 h of stimulation with E.tarda,geNorm ranked 18 S rRNA/EF1 A,18 S rRNA/B2M,B2M/RPL13,and 18 S rRNA/EF1 A,as the most stably expressed genes in spleen,kidney,intestine,and gill,respectively.After 48 h of stimulation with S.agalactiae,18 S rRNA/EF1 A,18 S rRNA/B2 M,B2 M/Actin,and 18 S rRNA/B2M were ranked as the most stably expressed genes in spleen,kidney,intestine,and gill,respectively.Compared to the results analyzed by geNorm,reference genes received similar rankings when using NormFinder software.The results showed that the reference genes appeared to be not only tissue specific,but also specific to the infecting species of bacteria.If one gene is preferred when T.blochii were infected by bacteria,18 S rRNA,B2M,B2M,18 S rRNA may be used in spleen,kidney,intestine,and gill,respectively.CHEN Xiaojuan ZHANG Xiaoqi SUN Yun TU Zhigang CAO Zhenjie WANG Shifeng ZHOU Yongcan 2020Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,2:1

20Sulfite-Formaldehyde Pulping and Oxygen Delignification of Wheat Straw显示文摘In this study,wheat straw pulp was prepared by sulfiteformaldehyde(SF) pulping combined with oxygen delignification to develop a sustainable methodology for chemical pulping of straw materials.The bleachability of oxygen-delignified SF pulp was also evaluated by hypochlorite bleaching.The results indicated that the Na_2SO_3 charge played an important role in lignin removal during SF pulping as well as oxygen delignification.The efficiency of oxygen delignification of wheat straw SF pulp was markedly high.After the oxygenation stage,the Kappa number decreased by over 50%(the original Kappa number of SF pulp was lower than 30) when the Na OH charge was in the range of 3%~5%.The optimal conditions for preparing bleached pulp via combined SF pulping and oxygen delignification involved the use of 12% of Na_2SO_3 and 3% of Na OH,respectively.Pulp with relatively high brightness,a low Kappa number,as well as an acceptable viscosity could be obtained when oxygen-delignified SF pulp was bleached with hypochlorite under a low active chlorine dosage.WenJuan Wu Yu Zhang Bo Jiang YongCan Jin 2017Paper And Biomaterials2017,2,3:1
