1Rational design of three-phase interfaces for electrocatalysis显示文摘Gas-involving electrochemical reactions,like oxygen reduction reaction (ORR),oxygen evolution reaction (OER),and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER),are critical processes for energy-saving,environment-friendly energy conversion and storage technologies which gain increasing attention.The development of according electrocatalysts is key to boost their electrocatalytic performances.Dramatic efforts have been put into the development of advanced electrocatalysts to overcome sluggish kinetics.On the other hand,the electrode interfaces-architecture construction plays an equally important role for practical applications because these imperative electrode reactions generally proceed at triple-phase interfaces of gas,liquid electrolyte,and solid electrocatalyst.A desirable architecture should facilitate the complicate reactions occur at the triple-phase interfaces,which including mass diffusion,surface reaction and electron transfer.In this review,we will summarize some design principles and synthetic strategies for optimizing triple-phase interfaces of gas-involving electrocatalysis systematically,based on the electrode reaction process at the three-phase interfaces.It can be divided into three main optimization directions:exposure of active sites,promotion of mass diffusion and acceleration of electron transfer.Furthermore,we especially highlight several remarkable works with comprehensive optimization about specific energy conversion devices,including metal-air batteries,fuel cells,and water-splitting devices are demonstrated with superb efficiency.In the last section,the perspectives and challenges in the future are proposed.Yuqing Wang Yuqin Zou Li Tao Yanyong Wang Gen Huang Shiqian Du Shuangyin Wang 2019Nano Research2019,12,9:10
2Medical expenditures for colorectal cancer diagnosis and treatment: A 10-year high-level-hospital-based multicenter retrospective survey in China, 2002-2011显示文摘Objective: Colorectal cancer(CRC) causes a substantial burden of disease in China and the evidence of economic burden triggered is fundamental for priority setting. The aim of this survey was to quantify medical expenditures and the time trends for CRC diagnosis and treatment in China.Methods: From 2012 to 2014, a hospital-based multicenter retrospective survey was conducted in 13 provinces across China. For each eligible CRC patient diagnosed from 2002 to 2011, clinical information and expenditure data were extracted using a uniform questionnaire. All expenditure data were reported in Chinese Yuan(CNY)using 2011 values.Results: Of the 14,536 CRC patients included, the average age at diagnosis was 58.2 years and 15.8% were stageI cases. The average medical expenditure per patient was estimated at 37,902 CNY [95 % confidence interval(95%CI): 37,282-38,522], and the annual average increase rate was 9.2% from 2002 to 2011(P for trend <0.001), with a cumulative increase of 2.4 times(from 23,275 CNY to 56,010 CNY). The expenditure per patient in stages Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ were 31,698 CNY, 37,067 CNY, 38,918 CNY and 42,614 CNY, respectively(P<0.001). Expenditure significantly differed within various subgroups. Expenses for drugs contributed the largest proportion(52.6%).Conclusions: These conservative estimates illustrated that medical expenditures for CRC diagnosis and treatment in tertiary hospitals in China were substantial and increased rapidly over the 10 years, with drugs continually being the main expense by 2011. Relatively, medical expenditures are lower for CRC in the earlier stages. 3One-step uniform growth of magnesium hydride nanoparticles on graphene显示文摘A simple solvent-free method to synthesize MgH_2 nanoparticles(MgH_2NPs) uniformly grown on graphene nanosheets(GNs) has been reported in this paper. Based on the formation of MgH_2 by di-n-butylmagnesium((C_4H_9)_2Mg) thermal decomposition under hydrogen pressure, the GNs were added as matrix to hinder the agglomeration and growing of MgH_2NPs. The fabricated MgH_2/GNs nanocomposites, in which MgH_2 NPs were homogenously growing in the graphene matrix, have been synthesized by the favorable adsorption energy between(C_4H_9)_2Mg and GNs. Resulting from the one-step solvent-free route, the generated MgH_2 NPs shows high hydrogen capacity and steady hydriding and dehydriding properties, without the interference of the synthetic medium. At the same time, the size of the fabricated MgH_2NPs can be controlled by adjusting the mass ratio of MgH_2 to graphene, the various hydrogen pressure and temperature. 