Environmental impact factors and mercury speciation in the sediment along Fujian and eastern Guangdong coasts显示文摘Concentrations of total mercury (THg) and methyl mercury (MeHg) were determined for 32 surface sediments collected along the coastal line of Fujian Province and eastern Guangdong Province. The spatial distributions of THg and MeHg and their environmental impact factors were investigated. The average concentrations of THg and MeHg in the sediments were 31.5 ng/g and 0.096 ng/g, respectively. Both sediment THg and MeHg concentrations showed relatively high value in the Minjiang Estuary and the coastal areas of Quanzhou and Putian. The concentrations overall decreased as the distance to the shoreline increased. The correlations among environmental impact factors and THg, MeHg were analyzed. The sediment THg concentration was highly correlated to the concentrations of organic matter, copper, total nitrogen (TN) and total phosphorus (TP), and significantly correlated to pH value of the bottom seawater and concentration of sediment sulfide. The sediment MeHg concentration was highly correlated to the concentrations of organic matter and copper, and significant correlated to the concentrations of sulfide, TN, TP and pH value of the bottom seawater.ZHANG Yuanbiao HUO Yunlong LIU Xiyao KUANG Weiming YUAN Dongxing JI Weidong 2013Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,2:6
Effects of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge.f.alba on neuronal regeneration following cerebral ischemia/reperfusion显示文摘BACKGROUND:Subsequent to cerebral ischemic injury, endogenous neural stem cells are activated, but ischemia-induced neuronal loss is not compensated by ischemic injury-induced neural regeneration.Salvia (S.) miltiorrhiza Bge.f.alba (Baihua Danshen, a Chinese herbal medicine) could enhance learning and memory functions, as well as promote neural regeneration.OBJECTIVE:To observe the effects of S.miltiorrhiza Bge.f.alba on recovery from cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury, and the influence on neuronal regeneration and differentiation.DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING:Randomized, controlled, animal experiments were performed at the Experimental Animal Center and Neurobiology Laboratory of Taishan Medical College in September of 2006.MATERIALS:S.miltiorrhiza Bge.f.alba was provided by Taishan Medical College Botanic Garden, Taian, China; dl-3n-butylphthalide (NBP) soft capsule was purchased from NBP Pharmaceutical, Shijiazhuang, China; mouse anti-bromodeoxyuridine antibody, rabbit anti-NF200 antibody, and bromodeoxyuridine were purchased from Sigma, Louis, MO, USA; Annexin V-fluorescein isothiocyanate/PI apoptosis kit was purchased from Nanjing Comissariado Biological Technology Development, Nanjing, China.METHODS:Adult Sprague Dawley rats were randomly assigned to sham surgery, model (cerebral ischemia and reperfusion, without administration), S.miltiorrhiza Bge.f.alba, and NBP groups.Following establishment of the cerebral ischemia/reperfusion model, S.miltiorrhiza Bge.f.alba or NBP (1 mL/100 g) was respectively perfused at 30 minutes following cerebral ischemia/reperfusion.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Alterations in cerebral blood flow before and after ischemia/reperfusion, NF200-and bromodeoxyuridine-double positive cells in striatum of affected tissue as well as neuronal apoptosis rate at days 5 and 7 following cerebral ischemia/reperfusion.RESULTS:Subsequent to cerebral ischemia reperfusion, cerebral blood flow was reduced.Following treatment with S.miltiorrhiza Bge.f.alba, cerebral blood flow significantly increased (P<0.05).NBP treatment was inferior to S.miltiorrhiza Bge.f.alba with regard to stabilization of cerebra blood flow (P<0.05).S.miltiorrhiza Bge.f.alba significantly increased the number of newly formed neurons in rats following cerebral ischemia (P<0.05) and significantly reduced neuronal apoptosis (P<0.05), with no significant difference compared with NBP treatment (P>0.05).CONCLUSION:S.miltiorrhiza Bge.f.alba significantly increased cerebral blood flow, reduced neuronal apoptosis, and promoted neuronal regeneration in rats with cerebral ischemia/reperfusion impairment.Qiuling Zhang Yuanbiao Sun Bo Bai Hao Huang 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,14:5
Distribution of dissolved oxygen and causes of maximum concentration in the Bering Sea in July 2010显示文摘According to data obtained in the Bering Sea during the 4th Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition, the distribution of dissolved oxygen(DO) was studied, causes of its maximum concentration were discussed, and the relationships between DO and other parameters, such as salinity, temperature, and chlorophyll a were analyzed. The results showed DO concentration ranged from 0.53 to 12.05 mg/L in the Bering Sea basin. The upper waters contained high concentrations and the maximum occurred at the depth range from 20 to 50 m. The DO concentration decreased rapidly when the depth was deeper than 200 m and reached the minimum at the depth range from 500 to 1 000 m, and then increased slowly with the depth increasing but still kept at a low level. On the shelf, the DO concentration ranged from 6.53 to 16.63 mg/L with a