| 3 | A 3D-Bioprinted dual growth factor-releasing intervertebral disc scaffold induces nucleus pulposus and annulus fibrosus reconstruction显示文摘Regeneration of Intervertebral disc(IVD)is a scientific challenge because of the complex structure and composition of tissue,as well as the difficulty in achieving bionic function.Here,an anatomically correct IVD scaffold composed of biomaterials,cells,and growth factors were fabricated via three-dimensional(3D)bioprinting technology.Connective tissue growth factor(CTGF)and transforming growth factor-β3(TGF-β3)were loaded onto polydopamine nanoparticles,which were mixed with bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)for regenerating and simulating the structure and function of the nucleus pulposus and annular fibrosus.In vitro experiments confirmed that CTGF and TGF-β3 could be released from the IVD scaffold in a spatially controlled manner,and induced the corresponding BMSCs to differentiate into nucleus pulposus like cells and annulus fibrosus like cells.Next,the fabricated IVD scaffold was implanted into the dorsum subcutaneous of nude mice.The reconstructed IVD exhibited a zone-specific matrix that displayed the corresponding histological and immunological phenotypes:primarily type II collagen and glycosaminoglycan in the core zone,and type I collagen in the surrounding zone.The testing results demonstrated that it exhibited good biomechanical function of the reconstructed IVD.The results presented herein reveal the clinical application potential of the dual growth factors-releasing IVD scaffold fabricated via 3D bioprinting.However,the evaluation in large mammal animal models needs to be further studied. | Binbin Sun Meifei Lian Yu Han Xiumei Mo Wenbo Jiang Zhiguang Qiao Kerong Dai | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,1: | 5 |
| 4 | Combined amendment reduces soil Cd availability and rice Cd accumulation in three consecutive rice planting seasons显示文摘The scientific application of stabilized materials has been considered an effective method for the in situ remediation of Cd-contaminated soil.This study aimed to investigate the persistence of the effect of a combined amendment of limestone and sepiolite(LS)on soil Cd availability and accumulation in rice grown in a mildly Cd-contaminated paddy field(0.45 mg/kg of Cd)over three consecutive rice seasons.1125–4500 kg/ha of LS was applied to the soil before the first rice planting season and 562.5–2250 kg/ha of LS was supplemented before the third rice planting season.The application of LS(1125–4500 kg/ha)increased the soil p H by 0.44–1.09,0.18–0.53,and 0.42–0.68 in the first,second,and third season,respectively,and decreased the soil acid-extractable Cd content by 18.2–36.4%,17.7–33.5%,and9.6–17.6%.LS application significantly decreased the Cd contents in the rice tissues.The application of 4500 kg/ha of LS decreased the Cd content in brown rice to below the National Food Limit Standard of 0.2 mg/kg(GB 2762-2017)in the three consecutive rice seasons.However,the effect of LS on the soil-rice system was significantly weakened in the third season.The supplementary application of 562.5–2250 kg/ha of LS further decreased the Cd content in brown rice by 26.1–56.5%and decreased the health risk index by 23.7–43.8%.Therefore,it was recommended to apply 4500 kg/ha of LS in the first season and to supplement2250 kg/ha of LS in the third season to effectively guarantee the clean production of rice in three consecutive rice seasons. | Wenjun Yang Shilong Wang Hang Zhou Min Zeng Jingyi Zhang Fang Huang Shiping Shan Zhaohui Guo Hongwei Yi Zhiguang Sun Jiaofeng Gu Bohan Liao | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,1: | 4 |
| 5 | Highly Selective Biomimetic Flexible Tactile Sensor for Neuroprosthetics显示文摘Biomimetic flexible tactile sensors endow prosthetics with the ability to manipulate objects,similar to human hands.However,it is still a great challenge to selectively respond to static and sliding friction forces,which is crucial tactile information relevant to the perception of weight and slippage during grasps.Here,inspired by the structure of fingerprints and the selective response of Ruffini endings to friction forces,we developed a biomimetic flexible capacitive sensor to selectively detect static and sliding friction forces.The sensor is designed as a novel plane-parallel capacitor,in which silver nanowire-3D polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)electrodes are placed in a spiral configuration and set perpendicular to the substrate.Silver nanowires are uniformly distributed on the surfaces of 3D polydimethylsiloxane microcolumns,and silicon rubber(Ecoflex^(■))acts as the dielectric material.The capacitance of the sensor remains nearly constant under different applied normal forces but increases with the static friction force and decreases when sliding occurs.Furthermore,aiming at the slippage perception of neuroprosthetics,a custom-designed signal encoding circuit was designed to transform the capacitance signal into a bionic pulsed signal modulated by the applied sliding friction force.Test results demonstrate the great potential of the novel biomimetic flexible sensors with directional and dynamic sensitivity of haptic force for smart neuroprosthetics. | Yue Li Zhiguang Cao Tie Li Fuqin Sun Yuanyuan Bai Qifeng Lu Shuqi Wang Xianqing Yang Manzhao Hao Ning Lan Ting Zhang | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 4 |

