| 2 | Channel Measurement and Path Loss Modeling from 220 GHz to 330 GHz for 6G Wireless Communications显示文摘Terahertz(THz)communication has been envisioned as a key enabling technology for sixthgeneration(6G).In this paper,we present an extensive THz channel measurement campaign for 6G wireless communications from 220 GHz to 330 GHz.Furthermore,the path loss is analyzed and modeled by using two single-frequency path loss models and a multiplefrequencies path loss model.It is found that at most frequency points,the measured path loss is larger than that in the free space.But at around 310 GHz,the propagation attenuation is relatively weaker compared to that in the free space.Also,the frequency dependence of path loss is observed and the frequency exponent of the multiple-frequencies path loss model is 2.1.Moreover,the cellular performance of THz communication systems is investigated by using the obtained path loss model.Simulation results indicate that the current inter-site distance(ISD)for the indoor scenario is too small for THz communications.Furthermore,the tremendous capacity gain can be obtained by using THz bands compared to using microwave bands and millimeter wave bands.Generally,this work can give an insight into the design and optimization of THz communication systems for 6G. | Pan Tang Jianhua Zhang Haoyu Tian Zhaowei Chang Jun Men Yuxiang Zhang Lei Tian Liang Xia Qixing Wang Jingsuo He | 2021 | China Communications2021,18,5: | 7 |
| 3 | Is there a survival benefit from adjuvant chemotherapy for patients with liver oligometastases from colorectal cancer after curative resection?显示文摘Background:Although colorectal oligometastases to the liver can potentially be cured with aggressive local abla-tion,the efficacy of adjuvant chemotherapy(ACT)for such metastasis remains unclear.The present study explored the effects of ACT on patients with colorectal liver oligometastases(CLO)after curative resections and aimed to iden-tify patients who could benefit from ACT.Methods:We retrospectively analyzed 264 eligible patients with CLO who underwent curative resection between September 1999 and June 2015.Recurrence-free survival(RFS)and overall survival(OS)were analyzed using the Kaplan-Meier method and log-rank test;prognostic factors were a by Cox regression modeling.Results:Among 264 patients,200(75.8%)patients received ACT and 64(24.2%)did not receive ACT.These two groups did not significantly differ in clinicopathologic characteristics,and had comparable 3-year OS and RFS rates(RFS:42.1%vs.45.7%,P=0.588;OS:69.7%vs.62.7%,P=0.446)over a median follow-up duration of 35.5 months,irrespective of preoperative chemotherapy.ACT markedly improved 3-year OS in high-risk patients with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center clinical risk scores(MSKCC-CRS)of 3-5(68.2%vs.33.8%,P=0.015),but presented no additional benefit in patients with MSKCC-CRS of 0-2(72.2%vs.78.6%,P=0.834).In multivariate analysis,ACT was independently associated with improved OS in patients with MSKCC-CRS of 3-5.Conclusions:ACT might offer a prognostic benefit in high-risk patients with CLOs after curative liver resection,but not in low-risk patients.Therefore,patients’risk status should be determined before ACT administration to optimize postoperative therapeutic strategies. | Zhizhong Pan Jianhong Peng Junzhong Lin Gong Chen Xiaojun Wu Zhenhai Lu Yuxiang Deng Yujie Zhao Qiaoqi Sui Desen Wan | 2018 | Cancer Communications2018,38,1: | 4 |
| 4 | 3D microgroove electrical impedance sensing to examine 3D cell cultures for antineoplastic drug assessment显示文摘In recent decades,three-dimensional(3D)cancer cell models have attracted increasing interest in the field of drug screening due to their significant advantages in more accurate simulations of heterogeneous tumor behavior in vivo compared to two-dimensional models.Furthermore,drug sensitivity testing based on 3D cancer cell models can provide more reliable in vivo efficacy prediction.The gold standard fluorescence staining is hard to achieve real-time and label-free viability monitoring in 3D cancer cell models.In this study,a microgroove impedance sensor(MGIS)was specially developed for the dynamic and noninvasive monitoring of 3D cell viability.3D cancer cells were trapped in microgrooves with gold electrodes on opposite walls for in situ impedance measurement.The change in the number of live cells caused inversely proportional changes to the impedance magnitude of the entire cell/Matrigel construct and reflected the proliferation and apoptosis of the 3D cells.It was confirmed that the 3D cell viability detected by the MGIS was highly consistent with the standard live/dead staining by confocal microscope characterization.Furthermore,the accuracy of the MGIS was validated quantitatively using a 3D lung cancer model and sophisticated drug sensitivity testing.In addition,the parameters of the MGIS in the measurement experiments were optimized in detail using simulations and experimental validation.The results demonstrated that the MGIS coupled with 3D cell culture would be a promising platform to improve the efficiency and accuracy of cell-based anticancer drug screening in vitro. | Yuxiang Pan Deming Jiang Chenlei Gu Yong Qiu Hao Wan Ping Wang | 2020 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2020,6,1: | 2 |