4Sphingosine-1-phosphate,a novel TREM2 ligand,promotes microglial phagocytosis to protect against ischemic brain injury显示文摘The mechanism of sphingosine-1-phosphate(S1P)-mediated phagocytosis remains unknown.Here,we found that S1P or FTY720(an analog of S1P)promoted microglial phagocytosis in stroke independent of S1PRs.First,we used computer simulation of molecular docking to predict that S1P might be a ligand for triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 2(TREM2).Next,microscale thermophoresis(MST),surface plasmon resonance(SPR)and liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry(LC–MS/MS)were performed to reveal that S1P was a novel TREM2 ligand.Then,we confirmed the pro-phagocytosis of S1P targeting in Trem2-Dap12 transfected CHO cells and TREM2 knockdown microglia.Point mutation analysis showed that D104 was the critical binding residue.Trem2^(−/−)mice were used to demonstrate the role of S1P-induced phagocytosis targeting on TREM2 in protecting against ischemic brain injury.Finally,further studies revealed that apolipoprotein E(APOE)loaded with S1P was released by microglia and bound to apoptotic neurons via LDL receptor related protein 1B(LRP1B)and thereby induced microglia to phagocytose apoptotic neurons.Overall,the present work reveals for the first time that S1P acts as a novel endogenous ligand of TREM2 to effectively promote microglial phagocytosis.Our findings provide a new lead compound for developing immunomodulator targeting on TREM2.Tengfei Xue Juan Ji Yuqin Sun Xinxin Huang Zhenyu Cai Jin Yang Wei Guo Ruobing Guo Hong Cheng Xiulan Sun 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,4:3

6In Situ Exfoliation and Pt Deposition of Antimonene for Formic Acid Oxidation via a Predominant Dehydrogenation Pathway显示文摘Direct formic acid fuel cell(DFAFC)has been considered as a promising energy conversion device for stationary and mobile applications.Advanced platinum(Pt)electrocatalysts for formic acid oxidation reaction(FAOR)are critical for DFAFC.However,the oxidation of formic acid on Pt catalysts often occurs via a dual pathway mechanism,which hinders the catalytic activity owing to the CO poisoning.Herein,we directly exfoliate bulk antimony to 2D antimonene(Sb)and in situ load Pt nanoparticles onto antimonene sheets with the assistance of ethylenediamine.According to the Bader charge analysis,the charge transfer from antimonene to Pt occurs,confirming the electronic interaction between Pt and Sb.Interestingly,antimonene,as a cocatalyst,alters the oxidation pathway for FAOR over Pt catalyst and makes FAOR follow the more efficient dehydrogenation pathway.The density functional theory(DFT)calculation demonstrates that antimonene can activate Pt to be a lower oxidative state and facilitate the oxidation of HCOOH into CO_(2) via a direct pathway,resulting in a weakened intermediate binding strength and better CO tolerance for FAOR.The specific activity of FAOR on Pt/Sb is 4.5 times,and the mass activity is 2.6 times higher than the conventional Pt/C.Yiqiong Zhang Man Qiao Yucheng Huang Yuqin Zou Zhijuan Liu Li Tao Yafei Li Chung-Li Dong Shuangyin Wang 2020Research2020,,1:3

8Tackle China's Economic Complexities by Deepening Reform and Opening Up: Macroeconomic Outlook, Policy Simulations, and Reform Implementation—A Summary of the Annual SUFE Macroeconomic Report (2018-2019)显示文摘Faced with complicated external and internal challenges, China's economy continues to see sluggish growth in 2018. Rapid accumulation of household debts, exacerbation in income inequality, tightened real sector liquidity, escalated trade tensions with the US, and weakened external demand pose key problems in China's macroeconomic landscape. The status quo is exacerbated by soaring uncertainty and weakening confidence in the face of persistent resource misallocations and institutional distortions, which cast more shadow on the already dampened consumer sentiment, sluggish private investment growth, and fallen foreign reserves. This summary report highlights the urgency of deeper structural reforms for tackling the various internal and external problems. Based on the IAR-CMM model, with both cyclical and secular factors taken into consideration, our baseline forecast of real GDP growth rate is 6.4%(6.1% using more reliable instead of the official data) in 2019. Alternative scenario analyses and policy simulations are conducted to assess the consequences of possible downside risks and the corresponding policy options needed to ensure the assumed growth targets. These analyses lead us to conclude that comprehensively deepening reform and opening up, which should be both rule-of-law based and market-oriented, with well-designed and well-conceived strategies that properly weigh short-, medium-, and long-term benefits and costs, should continue to be set as the guidance for China's transformation into a phase with sustainable and high-quality growth.Kevin X.D. 9A multicenter retrospective cohort study of ketogenic diet therapy in 481 children with infantile spasms显示文摘Background:Ketogenic diet(KD)therapy is one of the main treatments for drug-resistant epilepsy.However,the KD therapy has been applied in only a small number of infantile spasm cases.In this large multicenter study,we investigated the efficacy of KD therapy in the treatment of infantile spasms.Methods:In this