| 1 | Interannual variability in soil respiration from terrestrial ecosystems in China and its response to climate change显示文摘Soil respiration is an important process in terrestrial carbon cycle.Concerning terrestrial ecosystems in China, quantifying the spatiotemporal pattern of soil respiration at the regional scale is critical in providing a theoretical basis for evaluating carbon budget.In this study, we used an empirically based, semi-mechanistic model including climate and soil properties to estimate annual soil respiration from terrestrial ecosystems in China from 1970 to 2009.We further analyzed the relationship between interannual variability in soil respiration and climatic factors (air temperature and precipitation).Results indicated that the distribution of annual soil respiration showed clear spatial patterns.The highest and lowest annual soil respiration rates appeared in southeastern China and northwestern China, respectively, which was in accordance with the spatial patterns of mean annual air temperature and annual precipitation.Although the mean annual air temperature in northwestern China was higher than that in some regions of northeastern china, a greater topsoil organic carbon storage in northeastern China might result in the higher annual soil respiration in this region.By contrast, lower temperature, less precipitation and smaller topsoil organic carbon pool incurred the lowest annual soil respiration in northwestern China.Annual soil respiration from terrestrial ecosystems in China varied from 4.58 to 5.19 PgCa-1 between 1970 and 2009.During this time period, on average, annual soil respiration was estimated to be 4.83 PgCa-1 .Annual soil respiration in China accounted for 4.93%-6.01% of the global annual soil CO2 emission.The interannual variability in soil respiration depended on the interannual variability in precipitation and mean air temperature.In order to reduce the uncertainty in estimating annual soil respiration at regional scale, more in situ measurements of soil respiration and relevant factors (e.g.climate, soil and vegetation) should be made simultaneously and historical soil property data sets should also be established. | CHEN ShuTao HUANG Yao ZOU JianWen SHI YanShu LU YanYu ZHANG Wen HU ZhengHua | 2012 | Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,12: | 8 |

| 3 | Acrylamide exposure impairs blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier function显示文摘Previous studies show that chronic acrylamide exposure leads to central and peripheral neuropathy. However, the underlying mechanisms remained unclear. In this study, we examined the permeability of the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier, and its ability to secrete transthyretin and transport leptin of rats exposed to acrylamide for 7, 14, 21 or 28 days. Transthyretin levels in cerebrospinal fluid began to decline on day 7 after acrylamide exposure. The sodium fluorescein level in cerebrospinal fluid was increased on day 14 after exposure. Evans blue concentration in cerebrospinal fluid was increased and the cerebrospinal fluid/serum leptin ratio was decreased on days 21 and 28 after exposure. In comparison, the cerebrospinal fluid/serum albumin ratio was increased on day 28 after exposure. Our findings show that acrylamide exposure damages the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier and impairs secretory and transport functions. | 4 | Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae improves learning and memory capabilities in ovariectomized rats显示文摘Kidney-tonifying recipe can reduce the accumulation of advanced glycation end products, prevent neuronal degeneration and improve cognitive functions in ovariectomized rats. Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae alcohol extracts may dose-dependently inhibit non-enzymatic saccharification in vitro. This study aimed to examine the effect of Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae on advanced glycation end products and on learning and memory capabilities in ovariectomized rats. Ovariectomized rats were treated with Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae alcohol extracts (containing 1.5 g/kg crude drug) or 0.1% aminoguanidine for 12 weeks and behavioral testing was performed with the Y-electrical maze. This test revealed that Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae and aminoguanidine could improve the learning and memory capabilities of ovariectomized rats. Results of competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay showed that treatment with Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae or aminoguanidine reduced the accumulation of advanced glycation end products in the frontal cortex of ovariectomized rats, while increasing content in the blood and urine. Biochemical tests showed that treatment with Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae or aminoguanidine decreased superoxide dismutase activity in the serum and frontal cortex, and increased serum levels of glutathione peroxidase in ovariectomized rats. In addition, there was no apparent effect on malondialdehyde levels. These experimental findings indicate that Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae inhibits production of advanced glycation end products and its accumulation in brain tissue, and improves learning and memory capabilities in ovariectomized rats. | 7 | The Chinese herbal formula Tongluo Jiunao promotes expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor/tropomyosin-related kinase B pathways in a rat model of ischemic brain injury显示文摘The neurotrophin-Trk receptor pathway is an intrinsic pathway to relieve damage to the central nervous system. The present study observed the effects of Tongluo Jiunao (TLJN), which comprises Panax Notoginseng and Gardenia Jasminoides, on expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and tropomyosin-related kinase B (TrkB) in a rat model of focal cerebral ischemic injury. Xue Sai Tong (XST), comprising Panax Notoginseng, served as the positive control. Mechanisms of neuroprotection were analyzed following TLJN injection. Following establishment of the middle cerebral artery occlusion models, TLJN and XST were intraperitoneally injected, and 2, 3, 5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride staining results revealed that TLJN injection reduced infarct volume, suggesting that TLJN exerted a neuroprotective effect. