2Recent Advances of Graphitic Carbon Nitride-Based Structures and Applications in Catalyst, Sensing, Imaging, and LEDs显示文摘The graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_3N_4) which is a two-dimensional conjugated polymer has drawn broad interdisciplinary attention as a low-cost, metal-free, and visible-light-responsive photocatalyst in the area of environmental remediation. The g-C_3N_4-based materials have excellent electronic band structures, electron-rich properties, basic surface functionalities, high physicochemical stabilities and are ‘‘earth-abundant.'' This review summarizes the latest progress related to the design and construction of g-C_3N_4-based materials and their applications including catalysis, sensing,imaging, and white-light-emitting diodes. 3Effect of Shengmai Yin on the DNA methylation status of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell and its radioresistant strains显示文摘Shengmai Yin(SMY)is a Chinese herbal decoction that effectively alleviates the side effects of radiotherapy in various cancers and helps achieve radiotherapy’s clinical efficacy.In this study,we explored the interaction mechanism among SMY,DNA methylation,and nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).We identified differences in DNA methylation levels in NPC CNE-2 cells and its radioresistant cells(CNE-2R)using the methylated DNA immunoprecipitation array and found that CNE-2R cells showed genomewide changes in methylation status towards a state of hypomethylation.SMY may restore its original DNA methylation status,and thus,enhance radiosensitivity.Furthermore,we confirmed that the differential gene Tenascin-C(TNC)was overexpressed in CNE-2R cells and that SMY downregulated TNC expression.This downregulation of TNC inhibited NPC cell radiation resistance,migration,and invasion.Furthermore,we found that TNC was hypomethylated in CNE-2R cells and partially restored to a hypermethylated state after SMY intervention.DNA methyltransferases 3 a may be the key protein in DNA methylation of TNC.Shiya Liu Zhiyuan Wang Daoqi Zhu Jiabin Yang Dandan Lou Ruijiao Gao Zetai Wang Aiwu Li Ying Lv Qin Fan 2021Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2021,11,6:4
4The influence of ^(18)F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography on the N-and M-staging and subsequent clinical management of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma显示文摘Background:Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(ICC)is a highly metastatic cancer.^(18)F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography(^(18)F-FDG PET/CT)enables sensitive tumor and metastasis detection.Our aim is to evaluate the influence of pre-treatment PET/CT on the N-and M-staging and subsequent clinical management in ICC patients.Methods:Between August 2010 and August 2018,660 consecutive ICC patients,without prior anti-tumor treatments nor other malignancies,were enrolled.The diagnostic performance of PET/CT on the N-and M-staging was compared with conventional imaging,and the preoperative staging accuracy and treatment re-allocation by PET/CT were retrospectively calculated.Survival difference was compared between patients receiving PET/CT or not after propensity score matching.Results:Patients were divided into group A(n=291)and group B(n=369)according to whether PET/CT was performed.Among 291 patients with both PET/CT and conventional imaging for staging in group A,PET/CT showed significantly higher sensitivity(83.0%vs.70.5%,P=0.001),specificity(88.3%vs.74.9%,P<0.001)and accuracy(86.3%vs.73.2%,P<0.001)than conventional imaging in diagnosing regional lymph node metastasis,as well as higher sensitivity(87.8%vs.67.6%,P<0.001)and accuracy(93.5%vs.89.3%,P=0.023)in diagnosing distant metastasis.Overall,PET/CT improved the accuracy of preoperative staging from 60.1%to 71.8%(P<0.001),and modified clinical treatment strategy in 5.8%(17/291)of ICC patients,with unique roles in different tumor-node-metastasis(TNM)stages.High tumor-to-non-tumor ratio(TNR)predicted poor