| 5 | Variation of δ^(13)C in karst soil in Yaji Karst Experiment Site, Guilin显示文摘This study deals with δ13C variation in karst soil system of Yaji Karst Experiment Site, Guilin, a typical region of humid subtropical karst formations. Samples of near ground air, plant tissue, soil and water (soil solution and karst spring) were respectively collected on site in different seasons during 1996-1999. Considerable variation of δ13C values are not only found with different carbon pools of soil organic carbon, soil air CO2 and soil water HCO3-, but also with the soil depths and with different seasons during a year. The δ13C values of CO2 both of near ground air and soil air are lower in July than those in April by 1‰-4‰ PDB. | 7 | An Algorithm to Recognize the Target Object Contour Based on 2D Point Clouds by Laser-CCD-Scanning显示文摘For a vision measurement system consisted of laser-CCD scanning sensors, an algorithm is proposed to extract and recognize the target object contour. Firstly, the two-dimensional(2D) point cloud that is output by the integrated laser sensor is transformed into a binary image. Secondly, the potential target object contours are segmented and extracted based on the connected domain labeling and adaptive corner detection. Then, the target object contour is recognized by improved Hu invariant moments and BP neural network classifier. Finally, we extract the point data of the target object contour through the reverse transformation from a binary image to a 2D point cloud. The experimental results show that the average recognition rate is 98.5% and the average recognition time is 0.18 s per frame. | 8 | Composition, structure and mechanical properties of several natural cellular materials显示文摘The stem piths of sunflower, kaoliang and corn are natural cellular materials. In this paper, the contents of the compositions of these piths are determined and their cell shapes and structures are examined through scanning electron microscope (SEM) and optical microscope. Further research is conducted in the effects of the compositions and structures of the piths on the mechanical properties after testing the partial mechanical properties. The results show that the total cellulose, hemicelluloses and lignin content of each sample approaches 75% of the dry mass of its primary cell walls. With the fall of R value, a parameter relative to the contents of the main compositions, the flexibilities of the cellular piths de- scend while their stresses and rigidities increase. The basic cell shape making up the sunflower pith is approximately a tetrakaidehedron. | 16 | Covalently grafting first-generation PAMAM dendrimers onto MXenes with self-adsorbed AuNPs for use as a functional nanoplatform for highly sensitive electrochemical biosensing of cTnT显示文摘2D MXene-Ti3C2Tx has demonstrated promising application prospects in various fields;however,it fails to function properly in biosensor setups due to restacking and anodic oxidation problems.To expand beyond these existing limitations,an effective strategy to for modifying the MXene by covalently grafting first-generation poly(amidoamine)dendrimers onto an MXene in situ(MXene@PAMAM)was reported herein.When used as a conjugated template,the MXene not only preserved the high conductivity but also conferred a specific 2D architecture and large specific surface areas for anchoring PAMAM.The PAMAM,an efficient spacer and stabilizer,simultaneously suppressed the substantial restacking and oxidation of the MXene,which endowed this hybrid with improved electrochemical performance compared to that of the bare MXene in terms of favorable conductivity and stability under anodic potential.Moreover,the massive amino terminals of PAMAM offer abundant active sites for adsorbing Au nanoparticles(AuNPs).The resulting 3D hierarchical nanoarchitecture,AuNPs/MXene@PAMAM,had advanced structural merits that led to its superior electrochemical performance in biosensing.As a proof of concept,this MXene@PAMAM-based nanobiosensing platform was applied to develop an immunosensor for detecting human cardiac troponin T(cTnT).A fast,sensitive,and highly selective response toward the target in the presence of a[Fe(CN)6]^(3-/4-)redox marker was realized,ensuring a wide detection of 0.1-1000 ng/mL with an LOD of 0.069 ng/mL.The sensor's signal only decreased by 4.38%after 3 weeks,demonstrating that it exhibited satisfactory stability and better results than previously reported MXene-based biosensors.This work has potential applicability in the bioanalysis of cTnT and other biomarkers and paves a new path for fabricating high-performance MXenes for biomedical applications and electrochemical engineering. | Xin Liu Yong Qiu Deming Jiang Fengheng Li Ying Gan Yuxuan Zhu Yuxiang Pan Hao Wan Ping Wang | 2022 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2022,8,2: | 0 |
| 17 | 中国淮安地区2009年至2011年食管癌流行病学特征分析(英文)显示文摘Objective: The aim of our study was to investigate the epidemiological characteristics of esophageal cancer from 2009 to 2011 in Huai'an area, China. Methods: The data about the incidence and mortality of esophageal cancer were provid- ed by Huai'an Cancer Registry, and the epidemiological characteristics of the disease were analyzed. Results: Esophageal cancer was not only the first most common cancer, but also the leading cause of cancer death in Huai'an area. The crude and standardized incidence rates were 62.91/10 5 and 49.92/10 5 , and the crude and standardized mortality rates were 46.75/10 5 and 36.87/10 5 , respectively. The sex ratio (male-female) was 1.69:1 in incidence, and the incidence increased in people aged 40 years and over, reaching the peak at the ages of 70-75 years. The mortality rate was at low level under the age of 50 years, but increased after the age of 50 years, reaching the peak at the age of 75-85 years. Incidence and mortality rates varied regionally with the highest rate found in Chuzhou district (90.76/10 5 and 67.17/10 5 ) and lowest rate observed in Qinghe district (32.41/10 5 and 8.75/10 5 ). Conclusion: Esophageal cancer is the major burden of cancer in Huai'an area, and has marked geographic distribution difference.