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay results showed that TLJN elevated BDNF and growth associated protein-43 expression in ischemic brain tissues, as well as serum BDNF levels. Reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction and western blot results showed that TLJN injection did not affect TrkB expression in the ischemic brain tissues of rats. These results suggested that TLJN injection reduced damage to ischemic brain tissues and increased BDNF expression. | 14 | A training image optimization method in multiple-point geostatistics and its application in geological modeling显示文摘Based on the analysis of the high-order compatibility optimization method proposed by predecessors, a new training image optimization method based on data event repetition probability is proposed. The basic idea is to extract the data event contained in the condition data and calculate the number of repetitions of the extracted data events and their repetition probability in the training image to obtain two statistical indicators, unmatched ratio and repeated probability variance of data events. The two statistical indicators are used to characterize the diversity and stability of the sedimentary model in the training image and evaluate the matching of the geological volume spatial structure contained in data of the well block to be modeled. The unmatched ratio reflects the completeness of geological model in training image, which is the first choice index. The repeated probability variance reflects the stationarity index of geological model of each training image, and is an auxiliary index. Then, we can integrate the above two indexes to achieve the optimization of training image. Multiple sets of theoretical model tests show that the training image with small variance and low no-matching ratio is the optimal training image. The method is used to optimize the training image of turbidite channel in Plutonio oilfield in Angola. | 15 | A method of reconstructing 3D model from 2D geological cross-section based on self-adaptive spatial sampling:A case study of Cretaceous McMurray reservoirs in a block of Canada显示文摘An orthogonal 2D training image is constructed from the geological analysis results of well logs and sedimentary facies;the 2 D probabilities in three directions are obtained through linear pooling method and then aggregated by the logarithmic linear pooling to determine the 3 D multi-point pattern probabilities at the unknown points,to realize the reconstruction of a 3 D model from 2D cross-section.To solve the problems of reducing pattern variability in the 2 D training image and increasing sampling uncertainty,an adaptive spatial sampling method is introduced,and an iterative simulation strategy is adopted,in which sample points from the region with higher reliability of the previous simulation results are extracted to be additional condition points in the following simulation to improve the pattern probability sampling stability.The comparison of lateral accretion layer conceptual models shows that the reconstructing algorithm using self-adaptive spatial sampling can improve the accuracy of pattern sampling and rationality of spatial structure characteristics,and accurately reflect the morphology and distribution pattern of the lateral accretion layer.Application of the method in reconstructing the meandering river reservoir of the Cretaceous McMurray Formation in Canada shows that the new method can accurately reproduce the shape,spatial distribution pattern and development features of complex lateral accretion layers in the meandering river reservoir under tide effect.The test by sparse wells shows that the simulation accuracy is above 85%,and the coincidence rate of interpretation and prediction results of newly drilled horizontal wells is up to 80%. | WANG Lixin YIN Yanshu WANG Hui ZHANG Changmin FENG Wenjie LIU Zhenkun WANG Pangen CHENG Lifang LIU Jiong | 2021 | Petroleum Exploration and Development2021,48,2: | 0 |

| 18 | Structural basis for the acetylation of histone H3K9 and H3K27 mediated by the histone chaperone Vps75 in Pneumocystis carinii显示文摘Rtt109 is a histone acetyltransferase(HAT)that is a potential therapeutic target in conditioned pathogenic fungi Pneumocystis carinii(P.carinii).The histone chaperone Vps75 can stimulate the Rtt109-dependent acetylation of several histone H3 lysines and preferentially acetylates H3K9 and H3K27 within canonical histone(H3–H4)2 tetramers.Vps75 shows two protein conformations assembled into dimeric and tetrameric forms,but the roles played by multimeric forms of Vps75 in Rtt109-mediated histone acetylation remain elusive.In P.carinii,we identified that Vps75(PcVps75)dimers regulate H3K9 and H3K27 acetylation by directly interacting with histone(H3–H4)2 tetramers,rather than by forming a Vps75-Rtt109 complex.For PcVps75 tetramers,the major histone-binding surface is buried within a walnut-like structure in the absence of a histone cargo.Based on crystal structures of dimeric and tetrameric forms of PcVps75,as well as HAT assay data,we confirmed that residues 192E,193D,194E,195E,and 196E and the disordered C-terminal tail(residues 224–250)of PcVps75 mediate interactions with histones and are important for the Rtt109 in P.carinii(PcRtt109)-mediated acetylation of H3K9 and H3K27,both in vitro and in yeast cells.Furthermore,expressing PcRtt109 alone or in combination with PcVps75 variants that cannot effectively bind histones could not fully restore cellular growth in the presence of genotoxic agents that block DNA replication owing to the absence of H3K9 and H3K27 acetylation.Together,these data indicate that the interaction between PcVps75 and histone(H3–H4)2 tetramers is a critical regulator of the Rtt109-mediated acetylation of H3K9 and H3K27. | Yiping Chen Yang Zhang Hui Ye Yanshu Dou Deren Lu Xiaolu Li Andrew H.Limper Junhong Han Dan Su | 2019 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2019,4,1: | 0 |
