A new dynamics model for traffic flow显示文摘As a study method of traffic flow, dynamics models were developed and applied in the last few decades. However, there exist some flaws in most existing models. In this note, a new dynamics model is proposed by using car-following theory and the usual connection method of micro-macro variables, which can overcome some ubiquitous problems in the existing models. Numerical results show that the new model can very well simulate traffic flow conditions, such as congestion, evacuation of congestion, stop-and-go phenomena and phantom jam. | Rui Jiang Qingsong Wu Zuojin Zhu | 2001 | Chinese Science Bulletin2001,46,4: | 10
A Survey on Artificial Intelligence in Posture Recognition显示文摘Over the years, the continuous development of new technology has promoted research in the field of posture recognition and also made the application field of posture recognition have been greatly expanded. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the latest methods of posture recognition and review the various techniques and algorithms of posture recognition in recent years, such as scale-invariant feature transform, histogram of oriented gradients, support vectormachine(SVM),Gaussian mixturemodel, dynamic time warping, hiddenMarkovmodel(HMM),lightweight network, convolutional neural network(CNN).We also investigate improved methods of CNN,such as stacked hourglass networks,multi-stage pose estimation networks, convolutional posemachines, and high-resolution nets. The general process and datasets of posture recognition are analyzed and summarized, and several improved CNNmethods and threemain recognition techniques are compared. In addition, the applications of advanced neural networks in posture recognition, such as transfer learning, ensemble learning, graph neural networks, and explainable deep neural networks, are introduced. It was found that CNN has achieved great success in posture recognition and is favored by researchers.Still,a more in-depth research is needed in feature extraction, information fusion, and other aspects.Among classification methods,HMM and SVM are the most widely used, and lightweight network gradually attracts the attention of researchers. In addition, due to the lack of 3Dbenchmark data sets, data generation is a critical research direction. | Xiaoyan Jiang Zuojin Hu Shuihua Wang Yudong Zhang | 2023 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2023,,10: | 2

Travel time prediction with viscoelastic traffic model显示文摘Travel time through a ring road with a total length of 80 km has been predicted by a viscoelastic traffic model(VEM), which is developed in analogous to the non-Newtonian fluid flow. The VEM expresses a traffic pressure for the unfree flow case by space headway, ensuring that the pressure can be determined by the assumption that the relevant second critical sound speed is exactly equal to the disturbance propagation speed determined by the free flow speed and the braking distance measured by the average vehicular length. The VEM assumes that the sound speed for the free flow case depends on the traffic density in some specific aspects, which ensures that it is exactly identical to the free flow speed on an empty road. To make a comparison, the open Navier-Stokes type model developed by Zhang(ZHANG, H. M. Driver memory, traffic viscosity and a viscous vehicular traffic flow model. Transp. Res. Part B, 37, 27–41(2003)) is adopted to predict the travel time through the ring road for providing the counterpart results. When the traffic free flow speed is 80 km/h, the braking distance is supposed to be 45 m,with the jam density uniquely determined by the average length of vehicles l ≈ 5.8 m. To avoid possible singular points in travel time prediction, a distinguishing period for time averaging is pre-assigned to be 7.5 minutes. It is found that the travel time increases monotonically with the initial traffic density on the ring road. Without ramp effects, for the ring road with the initial density less than the second critical density, the travel time can be simply predicted by using the equilibrium speed. However, this simpler approach is unavailable for scenarios over the second critical. | Yongliang ZHANG M.N.SMIRNOVA A.I.BOGDANOVA Zuojin ZHU N.N.SMIRNOV | 2018 | Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2018,39,12: | 1

Impacts of Down-Up Hill Segment on the Threshold of Shock Formation of Ring Road Vehicular Flow显示文摘The study of impacts of down-up hill road segment on the density threshold of traffic shock formation in ring road vehicular flow is helpful to the deep understanding of sags’bottleneck effect.Sags are freeway segments along which the gradient increases gradually in the traffic direction. The main aim of this paper is to seek the density threshold of shock formation of vehicular flow in ring road with down-up hill segment, because down-up hill roadway segment is a source to cause capacity reduction that is an attractive topic in vehicular traffic science. To seek the density threshold numerically,a viscoelastic continuum model[1]is extended and used.To solve the model equations,a fifth-order weighted essentially non-oscillatory scheme for spatial discretization, and a 3rd order Runge-Kutta scheme for time partial derivative term are used.Validation by existing observation data and the Navier-Stokes like model[2]extended as EZM is done before conducting extensive numerical simulations. For ring road vehicular flow with three separated down-up hill segments,it is found that the density threshold of shock formation decreases monotonically with the relative difference of free flow speed, this variation can be simply fitted by a third order polynomial. | Zejing Hu M.N.Smirnova N.N.Smirnov Yongliang Zhang Zuojin Zhu | 2023 | Advances in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics2023,15,5: | 0
Weakened humoral immune responses of inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccines in patients with solid tumors显示文摘Dear Editor Coronavirus disease 19(COVID-19),caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),remains a pandemic.Cancer patients have a higher risk of poor outcomes for SARS-CoV-2 infection than the general population[1].Vaccines were shown to effectively prevent SARS-CoV-2 infection, severe disease progression, and mortality.Inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccines(BBIBPCorV and CoronaVac)have been approved and widely used in China, with the former shown to be more effective than the latter[2].Hence,there is an urgent need to investigate the safety and humoral immune responses of inactivated vaccines in cancer patients. | Zhiwei Chen Peng Zhu Zuojin Liu Bin Zhu Guobing Yin Jia Ming Rui Song Qingbo Pan Tong Li Xingwei Jiang Bing Wang Shuaibin Liu Hongxing Cai Jingjie Wang Yuling Han Zijing Lin Yang Hong Min Chen Mingli Peng Lina Hu Dachuan Cai Hong Ren | 2023 | Cancer Communications2023,43,2: | 0

