2Synthesis of rod-like metal-organic framework(MOF-5)nanomaterial for efficient removal of U(Ⅵ):batch experiments and spectroscopy study显示文摘With the widespread application of radionuclide235 U(Ⅵ), it is inevitable that part of U(Ⅵ) is released into the natural environment. The potential toxicity and irreversibility impact on the natural environment has become one of the most forefront pollution problems in nuclear energy utilization. In this work, rod-like metal-organic framework(MOF-5) nanomaterial was synthesized by a solvothermal method and applied to efficiently adsorb U(Ⅵ) from aqueous solutions. The batch experimental results showed that the sorption of U(Ⅵ) on MOF-5 was strongly dependent on p H and independent of ionic strength, indicating that the dominant interaction mechanism was inner-sphere surface complexation and electrostatic interaction. The maximum sorption capacity of U(Ⅵ) on MOF-5 was 237.0 mg/g at p H 5.0 and T = 298 K, and the sorption equilibrium reached within 5 min. The thermodynamic parameters indicated that the removal of U(Ⅵ) on MOF-5 was a spontaneous and endothermic process. Additionally, the FT-IR and XPS analyses implied that the high sorption capacity of U(Ⅵ) on MOF-5 was mainly attributed to the abundant oxygen-containing functional groups(i.e., CAO and C@O). 5Application of next-generation sequencing technology to precision medicine in cancer: joint consensus of the Tumor Biomarker Committee of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology显示文摘Next-generation sequencing(NGS) technology is capable of sequencing millions or billions of DNA molecules simultaneously.Therefore, it represents a promising tool for the analysis of molecular targets for the initial diagnosis of disease, monitoring of disease progression, and identifying the mechanism of drug resistance. On behalf of the Tumor Biomarker Committee of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology(CSCO) and the China Actionable Genome Consortium(CAGC), the present expert group hereby proposes advisory guidelines on clinical applications of NGS technology for the analysis of cancer driver genes for precision cancer therapy. This group comprises an assembly of laboratory cancer geneticists, clinical oncologists, bioinformaticians,pathologists, and other professionals. After multiple rounds of discussions and revisions, the expert group has reached a preliminary consensus on the need of NGS in clinical diagnosis, its regulation, and compliance standards in clinical sample collection. 7Whole genome sequencing of 10K patients with acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack: design, methods and baseline patient characteristics显示文摘Background and purpose Stroke is the second leading cause of death worldwide and the leading cause of mortality and long-term disability in China,but its underlying risk genes and pathways are far from being comprehensively understood.We here describe the design and methods of whole genome sequencing(WGS)for 10914 patients with acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack from the Third China National Stroke Registry(CNSR-III).Methods Baseline clinical characteristics of the included patients in this study were reported.DNA was extracted from white blood cells of participants.Libraries are constructed using qualified DNA,and WGS is conducted on BGISEQ-500 platform.The average depth is intended to be greater than 30×for each subject.Afterwards,Sentieon software is applied to process the sequencing data under the Genome Analysis Toolkit best practice guidance to call genotypes of single nucleotide variants(SNVs)and insertion-deletions.For each included subject,21 fingerprint SNVs are genotyped by MassARRAY assays to verify that DNA sample and sequencing data originate from the same individual.The copy number variations and structural variations are also called for each patient.All of the genetic variants are annotated and predicted by bioinformatics software or by reviewing public databases.Results The average age of the included 10914 patients was 62.2±11.3 years,and 31.4%patients were women.Most of the baseline clinical characteristics of the 10914 and the excluded patients were balanced.Conclusions The WGS data together with abundant clinical and imaging data of CNSR-III could provide opportunity to elucidate the molecular mechanisms and discover novel therapeutic targets for stroke.Si Cheng Zhe Xu Yang Liu Jinxi Lin Yong Jiang Yilong Wang Xia Meng Anxin Wang Xinying Huang Zhimin Wang Guohua Chen Songdi Wu Zhengchang Jia Yongming Chen Xuerong Qiu Jun Wu Binbin Song Weizhong Ji Zhongping An Wenjun Xue Lili Zhao Yu Geng Hongyan Li Hao Li Yongjun Wang 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,2:8
