2Analyses on the tectonic thermal evolution and influence factors in the deep-water Qiongdongnan Basin显示文摘To reveal the tectonic thermal evolution and influence factors on the present heat flow distribution, based on 154 heat flow data, the present heat flow distribution features of the main tectonic units are first analyzed in detail, then the tectonic thermal evolution histories of 20 profiles are reestablished crossing the main deep-water sags with a structural, thermal and sedimentary coupled numerical model. On the basis of the present geothermal features, the Qiongdongnan Basin could be divided into three regions: the northern shelf and upper slope region with a heat flow of 50–70 m W/m2, most of the central depression zone of 70–85 m W/m2, and a NE trending high heat flow zone of 85–105 m W/m2 lying in the eastern basin. Numerical modeling shows that during the syn-rift phase, the heat flow increases generally with time, and is higher in basement high area than in its adjacent sags. At the end of the syn-rift phase, the heat flow in the deepwater sags was in a range of 60–85 m W/m2, while in the basement high area, it was in a range of 75–100 m W/m2. During the post-rift phase, the heat flow decreased gradually, and tended to be more uniform in the basement highs and sags. However, an extensive magmatism, which equivalently happened at around 5 Ma, has greatly increased the heat flow values, and the relict heat still contributes about 10–25 m W/m2 to the present surface heat flow in the central depression zone and the southern uplift zone. Further analyses suggested that the present high heat flow in the deep-water Qiongdongnan Basin is a combined result of the thermal anomaly in the upper mantle, highly thinning of the lithosphere, and the recent extensive magmatism. Other secondary factors might have affected the heat flow distribution features in some local regions. 3Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell therapy in ischemic stroke: mechanisms of action and treatment optimization strategies显示文摘Animal and clinical studies have confirmed the therapeutic effect of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells on cerebral ischemia, but their mechanisms of action remain poorly understood. Here, we summarize the transplantation approaches, directional migration, differentiation, replacement, neural circuit reconstruction,angiogenesis, neurotrophic factor secretion, apoptosis, immunomodulation, multiple mechanisms of action,and optimization strategies for bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells in the treatment of ischemic stroke.We also explore the safety of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell transplantation and conclude that bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell transplantation is an important direction for future treatment of cerebral ischemia. 4Sequencing of Cultivated Peanut, Arachis hypogaea, Yields Insights into Genome Evolution and Oil Improvement显示文摘Cultivated peanut (Arachis hypogaea) is an allotetraploid crop planted in Asia, Africa, and America for edible oil and protein. To explore the origins and consequences of tetraploidy, we sequenced the allotetraploid A. hypogaea genome and compared it with the related diploid Arachis duranensis and Arachis ipaensis genomes. We annotated 39 888 A-subgenome genes and 41 526 B-subgenome genes in allotetraploid peanut. The A. hypogaea subgenomes have evolved asymmetrically, with the B subgenome resembling the ancestral state and the A subgenome undergoing more gene disruption, loss, conversion, and transposable element proliferation, and having reduced gene expression during seed development despite lacking genome-wide expression dominance. Genomic and transcriptomic analyses identified more than 2 500 oil metabolism-related genes and revealed that most of them show altered expression early in seed development while their expression ceases during desiccation, presenting a comprehensive map of peanut lipid biosynthesis. 