mean value of 10.75 mg/L, and showed a characteristic of decreasing from north to south. The DO concentration was higher in the area between the Bering Sea and Lawrence Island and was lower in the southeast and southwest of Lawrence Island at the latitude of 62°N. The formation of maximum DO concentration was concerned with phytoplankton photosynthesis and formation of the themocline. To the south of Sta. B07 in the Bering Sea basin, the oxygen produced by photosynthesis permeated to the deeper water and the themocline made it difficult to exchange vertically, and to the north of Sta. B07, the maximum DO concentration occurred above the themocline due to phytoplankton activities. On the shelf, the oxygen produced by phytoplankton photosynthesis gathered at the bottom of the thermocline and formed the DO maximum concentration. In the Bering Sea basin, the DO and salinity showed a weak negative correlation(r=0.40) when the salinity was lower than 33.1, a significant negative correlation(r=0.92) when the salinity ranged from 33.1 to 33.7, and an irregular reversed parabola(r=0.95) when the salinity was greater than 33.7.SUN Xiuwu LIN Cai CHEN Yong ZHANG Yuanbiao WANG Jigang JI Weidong 2014Acta Oceanologica Sinica2014,33,6:2

Hot deformation behavior of 51.1Zr–40.2Ti–4.5Al–4.2V alloy in the single β phase field显示文摘The hot deformation behavior of a newly developed 51.1Zr–40.2Ti–4.5Al–4.2 V alloy was investigated by compression tests in the deformation temperature range from 800 to 1050 ℃ and strain rate range from 10-3to 100 s-1. At low temperatures and high strain rates, the flow curves exhibited a pronounced stress drop at the very beginning of deformation, followed by a slow decrease in flow stress with increasing strain. The magnitude of the stress drop increased with decreasing deformation temperature and increasing strain rate. At high temperatures and low strain rates, the flow curves exhibited typical characteristics of dynamic recrystallization. A hyperbolic-sine Arrhenius-type equation was used to characterize the dependences of the flow stress on deformation temperature and strain rate. The activation energy for hot deformation decreased slightly with increasing strain and then tended to be a constant value. A microstructural mechanism map was presented to help visualize the microstructure of this alloy under different deformation conditions.Jingli Duan Yuanbiao Tan Liyuan Ji Wenchang Liu Jingwu Zhang Riping Liu 2015Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2015,25,1:1
The abundance, characteristics and diversity of microplastics in the South China Sea:Observation around three remote islands显示文摘Surrounded by emerging markets with considerable plastic consumption, the South China Sea has been a focus area of microplastic research.A survey on the floating microplastics(>0.3 mm)and microplastics ingested by fish and mollusks was conducted around three remote islands here.Compared with the results from several previous studies,a high abundance of floating microplastics(with a median of 1.9×10^(5)items/km^(2) or 0.7 items/m^(3))was observed, revealing another“hot spot”for microplastics.Polyolefin, especially polypropylene, was the main component. The diversity index and evenness index were calculated and evaluated based on the composition of microplastics. The characteristic peaks of Raman spectra concerning pigmented microplastics were provided.Transparent sheets/films were predominant in the water sample, which was quite different from a similar study in this sea area(8.9%for film),and only 16.4%of floating microplastics(>0.3 mm)were fibers/lines,implying that the main sources of floating microplastics(>0.3 mm)might be household/agricultural consumption activities. The transparent fiber/line was also dominant in organisms. It is suggested that the main sources of microplastics ingested by organisms might be both fabric fibers and fishing/aquaculture.Hongzhe Chen Sumin Wang Huige Guo Yunlong Huo Hui Lin Yuanbiao Zhang 2022Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,1:0
Current strategies for improving limitations of proteolysis targeting chimeras显示文摘Proteolysis targeting chimeras(PROTACs)are bifunctional degrader molecules via hijacking the ubiquitinproteasome system(UPS)to specifically eliminate targeted proteins.PROTACs have gained momentum as a new modality of attractive technologies in the drug discovery landscape, since it allows to degrade disease-related proteins effectively.Although some PROTACs drugs reached the clinical research, they are still facing some bottlenecks and challenges that should not be neglected, such as poor oral bioavailability and potential toxic side effects. To overcome these limitations, herein,we provide an overview of recent strategies for improving the durability of PROTACs by enhancing cell permeability and reducing toxic side effects.Meanwhile, the impact of these strategies on improving oral bioavailability as well as their advantages and drawbacks will also be discussed. This review will give a useful reference toolbox for PROTACs design and further promote its clinical application.Chunlan Pu Shirui Wang Lei Liu Zhonghui Feng Hongjia Zhang Qianyuan Gong Yueshan Sun Yuanbiao Guo Rui Li 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,6:0