8Effect of circumferential strain rate on dynamic recrystallization and texture of Mg-13Gd-4Y-2Zn-0.5Zr alloy during rotary backward extrusion显示文摘Gleeble-3500 thermal simulator was applied to realize the rotary backward extrusion forming of Mg-13Gd-4Y-2Zn-0.5Zr(wt%)alloy at different circumferential strain rate from 0.009 s^(-1)to 0.027 s^(-1)at 400℃and the dynamic recrystallization mechanism and texture evolution were studied.The results show that the grain size of the alloy was obviously refined after rotary backward extrusion.As the circumferenlial strain rate increased,the dynamic recrystallization fraction gradually increased causing the grain size decreased and the distribution of microstructure became more uniform.At the same time,the texture of{0001},{10-10},{11-20}was weakened and the grain orientation distribution became more random.With the increase of circumferential strain rate,the discontinuous dynamic recrystallization mechanism became dominant,which promoted the weakening of texture and grain refinement of the alloy.Yingze Meng Jianmin Yu Guanshi Zhang Yaojin Wu Zhimin Zhang Zheng Shi 2020Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2020,8,4:7
9A Multicenter Study of Viral Aetiology of Community-Acquired Pneumonia in Hospitalized Children in Chinese Mainland显示文摘Community-acquired pneumonia(CAP) is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in children worldwide.In this study,we aimed to describe the aetiology of viral infection of pediatric CAP in Chinese mainland.During November2014 to June 2016,the prospective study was conducted in 13 hospitals.The hospitalized children under 18 years old who met the criteria for CAP were enrolled.The throat swabs or nasopharyngeal aspirates(NPAs) were collected which were then screened 18 respiratory viruses using multiplex PCR assay.Viral pathogens were present in 56.6%(1539/2721) of the enrolled cases,with the detection rate of single virus in 39.8% of the cases and multiple viruses in 16.8% of the cases.The most frequently detected virus was respiratory syncytial virus(RSV)(15.2%,414/2721).The highest detection rate of virus was in <6-month-age group(70.7%,292/413).RSV,human metapneumovirus(HMPV),human parainfluenza viruses(HPIVs) and influenza B virus(Flu B) showed the similar prevalence patterns both in north and south China,but HPIVs,Flu A,human bocavirus(HBoV),human adenovirus(HAdV) and human coronaviruses(HCoVs) showed the distinct circulating patterns in north and south China.Human enterovirus/human rhinovirus(HEV/HRV)(27.6%,27/98),HBoV(18.4%,18/98),RSV(16.3%,16/98) and HMPV(14.3%,14/98) were the most commonly detected viruses in severe pneumonia cases with single virus infection.In conclusion,viral pathogens are frequently detected in pediatric CAP cases and may therefore play a vital role in the aetiology of CAP.RSV was the most important virus in hospitalized children with CAP in Chinese mainland.Yun Zhu Baoping Xu Changchong Li Zhimin Chen Ling Cao Zhou Fu Yunxiao Shang Aihuan Chen Li Deng Yixiao Bao Yun Sun Limin Ning Shuilian Yu Fang Gu Chunyan Liu Ju Yin Adong Shen Zhengde Xie Kunling Shen 2021Virologica Sinica2021,36,6:7
10Rare earth element geochemistry of hydrothermal deposits from Southwest Indian Ridge显示文摘The REE compositions of hydrothermal deposits and basalt samples from the Southwest Indian Ridge (SWIR) were determined with ICP-MS.The results show that there are significant differences between different types of samples although all samples show relative LREE enrichment.The contents of REE in hydrothermal sulfides and alterated rocks samples are lower (from 7.036 × 10 6 to 23.660 × 10 6),while those in the white chimney deposits are relatively higher (ranging from 84.496 × 10 6 to 103.511 × 10 6).Both of them are lower than basalts.Chondrite-normalized REE distribution patterns show that sulfides and alterated rocks samples are characterized by significant positive Eu anomalies.On the contrary,white chimney deposits have obvious negative Eu anomalies,which may be caused by abundant calcite existing in the white chimney samples.Both the content and distribution pattern of REE in sulfides suggest that REE most possibly is originally derived from hydrothermal fluids,but influenced by the submarine reducing ore-forming environment,seawater convection,mineral compositions as well as the constraint of mineral crystallizations.CAO Zhimin CAO Hong TAO Chunhui LI Jun YU Zenghui SHU Liping 2012Acta Oceanologica Sinica2012,31,2:6