6A Chromosome-Scale Genome Assembly of Paper Mulberry(Bmussonetia papyrifera)Provides New Insights into Its Forage and Papermaking Usage显示文摘Paper mulberry(Broussonetia papyrifera)is a well-known woody tree historically used for Cai Lun papermaking,one of the four great inventions of ancient China.More recently,Paper mulberry has also been used as forage to address the shortage of feedstuff because of its digestible crude fiber and high protein contents.In this study,we obtained a chromosome-scale genome assembly for Paper mulberry using integrated approaches,including Illumina and PacBio sequencing platform as well as Hi-C,optical,and genetic maps.The assembled Paper mulberry genome consists of 386.83 Mb,which is close to the estimated size,and 99.25%(383.93 Mb)of the assembly was assigned to 13 pseudochromosomes.Comparative genomic analysis revealed the expansion and contraction in the flavonoid and lignin biosynthetic gene families,respectively,accounting for the enhanced flavonoid and decreased lignin biosynthesis in Paper mulberry.Moreover,the increased ratio of syringyl-lignin to guaiacyl-lignin in Paper mulberry underscores its suitability for use in medicine,forage,papermaking,and barkcloth making.We also identified the rootassociated microbiota of Paper mulberry and found that Pseudomonas and Rhizobia were enriched in its roots and may provide the source of nitrogen for its stems and leaves via symbiotic nitrogen fixation.Collectively,these results suggest that Paper mulberry might have undergone adaptive evolution and recruited nitrogen-fixing microbes to promote growth by enhancing flavonoid production and altering lignin monomer composition.Our study provides significant insights into genetic basis of the usefulness of Paper mulberry in papermaking and barkcloth making,and as forage.These insights will facilitate further domestication and selection as well as industrial utilization of Paper mulberry worldwide.Xianjun Peng Hui Liu Peilin Chen Feng Tang Yanmin Hu Fenfen Wang Zhi Pi Meiling Zhao Naizhi Chen Hui Chen Xiaokang Zhang Xueqing Yan Min Liu Xiaojun Fu Guofeng Zhao Pu Yao Lili Wang He Dai Xuming Li Wei Xiong Wencai Xu Hongkun Zheng Haiyan Yu Shihua Shen 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,5:18

8Tiller Bud Formation Regulators MOC1 and MOC3 Cooperatively Promote Tiller Bud Outgrowth by Activating F0N1 Expression in Rice显示文摘Tillering in rice is one of the most important agronomic traits.Rice tiller development can be divided into two main processes: the formation of the axillary bud and its subsequent outgrowth.Several genes critical for bud formation in rice have been identified by genetic studies;however,their molecular functions and relationships are still largely unknown.Here,we report that MONOCULM 1 (MOC1) and MONOCULM 3/ TILLERS ABSENT 1/STERILE AND REDUCED TILLERING 1 (MOC3/TAB1/SRT1),two vital regulators for tiller formation in rice,physically interact to regulate tiller bud outgrowth through upregulating the expression of FLORAL ORGAN NUMBER 1 (FON1),the homolog of CLAVATA1 in rice.We found that M0C3 is able to directly bind the promoter ofFONI and subsequently activate FON1 expression.MOC1 functions as a coactivator of MOC3,whereas it could not directly bind the FON1 promoter,and further activated FON1 expression in the presence of MOC3.Accordingly,FON1 is highly expressed at axillary meristems and shows remarkably decreased expression levels in mod and moc3 mutants.Loss-of-function mutants of FON1 exhibit normal bud formation but defective bud outgrowth and reduced tiller number.Collectively,these results shed light on a joint transcriptional regulatory mechanim by MOC1 and MOC3,and establish a new framework for the control of tiller bud formation and outgrowth.Gaoneng Shao Zefu Lu Jinsong Xiong Bing Wang Yanhui Jing Xiangbing Meng Guifu Liu Haiyan Ma Yan Liang Fan Chen Yonghong Wang Jiayang Li Hong Yu 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,8:15
9Effect of dietary interventions on the intestinal microbiota of Mongolian hosts显示文摘The gut microbiota of Mongolian hosts has distinctive characteristics due to their meat- and dairyoriented daily diets and unique genotype.The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of switching from the typical high protein and fat Mongolian diets to carbohydrate-rich meals composed principally of wheat,rice and naked oats on the host gut microbiota within 3 weeks.Our study took the advantage of the long sequence reads produced by the Pac Bio single molecule real-time sequencing technology to enable the profiling of subjects' gut microbiota communities along the diet intervention to the species precision.We found that the bacterial richness and diversity decreased apparently along