overall survival[hazard ratio(HR)=2.17;95%confidence interval(CI):1.49-3.15;P<0.001].Furthermore,patients performing PET/CT had longer overall survival compared with those without PET/CT(HR=0.74;95%CI:0.58-0.93;P=0.011)after propensity score matching.Conclusions:PET/CT was valuable for diagnosing regional lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis in ICC patients,and facilitated accurate tumor staging and optimal treatment allocation.Youpei Lin Huanhuan Chong Guohe Song Chenhao Zhang Liangqing Dong Ling Aye Fei Liang Shuaixi Yang Mengsu Zeng Guangyu Ding Shu Zhang Jieyi Shi Aiwu Ke Xiaoying Wang Jian Zhou Jia Fan Qiang Gao 2022Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2022,11,5:3
5Brood sex ratio in the Yellow-bellied Prinia(Prinia flaviventris)显示文摘Background:The adjustment of sex ratios in birds can occur at the egg and nestling stages. Previous studies showed that the sex ratio was affected by environmental factors and parental condition; it may result in seasonal and ecosystem differences.Methods:In this study, the brood sex ratio of the Yellow-bellied Prinia(Prinia flaviventris) in the Nonggang area, Guangxi, southwestern China, was investigated during the breeding season from May to June in 2013 using PCR amplification from whole-genome DNA extracted from blood samples. A total of 31 nests of Yellow-bellied Prinia, including 132 brood fledglings and 31 pairs, were sampled.Results:The results showed that the brood sex ratio of the Yellow-bellied Prinia was 1:1, and sex ratios of different nests were evenly distributed within the study area. No significant relationship was found between parental quality and nest characteristics with the brood sex ratio.Conclusions:The present study indicated that no brood sex ratio bias in the Yellow-bellied Prinia highlighted the complexity of sex ratio adjustment in birds. 63D dahlia-like NiAl-LDH/CdS heterosystem coordinating with 2D/2D interface for efficient and selective conversion of CO_(2)显示文摘Developing photocatalyst with high activity,superior stability and prominent selectivity for CO_(2)conversion is of great importance for the target of carbon neutralization.Herein,3 D dahlia-like NiAl-LDH/CdS heterosystem is developed through in-situ decoration of exfoliated CdS nanosheets on the scaffold of NiAl-LDH and the on-spot self-assembly.The formation of a hierarchical architecture collaborating with well-defined 2 D/2 D interfacial interaction is constructed by optimizing the ratio of CdS integrated in the formation of the heterojunction.The light-harvesting capacity of NiAl-LDH/CdS is improved by this unique scaffold,and the charge transfer between NiAl-LDH and CdS is effectively facilitated by virtue of the unique 2 D/2 D interface.As a result,the 3 D hierarchical NiAl-LDH/CdS heterosystem presents 12.45μmol g^(-1)h^(-1)of CO production(3.3 and 1.6 folds of pristine NiAl-LDH and CdS) with 96% selectivity and superior stability.This 3 D hierarchical design collaborating with 2 D/2 D interfacial interaction provides a new avenue to develop ideal catalysts for artificial photosynthesis.Xiaoyue Zhang Yong Yang Lijun Xiong Tianyu Wang Zheng Tang Panjie Li Nan Yin Aiwu Sun Jinyou Shen 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,4:2
7Investigation of the oil-seawater mixed flow under an electromagnetic field显示文摘The electromagnetic separation method is a new approach to treat ship-based marine oily wastewater,in which oil droplets are dispersed in seawater(oil-seawater mixed flow).In order to clarify the separation process and determine the separation characteristics,the flow field and volume fraction of the oil droplets of the oil-seawater mixed flow under an applied electromagnetic field with different operating conditions were investigated by 2D numerical simulations with the Eulerian model.The results show that:(1)the downward Lorentz force causes seawater to flow downwards and the oil droplets to move upwards due to the electromagnetic separation force in the effective section of the separation channel;(2)the volume fraction of the oil droplets at the top of the outlet section increases with the current density,magnetic field,and the diameter of the oil droplet and decreases with the inlet velocity of the oily seawater.The results provide useful guidance for the design of electromagnetic separation devices of the oil-seawater mixed flow.Aiwu Peng Lingzhi Zhao Xiaoqiang Chen Qingfan Zhang Ciwen Sha Jianping Zhao Ran Li Zhaolian Wang 2019Acta Oceanologica Sinica2019,38,7:2

