| 5 | Oxide transformation and break-up of liquid metal in boiling solutions显示文摘The non-toxic gallium-based liquid metals(LMs) are promising for various newly emerging areas due to having excellent fluidity, high electrical and heat conductivity. However, the oxide layers often affect their applications. In this paper, we disclosed a straightforward boiling strategy to efficiently remove the oxide of LM in deionized water. Meanwhile such method was also demonstrated to be capable of quickly breaking up LM into droplets(mean 0.51 mm, SD 0.20 mm) in Na Cl solution,which has important value for manufacture purpose. According to the force analysis, surface tension of LM dominates the interaction between solution bubbles and LM under the same heating conditions. Then we characterized the surface morphology and compositions of LM droplets boiled(LMDB) using scanning electron microscope(SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Xray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and tested the dynamic force between a rod and LMDB. It was shown that after being boiled in water, most of Ga2O3 was transformed to scattered α-Ga OOH nanorods which has less restriction to the deformation of LM and large resistance force(0.8 mN) was tested;otherwise, after boiled in Na Cl solution, more Ga2 O3 with contact patch structure reduces the surface resistance of LM(0.2 m N) and makes it to be broken up by bubbles. The different surface products are determined by the inhibition of hydrolysis of Ga3+by Na Cl solution. This study paved a simple way for oxide removal in neutral solution and mass production of LMD. | 6 | Detection of chlorpyrifos in apples using gold nanoparticles based on surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy显示文摘In this study,gold nanoparticles(AuNPs)were synthesized for rapid and sensitive characterization and quantification of chlorpyrifos in apples.Min-max signal adaptive zooming and second derivative transformation method were adopted to pre-process Raman spectral signal.The min-max signal adaptive zooming method showed a higher correlation coefficient than derivative transformation when developing linear calibration curve between chlorpyrifos pesticide and Raman spectral peak intensity.The present method had a high reproducibility with the relative standard deviation less than 15%.Regression models showed a good linear relationship(R=0.962)between intensity of characteristic spectral peaks(at 677 cm-1)and chlorpyrifos concentration on whole apples ranging from 0.13 mg/kg to 7.59 mg/kg.The application of surface enhancement Raman spectroscopy(SERS)detected chlorpyrifos pesticide to the detection limit of 0.13 mg/kg,which can be applied further for lower concentration in the future.The method presented in this study can provide a way-out for detection of pesticide residue in whole apple to trace amount. | Zhai Chen Li Yongyu Peng Yankun Xu Tianfeng | 2015 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,5: | 1 |

| 9 | Efficacy and safety of direct-acting antiviral agent regimens in a real-world cohort of adult Chinese patients with chronic hepatitis C virus infection显示文摘Background and aims:To investigate the safety and efficacy of direct-acting antiviral(DAA)regimens in a cohort of Chinese patients with chronic hepatitis C virus(HCV)infection.Methods:A total of 222 adult Chinese patients were enrolled and treated via DAA regimens in accor-dance with HCV management guidelines.Treatment responses were evaluated 4 weeks after treatment,at the end of treatment(EOT)and 12 weeks post-treatment.Virological responses,biochemical re-sponses,model for end-stage liver disease(MELD)and Child-Pugh(CP)scores were recorded.Results:A total of 218 patients(98.2%)achieved sustained virological response 12 weeks post-treatment and 4 patients relapsed.The combined number of rapid virological responses for all six regimens was 170/222(76.6%),and 221/222(99.6%)had achieved virological responses by the end of treatment.In decompensated cirrhosis patients the baseline mean CP score was 6.8±1.3 and the mean MELD score was 10.1±3.3.Compared with the mean CP score at baseline,the mean score is significantly lower at the end of treatment(5.7±1.3)and 12 weeks post-treatment(5.6±1.0).Estimated glomerular filtration rates did not differ significantly from baseline during the treatment or 12 weeks post-treatment.The incidence of adverse events in patients with chronic hepatitis C and compensated cirrhosis was 42/172(24.4%),and in patients with decompensated cirrhosis it was 8/22(36.4%).The most frequently reported adverse events were elevated indirect bilirubin,fatigue and rash.There were no cases of serious adverse events,death or treatment discontinuation because of adverse events.Conclusion:DAA regimens were highly effective and well tolerated irrespective of HCV genotype,cirrhosis,liver or kidney transplantation,hepatocellular carcinoma,HCV/hepatitis B virus co-infection,or renal failure. | Jinyuan Wei Yongyu Mei Jianping Li Jing Yuan Xiaohua Yang Zhen Xu Guoli Lin Juan Zhang Zhixin Zhao Xiaohong Zhang | 2020 | Liver Research2020,4,2: | 0 |
| 10 | The relationship between zinc deficiency and infectious complications in patients with hepatitis B virus-related acute-on-chronic liver failure显示文摘Background The prevalence of zinc deficiency is high in patients with chronic liver disease,but few studies have hitherto explored the relationship between the serum zinc level and hepatitis B virus(HBV)-related acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF).This study aimed to assess the association between zinc deficiency and infectious complications,and model for end-stage liver disease(MELD)score in patients with HBV-related ACLF.Methods Patients with HBV-related ACLF from the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University(Guangzhou,China)between January 2019 and December 2019 were retrospectively analysed in this study.Their demographic,clinical,and laboratory data were retrieved from the hospital information system and analysed.The Student’s t-test was used for normally distributed continuous variables between two groups and the Chi-square test was used for categorical data.Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were applied to identify independent parameters.Results A total of 284 patients were included in this study,including 205 liver cirrhosis and 79 non-cirrhosis patients.The proportion of patients with zinc deficiency was the highest(84.5%),followed by subclinical zinc deficiency(14.1%)and normal zinc level(1.4%).Patients in the zinc deficiency group had a higher MELD score than the subclinical zinc deficiency or normal zinc group(P=0.021).Age,total bilirubin,and serum zinc level were independent factors for infection(P_(s)<0.05).The serum zinc level in patients without complications at admission was significantly higher than that in patients with complications(P=0.004).Moreover,the serum zinc level in patients with prothrombin time activity(PTA)of<20%was significantly lower than that in patients with 20%≤PTA<30%(P=0.007)and that in patients with 30%≤PTA<40%(P<0.001).Conclusions Zinc deficiency is common in patients with HBV-related ACLF.Zinc deficiency is closely associated with infectious complications and MELD score in patients with HBV-related ACLF. | Xinhua Li Lu Wang Na He Yeqiong Zhang Jiahui Pang Heping Wang Meng Yu Yongyu Mei Liang Peng Wenxiong Xu | 2022 | Gastroenterology Report2022,10,1: | 0 |
| 11 | Protein-based biomaterials for combating viral infections:Current status and future prospects for development显示文摘The outbreak of viral infections are serious threat to human life and health.However,there remains to be a lack of effective treatments and prophylactic measures against some viral infections.Additionally,there are numerous challenges in developing vaccines and antiviral drugs(e.g.,antibodies and protein inhibitors),such as low immunogenicity of vaccines,difficulties in storing vaccines,instability and easy degradation of protein drugs,and lack of drug selectivity.Protein-based biomaterials can interact with antiviral drugs or vaccines to achieve synergistic or enhanced effects,making them a promising antiviral tool with many advantages.Silk fibroin has the potential to stabilize liquid vaccines at room temperature.Elastin-like polypeptide modification can improve the stability and yield of virus-neutralizing antibodies.Drugs in combination withβ-casein or serum albumin(SA)has good prospects in treating human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)infections.Moreover,the greatest value of SA as a protein-based antiviral material lies in its ability to target the liver and macrophages.In the future,combination with SA(direct conjugation or encapsulation with drugs)may be a better treatment strategy for viral hepatitis and HIV infections because it leads to fewer adverse reactions.In addition,selfassembling protein nanoparticles(SApNPs)are found to improve vaccine immunogenicity.The combination of multiple viral immunogens and multiple SApNPs produces different promising vaccine candidates,thus highlighting the value of SApNPs.This review aimed to discuss the current status and future prospects for the development of protein-based biomaterials to combat viral infections. | Yongyue Han Juanli Pan Yanhong Ma Dongfang Zhou Wei Xu | 2022 | Biosafety and Health2022,4,2: | 0 |

| 14 | Clay minerals and elemental composition of sediments on different sedimentary units in the northern East China Sea shelf:provenance tracing and genetic mechanism analysis显示文摘The composition,provenance,and genetic mechanism of sediment on different sedimentary units of the East China Sea(ECS)shelf are essential for understanding the depositional dynamics environment in the ECS.The sediments in the northern ECS shelf are distributed in a ring-shaped distribution centered on the southwestern Cheju Island Mud.From the inside to the outside,the grain size goes from fine to coarse.Aside from the“grain size effect”,hydrodynamic sorting and mineral composition are important restrictions on the content of rare earth elements(REEs).Based on the grain size,REEs,and clay mineral composition of 300 surface sediments,as well as the sedimentary genesis,the northern ECS shelf is divided into three geochemical zones:southwestern Cheju Island Mud Area(ZoneⅠ),Changjiang Shoal Sand Ridges(ZoneⅡ-1),Sand Ridges of the East China Sea shelf(ZoneⅡ-2).The northern ECS shelf is mostly impacted by Chinese mainland rivers(the Changjiang River and Huanghe River),and the provenance and transport mechanism of sediments of different grain sizes is diverse.The bulk sediments come primarily from the Changjiang River,with some material from the Huanghe River carried by the Yellow Sea Coastal Current and the North Jiangsu Coastal Current,and less from Korean rivers.Among them,surface sediments in the southwestern Cheju Island Mud Area(ZoneⅠ)come mostly from the Changjiang River and partly from the Huanghe River.It was formed by the counterclockwise rotating cold eddies in the northern ECS shelf,which caused the sedimentation and accumulation of the fine-grained sediments of the Changjiang River and the Huanghe River.The Changjiang Shoal Sand Ridges(ZoneⅡ-1)were developed during the early-middle Holocene sea-level highstand.It is the modern tidal sand ridge sediment formed by intense hydrodynamic action under the influence of the Yellow Sea Coastal Current,North Jiangsu Coastal Current,and Changjiang Diluted Water.The surface sediments mainly originate from the Changjiang River and Huanghe River,with the Changjiang River dominating,and the Korean River(Hanjiang River)influencing just a few stations.Sand Ridges of the East China Sea shelf(ZoneⅡ-2)are the relict sediments of the paleo-Changjiang River created by sea invasion at the end of the Last Deglaciation in the Epipleistocene.The clay mineral composition of the surface sediments in the study area is just dominated by the Changjiang River,with the North Jiangsu Coastal Current and the Changjiang Diluted Water as the main transporting currents. | Xiaoyan Xu Yong Zhang Yanguang Dou Jingyi Cong Beibei Mi Xiaohui Chen Xia Li Chengfen Xu Yongyu Ye | 2023 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,11: | 0 |
