12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 2Assessment of heavy metal pollution characteristics and human health risk of exposure to ambient PM_(2.5) in Tianjin,China显示文摘To examine the features of heavy metal pollution of PM_(2.5)(particulate matter less than 2.5 μm) in Tianjin,China,as well as the exposure risk of PM_(2.5) to human health,we analyzed ambient PM_(2.5) samples collected from a campus of Nankai University in June,August,and October 2012.The concentrations of PM_(2.5) and heavy metals(Ni,Cu,Pb,Zn,Cr,Cd,Hg,As and Mn) in PM2.5 were analyzed by gravimetric analysis and inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry,respectively.The results show that the heavy metals contained in PM_(2.5) were,in descending order,Cu,Zn,Pb,Mn,Cr,Ni,Cd,As,and Hg.The proportion of Cd exceeded the secondary level of National Ambient Air Quality Standard of China(GB 3095-2012) by 1.3times,while others were within the limit.Enrichment factor analysis indicated that Cu,Zn,Cd,Pb,and Hg are mainly from anthropogenic sources.Principal component analysis indicated that the main sources of the heavy metals are vehicle exhaust,chemical waste,and coal-burning activities.The nine heavy metals which may cause health issues by exposure through the human respiratory system and should be further examined are Cr,Cd,As,Ni,Cu,Pb,Mn,Zn,and Hg,in the order of decreasing risk levels.With reference to the U.S.EPA standard the risk levels of all nine metals were below the acceptable level(10^(-6)/year).Peifei Chen Xiaohui Bi Jiaqi Zhang Jianhui Wu Yinchang Feng 2015Particuology2015,13,3:43

4Secondary organic carbon quantification and source apportionment of PM_(10) in Kaifeng, China显示文摘During 2005, the filter samples of ambient PM10 from five sites and the source samples of particulate matter were collected in Kaifeng, Henan Province of China. Nineteen elements, water-soluble ions, total carbon (TC) and organic carbon (OC) contained in samples were analyzed. Seven contributive source types were identified and their contributions to ambient PM10 were estimated by chemical mass balance (CMB) receptor model. Weak associations between the concentrations of organic carbon and element carbon (EC) were observed during the sampling periods, indicating that there was secondary organic aerosol pollution in the urban atmosphere. An indirect method of 'OC/EC minimum ratio' was applied to estimate the concentration of secondary organic carbon (SOC). The results showed that SOC contributed 26.2%, 32.4% and 18.0% of TC in spring, summer-fall and winter, respectively, and the annual average SOC concentration was 7.07 μg/m3, accounting for 5.73% of the total mass in ambient PM10. 7Simultaneous virus identification and characterization of severe unexplained pneumonia cases using a metagenomics sequencing technique显示文摘Many viruses can cause respiratory diseases in humans.Although great advances have been achieved in methods of diagnosis,it remains challenging to identify pathogens in unexplained pneumonia(UP) cases.In this study,we applied next-generation sequencing(NGS) technology and a metagenomic approach to detect and characterize respiratory viruses in UP cases from Guizhou Province,China.A total of 33 oropharyngeal swabs were obtained from hospitalized UP patients and subjected to NGS.An unbiased metagenomic analysis pipeline identified 13 virus species in 16 samples.Human rhinovirus C was the virus most frequently detected and was identified in seven samples.Human measles virus,adenovirus B 55 and coxsackievirus A10 were also identified.Metagenomic sequencing also provided virus genomic sequences,which enabled genotype characterization and phylogenetic analysis.For cases of multiple infection,metagenomic sequencing afforded information regarding the quantity of each virus in the sample,which could be used to evaluate each viruses' role in the disease.Our study highlights the potential of metagenomic sequencing for pathogen identification in UP cases.Xiaohui Zou Guangpeng Tang Xiang Zhao Yan Huang Tao Chen Mingyu Lei Wenbing Chen Lei Yang Wenfei Zhu Li Zhuang Jing Yang Zhaomin Feng Dayan Wang Dingming Wang Yuelong Shu 2017Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,3:14
8Effects of Pulsed Magnetic Field on Microsegregation of Solute Elements in a Ni-Based Single Crystal Superalloy显示文摘The effects of a pulsed magnetic field(PMF) on the microsegregation of solute elements during directional solidification of a Ni-based single crystal superalloy were experimentally investigated,and the results show that the PMF significantly affects the microsegregation of Al,Ti,Co,Mo and W elements in the alloy.However,the distribution behavior differs for both positive and negative segregation elements.With the PMF,the microsegregation of negative segregation elements,Co and W,was restrained effectively,while that of positive segregation elements,Al,Tiand Mo,was aggravated.A segregation model was established to reveal the distribution mechanism of the elements with PMF.It is considered that,under the action of PMF,the jumping of solute atoms from the liquid phase to solid phase is hindered,but the jumping of solute atoms from the solid phase into liquid phase is promoted during solidification.As a result,the effective distribution coefficient of the solute atoms is reduced,which leads to the reduction of microsegregation of negative segregation elements and aggravation of microsegregation of positive segregation elements.Yingju Li Yuefei Teng Xiaohui Feng Yuansheng Yang 2017Journal of Materials Science & Technology2017,33,1:12
