| 1 | Approach to blind estimation of the PN sequence in DS-SS signals with residual carrier显示文摘This paper presents an approach of singular value decomposition plus digital phase lock loop to solve the difficult problem of blind pseudo-noise (PN) sequence estimation in low signal to noise ratios (SNR) direct sequence spread spectrum (DS-SS) signals with residual carrier. This approach needs some given parameters, such as the period and code rate of PN sequence. The received signal is firstly sampled and divided into non-overlapping signal vectors according to a temporal window, whose duration is two periods of PN sequence. An autocorrelation matrix is then computed and accumulated by those signal vectors one by one. The PN sequence with residual carrier can be estimated by the principal eigenvector of the autocorrelation matrix. Further more, a digital phase lock loop is used to process the estimated PN sequence, it estimates and tracks the residual carrier and removes the residual carrier in the end. | 3 | Effects of climate change and land-use changes on spatiotemporal distributions of blue water and green water in Ningxia, Northwest China显示文摘Water resources are a crucial factor that determines the health of ecosystems and socio-economic development;however,they are under threat due to climate change and human activities.The quantitative assessment of water resources using the concept of blue water and green water can improve regional water resources management.In this study,spatiotemporal distributions of blue water and green water were simulated and analyzed under scenarios of climate change and land-use changes using the Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT)in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,Northwest China,between 2009 and 2014.Green water,a leading component of water resources,accounted for more than 69.00%of the total water resources in Ningxia.Blue water and green water showed a single peak trend on the monthly and annual scales during the study period.On the spatial scale,the southern region of Ningxia showed higher blue water and green water resources than the northern region.The spatiotemporal distribution features of blue water,green water,and green water flow had strong correlations with precipitation.Furthermore,the simulation identified the climate change in Ningxia to be more influential on blue water and green water than land-use changes.This study provides a specific scientific foundation to manage water resources in Ningxia when encountered with climate change together with human activities. | WU Jun DENG Guoning ZHOU Dongmei ZHU Xiaoyan MA Jing CEN Guozhang JIN Yinli ZHANG Jun | 2021 | Journal of Arid Land2021,13,7: | 3 |

| 9 | Formula for computing knots with minimum stress and stretching energies显示文摘Computing knots for a given set of data points in a plane is one of the key steps in the construction of fitting curves with high precision. In this study, a new method is proposed for computing a parameter value(knot) for each data point. With only three adjacent consecutive data points, one may not determine a unique interpolation quadratic polynomial curve, which has one degree of freedom(a variable). To obtain a better curve, the stress and stretching energies are used to optimize this variable so that the quadratic polynomial curve has required properties, which ensure that when the three consecutive points are co-linear, the optimal quadratic polynomial curve constructed is the best. If the position of the mid-point of the three points lies between the first point and the third point, the quadratic polynomial curve becomes a linear polynomial curve. Minimizing the stress and stretching energies is a time-consuming task. To avoid the computation of energy minimization, a new model for simplifying the stress and stretching energies is presented. The new model is an explicit function and is used to compute the knots directly, which greatly reduces the amount of computation. The knots are computed by the new method with minimum stress and stretching energies in the sense that if the knots computed by the new method are used to construct quadratic polynomial,the quadratic polynomial constructed has the minimum stress and stretching energies. | 18 | LncRNAs exert indispensable roles in orchestrating the interaction among diverse noncoding RNAs and enrich the regulatory network of plant growth and its adaptive environmental stress response显示文摘With the advent of advanced sequencing technologies,non-coding RNAs(ncRNAs)are increasingly pivotal and play highly regulated roles in the modulation of diverse aspects of plant growth and stress response.This includes a spectrum of ncRNA classes,ranging from small RNAs to long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs).Notably,among these,lncRNAs emerge as significant and intricate components within the broader ncRNA regulatory networks.Here,we categorize ncRNAs based on their length and structure into small RNAs,medium-sized ncRNAs,lncRNAs,and circle RNAs.Furthermore,the review delves into the detailed biosynthesis and origin of these ncRNAs.Subsequently,we emphasize the diverse regulatory mechanisms employed by lncRNAs that are located at various gene regions of coding genes,embodying promoters,5’UTRs,introns,exons,and 3’UTR regions.Furthermore,we elucidate these regulatory modes through one or two concrete examples.Besides,lncRNAs have emerged as novel central components that participate in phase separation processes.Moreover,we illustrate the coordinated regulatory mechanisms among lncRNAs,miRNAs,and siRNAs with a particular emphasis on the central role of lncRNAs in serving as sponges,precursors,spliceosome,stabilization,scaffolds,or interaction factors to bridge interactions with other ncRNAs.The review also sheds light on the intriguing possibility that some ncRNAs may encode functional micropeptides.Therefore,the review underscores the emergent roles of ncRNAs as potent regulatory factors that significantly enrich the regulatory network governing plant growth,development,and responses to environmental stimuli.There are yet-to-be-discovered roles of ncRNAs waiting for us to explore. | Lingling Zhang Tao Lin Guoning Zhu Bin Wu Chunjiao Zhang Hongliang Zhu | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,12: | 0 |

| 20 | Enzymatic surface modification of Kevlar fibers显示文摘Horseradish peroxidase catalyzed grafting of acrylamide (AM) onto Kevlar fibers has been studied. The modified fiber has been characterized with scanning electron microscopy (SEM), elemental analysis and the grafting yield. From the SEM micrographs, the surface of the grafted Kevlar fiber is rougher than that of the untreated fiber, and the elemental analysis indicated that the nitrogen content of the treated fibers is higher than that of the untreated fiber. All the results suggested that AM must have been grafted onto the Kevlar surface through HRP-mediated radical initiated grafting reaction.