10A highly stable, luminescent and layered zinc(Ⅱ)-MOF:Iron(Ⅲ)/copper(Ⅱ) dual sensing and guest-assisted exfoliation显示文摘A highly stable and luminescent metal-organic framework(LMOF) with layered structure,namely,C6H4N5OZn(1) has been successfully achieved and fully characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction,powder X-ray diffractions,fluorescence titration and thermogravimetry.This blue-light emitting compound 1 exhibit outstanding stability and can detect Fe3+ and Cu2+ in water specifically,presenting potential application in the field of fluorescent probe technology.Fluorescence titration experiments indicate that the detection of Fe3+ ions by 1 is more significant than that of Cu2+ ions in terms of Ksv value.Furthermore,guest-assisted exfoliation of layered MOF 1 is efficiently carried out through ether O—H hydrogen bond or π…π interactions between the layered host structure and intercalated guest molecules(4,4’-oxybisbenzoic acid and triphenylamine).Tyndal scattering was observed in the suspensions of obtained MOF nanosheets.This study shows that the compound 1 with unique metal ion sensing properties can be applied as a probe material in water pollution treatment field,but also opens up the opportunity for synthesizing luminescent MONs through the 'bottom-up' guest intercalation methodology.Xiu Qian Siyu Deng Xiang Chen Qiang Gao Yun-Long Hou Aiwu Wang Lizhuang Chen 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,9:1
113D hierarchical architecture collaborating with 2D/2D interface interaction in Ni Al-LDH/Ti_(3)C_(2) nanocomposite for efficient and selective photoconversion of CO_(2)显示文摘Photocatalytic conversion of CO_(2)into a special chemical fuel with high yield and selectivity is still a major challenge.Herein,a 3 D hierarchical Ni Al-LDH/Ti_(3)C_(2)MXene(LDH/TC)nanocomposite is constructed through in situ loading of Ti_(3)C_(2)nanosheets on the Ni Al-LDH scaffold during the hydrothermal process.The formation of a uniform and well-defined 2 D/2 D heterogeneous interface can be realized by optimizing the ratio of Ti_(3)C_(2)and the precursors for Ni Al-LDH.The 3 D hierarchical scaffold with high specific surface area contributes to the favourable photon adsorption and utilization.The intimate contact between Ti_(3)C_(2)and Ni Al-LDH with numerous interfaces effectively promotes the separation of the photoinduced electron-hole pairs in Ni Al-LDH.Together with the highly exposed oxidation-reduction active sites and the enhanced CO_(2)capture and activation.The maximum photocatalytic CO production rate on Ni AlLDH/Ti_(3)C_(2)reaches 11.82 lmol g^(-1)h^(-1)with 92%selectivity and superior stability.This work provides an effective approach for the development of an ideal photocatalyst by collaborative utilization of materials with different dimensionalities.Qunrong Shi Xiaoyue Zhang Yong Yang Junjie Huang Xiaolong Fu Tianyu Wang Xiaodong Liu Aiwu Sun Jianhua Ge Jinyou Shen Yong Zhou Zuliang Liu 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,8:1