9A de novo Genome of a Chinese Radish Cultivar显示文摘Here, we report a high-quality draft genome of a Chinese radish(Raphanus sativus) cultivar. This draft contains 387.73 Mb of assembled scaffolds, 83.93% of the scaffolds were anchored onto nine pseudochromosomes and 95.09% of 43 240 protein-coding genes were functionally annotated. 184.75 Mb(47.65%) of repeat sequences was identified in the assembled genome. By comparative analyses of the radish genome against 10 other plant genomes, 2 275 genes in 780 gene families were found unique to R. sativus. 10High-Resolution Records of the Holocene Paleoenvironmental Variation Reflected by Carbonate and Its Isotopic Compositions in Bosten Lake and Response to Glacial Activities显示文摘The Early Holocene paleoclimate in Bosten Lake on the northern margin of the Tarim Basin, southern Xinjiang, is reconstructed through an analysis of a 953 cm long core (BSTC2000) taken from Bosten Lake. Multiple proxies of this core, including the mineral components of carbonate, carbonate content, stable isotopic compositions of carbonate, Ca/Sr, TOC and C/N and C/S of organic matter, are used to reconstruct the climatic change since 8500 a B.P. The chronology model is made by nine AMS 14C ages of leaves, seeds and organic matter contained in two parallel cores. The climate was cold and wet during 8500 to 8100 a B.P. Temperature increased from 8100 to 6400 a B.P., the climate was warm and humid, and the lake expanded. The lake level was highest during this stage. Then from 6400 to 5100 a B.P., the climate became cold and the lake level decreased slightly. During the late mid-Holocene, the climate was hot and dry from 5100 to 3100 a B.P., but there was a short cold period during 4400 to 3800 a B.P. At this temporal interval, a mass of ice and snow melting water supplied the lake at the early time and made the lake level rise. The second highest lake level stage occurred during 5200 to 3800 a B.P. The climate was cool and wet during 3100 to 2200 a B.P., when the lake expanded with decreasing evaporation. The lake had the last short-term high level during 3100 to 2800 a B.P. After this short high lake level period, the lake shrank because of the long-term lower temperature and reduced water supply. From 2200 to 1200 a B.P., the climate was hot and dry, and the lake shrank greatly. Although the temperature decreased somewhat from 1200 a B.P. to the present, the climate was warm and dry. 11Epigenetic regulation in B-cell maturation and its dysregulation in autoimmunity显示文摘B cells have a critical role in the initiation and acceleration of autoimmune diseases, especially those mediated byautoantibodies. In the peripheral lymphoid system, mature B cells are activated by self or/and foreign antigens andsignals from helper T cells for differentiating into either memory B cells or antibody-producing plasma cells.Accumulating evidence has shown that epigenetic regulations modulate somatic hypermutation and class switchDNA recombination during B-cell activation and differentiation. Any abnormalities in these complex regulatoryprocesses may contribute to aberrant antibody production, resulting in autoimmune pathogenesis such as systemiclupus erythematosus. 12Autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in chemotherapy-sensitive lymphoblastic lymphoma: treatment outcome and prognostic factor analysis显示文摘Objective: The study evaluated the effectiveness of autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(AHSCT) in the treatment of lymphoblastic lymphoma(LL).Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the data from 41 patients with chemotherapy-sensitive LL who underwent hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(HSCT) from December 1989 to December 2009 in a single institution.Results: HSCT was conducted as first-line consolidation therapy and salvage therapy in 36 and 5 patients, respectively. The median follow-up was 97.1 months(range, 24.6-173.1 months). The 5-year overall survival(OS) and event-free survival(EFS) rate were 64% and 47% for the initially treated patients, respectively, and were both 20% for the relapsed ones. 13Automatic Feature Point Detection and Tracking of Human Actions in Time-of-flight Videos显示文摘Detecting feature points on the human body in video frames is a key step for tracking human movements. There have been methods developed that leverage models of human pose and classification of pixels of the body image. Yet, occlusion and robustness are still open challenges. In this paper, we present an automatic, model-free feature point detection and action tracking method using a time-of-flight camera. Our method automatically detects feature points for movement abstraction. To overcome errors caused by miss-detection and occlusion, a refinement method is devised that uses the trajectory of the feature points to correct the erroneous detections. Experiments were conducted using videos acquired with a Microsoft Kinect camera and a publicly available video set and comparisons were conducted with the state-of-the-art methods. The results demonstrated that our proposed method delivered improved and reliable performance with an average accuracy in the range of 90 %.The trajectorybased refinement also demonstrated satisfactory effectiveness that recovers the detection with a success rate of 93.7 %. 