| 1 | Theoretical foundations of triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs)显示文摘Triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG) is an emerging powerful technology for converting ambient mechanical energy into electrical energy through the effect of triboelectricity. Starting from the expanded Maxwell’s equations, the theoretical framework of TENGs has been gradually established. Here, a review is given about its recent progress in constructing of this general theory. The fundamental mechanism of TENGs is constructed by the driving force—Maxwell’s displacement current, which is essentially different from that of electromagnetic generators. Theoretical calculations of the displacement current from a threedimensional mathematical model are presented, as well as the theoretical studies on the TENGs according to the capacitor models. Furthermore, the figure-of-merits and standards for quantifying the TENG’s output characteristics are discussed, which will provide important guidelines for optimizing the structure and performance of TENGs toward practical applications. | 2 | METTL5 stabilizes c-Myc by facilitating USP5 translation to reprogram glucose metabolism and promote hepatocellular carcinoma progression显示文摘Background:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is one of the most prevalent cancers in the world,with a high likelihood of metastasis and a dismal prognosis.The reprogramming of glucosemetabolism is critical in the development ofHCC.TheWarburg effect has recently been confirmed to occur in a variety of cancers,including HCC.However,little is known about the molecular biological mechanisms underlying the Warburg effect in HCC cells.In this study,we sought to better understand how methyltransferase 5,N6-adenosine(METTL5)controls the development of HCC and theWarburg effect.Methods:In the current study,quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting were used to detect the expression of METTL5 in HCC tissues and cell lines.Several different cell models and animal models were established to determine the role of METTL5 in glucose metabolism reprogramming and the underlying molecularmechanism of HCC.Glutathione-S-transferase pulldown,coimmunoprecipitation,RNA sequencing,non-targeted metabolomics,polysome profiling,and luciferase reporter assays were performed to investigate the molecular mechanisms of METTL5 in HCC cells.Results:We discovered that METTL5 drove glucose metabolic reprogramming to promote the proliferation and metastasis of HCC.Mechanistically,upregulation of METTL5 promoted c-Myc stability and thus activated its downstream glycolytic genes lactate dehydrogenase A(LDHA),enolase 1(ENO1),triosephosphate isomerase 1(TPI1),solute carrier family 2 member 1(SLC2A1),and pyruvate kinase M2(PKM2).The c-Box and ubiquitin binding domain(UBA)regions of ubiquitin specific peptidase 5(USP5)binded to c-Myc protein and inhibited K48-linked polyubiquitination of c-Myc.Further study revealed that METTL5 controled the USP5 translation process,which in turn regulated the ubiquitination of c-Myc.Furthermore,we identified cAMP responsive element binding protein 1(CREB1)/P300 as a critical transcriptional regulator ofMETTL5 that promoted the transcription of METTL5 in HCC.In patient-derived tumor xenograft(PDX)models,adenovirus-mediated knockout of METTL5 had a good antitumor effect and prolonged the survival of PDX-bearing mice.Conclusions:These findings point to a novel mechanism by which CREB1/P300-METTL5-USP5-c-Myc controls abnormal glucose metabolism and promotes tumor growth,suggesting that METTL5 is a potential therapeutic target and prognostic biomarker for HCC. | Peng Xia Hao Zhang Haofeng Lu Kequan Xu Xiang Jiang Yuke Jiang Xiangdong Gongye Zhang Chen Jie Liu Xi Chen Weijie Ma Zhonglin Zhang Yufeng Yuan | 2023 | Cancer Communications2023,43,3: | 3 |

| 5 | Application of immobilized psychrotrophs in ICCBR to treat domestic wastewater and its microbiological investigation显示文摘To guarantee the efficiency of biotreatment of domestic wastewater in chilly season, six high efficient cold-adapted microorganisms were isolated, and identified as Zoogloea, Aeromonas, Flarobacterium, Micrococcus, Bacillus, Pseudomonas. These cold-adapted microorganisms with 63.67% Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) removal efficiency higher than that of mesophiles at low temperature were immobilized on soft polyurethane foams and applied to internal circulation compound bioreactor (ICCBR) to treat domestic wastewater. In an experiment period of 12 months, the treatment efficiency, ecological factors, sludge physicochemical properties, and microbiology were studied. Results showed that the average COD removal efficiency in the ICCBR was 85.79% between 4℃ and 10℃ in winter, and 86.66% in the whole year, and COD of systemic effluent was below 60 mg·L-1 which could achieve the first-degree B discharge standard of pollutants in China for municipal wastewater treatment plant. | 10 | Enhanced comprehensive properties of stereolithography 3D printed alumina ceramic cores with high porosities by a powder gradation design显示文摘Ceramic cores with complex structures and optimized properties are critical for hollow turbine blades applied in aeroengines.Compared to traditional methods,additive manufacturing(AM)presents great advantages in forming complex ceramic cores,but how to balance the porosity and strength is an enormous challenge.In this work,alumina ceramic cores with high porosity,moderate strength,and low high-temperature deflection were prepared using stereolithography(SLA)3D printing by a novel powder gradation design strategy.The contradiction between porosity and flexural strength is well adjusted when the mass ratio of the coarse,medium,and fine particles is 2:1:1 and the sintering temperature is 1600℃.The fracture mode of coarse particles in sintered SLA 3D printing ceramic transforms from intergranular fracture to transgranular fracture with the increase of sintering temperature and the proportion of fine powders in powder system.The sintered porosity has a greater influence on the high-temperature deflection of SLA 3D printed ceramic cores than grain size.On this basis,a'non-skeleton'microstructure model of SLA 3D printed alumina ceramic cores is created to explain the relationship between the sintering process and properties.As a result,high porosity(36.4%),appropriate strength(50.1 MPa),and low high-temperature deflection(2.27 mm)were achieved by optimizing particle size gradation and sintering process,which provides an insight into the important enhancement of the comprehensive properties of SLA 3D printed ceramic cores. | Xiang Li Haijun Su Dong Dong Di Zhao Yuan Liu Zhonglin Shen Hao Jiang Yinuo Guo Haifang Liu Guangrao Fan Wenchao Yang Taiwen Huang Jun Zhang Lin Liu Hengzhi Fu | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,36: | 1 |