retrospective,multicenter cohort study,clinical data from main epilepsy centers were analyzed.Patients were classified into different groups according to age,type of drug and whether glucocorticoid was used before initiation of KD.Results:From October 2014 to March 2020,481 patients(308 males and 173 females)with infantile spasms were treated with the KD therapy.The age of the patients ranged from 2 months to 20 years,with a mean age of 1 year and 10 months.The number of anti-seizure medications(ASMs)used before KD initiation ranged 0-6,with a median of 3.In different time from initiation(1,3,6,and 12 months),the rates of seizure freedom after KD were 6.9,11.6;16.0 and 16.8%,respectively(x^(2)=27.1772,P<0.0001).There was a significant difference in the rate of seizure freedom between 3 months and 1 month(x^(2)=6.5498,P=0.0105)groups,and 6 months and 3 months(x^(2)=3.8478,P=0.0498)groups,but not between 12 months and 6 months(x^(2)=0.1212,P=0.7278)groups.The rates of effectiveness were 44.7;62.8,49.1 and 32.0%(x^(2)=93.2674,P<0.0001),respectively.The retention rates were 94.0,82.5,55.7 and 33.1%(x^(2)=483.7551,P<0.0001),correspondingly.The rate of effectiveness and the retention rate of KD were significantly different among the 1,3,6 and 12 months.KD treatment was the first choice in 25 patients(5.2%),55 patients(11.4%)started KD after the failure of the first ASM,158 patients(32.8%)started KD after the failure of the second ASM,157 patients(32.6%)started KD after the failure of the third drug,and 86 patients(17.9%)started KD after the failure of the fourth and more.The KD effect was not related to the number of ASMs used before KD startup(P>0.05).Two hundred and eighteen patients(45.3%)failed to respond to corticotropin or glucocorticoid before initiation.There was no significant difference in the effectiveness rate at different time points between the group of KD therapy after glucocorticoid failure and the group after non-hormone failure (x^(2)=0.8613,P=0.8348).The rate of adverse events of KD in 1,3,6,and 12 months after KD initiation were 22.3,21.7,16.8 and 6.9%,respectively.The adverse events mainly occurred during the first 3 months of KD,and the main adverse events were gastrointestinal disturbance and constipation.Conclusions:The efficacy of the KD treatment for infantile spasms was not affected by age,medication,and glucocorticoid use before initiation.KD is one of the effective treatments for infantile spasms.Yuanzhen Ye Dan Sun Hua Li Jianmin Zhong Rong Luo Baomin Li Dengna Zhu Dan Li Shaoping Huang Yuwu Jiang Nong Xiao Yucai Chen Yuqin Zhang Mei Yu Xiaoyun Shen Li Gao Guo Zheng Congmin Zhao Baoqiang Yuan Jianxiang Liao Jiong Qin CAAE KD group 2022Acta Epileptologica2022,5,1:2
10Evidence for the paternal mitochondrial DNA in the crucian carp-like fish lineage with hybrid origin显示文摘In terms of taxonomic status,common carp(Cyprinus carpio,Cyprininae)and crucian carp(Carassius auratus,Cyprininae)are different species;however,in this study,a newborn homodiploid crucian carp-like fish(2n=100)(2nNCRC)lineage(F1–F3)was established from the interspecific hybridization of female common carp(2n=100)×male blunt snout bream(Megalobrama amblycephala,Cultrinae,2n=48).The phenotypes and genotypes of 2 n NCRC differed from those of its parents but were closely related to those of the existing diploid crucian carp.We further sequenced the whole mitochondrial(mt)genomes of the 2n NCRC lineage from F1 to F3.The paternal mt DNA fragments were stably embedded in the mt-genomes of F1–F3 generations of 2n NCRC to form chimeric DNA fragments.Along with this chimeric process,numerous base sites of F1–F3 generations of 2 n NCRC underwent mutations.Most of these mutation sites were consistent with the existing diploid crucian carp.Moreover,the mt DNA organization and nucleotide composition of 2n NCRC were more similar to those of the existing diploid crucian carp than those of the parents.The inheritable chimeric DNA fragments and mutant loci in the mt-genomes of different generations of 2nNCRC provided important evidence of the mt DNA change process in the newborn lineage derived from hybridization of different species.Our findings demonstrated for the first time that the paternal mt DNA were transmitted into the mt-genomes of homodiploid lineage,which provided new insights into the existence of paternal mt DNA in the mt DNA inheritance.Shi Wang Ni Jiao Lu Zhao Meiwen Zhang Pei Zhou Xuexue Huang Fangzhou Hu Conghui Yang Yuqin Shu Wuhui Li Chun Zhang Min Tao Bo Chen Ming Ma Shaojun Liu 2020Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,1:2

