| 1 | Critical velocity in phosphorus exchange processes across the sediment-water interface显示文摘Sediments are ultimate sinks of nutrients in lakes that record the pollution history evolutionary processes, and anthropogenic activities of a lake. However, sediments are considered as inner sources of environmental factor changes such as the variation in hydrodynamic conditions because of the nutrients they release. How does this process happen? This study investigates a typical nutrient phosphorus(P) exchange among sediment, suspended particle matter(SPM), and water. Compared with numerical and experimental studies, this study confirms that the critical velocity that occurs at a lower flow rate state exists in the range of 7 to 15 cm/sec. Critical velocity below the critical flow rate promotes the migration of particulate phosphorus(PP) to the SPM. | 2 | Studies on the Catalytic Properties of Magnesia Supported on γ-Alumina显示文摘We have shown that MgO can be dispersed on γ Al 2O 3 with different loadings. The observed dispersion capacity of MgO on the surface of γ Al 2O 3 is higher than the theoretical monolayer dispersion value. The surface area and the maximum in the pore size distribution gradually decrease with the increase in MgO content at low loadings. The surface area and the maximum in the pore size distribution of MgO/ γ Al 2O 3 decrease more rapidly when the MgO content is large because the pores of γ Al 2O 3 become blocked. | 5 | Co-adsorption behaviors of asphaltenes and different flow improvers and their impacts on the interfacial viscoelasticity显示文摘Commonly used flow improvers in oilfields,such as ethylene–vinyl acetate copolymer(EVA),poly(octadecyl acrylate)(POA),and polymethylsilsesquioxane(PMSQ)are proven to be effective to enhance the flowability of crude oil.However,the addition of these flow improvers may change the stability of the emulsion and make the crude oil treatment process challenging.In this research,the impacts of different flow improvers on the interfacial properties of the emulsions containing asphaltenes are systematically investigated.The co-adsorption behaviors of the flow improvers and asphaltenes are analyzed through dynamic interfacial tension(DIFT).The rheological properties of the interfacial layer after the adsorption are explored via dilational viscoelasticity.Significant difference is observed in the structural properties of the interface adsorbed by different flow improvers,which is attributed to different interactions between the flow improvers and asphaltenes.To investigate these interactions,conductivity,asphaltenes precipitation,dynamic light scattering(DLS),and contact angle experiments are conducted systematically.Results show that EVA and POA can alter the interfacial properties by changing the asphaltene dispersion state.The interaction between EVA and asphaltenes is stronger than that between POA and asphaltenes due to the difference in molecular structures.Unlike EVA and POA,the change of interfacial property with the addition of PMSQ is attributed to the partial adsorption of asphaltenes on PMSQ. | Hao Zhang Daiwei Liu Jiangbo Wen Guangyu Sun Chuanxian Li Xinya Chen Huihui Zhang Ze Duan | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,8: | 1 |

| 9 | Benchmark Dose Assessment for Coke Oven Emissions-Induced Mitochondrial DNA Copy Number Damage Effects显示文摘Objective The study aimed to estimate the benchmark dose(BMD)of coke oven emissions(COEs)exposure based on mitochondrial damage with the mitochondrial DNA copy number(mtDNAcn)as a biomarker.Methods A total of 782 subjects were recruited,including 238 controls and 544 exposed workers.The mtDNAcn of peripheral leukocytes was detected through the real-time fluorescence-based quantitative polymerase chain reaction.Three BMD approaches were used to calculate the BMD of COEs exposure based on the mitochondrial damage and its 95%confidence lower limit(BMDL).Results The mtDNAcn of the exposure group was lower than that of the control group(0.60±0.29 vs.1.03±0.31;P<0.001).A dose-response relationship was shown between the mtDNAcn damage and COEs.Using the Benchmark Dose Software,the occupational exposure limits(OELs)for COEs exposure in males was 0.00190 mg/m^(3).The OELs for COEs exposure using the BBMD were 0.00170 mg/m^(3)for the total population,0.00158 mg/m^(3)for males,and 0.00174 mg/m^(3)for females.In possible risk obtained from animal studies(PROAST),the OELs of the total population,males,and females were 0.00184,0.00178,and 0.00192 mg/m^(3),respectively.Conclusion Based on our conservative estimate,the BMDL of mitochondrial damage caused by COEs is0.002 mg/m^(3).This value will provide a benchmark for determining possible OELs. | YAN Zhao Fan GU Zhi Guang FAN Ya Hui LI Xin Ling NIU Ze Ming DUAN Xiao Ran Mallah Ali Manthar ZHANG Qiao YANG Yong Li YAO Wu WANG Wei | 2023 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2023,36,6: | 0 |
| 10 | Improvement of coercivity and thermal stability of Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets by intergranular addition of Tb80Fe20 alloy显示文摘To improve the coercivity and temperature stability of Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets for high-temperature applications,the eutectic Tb_(80)Fe_(20)(wt%)alloy powders were added into the Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets by intergranular method to enhance the coercivity(H_(cj))and thermal stability.The micro structure,magnetic properties and thermal stability of the Nd-Fe-B magnets with different Tb_(80)Fe_(20)contents were studied.The experimental results demonstrate that the coercivity(H_(cj))of the sintered Nd-Fe-B magnet is significantly enhanced from 14.12 to 27.78 kOe,and the remanence(Br)decreases not obviously by introducing 4 wt%Tb_(80)Fe_(20)alloy.Meanwhile,the reversible tempe rature coefficients of coercivity(β)and remanence(α)of the Nd-Fe-B magnets are increased from-0.5634%/℃to-0.4506%/℃and-0.1276%/℃to-0.1199%/℃at 20-170℃,respectively.The Curie temperature(TC)of the Nd-Fe-B magnet is slightly enhanced with the increase of Tb_(80)Fe_(20)content.Moreover,the irreversible flux magnetic loss(hirr)is obviously reduced as Tb80Fe20addition increases.Further analysis of the microstructure reveals that a modified microstructure,i.e.clear and continuous RE-rich grain boundary layer,is acquired in the sintered magnets by introducing Tb_(80)Fe_(20)alloy.The associated mechanisms on improved coercivity and thermal stability were comprehensively researched. | Ze Duan Haicheng Xuan Jincai Su Jingwu Chen Xiaofei Yi Youhao Liu Peide Han | 2022 | Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,12: | 0 |