the diet intervention.During the diet intervention,the gut microbiota composition displayed no significant difference at phylum level(with major phyla of Firmicutes,Bacteroidetes,Tenericutes and Proteobacteria).The relative abundances of some genera such as Bacteroidetes,Faecalibacterium,Roseburia,Alistipes,Streptococcus,and Oscillospira were significantly altered after the diet switching started.Notably,significant changes were also observed in the proportions of the species Bacteroides dorei,Bacteroides fragilis,Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron,Ruminococcus albus,Ruminococcus faecis,Roseburia faecis and Eubacterium ventriosum.These results have demonstrated that diet and host gut microbiota is closely linked.Jing Li Haiyan Xu Zhihong Sun Qiangchuan Hou Lai-Yu Kwok Wuri Laga Yanjie Wang Huimin Ma Zhongjie Yu Bilige Menghe Heping Zhang 2016Science Bulletin2016,61,20:14
10New Algorithm for CBR-RBR Fusion with Robust Thresholds显示文摘The case-based reasoning(CBR) and rule-based reasoning(RBR) fusion systems include a diverse range of fusion methods and their tasks are characterized by interleaving combination of the reasoning procedures. Existing approaches cannot clarify the complex relationships between data from the knowledge sources nor uniformly represent the heterogeneous case and rule knowledge in one fusion space. As a result, existing approaches fail to solve system fragility due to knowledge uncertainty and reasoning unreliability. For the purpose of addressing the difficulties, a novel algorithm for CBR-RBR fusion with robust thresholds(CRFRT) is proposed. Heterogeneous case and rule knowledge are uniformly represented in one defined fusion unitary space. The robust thresholds have been achieved to distinguish the complex relationships between meta-knowledge in the fusion space and to enhance system capacity of knowledge identification. Furthermore, fusion reasoning strategies are constructed for CRFRT and its procedure based on which robust solution of the fusion reasoning problem is obtained. Finally, CRFRT is validated by benchmark problems in machine learning. Compared with other CBR and RBR approaches, the reasoning efficiency and accuracy are increased by 5% and 2.2% respectively. The variations of system accuracy are decreased by 2% to 3.8%. The above results show that the CRFRT algorithm boosts the system's effectiveness and robustness. 11Denitrification and microbial community in MBBR using A. donax as carbon source and biofilm carriers for reverse osmosis concentrate treatment显示文摘In this study,raw Arundo donax(A.donax)pieces were applied as carbon source and biofilm carriers for denitrification in a lab-scale moving bed biofilm reactor(MBBR)for the treatment of reverse osmosis concentrate gathered from local wastewater reuse plant.At stable phase(about 60 days),efficient denitrification performance was obtained with73.2%±19.5%NO3--N average removal and 8.10±3.45 g N/(m3·day)NO3--N average volumetric removal rate.Mass balance analysis showed that 4.84 g A.donax was required to remove 1 g TN.Quantitative real-time PCR analysis results showed that the copy numbers of 16S r-RNA,narG,nirS,nosZ and anammox gene of carrier biofilm and suspended activated sludge in the declination phase(BF2 and AS2)were lower than those of samples in the stable phase(BF1 and AS1),and relatively higher copy numbers of nirS and nirK genes with lower abundance of narG and nosZ genes were observed.High-throughput sequencing analysis was conducted for BF2 and AS2,and similar dominant phyla and classes with different abundance were obtained.The class Gammaproteobacteria affiliated with the phylum Proteobacteria was the most dominant microbial community in both BF2(52.6%)and AS2(41.7%).The PICRUSt prediction results indicated that 33 predictive specific genes were related to denitrification process,and the relative abundance of 18 predictive specific genes in BF2 were higher than those in AS2.Li Li Guokai Yan Haiyan Wang Zhaosheng Chu Zewen Li Yu Ling Tong Wu 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,10:11