| 15 | Identification of Germline Mutations in East‑Asian Young Never‑Smokers with Lung Adenocarcinoma by Whole‑Exome Sequencing显示文摘Recently,an increasing number of young never-smokers are diagnosed with lung cancer.The aim of this study is to investigate the genetic predisposition of lung cancer in these patients and discover candidate pathogenic variants for lung adenocarcinoma in young never-smokers.Peripheral blood was collected from 123 never-smoking east-Asian patients diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma before the age of 40.Whole-exome sequencing(WES)was conducted on genomic DNA extracted from peripheral blood cells.As a result,3,481 single nucleotide variants were identified.By bioinformatical tools and the published gene list associated with genetic predisposition of cancer,pathogenic variants were detected in ten germline genes:ATR,FANCD2,FANCE,GATA2,HFE,MSH2,PDGFRA,PMS2,SDHB,and WAS.Patients with pathogenic variants were more likely to occur in females(9/10,90.0%)and have stage IV lung adenocarcinoma(4/10,40%).Furthermore,germline muta-tions in 17 genes(ASB18,B3GALT5,CLEC4F,COL6A6,CYP4B1,C6orf132,EXO1,GATA4,HCK,KCP,NPHP4,PIGX,PPIL2,PPP1R3G,RRBP1,SALL4,and TTC28),which occurred in at least two patients,displayed potentially pathogenic effects.Gene ontology analysis further showed that these genes with germline mutations were mainly located in nucleo-plasm and associated with DNA repair-related biological processes.The study provides spectrum of pathogenic variants and functional explanation for genetic predisposition of lung adenocarcinoma in young never-smokers,which sheds a light on prevention and early diagnosis of lung cancer. | Fangqiu Fu Xiaoting Tao Zhonglin Jiang Zhendong Gao Yue Zhao Yuan Li Hong Hu Libing Shen Yihua Sun Yang Zhang | 2023 | Phenomics2023,3,2: | 0 |

| 17 | Formation mechanism and roles of oxygen vacancies in melt-grown Al_(2)O_(3)/GdAlO_(3)/ZrO_(2) eutectic ceramic by laser 3D printing显示文摘Laser three-dimensional(3D)printing has become a significant technique to fabricate high-performance Al_(2)O_(3)-based eutectic ceramics based on melt growth.However,oxygen vacancies are inevitable crystal defects during this process,and their formation mechanism and roles in the as-deposited ceramics are still unclear.In this paper,Al_(2)O_(3)/GdAlO_(3)/ZrO_(2) ternary eutectic ceramics were prepared by laser 3D printing,and the formation mechanism of the oxygen vacancies was revealed by conducting a well-designed annealing experiment.In addition,the effects of the oxygen vacancies on the structure and mechanical property of the as-solidified eutectic ceramic were investigated.The formation of oxygen vacancies is revealed to be a result of the transfer of oxygen atoms from the oxide ceramic to the oxygen-deficient atmosphere by means of vacancy migration mechanism.Besides,the presence of oxygen vacancies has no obvious effects on crystalline structure and microstructure of the additively manufactured eutectic ceramic.However,the chemical bond property changes to some extent due to the formation of these crystal defects,which may affect the mechanical property of the as-deposited eutectic ceramic.It is found that the hardness decreases by 3.9%,and the fracture toughness increases by 13.3%after removing the oxygen vacancies.The results may provide a potential strategy to regulate the mechanical property of the oxide ceramic materials. | Haifang LIU Haijun SU Zhonglin SHEN Hao JIANG Di ZHAO Yuan LIU Yinuo GUO Xiang LI Min GUO Jun ZHANG Lin LIU Hengzhi FU | 2022 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2022,11,11: | 0 |
| 18 | A Review of Emerging Metallic System for High-Energy Beam Additive Manufacturing: Al–Co–Cr–Fe–Ni High Entropy Alloys显示文摘Al–Co–Cr–Fe–Ni high entropy alloy(HEA) system is a newly developed category of metallic materials possessing unique microstructure, mechanical and functional properties, which presents many promising industrial applications. In recent years, additive manufacturing technology has given rise to a great potential for fabricating HEA parts of ultra-fine grains and geometrical complexity, thereby attracting great interest of researchers. Herein, a comprehensive review emphasizes on the recent developments in high-energy beam additive manufacturing of Al–Co–Cr–Fe–Ni HEA, in the aspects of their printing processes, microstructures, properties, defects, and post treatments. The technical characteristics of three typical high-energy beam additive manufacturing technologies for printing HEA, namely, selective laser melting(SLM), selective electron beam melting(SEBM), and directed energy deposition(DED) are systematically summarized. Typical crystal structure, grain, microstructure, as well as corresponding properties of Al–Co–Cr–Fe–Ni HEA manufactured by those technologies are primarily presented and discussed. It also elaborates the formation mechanisms of harmful defects related to the rapid solidification and complex thermal cycle during high-energy beam additive manufacturing. Furthermore, several kinds of post treatments with an aim to improve performance of HEA are illustrated.