| 12 | The influence of background waves on internal solitary waves after the transit of Typhoon Neast in the northern South China Sea显示文摘On the basis of the time series observations from a temperature chain and an acoustic Doppler current profiler on the continental shelf of the northern South China Sea, a sequence of internal solitary waves(ISWs) and background waves(BWs, including internal tides and near-inertial waves) on the continental shelf were captured simultaneously after the transit of Typhoon Neast in October 2011. These measurementsprovided a unique opportunity to explore the influence of BWs on the ISWs. The BWs appeared a conversion on the current strength and vertical mode structure during the observational period. The BWs were dominated by weak and mode-one waves before October 2 and then turned to strong and high-mode waves after that time. Meanwhile, the ISWs displayed different wave structures before and after October 2, which was closely related to BWs' changes. | 14 | Improvement for creep strength of a second-generation single crystal superalloy by design of heat treatments显示文摘Design of heat treatments is related to the key technology for development of nickel-based single crystal superalloys(Ni-SXs). Based on the full understanding of the solidification characteristics, this work applies optimization design of heat treatments for a second-generation Ni-SX. Microstructure evolution and creep properties are compared in the material under conventional/standard(Std.) and optimized(Opt.) treatments. For the Std. sample,strong dendritic segregations determine inconsistent microstructure evolution in the dendritic(D) and interdendritic region(ID), while the latter serves as weak area to have the prior microcrack initiation, damaging overall performance of the alloy. The Opt. treatment applies higher homogenization temperature, leading to overall reduced segregations, while not inducing incipient melting. A lower temperature of first-step ageing is used to lower the size ofγ'particles. These help to form the more uniform microstructure in dendritic and interdendritic region and relieve the inconsistent microstructure evolution. The balanced local strength makes ID no longer as the weak area,thus restricting microcrack initiation. | 16 | Dynamic changes in butyrate levels regulate satellite cell homeostasis by preventing spontaneous activation during aging显示文摘The gut microbiota plays a pivotal role in systemic metabolic processes and in particular functions,such as developing and preserving the skeletal muscle system.However,the interplay between gut microbiota/metabolites and the regulation of satellite cell(SC)homeostasis,particularly during aging,remains elusive.We propose that gut microbiota and its metabolites modulate SC physiology and homeostasis throughout skeletal muscle development,regeneration,and aging process.Our investigation reveals that microbial dysbiosis manipulated by either antibiotic treatment or fecal microbiota transplantation from aged to adult mice,leads to the activation of SCs or a significant reduction in the total number.Furthermore,employing multi-omics(e.g.,RNA-seq,16S r RNA gene sequencing,and metabolomics)and bioinformatic analysis,we demonstrate that the reduced butyrate levels,alongside the gut microbial dysbiosis,could be the primary factor contributing to the reduction in the number of SCs and subsequent impairments during skeletal muscle aging.Meanwhile,butyrate supplementation can mitigate the antibiotics-induced SC activation irrespective of gut microbiota,potentially by inhibiting the proliferation and differentiation of SCs/myoblasts.The butyrate effect is likely facilitated through the monocarboxylate transporter 1(Mct1),a lactate transporter enriched on membranes of SCs and myoblasts.As a result,butyrate could serve as an alternative strategy to enhance SC homeostasis and function during skeletal muscle aging.Our findings shed light on the potential application of microbial metabolites in maintaining SC homeostasis and preventing skeletal muscle aging. | Shujie Chen Liujing Huang Bingdong Liu Huimin Duan Ze Li Yifan Liu Hu Li Xiang Fu Jingchao Lin Yinlan Xu Li Liu Dan Wan Yulong Yin Liwei Xie | 2024 | Science China(Life Sciences)2024,67,4: | 0 |

The results show that CLDH has a good activity and a good selectivity, but the activity and the selectivity of CLDH decrease when CLDH reforms LDH- the so called 'memory effect'. The influence of the 'memory effect' on the CLDH returning to LDH was studied by the hydration reaction. | 19 | Co-adsorption behavior of aggregated asphaltenes and silica nanoparticles at oil/water interface and its effect on emulsion stability显示文摘In petroleum industry, crude oil emulsions are commonly formed in oilfields. The asphaltenes and fine particles in crude oil may affect the stability of the emulsions by adsorbing at the water/oil interface. In this research, the effect of silica nanoparticles and asphaltenes on emulsion stability is explored first. The asphaltenes are proved to benefit emulsion stability. Unlike the asphaltenes, however, the modified silica nanoparticles may have positive or negative effect on emulsion stability, depending on the asphaltene concentration and aggregation degree in the emulsions. Further, it is confirmed by conducting interfacial experiment that the asphaltenes and particles can adsorb at the interface simultaneously and determine the properties of the interfacial layer. More in-depth experiments concerning contact angle and asphaltene adsorption amount on the particles indicate that the asphaltenes can modify the wettability of the particles. Higher concentration and lower aggregation degree of the asphaltenes can increase their adsorption amount on the surface of particles and then improve the modification effectiveness of the particles.
