1Risk analysis for the highly pathogenic avian influenza in China's Mainland using meta-modeling显示文摘A logistic model was employed to correlate the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) with related environmental factors and the migration of birds. Based on MODIS data of the normalized difference vegetation index, environmental factors were considered in generating a probability map with the aid of logistic regression. A Bayesian maximum entropy model was employed to explore the spatial and temporal correlations of HPAI incidence. The results show that proximity to water bodies and national highways was statistically relevant to the occurrence of HPAI. Migratory birds, mainly waterfowl, were important infection sources in HPAI transmission. In addition, the HPAI outbreaks had high spatiotemporal autocorrelation. This epidemic spatial range fluctuated 45 km owing to different distribution patterns of cities and water bodies. Furthermore, two outbreaks were likely to occur with a period of 22 d. 2The novel H1N1 Influenza A global airline transmission and early warning without travel containments显示文摘A novel influenza A (H1N1) has been spreading worldwide. Early studies implied that international air travels might be key cause of a severe potential pandemic without appropriate containments. In this study, early outbreaks in Mexico and some cities of United States were used to estimate the preliminary epidemic parameters by applying adjusted SEIR epidemiological model, indicating transmissibility infectivity of the virus. According to the findings, a new spatial allocation model totally based on the real-time airline data was established to assess the potential spreading of H1N1 from Mexico to the world. Our estimates find the basic reproductive number R0 of H1N1 is around 3.4, and the effective reproductive number fall sharply by effective containment strategies. 5Simulation of the spread of infectious diseases in a geographical environment显示文摘The study of mathematical models for the spread of infectious diseases is an important issue in epidemiology. Given the fact that most existing models cannot comprehensively depict heterogeneities (e.g., the population heterogeneity and the distribution heterogeneity) and complex contagion patterns (which are mostly caused by the human interaction induced by modern transportation) in the real world, a theoretical model of the spread of infectious diseases is proposed. It employs geo-entity based cel-lular automata to simulate the spread of infectious diseases in a geographical environment. In the model, physical geographical regions are defined as cells. The population within each cell is divided into three classes: Susceptible, Infective, and Recovered, which are further divided into some sub-classes by states of individuals. The transition rules, which determine the changes of proportions of those subclasses and reciprocal transformation formulas among them, are provided. Through defining suitable spatial weighting functions, the model is applied to simulate the spread of the infectious dis-eases with not only local contagion but also global contagion. With some cases of simulation, it has been shown that the results are reasonably consistent with the spread of infectious diseases in the real world. The model is supposed to model dynamics of infectious diseases on complex networks, which is nearly impossible to be achieved with differential equations because of the complexity of the prob-lem. 6Genomic basis of evolutionary adaptation in a warm-blooded fish显示文摘Few fishes have evolved elevated body temperatures compared with ambient temperatures,and only in opah(Lampris spp)is the entire body affected.To understand the molecular basis of endothermy,we analyzed the opah genome and identified 23 genes with convergent amino acid substitutions across fish,birds,and mammals,including slc8b1,which encodes the mitochondrial Na+/Ca2+exchanger and is essential for heart function andmetabolic heat production.Among endothermic fishes,44 convergent genes with suggestive metabolic functions were identified,such as glrx3,encoding a crucial protein for hemoglobin maturation.Numerous genes involved in the production and retention of metabolic heat were also found to be under positive selection.Analyses of opah’s unique inner-heat-producing pectoral muscle layer(PMI),an evolutionary key innovation,revealed that many proteins were co-opted from dorsal swimming muscles for thermogenesis and oxidative phosphorylation.Thus,the opah genome provides valuable resources and opportunities to uncover the genetic basis of thermal adaptations in fish.Xin Wang Meng Qu Yali Liu Ralf F.Schneider Yue Song Zelin Chen Hao Zhang Yanhong Zhang Haiyan Yu Suyu Zhang Dongxu Li Geng Qin Shaobo Ma Jia Zhong Jianping Yin Shuaishuai Liu Guangyi Fan Axel Meyer Dazhi Wang Qiang Lin 2022The Innovation2022,3,1:1