14Magnesium hydride nanoparticles anchored on MXene sheets as high capacity anode for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Magnesium hydride, with high specific capacity, favorable voltage profile and low voltage hysteresis properties, is regarded as a promising anode for lithium storage. However, the rapid fading of capacity caused by huge volume change, low electron/ion conduction, and spontaneous agglomeration of active materials during cycling greatly limit its practical application in lithium-ion batteries. Herein, we report the synthesis of monodisperse MgH2 nanoparticles with an average particle size of <20 nm homogeneously anchored on Ti3C2 MXene sheets by bottom-up self-assembly strategy. The unique nanoarchitectures are able to efficiently enhance the lithium insertion/extraction kinetics, accelerate the electron/lithium ion transfer and buffer the strain of volume changes. More importantly, the formed F–Mg bounding between MgH2 and MXene could avoid the shedding of MgH2 nanoparticles to electrolyte during cycling, which significantly enhance the capacity, cyclability, and rate performance of magnesium hydride. Moreover, due to the high density of MXene and the synergistic effect between the MgH2 and MXene matrix, the MgH2/MXene composite with 60 wt% MgH2 delivers a superior volumetric capacity of 1092.9 mAh cm−3 at a current density of 2000 mA g^(−1) after 1000 cycles. 17Interlayer ligand engineering of β-Ni(OH)2 for oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘Oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is a bottleneck process for many electrochemical devices due to the sluggish kinetics,for which advanced electrocatalysts should be carefully designed.Nickle-based materials have been extensively studied to catalyze OER.However,their performances are still below the expectation and the active sites are often controversial.Herein,we have successfully modulated the electronic and surface properties of layeredβ-Ni(OH)2 by the interlayer ligand engineering,aiming to design novel efficient electrocatalysts and unveil the catalysis mechanism.By one-step solvothermal reaction,alkoxyl substitutedβ-Ni(OH)2 with variable interlayer distances is obtained,and the ethoxyl substituted one(NiEt)shows great potential for efficient OER.With the assistance of powder X-ray diffraction and crystalline structure computational simulation,the formula of alkoxyl substitutedβ-Ni(OH)2 are determined.Operando X-ray absorption spectroscopy studies combined with ex-situ analyses revealed that the critical active species of NiEt is formed via hydroxylation and subsequent de-protonation,with high valent Niδ+(3<δ≤3.66).The corresponding catalytic reaction pathway and mechanism are proposed.Junying He Yuqin Zou Yucheng Huang Chenhui Li Yanbo Liu Ling Zhou Chung-Li Dong Xia Lu Shuangyin Wang 2020Science China Chemistry2020,63,11:1
18Longer conserved alpine forests ecosystem exhibits higher stability to climate change on the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Aims Vegetation dynamics are simultaneously regulated by climate change and anthropogenic activities.Since the 1980s,climate has been warming on the Tibetan Plateau(TP)at a rate higher than North Hemisphere average.Anthropogenic activities,including grazing,farming,and urbanization,are also influencing the alpine ecosystem on the TP.Especially,an ensemble of large engineering projects,such as power transported from west to east by State Grid,has been in operation on the TP.While studies disentangling effects of climate and anthropogenic activities interference are still lacking for the forest ecosystems on the TP.The overarching objectives of this study were to separate effects of natural climates and human interferences on forest ecosystem dynamics on the TP.Methods We compared vegetation activities of two typical natural reserves(Gongbu natural reserve,GNR,and Yarlung zangbo river grand canyon natural reserve,YNR)and their surroundings in southeastern Tibet(outside of the natural reserves,ONR)using long-term satel-lite normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)dataset.Linear regression and partial correlation analyses were constructed for the relationship between vegetation activity and climates to evaluate the distinct climate effects on the two natural reserves.Important Findings The two natural reserves were established at different time,which were related to anthropogenic activities impact durations.The results showed that the annual mean NDVI fluctuated between 0.5 and 0.6 in the relatively longer reserved YNR,which was re-markably higher than those in other regions(with NDVI lower than 0.45).The vegetation vigor in the YNR showed neither a sig-nificant temporal trend nor significant relationship with climate.Nevertheless,vegetation vigor exhibited a significant increasing trend during the last three decades(0.012/decade)at the GNR.The inter-decadal analysis turned out positive relationships between vegetation vigor and annual temperature since late 1990s until early 2000s when the GNR was officially established.This study underlined the importance of considering human interference duration when assessing the relationships between vegetation dy-namics and climates.Jian Li Nan Cong Jiaxing Zu Yuqin Xin Ke Huang Quan Zhou Yaojie Liu Lin Zhou Li Wang Yang Liu Ge Zhang 2019Journal of Plant Ecology2019,12,4:1