12Subcellular Localizations of AS1 and AS2 Suggest Their Common and Distinct Roles in Plant Development显示文摘During leaf organogenesis, a critical step for normal leaf primordium initiation is the repression of the class 1 KNOTTED1- like homeobox (KNOX) genes. After leaf primordia are formed, they must establish polarity for normal leaf morphogenesis. Recent studies have led to the identification of a number of genes that participate in the class 1 KNOX gene repression and/or the leaf polarity establishment. ASTMMETRIC LEAVES1 and 2 (AS1 and AS2) are two of these genes, which are critical for both of these two processes. As a first step towards understanding the molecular genetic basis of the AS1-AS2 action, we determined the subcellular localizations of the two proteins in both tobacco BY2 cells and Arabidopsis plants, by fusing them to yellow/cyan fluorescent protein (YFP/CFP). Our data showed that AS1 and AS2 alone were predominantly localized in the nucleolus and the nucleoplasm, respectively. The presence of both AS1 and AS2 proteins in the same interphase cell demonstrated their co-localization in both nucleolus and nucleoplasm. In addition, AS1 alone was able to associate with the condensed chromosome in the metaphase cell. 13Kinetics and Mechanism Modeling of Liquid-Phase Toluene Oxidation to Benzaldehyde Catalyzed by Mn–Mo Oxide显示文摘In this study, liquid-phase aerobic oxidation of toluene catalyzed by Mn–Mo oxide was conducted in a 1.0 L batch reactor. The macroscopic kinetics of toluene consumption and benzaldehyde generation at 413–443 K were obtained from a combination of experimental observation and hypothetical models. The results clearly showed that both the oxidation rate of toluene and generation rate of the aromatic product were proportional to the concentration of the substrate, the partial pressure of oxygen and the surface area of the catalyst. The energy barrier of toluene oxidation to benzyl alcohol was the highest(≈ 81 kJ mol^(-1)), while that of benzyl alcohol oxidation to benzaldehyde was the lowest(≈ 57 kJ mol^(-1)). Moreover, the activation energy of further oxidation of benzaldehyde in an acetic acid solvent was only slightly lower(≈ 1.9 kJ mol^(-1)) than that of toluene oxidation. Significantly, the transformation of benzyl alcohol indeed contributed to the generation of benzaldehyde and this step conformed to a first-order parallel-consecutive model. Increased reaction temperature and residence time favored the transformation of benzyl alcohol to benzaldehyde. In addition, doping with molybdenum at Mn/Mo = 3/1 enhanced the catalytic performance of the heterogeneous catalyst and was attributed to the presence of a synergetic effect between different metal cations. Regarding the microscopic kinetics, the LH-OS-ND mechanism(Langmuir–Hinshelwood adsorption of reagents on the same type of active sites and non-dissociative adsorption of oxygen) was verified as responsible for the heterogeneous oxidation of toluene. Oxygen and benzaldehyde were weakly adsorbed(Δ H_(ads,Oxy) ≈^(-1)5 kJ mol^(-1), Δ H _(ads)0,Bald) ≈-30 kJ mol^(-1)), but showed strong mobility(Δ S_(ads,Oxy) ≈-22 J mol^(-1) K^(-1)), Δ S_(ads,Bald) ≈-39 J mol^(-1) K^(-1)). 14Development and behavior of Plaintive Cuckoo(Cacomantis merulinus) nestlings and their Common Tailorbird(Orthotomus sutorius) hosts显示文摘Background:Our knowledge of avian brood parasitism is primarily based on studies of a few selected species.Recently,researchers have targeted a wider range of host–parasite systems,which has allowed further evaluation of hypotheses derived from well-known study systems but also disclosed adaptations that were previously unknown.Here we present developmental and behavioral data on the previously undescribed Plaintive Cuckoo(Cacomantis merulinus) nestling and one of its hosts,the Common Tailorbird(Orthotomus sutorius).Methods:We discovered more than 80 Common Tailorbird nests within an area of 25 km2,and we recorded nestling characteristics,body mass,tarsus length and begging display every 3 days for both species.Results:Plaintive Cuckoo nestlings followed a developmental pathway that was relatively similar to that of their well-studied relative,the Common Cuckoo(Cuculus canorus).Tailorbird foster siblings were evicted from the nest rim.The cuckoo nestlings gained weight faster than host nestlings,and required 3–9 days longer time to fledge than host nestlings.Predation was high during the early stages of development,but the nestlings acquired a warning display around 11 days in the nest,after which none of the studied cuckoo nestlings were depredated.The cuckoos' begging display,which appeared more intense than that of host nestlings,was initially vocally similar with that of the host nestlings but began to diverge from the host sound output after day 9.Conclusions:The developmental data on Plaintive Cuckoo nestlings and their tailorbird host builds an important foundation for future work on the co-evolutionary interactions in this parasite–host system.Odd Helge Tunheim B?rd G.Stokke Longwu Wang Canchao Yang Aiwu Jiang Wei Liang Eivin R?skaft Frode Foss?y 2019Avian Research2019,10,1:1