11Modulation of nitrate-induced phosphate response by the MYB transcription factor RLI1/HINGE1 in the nucleus显示文摘The coordinated utilization of nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)is vital for plants to maintain nutrient balance and achieve optimal growth.Previously,we revealed a mechanism by which nitrate induces genes for phosphate utilization;this mechanism depends on NRT1.1B-facilitated degradation of cytoplasmic SPX4,which in turn promotes cytoplasmic-nuclear shuttling of PHR2,the central transcription factor of phosphate signaling,and triggers the nitrate-induced phosphate response(NIPR)and N-P coordinated utilization in rice.In this study,we unveiled a fine-tuning mechanism of NIPR in the nucleus regulated by Highly Induced by Nitrate Gene 1(HINGE1,also known as RLI1),a MYB-transcription factor closely related to PHR2.RLI1/HINGE1,which is transcriptionally activated by PHR2 under nitrate induction,can directly activate the expression of phosphate starvation-induced genes.More importantly,RLI1/HINGE1 competes with PHR2 for binding to its repressor proteins in the nucleus(SPX proteins),and consequently releases PHR2 to further enhance phosphate response.Therefore,RLI1/HINGE1 amplifies the phosphate response in the nucleus downstream of the cytoplasmic SPX4-PHR2 cascade,thereby enabling fine-tuning of N-P balance when nitrate supply is sufficient.Zhihua Zhang Zhao Li Wei Wang Zhimin Jiang Liping Guo Xiaohan Wang Yangwen Qian Xiahe Huang Yongqiang Liu Xiujie Liu Yahong Liu Aifu Li Yu Yan Junpeng Xie Shouyun Cao Stanislav Kopriva Legong Li Fanjiang Kong Baohui Liu Yingchun Wang Bin Hu Chengcai Chu 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,3:4
12Identifi cation and characterization of the bZIP transcription factor family in yellowhorn显示文摘The basic leucine zipper(bZIP)transcription factor family is one of the largest and most diverse families in plants,regulating plant growth and development and playing an essential role in response to abiotic and biotic stresses.However,little is known about the biological functions of bZIP proteins in yellowhorn(Xanthoceras sorbifolium).Recently,64 XsbZIP genes were identifi ed in the yellowhorn genome and found to be disproportionately distributed in linkage groups.The XsbZIP proteins clustered into 11 groups based on their phylogenetic relationships with AtbZIP,ZmbZIP and GmbZIP proteins.Five intron patterns in the basic and hinge regions and additional conserved motifs were defi ned,both supporting the group classifi cation and possibly contributing to their functional diversity.Compared to tandem duplication,the segment duplication greatly contributed to the expansion of yellowhorn bZIP genes.In addition,most XsbZIP genes harbor several stress responsive cis-elements in their promoter regions.Moreover,the RNA-seq and qRT-PCR data indicated XsbZIP genes were extensively involved in response to various stresses,including salt(NaCl),cold and abscisic acid,with possibly diff erent molecular mechanisms.These results provide a new understanding of the biological functions of bZIP transcription factors in yellowhorn.Qiaoying Chang Xin Lu Zhi Liu Zhimin Zheng Song Yu 2021Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,1:4
13Risk assessment of Giardia from a full scale MBR sewage treatment plant caused by membrane integrity failure显示文摘Membrane bioreactors(MBR) are highly efficient at intercepting particles and microbes and have become an important technology for wastewater reclamation. However, many pathogens can accumulate in activated sludge due to the long residence time usually adopted in MBR, and thus may pose health risks when membrane integrity problems occur.This study presents data from a survey on the occurrence of water-borne Giardia pathogens in reclaimed water from a full-scale wastewater treatment plant with MBR experiencing membrane integrity failure, and assessed the associated risk for green space irrigation. Due to membrane integrity failure, the MBR effluent turbidity varied between 0.23 and 1.90 NTU over a period of eight months. Though this turbidity level still met reclaimed water quality standards(≤ 5 NTU), Giardia were detected at concentrations of 0.3 to 95 cysts/10 L, with a close correlation between effluent turbidity and Giardia concentration. All β-giardin gene sequences of Giardia in the WWTP influents were genotyped as Assemblages A and B, both of which are known to infect humans. An exponential dose–response model was applied to assess the risk of infection by Giardia. The risk in the MBR effluent with chlorination was9.83 × 10-3, higher than the acceptable annual risk of 1.0 × 10-4. 