12Comparison study of phosphorus adsorption on different waste solids:Fly ash,red mud and ferric–alum water treatment residues显示文摘The adsorption of phosphorus(P) onto three industrial solid wastes(fly ash, red mud and ferric–alum water treatment residual(FAR)) and their modified materials was studied systematically via batch experiments. Compared with two natural adsorbents(zeolite and diatomite), three solid wastes possessed a higher adsorption capacity for P because of the higher Fe, Al and Ca contents. After modification(i.e., the fly ash and red mud modified by FeCl_3 and FARs modified by HCl), the adsorption capacity increased, especially for the modified red mud, where more Fe bonded P was observed. The P adsorption kinetics can be satisfactorily fitted using the pseudo-second-order model. The Langmuir model can describe well the P adsorption on all of the samples in our study. p H and dissolved organic matter(DOM) are two important factors for P adsorption. Under neutral conditions, the maximum adsorption amount on the modified materials was observed. With the deviation from pH 7, the adsorption amount decreased, which resulted from the change of P species in water and surface charges of the adsorbents. 14Lentinan administration alleviates diarrhea of rotavirus-infected weaned pigs via regulating intestinal immunity显示文摘Background:Lentinan(LNT)may regulate many important physiological functions of human and animals.This study aimed to verify whether LNT administration could relieve diarrhea via improving gut immunity in rotavirus(RV)-challenged weaned pigs.Methods:Twenty-eight weaned pigs were randomly fed 2 diets containing 0 or 84 mg/kg LNT product for 19 d(n=14).RV infection was executed on d 15.After extracting polysaccharides from LNT product,its major monosaccharides were analyzed.Then,LNT polysaccharide was used to administrate RV-infected IPEC-J2 cells.Results:Dietary LNT supplementation supported normal function of piglets even when infected with RV,as reflected by reduced growth performance loss and diarrhea prevalence,and maintained gut immunity(P<0.05).The polysaccharide was isolated from LNT product,which molecular weight was 5303 Da,and major monosaccharides included glucose,arabinose and galactose.In RV-infected IPEC-J2 cells,this polysaccharide significantly increased cell viability(P<0.05),and significantly increased anti-virus immunity via regulating pattern recognition receptors and host defense peptides(P<0.05).Conclusion:Those results suggest that LNT administration increases the piglets’resistance to RV-induced stress,likely by supporting intestinal immunity.Xiangqi Fan Haiyan Hu Daiwen Chen Bing Yu Jun He Jie Yu Junqiu Luo Erik Eckhardt Yuheng Luo Jianping Wang Hui Yan Xiangbing Mao 2021Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2021,12,3:8

16The internalization pathway,metabolic fate and biological effect of superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles in the macrophage-like RAW264.7 cell显示文摘The potential applications of superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs) in several nanomedical fields have attracted intense interest based on the cell-nano interaction. However, the mechanisms underlying cell uptake, the intracellular trail, final fate and the biological effects of SPIONs have not yet been clearly elucidated. Here, we showed that multiple endocytic pathways were involved in the internalization process of SPIONs in the RAW264.7 macrophage. The internalized SPIONs were biocompatible and used three different metabolic pathways: The SPIONs were distributed to daughter cells during mitosis; they were degraded in the lysosome and free iron was released into the intracellular iron metabolic pool; and, the intact SPIONs were potentially exocytosed out of the cells. The internalized SPIONs did not induce cell damage but affected iron metabolism, inducing the upregulation of ferritin light chain at both the mRNA and protein levels and ferroportin 1 at the mRNA level. 17Study of the minerogenetic mechanism and origin of Qinghai nephrite from Golmud, Qinghai, Northwest China显示文摘Electronic microprobe analysis showed that all QN samples are mainly composed of tremolite and minor accessory minerals, such as diopside, calcite, serpentinite, and magnetite. According to the cation coefficients, the crystallo-chemistrygenesis illustration demonstrates that all QN deposits are contact metasomatic. Depending on the mole percent of Fe^(2+(3+))/(Mg^(2+)+Fe^(2+(3+)) and the content of Cr, Co, and Ni in all QN samples measured by X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy(XRF) and inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry(ICP-MS), green