1Detection of a half-microgal coseismic gravity change after the Ms7. 0 Lushan earthquake显示文摘Because only a small near-field coseismic gravity change signal remains after removal of noise from the accuracy of observations and the time and spatial resolution of the earth's surface gravity observation system,it is difficult to verify simulations of dislocation theory.In this study,it is shown that the GS15 gravimeter,located 99.5 km from the epicenter of the Ms7.0 Lushan earthquake on April 20,2013 at 08∶04 UTC+8,showed the influence of the earthquake from 2013-04-16 to 2013-04-26 after a time calibration,tide corrections,drift correction,period correction and relaxation correction were applied to its data.The post-seismic relaxation process of the spring in the gravimeter took approximately 430 minutes and showed a 2.5×10-8ms-2gravity change.After correcting for the relaxation process,it is shown that a coseismic gravity change of approximately+0.59±0.4×10-8ms-2was observed by the GS15 gravimeter;this agrees with the simulated gravity change of approximately 0.31×10-8ms-2.The rate of the coseismic gravity change and the coseismic vertical displacement,as measured by one-second and one-day sampling interval GPS units,is also consistent with the theoretical rate of change.Therefore,the GS15 gravimeter at the Pixian Station observed a coseismic gravity change after the Ms7.0 Lushan earthquake.This and similar measurements could be applied to test and confirm the theory used for these simulations.Wei Jin Zhao Bin Tan Hongbo Yu Dan Shen Chongyang Li Hui 2013Geodesy and Geodynamics2013,4,3:7
2Recent progress in preventive effect of collagen peptides on photoaging skin and action mechanism显示文摘Ultraviolet(UV)-induced photoaging skin has become an urgent issue.The functional foods and cosmetics aiming to improve skin photoaging are developing rapidly,and the demand is gradually increasing year by year.Collagen peptides have been proven to display diverse physiological activities,such as excellent moisture retention activity,hygroscopicity,tyrosinase inhibitory activity and antioxidant activity,which indicates that they have great potential in amelioration of UV-induced photoaging.The main objective of this article is to recap the main mechanisms to improve photoaging skin by collagen peptides and their physiological activities in photo-protection.Furthermore,the extraction and structural characteristics of collagen peptides are overviewed.More importantly,some clinical trials on the beneficial effect on skin of collagen peptides are also discussed.In addition,prospects and challenges of collagen peptides are emphatically elucidated in this review.This article implies that collagen peptides have great potential as an effective ingredient in food and cosmetics industry with a wide application prospect.Chongyang Li Yu Fu Hongjie Dai Qiang Wang Ruichang Gao Yuhao Zhang 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,2:7
3Domesticated cynomolgus monkey embryonic stem cells allow the generation of neonatal interspecies chimeric pigs显示文摘Blastocyst complementation by pluripotent stem cell(PSC)injection is believed to be the most promising method to generate xenogeneic organs.However,ethical issues prevent the study of human chimeras in the late embryonic stage of development.Primate embryonic stem cells(ESCs),which have similar pluripotency to human ESCs,are a good model for studying interspecies chimerism and organ generation.However,whether primate ESCs can be used in xenogenous grafts remains unclear.In this study,we evaluated the chimeric ability of cynomolgus monkey(Macaca fascicularis)ESCs(cmESCs)in pigs,which are excellent hosts because of their many similarities to humans.We report an optimized culture medium that enhanced the anti-apoptotic ability of cmESCs and improved the development of chimeric embryos,in which domesticated cmESCs(D-ESCs)injected into pig blastocysts differentiated into cells of all three germ layers.In addition,we obtained two neonatal interspecies chimeras,in which we observed tissue-specific D-ESC differentiation.Taken together,the results demonstrate the capability of D-ESCs to integrate and differentiate into functional cells in a porcine model,with a chimeric ratio of 0.001-0.0001 in different neonate tissues.We believe this work will facilitate future developments in xenogeneic organogenesis,bringing us one step closer to producing tissue-specific functional cells and organs in a large animal model through interspecies blastocyst complementation.Rui Fu Dawei Yu Jilong Ren Chongyang Li Jing Wang Guihai Feng Xuepeng Wang Haifeng Wan Tianda Li Libin Wang Ying Zhang Tang Hai Wei Li Qi Zhou 2020Protein & Cell2020,11,2:4

