| 1 | Large-scale analysis of small RNAs derived from traditional Chinese herbs in human tissues显示文摘Plant-derived microRNAs have recently been reported to function in human blood and tissues. Controversy was immediately raised due to possible contamination and the lack of large sample sizes. Here, we report thousands of unique small RNAs derived from traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) herbs found in human blood cells and mouse lung tissues using a large-scale analysis.We extracted small RNAs from decoctions of 10 TCM plants(Ban Zhi Lian, Chai Hu, Chuan Xin Lian, Di Ding Zi Jin, Huang Qin, Jin Yin Hua, Lian Qiao, Pu Gong Ying, Xia Ku Cao, and Yu Xing Cao) and obtained millions of RNA sequences from each herb. We also obtained RNA-Seq data from the blood cells of humans who consumed herbal decoctions and from the lung tissues of mice administered RNAs from herbal decoctions via oral gavage. We identified thousands of unique small RNA sequences in human blood cells and mouse lung tissues. Some of these identified small RNAs from Chuan Xin Lian and Hong Jing Tian could be mapped to the genomes of the herbs, confirming their TCM plant origin. | 4 | Ultra-flat dispersion in an integrated waveguide with five and six zero-dispersion wavelengths for mid-infrared photonics显示文摘We propose a new type of dispersion flattening technology, which can generate an ultra-flat group velocity dispersion profile with five and six zero-dispersion wavelengths(ZDWs). The dispersion value varies from-0.15 to 0.35 ps/(nm·km) from 4 to 8 μm, which to the best of our knowledge is the flattest one reported so far, and the dispersion flatness is improved by more than an order of magnitude. We explain the principle of producing six ZDWs. Mode distribution in this waveguide is made stable over a wide bandwidth. General guidelines to systematically control the dispersion value, sign, and slope are provided, and one can achieve the desired dispersion by properly adjusting the structural parameters. | 6 | Effect of multiphase content on temperature-dependent electrical conductivity in silicone rubber composites显示文摘To investigate how the multiphase structures affect the electrical conductivity in semicrystalline polymer composites,herein,an accurate multiphase content calculation method is proposed and verified,which combines amorphous phase information in broadband dielectric spectroscopy and crystalline phase information in differential scanning calorimetry.Taken aluminium hydroxide(ATH)filled silicone rubber as an example,it is found that the rigid amorphous fraction(RAF)corresponding to the chains constrained by crystals(RAF_(cry))is not linearly increased with crystalline fraction(CF).Compared to non-isothermal crystallisation,RAF caused by ATH/silicone rubber interface(RAF_(int))after isothermal crystallisation at 213 K changes little,while mobile amorphous fraction and RAFcry is attenuated and CF is strengthened.Based on the calculated structures of ATH filled silicone rubber,activation energy of conductivities during cooling is dominated by the thermal transition for conductive ions and shortened distance among the conductive ions through shrunk volumes of the amorphous phase.Our findings deepen the understanding of multiphase content in semi-crystalline polymer composites and its relationship with electrical conductivity,which can be applied in manipulating electrical performance of semi-crystalline polymers by fillers. | Ying Lin Yuhao Liu Bin Cao Jianyi Xue Liming Wang Jianing Wang Lijian Ding | 2023 | High Voltage2023,8,2: | 2 |

To realize a low but broadband temperature-dependent-wavelength-shift microring resonator, designing a broadband athermal waveguide becomes a significant task. In this work,we propose a broadband athermal waveguide that shows a low effective thermo-optical coefficient of1 × 10^(-6)∕K from 1400 to 1700 nm. | 11 | Engineering Multi‑field‑coupled Synergistic Ion Transport System Based on the Heterogeneous Nanofluidic Membrane for High‑Efficient Lithium Extraction显示文摘The global carbon neutrality strategy brings a wave of rechargeable lithium‐ion batteries technique development and induces an ever-growing consumption and demand for lithium(Li).Among all the Li exploitation,extracting Li from spent LIBs would be a strategic and perspective approach,especially with the low energy consumption and eco-friendly membrane separation method.However,current membrane separation systems mainly focus on monotonous membrane design and structure optimization,and rarely further consider the coordination of inherent structure and applied external field,resulting in limited ion transport.Here,we propose a heterogeneous nanofluidic membrane as a platform for coupling multi-external fields(i.e.,lightinduced heat,electrical,and concentration gradient fields)to construct the multi-field-coupled synergistic ion transport system(MSITS)for Li-ion extraction from spent LIBs.The Li flux of the MSITS reaches 367.4 mmol m^(−2)h^(−1),even higher than the sum flux of those applied individual fields,reflecting synergistic enhancement for ion transport of the multi-field-coupled effect.Benefiting from the adaptation of membrane structure and multi-external fields,the proposed system exhibits ultrahigh selectivity with a Li^(+)/Co^(2+)factor of 216,412,outperforming previous reports.MSITS based on nanofluidic membrane proves to be a promising ion transport strategy,as it could accelerate ion transmembrane transport and alleviate the ion concentration polarization effect.This work demonstrated a collaborative system equipped with an optimized membrane for high-efficient Li extraction,providing an expanded strategy to investigate the other membrane-based applications of their common similarities in core concepts. | Lin Fu Yuhao Hu Xiangbin Lin Qingchen Wang Linsen Yang Weiwen Xin Shengyang Zhou Yongchao Qian Xiang‑Yu Kong Lei Jiang Liping Wen | 2023 | Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,8: | 1 |