14Electrospinning of Flexible Poly(vinyl alcohol)/MXene Nanofiber-Based Humidity Sensor Self-Powered by Monolayer Molybdenum Diselenide Piezoelectric Nanogenerator显示文摘Two-dimensional material has been widely investigated for potential applications in sensor and flexible electronics.In this work,a self-powered flexible humidity sensing device based on poly(vinyl alcohol)/Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx(PVA/MXene)nanofibers film and monolayer molybdenum diselenide(MoSe2)piezoelectric nanogenerator(PENG)was reported for the first time.The monolayer MoSe_(2)-based PENG was fabricated by atmospheric pressure chemical vapor deposition techniques,which can generate a peak output of 35 mV and a power density of42 mW m^(-2).The flexible PENG integrated on polyethylene terephthalate(PET)substrate can harvest energy generated by different parts of human body and exhibit great application prospects in wearable devices.The electrospinned PVA/MXene nanofiber-based humidity sensor with flexible PET substrate under the driven of monolayer MoSe_(2) PENG,shows high response of~40,fast response/recovery time of 0.9/6.3 s,low hysteresis of 1.8%and excellent repeatability.The self-powered flexible humidity sensor yields the capability of detecting human skin moisture and ambient humidity.This work provides a pathway to explore the high-performance humidity sensor integrated with PENG for the self-powered flexible electronic devices.Dongyue Wang Dongzhi Zhang Peng Li Zhimin Yang Qian Mi Liandong Yu 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,4:4

16N-doped carbon supported Pd catalysts for N-formylation of amines with CO2/H2显示文摘Using mesoporous N-doped carbons(NCs)derived from glucose and melamine as the supports,a series of Pd/NC catalysts were prepared,in which Pd nanoparticles with average size<2.0 nm were uniformly distributed on the supports.It was indicated that the resultant Pd/NC catalysts were effective for N-formylation of amines with CO_2and H_2in ethanol without any additives.Especially,the catalyst Pd/NC-800-6.9%containing quaternary N showed the best performance,affording a series of formylamides in good or even excellent yields.Further investigation reveals that the interaction between the Pd nanoparticles and quaternary nitrogen in the NC support was responsible for the good performance of the catalyst.Xiaoying Luo Hongye Zhang Zhengang Ke Cailing Wu Shien Guo Yunyan Wu Bo Yu Zhimin Liu 2018Science China Chemistry2018,61,6:4
17Site-Specifc Gene Targeting Using Transcription Activator-Like Effector(TALE)-Based Nuclease in Brassica oleracea显示文摘Site-specifc recognition modules with DNA nuclease have tremendous potential as molecular tools for genome targeting.The type III transcription activator-like effectors(TALEs)contain a DNA binding domain consisting of tandem repeats that can be engineered to bind user-defned specifc DNA sequences.We demonstrated that customized TALE-based nucleases(TALENs),constructed using a method called'unit assembly',specifcally target the endogenous FRIGIDA gene in Brassica oleracea L.var.capitata L.The results indicate that the TALENs bound to the target site and cleaved double-strand DNA in vitro and in vivo,whereas the effector binding elements have a 23 bp spacer.The T7 endonuclease I assay and sequencing data show that TALENs made double-strand breaks,which were repaired by a non-homologous end-joining pathway within the target sequence.These data show the feasibility of applying customized TALENs to target and modify the genome with deletions in those organisms that are still in lacking gene target methods to provide germplasms in breeding improvement.Zijian Sun Nianzu Li Guodong Huang Junqiang Xu Yu Pan Zhimin Wang Qinglin Tang Ming Song Xiaojia Wang 2013Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2013,55,11:3