8The effect of various cations/anions for MgH_(2) hydrolysis reaction显示文摘MgH_(2) is regarded as a potential hydrolysis material for the hydrogen generation due to its high theoretical hydrogen yield,abundant source on earth and environmentally friendly hydrolysates.However,the quickly formed passive magnesium hydroxide layer on the surface of MgH_(2) will hinder its further hydrolysis reaction,leading to sluggish reaction kinetics and low H_(2) yield.In this paper,we explore the improvement of different anions and cations in solutions for the hydrolysis of MgH_(2).It is found that the cations in the solution promote the reaction rate of MgH_(2) hydrolysis through the hydrolysate-induced growth effect,among which the fastest hydrogen yield can get 1664 m L/g within a few minutes in the Fe_(2)(SO_(4))_(3) solution.As for the anions,it enables different microstructures of the Mg(OH)_(2) hydrolysate which give rise to enhanced water utilization.Specially,for the mixed 0.5 M MgCl_(2)+0.05 M MgSO_(4) solution,the water utilization rate attains the optimum value of 51.3%,much higher than that of the single MgCl_(2) or MgSO_(4) solutions.These findings are of great significance for the application of MgH_(2) hydrolysis as hydrogen generation.Chongyang Yuan Wei Chen Zunxian Yang Zhenguo Huang Xuebin Yu 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,14:1

10Composite laminar membranes for electricity generation from water evaporation显示文摘Harvesting clean energy from water evaporation has been extensively investigated due to its sustainability.To achieve high efficiency,energy conversion materials should contain multiple features which are difficult to be simultaneously obtained from single-component materials.Here we use composite laminar membranes assembled by nanosheets of graphene oxide and mica,and find a sustained power density induced by water evaporation that is two orders of magnitude larger than that from membranes made by either of the components.The power output is attributed to selective proton transport driven by water evaporation through the interlayer nanochannels in the membranes.This process relies on the synergistic effects from negatively charged and hydrophilic mica surfaces that are important for proton selectivity and water transport,and the tunable electrical conductivity of graphene oxide that provides optimized internal resistance.The demonstrated composite membranes offer a strategy of enhancing power generation by combining the advantages from each of their components.Xiao Wang Gang Yuan Han Zhou Yu Jiang Shuo Wang Jiaojiao Ma Chongyang Yang Sheng Hu 2024Nano Research2024,17,1:0

14Improve meat production and virus resistance by simultaneously editing multiple genes in livestock using Cas12i^(Max)显示文摘The clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated gene(Cas) system is continually optimized to achieve the most efficient gene editing effect. The Cas12i^(Max), a Cas12i variant, exhibits powerful DNA editing activity and enriches the gene editing toolbox. However, the application of Cas12i^(Max)in large domestic animals has not yet been reported. To verify the efficiency and feasibility of multiple gene editing in large animals, we generated porcine fibroblasts with simultaneous knockouts of IGF2, ANPEP, CD163,and MSTN via Cas12i^(Max)in one step. Phenotypically stable pigs were created through somatic cell nuclear transfer technology. They exhibited improved growth performance and muscle quality. Furthermore, we simultaneously edited three genes in bovine fibroblasts. A knockout of MSTN and PRNP was created and the amino acid Q-G in CD18 was precisely substituted. Meanwhile, no off-target phenomenon was observed by sum-type analysis or off-target detection. 15Artificial Intelligence Based Multi-Scenario mmWave Channel Modeling for Intelligent High-Speed Train Communications显示文摘A large amount of mobile data from growing high-speed train(HST)users makes intelligent HST communications enter the era of big data.The corresponding artificial intelligence(AI)based HST channel modeling becomes a trend.This paper provides AI based channel characteristic prediction and scenario classification model for millimeter wave(mmWave)HST communications.Firstly,the ray tracing method verified by measurement data is applied to reconstruct four representative HST scenarios.By setting the positions of transmitter(Tx),receiver(Rx),and other parameters,the multi-scenarios wireless channel big data is acquired.Then,based on the obtained channel database,radial basis function neural network(RBF-NN)and back propagation neural network(BP-NN)are trained for channel characteristic prediction and scenario classification.Finally,the channel characteristic prediction and scenario classification capabilities of the network are evaluated by calculating the root mean square error(RMSE).The results show that RBF-NN can generally achieve better performance than BP-NN,and is more applicable to prediction of HST scenarios.Zhang Mengjiao Liu Yu Huang Jie He Ruisi Zhang Jingfan Yu Chongyang Wang Chengxiang 2024China Communications2024,21,3:0

17Detection of Geochemical Element Assemblage Anomalies Using a Local Correlation Approach显示文摘As direct prospecting data,geochemical data play an important role in modelling prospect potential.Geochemical element assemblage anomalies are usually reflected by the correlation between elements.Correlation coefficients are computed from the values of two elements,which reflect only the correlation at a global level.Thus,the spatial details of the correlation structure are ignored.In fact,an element combination anomaly often exists in geological backgrounds,such as on a fault zone or within a lithological unit.This anomaly may cause some combination of anomalies that are submerged inside the overall area and thus cannot be effectively extracted.To address this problem,we propose a local correlation coefficient based on spatial neighbourhoods to reflect the global