| 13 | Accurate characterization of room-temperature long range magnetic order in GaN: Mn by magnetic force microscope显示文摘Room-temperature ferromagnetism with a Curie temperature higher than 380 K was studied in GaN: Mn thin films grown by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition. By etching artificial microstructures on the GaN: Mn layer,strong magnetic responses were observed in the magnetic force microscopy (MFM) measurement,which revealed that the films were independent of dopant particles and clusters. Numerical simulation on the data of atomic force microscope (AFM) and MFM measurements covering the whole microstructure validated the formation of long range magnetic order. This result excluded a variety of controversial origins of room-temperature ferromagnetism in the GaN: Mn and gave a strong evidence of our GaN: Mn as the intrinsic diluted magnetic semiconductor (DMS). | 16 | A tetrahedral framework nucleic acid based multifunctional nanocapsule for tumor prophylactic mRNA vaccination显示文摘Synthetic antigen-encoding mRNA plays an increasingly significant role in tumor vaccine technology owing to its antigen-specific immune-activation. However, its immune efficacy is challenged by inferior delivery efficiency and demand for suitable adjuvants. Here, we develop a novel mRNA nanovaccine based on a multifunctional nanocapsule, which is a dual-adjuvant formulation composed of cytosine-phosphateguanine motifs loaded tetrahedral framework nucleic acid(CpG-tFNA) and an immunopeptide murine β-defensin 2(mDF2β). This m RNA nanovaccine successfully achieves intracellular delivery, antigen expression and presentation of dendritic cells, and proliferation of antigen-specific T cells. In a tumor prophylactic vaccination model, it exerts an excellent inhibitory effect on lymphoma occurrence through cellular immunity. | 19 | Osteopontin(OPN)alleviates the progression of osteoarthritis by promoting the anabolism of chondrocytes显示文摘Osteoarthritis(OA)is a chronic debilitating joint disease,characterized by degen-eration of the cartilage and loss of the cartilage matrix,and it is clinically manifested as joint pain.Osteopontin(OPN)is a glycoprotein that is abnormally expressed in the bone and carti-lage tissues and plays a vital role in various pathological processes such as the osteoarthritic inflammatory response and endochondral ossification.The focus of our study is to investigate the therapeutic potential and specific role of OPN in OA.Using morphological comparisons,we found that the cartilage was severely worn-out and there was a significant loss of the cartilage matrix in OA.OPN,CD44,and hyaluronic acid(HA)synthase 1(HAS1)were highly expressed,and the anabolism of HA was significantly higher in the OA chondrocytes than in the control chondrocytes.Additionally,we treated the OA chondrocytes with small interfering RNA(siRNA)targeting OPN,recombinant human OPN(rhOPN),and a combination of rhOPN and anti-CD44 antibodies.Furthermore,in vivo experiments were performed in mice.We found that OPN up-regulated the expression of downstream HAS1 and increased the anabolism of HA through CD44 protein expression in OA mice compared with those in control mice.Moreover,intra-articular injection of OPN in mice with OA significantly inhibited OA progression.In summary,OPN ini-tiates an intracellular cascade via CD44 which results in an anabolic increase in HA levels,thereby inhibiting OA progression.Therefore,OPN is a promising therapeutic agent in precision treatment of OA. | Wei Luo Zili Lin Yuhao Yuan Ziyi Wu Wei Zhong Qing Liu | 2023 | Genes & Diseases2023,10,4: | 0 |
| 20 | Design of a Microwave Filter Based on a Novel Negative Coupling Structure with Conical Through-Hole显示文摘This article introduces the design theory of ceramic waveguide filter and proposes a new type of negative coupling structure with a conical throughhole,which has fine-adjustment of negative coupling without significantly increasing the insertion loss of the filter.Based on this,the article proposes an eightcavity ceramic waveguide filter design for 5G base stations.It also presents a detailed discussion on the influence of the cross-coupling slot lengths L2 and L4 on the transmission zeros positions during the filter optimization process and the relevant change rules.For the proposed optimized filter,the observed performance indicators include the center frequency of 3.5 GHz,working bandwidth of 200 MHz,an insertion loss of≤2.0 dB,return loss of≥19 dB,and out-of-band nearend suppression and out-of-band far-end suppression of≥39 dB and≥63 dB,respectively.The test performance results obtained for the sample,with structural parameters as per the simulation model,were in good agreement with the simulation results. | Shunliang Meng Fei Liang Wenzhong Lu Zihang Lin Yuhao Yin Rong Zhang | 2022 | China Communications2022,19,2: | 0 |