It is noted that the flutter of sandwich beam occurs under the coupling effect of low order modes. The critical flutter aerodynamic pressure of the sandwich beam is higher than that of the isotropic beam with the same weight, length and width. | 11 | OsbZIP72 Is Involved in Transcriptional Gene-Regulation Pathway of Abscisic Acid Signal Transduction by Activating Rice High-Affinity Potassium Transporter OsHKT1;1显示文摘We created CRISPR-Cas9 knock-out and overexpressing OsbZIP72 transgenic rice plants to gain a better understanding of the role and molecular mechanism of OsbZIP72 gene in stress tolerance,which has remained largely elusive.OsbZIP72 was expressed and integrated into rice transgenic plant genomes,and the OsbZIP72 transcript in overexpression lines was elicited by salinity,abscisic acid(ABA)and drought stresses.OsbZIP72 overexpressing plants showed higher tolerance to drought and salinity stresses,while knock-out transgenic lines showed higher sensitivity to these stresses.The differentially expressed genes(DEGs)from RNA-sequencing data encompassed several abiotic stress genes,and the functional classification of these DEGs demonstrated the robust transcriptome diversity in OsbZIP72.Yeast one-hybrid,along with luciferase assay,indicated that OsbZIP72 acted as a transcriptional initiator.Remarkably,electrophoresis mobility assay revealed that OsbZIP72 bound directly to the ABAresponsive element in the OsHKT1;1 promoter region and activated its transcription.Overall,our findings revealed that OsbZIP72 can act as a transcriptional modulator with the ability to induce the expression of OsHKT1;1 in response to environmental stress through an ABA-dependent regulatory pathway,indicating that OsbZIP72 can play a crucial role in the ABA-mediated salt and drought tolerance pathway in rice. | WANG Baoxiang LIU Yan WANG Yifeng LI Jingfang SUN Zhiguang CHI Ming XING Yungao XU Bo YANG Bo LI Jian LIU Jinbo CHEN Tingmu FANG Zhaowei LU Baiguan XU Dayong Babatunde Kazeem BELLO | 2021 | Rice science2021,28,3: | 2 |

| 15 | Combination of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine for functional constipation:A meta-analysis显示文摘To systematically assess the effectiveness and safety of using acupuncture with traditional Chinese medicine for functional constipation so as to provide the evidence-based data for clinical practice.Wanfang databases,CBM,VIP,CNKI,PubMed,Cochrane Library and EMbase were searched for trials based on randomization and control for use of acupuncture in combination with CHM for functional constipation published from the inception of the database to Dec.2019.We used the risk of bias of Cochrane Collaboration for literature quality assessment,extracted trial data in duplicate,and then assessed the risk of bias.The data were discussed by adopting Review Manager 5.3 program.A total of 22 RCTs with 2574 cases were retrieved.Meta-analysis showed that acupuncture with CHM could improve the clinical effectiveness(OR6.10,95%CI 4.72–7.87,P<0.00001);heterogeneity was not identified(Chi^(2)=32.84,P=0.43,I^(2)=2%),and the difference was statistically significant.Second-level outcomes(e.g.,defecation interval time(P<0.00001),Bristol Stool Scale(P=0.002),defecation difficulty(P=0.01)and accompanying symptoms(P<0.00001))in the treatment groups were significantly different after the acupuncture with CHM compared with control groups,whereas defecation symptoms were not significantly different(P=0.06).The use of acupuncture with CHM can significantly improve the clinical efficacy of functional constipation,ameliorate Bristol Stool Scale,defecation difficulty,defecation symptoms,and accompanying symptoms,as well as shorten the defecation interval time,with better safety. | Dongxue Lu Feng Liu Jing Yan Haixia Liu Zhiguang Sun Bingyu Chen Shilin Zhu Fei Ge | 2022 | Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2022,,4: | 1 |

| 17 | Microstructural evolution of polymer-derived hexagonal boron nitride fibres under high-temperature stretching显示文摘High-temperature stretching plays a crucial role in enhancing the performance of fibres,while a quantitative investigation into the impacts of tension and stretching duration on the microstructure and performance of hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)fibres remains absent.In this study,to elucidate the microstructural evolution of the h-BN fibres under thermal stretching,amorphous BN fibres were heated at 2000℃under tension of 30,50,and 70 N for 1,3,and 5 h in a nitrogen atmosphere.Subsequently,the grain size,pore structure,orientation degree,microscopic morphology,and mechanical properties were analysed at room temperature.The results show that high-temperature stretching enhances the orientation degree of the BN fibres,consequently elevating Young’s modulus.The maximum orientation degree of the BN fibres was 86%,aligning with a corresponding Young’s modulus of 206 GPa.Additionally,high-temperature stretching enlarged the sizes of grains and pores,a fact substantiated by the radial cracking of the fibres upon extending thermal stretching time.Owing to the expanded pore structure of the BN fibres and the inability to form a sufficiently strong“card structure”between shorter microfibre bundles,the tensile strength of the BN fibres did not increase continually,reaching a maximum of 1.0 GPa.Microstructural observations revealed that the BN fibres,composed of highly oriented lamellar h-BN grains,tend to form radial textures under high-tensile thermal stretching and onion-skin textures under prolonged thermal stretching.These findings offer a theoretical foundation for the preparation of high-performance h-BN fibres. | Zhiguang Wang Min Ge Shouquan Yu Xiaoming Sun Xueli Qi Hao Zhang Wen Xiao Weigang Zhang | 2023 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,10: | 0 |