distribution of elements.In this method,the sampling area is first divided into a set of uniform grid cells.A moving window with a size of 3×3 is defined with an integer of 3 to represent the sampling unit.The local correlation in each unit is expressed by the Pearson correlation coefficient.The whole area is scanned by the moving window,which produces a correlation coefficient matrix,and the result is portrayed with a thermal diagram.The local correlation approach was tested on two selected geochemical soil survey sites in Xiao Mountain,Henan Province.The results show that the areas of high correlation are mainly distributed in the fault zone or the known mineral spots.Therefore,the local correlation method is effective in extracting geochemical element combination anomalies.Xianchuan Yu Shicheng Wang Hao Wang Yuchen Liang Siying Chen Kang Wu Zhaoying Yang Chongyang Li Yunzhen Chang Ying Zhan Wang Yao Dan Hu 2021Journal of Earth Science2021,32,2:0
18Coal and rock dynamic disaster prevention and control technology in the large mining face of a deep outburst mine显示文摘In this study, we systematically studied the occurrence regularity of in situ stress in the Pingdingshan mine. The critical criterion model of coal-rock destabilization was established based on the theoretical framework of fracture mechanics. Furthermore, we analyzed the coupling destabilization mechanism of in situ stress and gas and studied the influence of the variation between original rock stress and mining-induced stress on the critical criterion. Through field experiments and applications, we established a three-dimensional gas drainage technology system for areas with a large mining height and long work face. Based on our research, a demonstration project was developed for deep mine dynamic disaster control. The technical system included the arrangement and optimization of pre-drainage holes along the coal seam, technology, and optimization of gas drainage through the bottom drainage tunnel and upper corner, gas drainage technology through sieve tubes, and a two plugging with one injection under pressure sealing technology. 19Study on in situ stress testing method based on Kaiser effect of acoustic emission and COMSOL simulation显示文摘In situ stress testing can improve the safety and efficiency of coal mining.Identifying the Kaiser effect point is vital for in situ stress calculations;however,the in situ stress calculation is limited by the rock sampling angle.Here,the Kaiser effect point identification theory is established and applied to the Xuyong Coal Mine.Uniaxial compression and acoustic emission experiments were carried out on sandstone with 6 sampling directions.Furthermore,COMSOL simulation is applied to study the in situ stress distribution in the coal mine to verify the calculation accuracy.The results are as follows.1)The failure mode of non-bedded and vertical-bedded rocks is primarily tensile shear failure with obvious brittleness in mechanical and acoustic emission characteristics.Shear slip along the bedding plane is the primary failure mode of inclined-bedded rock.Additional take-off points exist in the AE count curve.2)The Kaiser point identification method based on the variation of AE count curve parametersΔti andτi can effectively calculate the in situ stress.According to the numerical value of Kaiser point and sampling direction,the in situ stress of the conveyor roadway in the Xuyong Coal Mine was calculated asσ1=22.81 MPa,σ2=10.87 MPa andσ3=6.14 MPa.3)By the COMSOL simulation study,it was found that a stress concentration zone of 16.13 MPa exists near the two sides roadway.Compared with the Kaiser effect method,the deviation rates of the three-direction principal stress calculated by COMSOL were all less than 5%.This verifies that the in situ stress calculation by Kaiser effect in this study can be applied to the Xuyong Coal Mine.Chenyu WANG Dongming ZHANG Shujian LI Yu CHEN Chongyang WANG Kangde REN 2023Frontiers of Earth Science2023,17,3:0
20Distance-basedα-amylase biosensor fabricated with amylopectin-coated mesoporous membrane显示文摘Paper-based biosensors are widely employed in point-of-care testing(POCT)due to their convenience,portability,low cost,and ease of use.This study reports an integrated distance-based paper biosensor fabricated with a mesoporous membrane coated with stimuli-responsive polymer.The detection ofα-amylase(AMY)using amylopectin-coated mesoporous membrane is demonstrated as an example.After introducing the AMY solution,it is observed that the aqueous solution flows along the paper strip due to AMY-catalyzed hydrolysis of amylopectin.The flow distance is proportional to the concentration of AMY with a detection limit as low as 4 mU/mL.In addition,the detection of AMY is demonstrated in human serum.Furthermore,the inhibitory effect of acarbose on AMY is evaluated.This reagent-free and disposable biosensor allows single-step rapid detection of the analyte.This approach is very promising for the development of user-friendly,equipment-free,and cost-effective biosensors with remarkable sensitivity and excellent selectivity for disease diagnosis and hypoglycemic drug screening.Binglu Zhao Mashooq Khan Yulin Liu Wenjun Tai Chongyang Mu Wenli Wu Mei Zhao Yaohong Ma Li Yu Jin-Ming Lin Qiongzheng Hu 2024Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,1:0
