| 3 | The integration of transcriptomic and transgenic analyses reveals the involvement of the SA response pathway in the defense of chrysanthemum against the necrotrophic fungus Alternaria sp.显示文摘Chrysanthemum morifolium cv.‘Huaihuang’has ornamental,edible,medicinal,and tea product uses.However,its field growth,yield,and quality are negatively affected by black spot disease caused by Alternaria sp.(Strain:HQJH10092301;GenBank accession number:KF688111).In this study,we transcriptionally and transgenically characterized a new cultivar,‘Huaiju 2#’(Henan Traditional Chinese Medicine Plant Cultivar identification number:2016002),which was bred from‘Huaihuang’and shows resistance to Alternaria sp.Numerous‘Huaiju 2#’plants were inoculated with Alternaria sp.for three or five days.Metabolic analysis showed increases in both salicylic acid(SA)and jasmonic acid(JA)in infected plants compared to the control.Protein activity analysis also revealed a significant increase in defense enzyme activities in infected plants.RNA-Seq of plants infected for 3 or 5 days produced a total of 58.6 GB of clean reads.Among these reads,16,550 and 13,559 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were identified in Cm_3 dpi(sample from 3 days post-inoculation labeled as Cm_3 dpi)and Cm_5 dpi(sample from 5 days post-inoculation labeled as Cm_5 dpi),respectively,compared with their controls(Cm_0 d:a mixture samples from 0 d(before inoculation)and those treated with sterile distilled water at 3 dpi and 5 dpi).Gene annotation and cluster analysis of the DEGs revealed a variety of defense responses to Alternaria sp.infection,which were characterized by increases in resistance(R)proteins and the reactive oxygen species(ROS),Ca2+,mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK),and JA signaling pathways.In particular,SA signaling was highly responsive to Alternaria sp.infection.The qPCR analysis of 12 DEG candidates supported their differential expression characterized by using the RNA-Seq data.One candidate was CmNPR1(nonexpressor of pathogenesis-related gene 1),an important positive regulator of SA in systemic acquired resistance(SAR).Overexpression of CmNPR1 in‘Huaiju 2#’increased the resistance of transgenic plants to black spot.These findings indicate that the SA response pathway is likely involved in the defense of‘Huaiju 2#’against Alternaria sp.pathogens. | Xiting Zhao Lingyu Song Liwei Jiang Yuting Zhu Qinghui Gao Dandan Wang Jing Xie Meng Lv Ping Liu Mingjun Li | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 3 |

| 5 | Earthquake detection in the Jiangsu region, China using graphics-processing-unit-based Match & Locate and rapid earthquake association and location显示文摘Earthquake detection and location are essential in earthquake studies,which generally consists of two main classes:waveform-based and pick-based methods.To evaluate the ability of two different methods,a graphicsprocessing-unit-based Match&Locate(GPU-M&L)method and a rapid earthquake association and location(REAL)method are applied to continuous seismic data recorded by 24 digital seismic stations from Jiangsu Seismic Network during 2013 for comparison.GPU-M&L is one of waveform-based methods by waveform cross-correlations while REAL is one of pick-based method to associate arrivals of different seismic phases and locate events through counting the number of P and S picks and travel time residuals.Twenty-six templates are selected from the Jiangsu Seismic Network local catalog by using the GPU-M&L.The number of newly detected and located events is about 2.8 times more than those listed in the local catalog.We both utilize a deep-neural-network-based arrival-time picking method called PhaseNet and a shortterm/long-term average(STA/LTA)trigger algorithm for seismic phase detection and picking by applying the REAL.We then refine seismic locations using a least-squares location method(VELEST)and a high-precision relative location method(hypoDD).By applying STA/LTA and PhaseNet,1006 and 1893 events are associated and located,respectively.The newly detected events are mainly clustered and show steeply dipping fault planes.By analyzing the performance of these methods based on long-term continuous seismic data,the detected catalogs by the GPU-M&L and REAL show that the magnitudes of completeness are 1.4 and 0.8,respectively,which are smaller than 2.6 given by the local catalog.Although REAL provides improvement compared with GPU-M&L,REAL is highly dependent on phase detection and picking which is strongly affected by signal-noise ratio(SNR).Stations at southeast of the study region with low SNR may lead to few detections in the same area. | Yafen Huang Shengzhong Zhang Yuejun Lv Yanzhen Li Yuting Zhang Min Liu | 2020 | Earthquake Science2020,33,1: | 2 |

| 11 | Freely switching between ferroelectric and resistive switching in Hf_(0.5)Zr_(0.5)O_(2) films and its application on high accuracy on-chip deep neural networks显示文摘The Hf_(0.5)Zr_(0.5)O_(2)(HZO)-based ferroelectric field-effect transistor(Fe FET) synapse is a promising candidate for at-scale deep neural network(DNN) applications, because of its high symmetry, great accuracy and fast operation speed. However, the degradation of the remanent polarization(Pr) over time caused by the depolarization field has not been effectively resolved, greatly affecting the accuracy of the trained DNN. In this study, we demonstrate a ferroelectric(FE)-resistive switching(RS) switchable synapse using the FE mode for high-speed weight training and the RS mode for stable weight storage to overcome accuracy degradation. The FE-RS hybrid characteristic is accomplished by an HZO-based metal-ferroelectricmetal(MFM) capacitor with asymmetric electrodes, and the best FE endurance, as well as the most reliable RS behavior, is demonstrated by testing several electrodes materials. High memory windows are achieved in both FE and RS modes.
