| 1 | Efficient improvement of 2.7 μm luminescence of Er^(3+):oxyfluoride glass containing gallium by Yb^(3+) ions codoping显示文摘Mid-infrared laser materials with low phonon energy have significant applications. However, the development of available glass systems for high-power laser gain medium have posed a great challenge.Therefore, we investigated the 2.7 μm spectroscopic properties of Er^(3+)/Yb^(3+) -codoped oxyfluoride glass containing gallium, which were prepared by typically melting and quenching methods. The 2.7 μm luminescence properties of the Er^(3+)/Yb^(3+)-codoped oxyfluoride glass containing gallium were recorded by a 980 nm laser diode. The Judde Ofelt parameters, decay curves, emission cross section, energy transfer efficiency and quantum efficiency were calculated. The maximum emission cross section of YbFGa-0.5 is 1.63 × 10^(-20) cm^2 by 980 nm excitation. The energy transfer efficiency is calculated to be77.8% for the YbFGa-0.5 glass around 2700 nm. The quantum efficiency at 1530 nm is 65.6%. | 5 | Sunlight-controlled CO_(2) separation resulting from a biomass-based CO_(2) absorber显示文摘Renewable solid sorbents for CO_(2) capture and storage have shown great potentials for the sake of gaseous separation,tail gas treatment,environmental regulation and climate governance.However,current existed preparation and reusability of solid sorbents are generally subject to high energy consumption and complicated procedure.Herein,a light-controlled CO_(2) separation system with high working temperature resulting from natural sawdust combined with polyethyleneimine is fabricated,which involves low energy input and few operating sequences.This system shows a direct and ratiometric response to sunlight illumination by which CO_(2) can be reversibly adsorbed and released.This light-controlled CO_(2) separation process is prospective to become an attractive alternative to traditional alkaline CO_(2) collection method in terms of its convenience and low cost.As a practical demonstration,CO_(2) mixed with N_(2) is successfully separated through this light-controlled carbon capture and storage(CCS) system,which offers great promise for CO_(2) capture and enrichment with applicability across a wide range of scales. | Shiming Zhang Qianhao Pan Yapei Wang | 2022 | Green Energy & Environment2022,7,3: | 1 |
| 6 | Channel measurements and models for high-speed train wireless communication systems in tunnel scenarios: a survey显示文摘The rapid developments of high-speed trains(HSTs) introduce new challenges to HST wireless communication systems. Realistic HST channel models play a critical role in designing and evaluating HST communication systems. Due to the length limitation, bounding of tunnel itself, and waveguide effect, channel characteristics in tunnel scenarios are very different from those in other HST scenarios. Therefore, accurate tunnel channel models considering both large-scale and small-scale fading characteristics are essential for HST communication systems. Moreover, certain characteristics of tunnel channels have not been investigated sufficiently. This article provides a comprehensive review of the measurement campaigns in tunnels and presents some tunnel channel models using various modeling methods. | 13 | Quartz types,genesis and their geological significance within the Wufeng-Longmaxi Formation in north-western Hunan,China显示文摘Quartz is an important mineral component in the Late Ordovician–Early Silurian Wufeng-Longmaxi Formation with various forms and sources and has a significant impact on the properties of shale gas reservoirs.In this study,geochemical analysis,scanning electron microscopy(SEM)observation,and rock mechanics testing were performed on shale samples from the Wufeng-Longmaxi Formation in north-western Hunan,South China.Quartz is classified into four types based on morphological features and cathodoluminescence(CL)images under SEM–terrigenous detrital quartz,quartz overgrowths,biogenic skeletal quartz and microquartz.The quartz in Upper Longmaxi Formation is predominantly of terrigenous origin and contains a small amount of quartz formed by clay transformation.The quartz in the Wufeng-Lower Longmaxi Formation is predominantly biogenic.The biogenic quartz has a direct effect on organic matter(OM)abundance,pore structure and brittleness.It is indicated by the positive correlation with TOC content and biogenic Ba content that biogenic quartz-rich strata have high paleoproductivity.The rigid frameworks formed by biogenic quartz during the early diagenesis stage facilitated the preservation of the primary pores.The interparticle pores of biogenic quartz are the space for OM preservation and migration,creating conditions for the development of OM pores.Additionally,the calculated brittleness index(BI)shows a positive correlation with biogenic quartz content,indicating that layers rich in biogenic quartz are more conducive to fracture.Therefore,the Wufeng-Lower Longmaxi Formation has higher OM content,porosity and represents a more favorable exploration and development target. | Ke ZHANG Shuheng TANG Zhaodong XI Yapei YE | 2023 | Frontiers of Earth Science2023,17,2: | 0 |
| 14 | pH-Sensitive assembly/disassembly gold nanoparticles with the potential of tumor diagnosis and treatment显示文摘Due to the ability to combine the separately unique characteristics of assembled and disassembled nanoparticles(NPs), the stimuli-responsive self-assembly of NPs has attracted considerable interest in functional material applications especially biomaterials. Here we demonstrate a facile and versatile approach to regulate the self-assembly process and transition pH of Au NPs by fine-tuning the co-modified pH-responsive compounds and poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG). Importantly the transition pH(ΔpH=0.4) of the system can be predetermined in the range of 8.2–5.8(assembled to disassembled) and 8.2–4.2(disassembled to assembled), which ideally covers the pH of normal tissue, tumor tissue milieu and organelles. The results of fluorescence imaging, Raman spectroscopy and photothermal conversion of the stimuli-responsive Au NPs shows the potential application for tumor specificity theranostics.