16Combined prednisone and levothyroxine improve treatment of severe thrombocytopenia in hepatitis B with compensatory cirrhosis accompanied by subclinical and overt hypothyroidism显示文摘The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship between hypothyroidism and thrombocytopenia in hepatitis Brelated compensatory liver cirrhosis and to determine whether treatment with levothyroxine and prednisone is superior in a multicenter, open-label, observational study in China. In total, 125 consecutive hepatitis B-related compensated liver cirrhosis patients with severe thrombocytopenia accompanied by hypothyroidism were included. The patients were divided into four groups according to treatment strategy: a control group(n=29), a prednisone group(n=25), a levothyroxine group(n=32) and a prednisone plus levothyroxine group(n=39). Severe thrombocytopenia was more prevalent in hepatitis B-associated compensatory liver cirrhosis patients with hypothyroidism than in euthyroid patients(29.6% vs. 14.7%, P<0.05). Combination treatment with prednisone and levothyroxine decreased the risk of bleeding and improved platelet recovery compared to control treatment and treatment with either prednisone or levothyroxine alone. The platelet count before therapy, serum thyroid stimulating hormone and combination treatment with prednisone and levothyroxine were associated with bleeding events. Therefore, the present study suggests that hypothyroidism is associated with severe thrombocytopenia in hepatitis B-associated compensatory liver cirrhosis. 17Improved clinical outcomes of rhG-CSF-mobilized blood and marrow haploidentical transplantation compared to propensity score-matched rhG-CSF-primed peripheral blood stem cell haploidentical transplantation:a multicenter study显示文摘The effects of haploidentical rhG-CSF-mobilized blood and marrow transplantation(HBMT) on hematological malignances are well established. Previous prospective single-center studies have demonstrated better survival after HBMT versus haploidentical rhG-CSF-mobilized peripheral blood stem cell transplantation(HPBSCT) for acute leukemia(AL) not in remission(NR) or in more than the second complete remission(>CR2). To test the hypothesis that HBMT is still superior to HPBSCT for patients with AL, multiple myeloma(MM), or non-Hodgkin lymphoma(NHL) in CR1/CR2 and for patients with chronic myeloid leukemia in the first and second chronic phase lacking a matched donor, we designed a propensity score method-based multicenter study.Hematopoietic recovery, acute graft-versus-host disease(aGVHD), and chronic GVHD were comparable between the HBMT group(n=168) and the HPBSCT group(n=42). No significant differences were found in non-relapse mortality rate(20.17%±3.58%and 27.24%±7.16%, P=0.18) or relapse rate(19.96%±3.72% and 28.49%±8.25%, P=0.32) between the HBMT group and the HPBSCT group. HBMT recipients had better overall survival(65.0%±4.2% and 54.2%±8.3%, P=0.037) and disease-free survival(59.9%±4.6% and 44.3%±8.7%, P=0.051). Multivariate analysis showed that HPBSCT was associated with poorer DFS(HR(95%CI), 1.639(0.995–2.699), P=0.052). 18Clinical features, survival and prognostic factors of primary testicular diffuse large B-cell lymphoma显示文摘Objective: To assess the clinical features, survival and prognostic factors of primary testicular diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL).Methods: A retrospective study of 37 patients with primary testicular DLBCL was carried out from November 2003 to May 2012. Their clinical features, survival and prognostic factors were analyzed.Results: During a median follow-up period of 39.8 months(5.4-93.0 months), the median progression-free survival(PFS) was 26.2 months(95% CI: 0-65 months) and the 3-year overall survival(OS) rate was 78.4%. Within the whole cohort, the factors significantly associated with a superior PFS were limited stage(stage I/II), lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) ≤245 U/L, international prognostic index(IPI) ≤1, primary tumor diameter <7.5 cm, and patients who had complete response(CR) and received doxorubicin-contained chemotherapy(P<0.05). There was a trend toward superior outcome for patients who received combined therapy(surgery/chemotherapy/radiotherapy)(P=0.055). Patients who had CR, primary tumor diameter <7.5 cm and IPI score ≤1 were significantly associated with longer PFS at multivariate analysis.Conclusions: Primary testicular DLBCL had poorer survival. CR, primary tumor diameter and IPI were independent prognostic factors. 20Influence of solution treatment on microstructure,mechanical and corrosion properties of Mg-4Zn alloy显示文摘The solution treatment parameters,mechanical properties and corrosion behavior of binary Mg-4Zn alloy were investigated.The results showed that after the solution treatment at 335℃ for 16 h,Mg-4Zn alloy had an ultimate tensile strength of 184.13 MPa and elongation of 9.43%.Furthermore,the corrosion resistance was evaluated by electrochemical measurements and immersion tests in 3.5%NaCl solution.The results revealed that the corrosion current density of the solution treatment Mg alloy was 11.2µA/cm^(−2),it was lower than 15.8µA/cm^(−2) for the as-cast Mg alloy under the same conditions,which was greatly associated with the micro-cathode effect of the second phases.Hongmin Jia Xiaohui Feng Yuansheng Yang 2015Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2015,3,3:4