and azure-green QNs are characterized as serpentinite-related contact metasomatic deposit(S-type), whereas white, green-white, brown, blue-violet, yellow, and viridis QNs are dolomite-related contact metasomatic deposit(D-type). The assemblages and chemical composition of accessory minerals of the eight-color QN samples show evident characteristics, which reveal four possible ore-forming processes. We also measured trace and rare earth elements(REEs) in these samples through ICP-MS to deduce the origin of and the changes in metallogenic conditions. The chondrite-normalized REE patterns of D-type QN exhibit moderately negative Eu anomalies with moderate light REE enrichment, flat heavy REE(HREE), and low(50)REE concentrations, similar to dolomitic marble. Green QN samples of S-type show enrichment in HREE and moderately negative Eu anomalies, which is consistent with characteristics of dunite. Whereas azure-green QN samples of S-type exhibit a right-dipping V-type curve with severe depletion in Eu(δEu=0.36–0.47), in accordance with the characteristics of gabbro from Yushigou ophiolite in North Qilian mountains. Furthermore, this finding is consistent with the content of trace elements and the petrographic analysis results. 18Flavonoid content and radical scavenging activity in fruits of Chinese dwarf cherry(Cerasus humilis) genotypes显示文摘The Chinese dwarf cherry(Cerasus humilis(Bge.) Sok.) is a small shrub with edible fruits. It is native to northern and western China. This species was included as a medicinal plant in the ‘‘Chinese Pharmacopeia'' and has emerged as an economically important crop for fresh fruit consumption, processing into juice and wine and nutraceutical products as well. To gain a better understanding of flavonoid biosynthesis and help develop value added products and better cultivars with greater health benefits, we analyzed total flavonoid content(TFC), composition, and radical scavenging activities in fruit extracts of 16 Chinese dwarf cherry genotypes. Fruit peel TFC ranged from 33.5 to72.8 mg/g REáFW(RE: rutin equivalent, FW: fresh weight)while fruit flesh TFC ranged from 4.3 to 16.9 mg/g REáFW.An HPLC analysis revealed that fruit extracts contained 14 flavonoids with considerable variation in their profiles across genotypes. The most abundant flavonoids in most genotypes were proanthocyanidin B1(PA-B1), proanthocyanidin B2(PA-B2), phloretin 20-O-glucoside(PG), and phloretin 20,40-O-diglucoside(PDG). Principal component analysis showed that PG, PA-B1, and PA-B2 had large,positive factor loading values in the first principal component for each genotype. Increased scavenging activity of2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH) radicals was apparent in genotypes ‘Nongda 4', ‘Nongda 3', ‘Nongda 6',‘Wenfenli', and '10-32', suggesting promising applications in the production of nutraceutical products. 20Mineral Transition of Calcium Aluminate Clinker during High-Temperature Sintering with Low-lime Dosage显示文摘The mineral transition mechanism and physicochemical property of calcium aluminate clinker sintered at 1350 ℃ were systematically studied using analytical reagent α-Al_2O_3,CaCO_3 and SiO_2 when the molar ratio of CaO to Al_2O_3 is 1.0.The results show that the formation of Ca_2SiO_4 accelerates the diffusion of CaO and Al_2O_3,which promotes the formation of CaAl_2O_4 determined by dilatometer,X-ray diffraction,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy methods.CaAl_4O_7,Ca_3Al_2O_6,Ca_3SiO_5 and Ca_2Al_2SiO_7 only exist in the initial stage of reactions,the amounts of which decrease with the increase of sintering duration.Ca_3Al_2O_6 and Ca_(12)Al_(14)O_(33) react with Al_2O_3 and CaAl_4O_7 to form CaAl_2O_4,while Ca_2Al_2SiO_7 reacts with CaO and Ca_(12)Al_(14)O_(33) to form Ca_2SiO_4 and CaAl_2O_4.The sintered clinker contains CaAl_2O_4 and γ-Ca_2SiO_4 as well as some Ca_(12)Al_(14)O_(33) when the sintering duration is longer than 1.0 h.The differential scanning calorimetry results reveal that Ca_2SiO_4,Ca_2Al_2SiO_7 and CaAl_2O_4 are formed at985 ℃,1045℃ and 1339 ℃,respectively.Increasing the sintering duration contributes to the transition of β-Ca_2SiO_4 to γ-Ca_2SiO_4,which improves the pulverization and alumina leaching property of the sintered clinker.Di Zhang Xiaolin Pan Haiyan Yu Yuchun Zhai 2015Journal of Materials Science & Technology2015,31,12:7