Spectrum of Glycidyl Methacrylate-induced Mutation in Plasmid-Escherichia coli System显示文摘In order to chitracterizc the speclrum of mutallon indueed by glyeidyl methacrylule(GMA ), the plasmid pBR322 was modificed with this mutagen in vitro , transttclcd intoapproprate Escherichia colii host HB101. The mutants were then sereened and defined by DNA sequencing . Sequence analysis reveals that G MA induces two classes of mulations deletion of the mono-. di’ or fetra-base or the insertion of mono’ or di-base. Both typesof mutations, with about 10 % frequency. occur predominantly at C-G runs and at5’-CNCCN-3’ sequence ,which are hotspots for GMA damage and may cause frameshift mutation. | GAOHui-Lan ZuoJin 等 | 1994 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences1994,7,1: | 0
Traffic flow sensitivity to visco-elasticity显示文摘This letter reports traffic flow sensitivity to visco-elasticity, with the traffic flow modeling briefly described at first and then used to do traffic flow simulations whose results can reflect the properties of spatial–temporal evolution of ring traffic flow. It reveals that visco-elasticity plays crucial role in formation of traffic flow patterns, implying that self-organization of traffic flow is crucial in determining traffic flow status. | M.N. | 18 | Inlet flow disturbance effects on direct numerical simulation of incompressible round jet at Reynolds number 2500显示文摘This letter reports inlet flow disturbance effects on direct numerical simulation of incompressible round jet at Reynolds number 2500.The simulation employs an accurate projection method in which a sixth order biased upwind difference scheme is used for spatial discretization of nonlinear convective terms, with a fourth order central difference scheme used in the discretization of the divergence of intermediate velocity.Carefully identifying reveals that the inlet flow disturbance has some influences on the distribution pattern of mean factor of swirling strength intermittency. With the increase of inlet disturbance magnitude jet core cone slightly shortens, observable differences occur in the centerline velocity and its fluctuations, despite the negligible impacts on the least square fitted centerline velocity decay constant(B_u)and distribution parameter(K_u)for velocity profile in self-similar region. | Zejing Hu Yongliang Zhang Zuojin Zhu | 2018 | Theoretical & Applied Mechanics Letters2018,8,5: | 0
Direct Numerical Simulation of Incompressible Flows in a Zero-Pressure Gradient Turbulent Boundary Layer显示文摘Direct numerical simulation(DNS)of incompressible flows in a zeropressure gradient turbulent boundary layer(TBL)is conducted by a finite difference method in which a fourth order upwind scheme is applied to discretize the convective terms while a re-scaling approach is used to set inlet flow conditions. The Reynolds numbers based on free flow velocity and momentum thickness at the recycle section are respectively 687,1074,and 1430.The DNS has obtained favorable results indicating that the turbulence statistics is quite satisfactory as compared with the existing numerical and experimental results. The three dimensional turbulent structures at the momentum thickness Reynolds number of 1430 in several different instants are illustrated by the iso-surface of swirl strength square(the square of imaginary part of the complex eigenvalue of velocity gradient tensor)together with velocity vectors in three different cross sections. It is found that there are three kinds of vortical structures:quasi-symmetrical and asymmetrical hairpin vortices, and worm-like vortices. The DNS based on the numerical method can certainly reveal the main characteristics of the TBL flows at the given Reynolds numbers. | Chuanta Lin Zuojin Zhu | 2010 | Advances in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics2010,2,4: | 0
Tunnel effects on ring road traffic flow based on an urgent-gentle class traffic model显示文摘To explore tunnel effects on ring road traffic flow,a macroscopic urgent-gentle class traffic model is put forward. The model identifies vehicles with urgent and gentle classes, chooses the tunnel speed limit as free flow speed to express the fundamental diagram in the tunnel, and adopts algebraic expressions to describe traffic pressure and sound speed. With two speed trajectories at the Kobotoke tunnel in Japan, the model is validated, with good agreement with observed data.Numerical results indicate that in the case of having no ramp effects, tunnel mean travel time is almost constant dependent on tunnel length. When initial density normalized by jam density is above a threshold of about 0.21,a traffic shock wave originates at the tunnel entrance and propagates backward.Such a threshold drops slightly as a result of on-ramp merging effect, the mean travel time drops as off-ramp diversion effect intensifies gradually. These findings deepen the understanding of tunnel effects on traffic flow in reality. | Yongliang Zhang M.N.Smirnova Jian Ma N.N.Smirnov Zuojin Zhu | 2021 | Theoretical & Applied Mechanics Letters2021,11,4: | 0