11Recent advances in high-β_(N) experiments and magnetohydrodynamic instabilities with hybrid scenarios in the HL-2A Tokamak显示文摘Over the past several years,high-β_(N) experiments have been carried out on HL-2A.The high-β_(N) is realized using double transport barriers(DTBs)with hybrid scenarios.A stationary high-β_(N) (>2)scenario was obtained by pure neutral-beam injection(NBI)heating.Transient high performance was also achieved,corresponding to β_(N)≥3,ne/ne_(G)∼0.6,H_(98)∼1.5,f_(bs)∼30%,q_(95)∼4.0,and��∼0.4.The high-β_(N) scenario was successfully modeled using integrated simulation codes,that is,the one modeling framework for integrated tasks(OMFIT).In high-����plasmas,magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)instabilities are abundant,including low-frequency global MHD oscilla-tion with n=1,high-frequency coherent mode(HCM)at the edge,and neoclassical tearing mode(NTM)and Alfvénic modes in the core.In some high-β_(N) discharges,it is observed that the NTMs with m/n=3/2 limit the growth of the plasma energy and decrease β_(N).The low-n global MHD oscillation is consistent with the coupling of destabilized internal(m/n=1/1)and external(m/n=3/1 or 4/1)modes,and plays a crucial role in triggering the onset of ELMs.Achieving high-β_(N) on HL-2A suggests that core-edge interplay is key to the plasma confinement enhancement mechanism.Experiments to enhance β_(N) will contribute to future plasma operation,such as international thermonuclear experimental reactor.Wei Chen Liming Yu Min Xu Xiaoquan Ji Zhongbing Shi Xiaoxue He Zhengji Li Yonggao Li Tianbo Wang Min Jiang Shaobo Gong Jie Wen Peiwan Shi Zengchen Yang Kairui Fang Jia Li Lai Wei Wulv Zhong Aiping Sun Jianyong Cao Xingyu Bai Jiquan Li Xuantong Ding Jiaqi Dong Qingwei Yang Yi Liu Longwen Yan Zhengxiong Wang Xuanru Duan 2022Fundamental Research2022,2,5:0
123D interlocked all-textile structured triboelectric pressure sensor for accurately measuring epidermal pulse waves in amphibious environments显示文摘The performance degradation and even damage of the e-textiles caused by sweat,water,or submersion during all-weather health monitoring are the main reasons that e-textiles have not been commercialized and routinized so far.Herein,we developed an amphibious,high-performance,air-permeable,and comfortable all-textile triboelectric sensor for continuous and precise measurement of epidermal pulse waves during full-day activities.Based on the principle of preparing gas by acid-base neutralization reaction,a one-piece preparation process of amphibious conductive yarn(ACY)with densely porous structures is proposed.An innovative three-dimensional(3D)interlocking fabric knitted from ACYs(0.6 mm in diameter)and polytetrafluoroethylene yarns exhibit high sensitivity(0.433 V·kPa^(-1)),wide bandwidth(up to 10 Hz),and stability(>30,000 cycles).With these benefits,98.8%agreement was achieved between wrist pulse waves acquired by the sensor and a high-precision laser vibrometer.Furthermore,the polytetrafluoroethylene yarn with good compression resilience provides sufficient mechanical support for the contact separation of the ACYs.Meanwhile,the unique skeletonized design of the 3D interlocking structure can effectively relieve the water pressure on the sensor surface to obtain stable and accurate pulse waves(underwater depth of 5 cm).This achievement represents an important step in improving the practicality of e-textiles and early diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases.Shaobo Si Chenchen Sun Yufen Wu Jingjing Li Han Wang Yinggang Lin Jin Yang Zhong Lin Wang 2024Nano Research2024,17,3:0
13Self-powered electrochemical water treatment system for pollutant degradation and bacterial inactivation based on high-efficient Co(OH)_(2)/Pt electrocatalyst显示文摘Electrochemical system with electro-Fenton reaction is an effective pathway for oxidative degradation of refractory organic pollutants for water treatment.However,the method is limited by the low catalytic efficiency and high electrical cost in practical applications.This work presents a self-powered and high-efficient electrochemical system for water treatment including pollutant degradation and bacterial inactivation,which is composed of a self-powered triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG)converting mechanical energy into electrical energy,a power management circuit integrated with a supercapacitor to store the harvesting electrical energy temporarily,and an electrochemical setup integrated with two-dimentional Co(OH)_(2)/Pt nanosheet as electrocatalyst.The nanocatalyst,ultrafine Pt nanoparticles(Pt NPs)loaded on Co(OH)_(2) nanosheet(Co(OH)_(2)/Pt),is synthesized by a facile one step hydrothermal reaction without any surfactant,which can improve H_(2)O_(2)and hydroxyl radical production via redox reaction.This self-powered electrocatalytic system is able to degrade nearly 100%of organic pollutant within 100 min,and efficiently kill bacteria.This work shows great potential to develop high-efficient and self-powered electrochemical water treatment system through integrating TENG and nanocatalyst.Zhuo Wang Xi Liang Zhirong Liu Tian Huang Shaobo Wang Shuncheng Yao Yiming Ding Jiaming Zhang Xingyi Wan Zhong Lin Wang Linlin Li 2023Nano Research2023,16,2:0