18Identification of yellowhorn(Xanthoceras sorbifolium)WRKY transcription factor family and analysis of abiotic stress response model显示文摘WRKY transcription factors are widely distributed in higher plants and play important roles in many biological processes,including stress resistance.The recently published genome sequence of yellowhorn,an oil tree with robust resistance to cold,drought,heat,salt and alkali,provides an excellent opportunity to identify and characterize the entire yellowhorn WRKY protein family and a basis for the study of abiotic stress resistance of WRKY gene family in forest species.In the present comprehensive analysis of WRKY transcription factors in yellowhorn,65 WRKY genes were identified and defined based on their location on the chromosome.According to their structure and phylogenetic relationships,XsWRKY genes clustered into WRKY groupsⅠ-Ⅲ.Segmental duplication events played a significant role in the expansion of WRKY gene family.Furthermore,transcriptomic data and real-time quantitative PCR analysis showed that expression of XsWRKY genes responding to salt and drought stresses and a hormone treatment.We also determined structures of the encoded proteins,c is-elements of the promoter region,and expression patterns.These results provide a foundation for the study of the biological function of WRKY transcription factors in yellowhorn.Zhi Liu Saiyinduleng Qiaoying Chang Chuwen Cheng Zhimin Zheng Song Yu 2021Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,3:3
19Wuzi Yanzong prescription(五子衍宗丸)from Traditional Chinese Medicine for male infertility:a narrative review显示文摘Wuzi Yanzong prescription(WYP),as a classical prescription for male infertility with kidney essence deficiency,is composed of Gouqizi(Fructus Lycii),Tusizi(Semen Cuscutae),Wuweizi(Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis),Fupenzi(Fructus Rubi Chingii)and Cheqianzi(Semen Plantaginis).It has been used for hundreds of years in the treatment of male infertility,known as“the first prescription of ancient and modern seeds”,with convincing clinical evidence.At present,more than 100 chemical compounds have been isolated from WYP,including polysaccharide,fatty acids,flavonoids,phenylpropanoids,organic acids,alkaloids,terpenoids,etc.Pharmacological and clinical studies show that WYP has an obvious effect on reproductive system diseases,especially male infertility,which has a very wide application prospect.It also has effects on the nervous system,inhibiting liver injury,lowering blood sugar and blood lipid,anti-aging,improving immunity,resisting hypoxia and fatigue effects.This study reviewed the chemical constituents,quality control,pharmacology,and clinical application of WYP.There is no doubt about the clinical value of WYP,but its quality control system is not perfect,pharmacological mechanism is not fully explained,and clinical applications need to be reevaluated.Therefore,the follow-up researches should proceed from the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)and clinical applications,further explain the theoretical connotation,reveal the mechanism of action,and provide the basis for the secondary development of classic famous prescriptions.In addition,WYP is mostly used in combination with western medicines besides being used alone.Whether it can improve the efficacy and reduce side effects will also be a meaningful research direction in the future.CHEN Zhimin AO Mingyue LIAO Yujiao YU Lingying YANG Zhuo HU Lin LI Wenbing HU Changjiang GAO Yongxiang 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,2:3
20Pd nanoparticles immobilized on graphite oxide modified with a base: Highly efficient catalysts for selective hydrogenation of citral显示文摘In this work, the Pd-based catalysts were designed via immobilizing Pd nanoparticles on graphite oxide (GO) modified with organic base, 1,1,3,3-tetramethylguanidine (TMG), which was used for the selective hydrogenation of citral. These catalysts were characterized by various techniques including IR, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. It was demonstrated that the Pd particles with size less than 5 nm were uniformly distributed throughout the support, and they were in the electron-deficient state due to the strong interactions with the modified support. The resultant Pd-TMG/GO catalyst displayed high efficiency for the selective hydrogenation of citral with a turnover frequency of 7100 h-1 as well as superior selectivity to citronellal of 89.6%.