16A Versatile Numerical Tool for Simulating Combustion Features at Small-Scales显示文摘A versatile numerical tool based on the open-source framework Open FOAM has been developed in this paper for modeling time-accurate,low-Mach number reacting flows,with a particular interest in small-scale flames.This tool consists of a gas-phase Navier-Stokes solver and a solid-wall heat conduction solver which can be implemented alone,or used together in a coupled means to reveal the small-scale combustion’s characteristics of significantly enhanced flame-wall thermal coupling.Validation works has proved that the tool is capable of reproducing experimental flames at various scales(from conventional to small scales),including well-recognized micro-flame features in literature such as three modes of premixed flame dynamics(weak flames,flames with repetitive extinction and ignition,and stable flames).Then,an experimentally-already-found but rarely-simulated unique phenomenon of diffusion flame street is successfully reproduced with well-captured flame structures.Moreover,the conjugate heat transfer model with the specific formulation of solid-wall heat conduction enables an attempt to simulate a novel,thermally-orthotropic combustor with its axial thermal conductivities superior to the transverse ones.Finally,computational performance of the developed Open FOAM solver is compared to that of the previously-used compressible flow solver Eilmer.The Open FOAM solver is found to show better wave-damping abilities for overcoming acoustic wave effects at the initial stage of simulations,and is much more efficient in terms of the computational cost.KANG Xin DENG Youcheng WANG Jianyong FAN Aiwu 2021Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,1:1

19Histone methylation readers MRG1/MRG2 interact with the transcription factor TCP14 to positively modulate cytokinin sensitivity in Arabidopsis显示文摘Cytokinins influence many aspects of plant growth and development.Although cytokinin biosynthesis and signaling have been well studied in planta,little is known about the regulatory effects of epigenetic modifications on the cytokinin response.Here,we reveal that mutations to Morf Related Gene(MRG)proteins MRG1/MRG2,which are readers of trimethylated histone H3 lysine 4 and lysine 36(H3K4me3 and H3K36me3),result in cytokinin hyposensitivity during various developmental processes,including callus induction and root and seedling growth inhibition.Similar to the mrg1 mrg2 mutant,plants with a defective AtTCP14,which belongs to the TEOSINTE BRANCHED,CYCLOIDEA,AND PROLIFERATING CELL FACTOR(TCP)transcription factor family,are insensitive to cytokinin.Furthermore,the transcription of several genes related to cytokinin signaling pathway is altered.Specifically,the expression of Arabidopsis thaliana HISTIDINE-CONTAINING PHOSPHOTRANSMITTER PROTEIN 2(AHP2)decreases significantly in the mrg1 mrg2 and tcp14-2 mutants.We also confirm the interaction between MRG2 and TCP14 in vitro and in vivo.Thus,MRG2 and TCP14 can be recruited to AHP2 after recognizing H3K4me3/H3K36me3 markers and promote the histone-4 lysine-5 acetylation to further enhance AHP2 expression.In summary,our research elucidate a previously unknown mechanism mediating the effects of MRG proteins on the magnitude of the cytokinin response.Fan Wang Xixi Cai Huizhe Wei Linghao Zhang Aiwu Dong Wei Su 2023Journal of Genetics and Genomics2023,50,8:0
20Knowledge Mapping of Opuntia Milpa Alta Since 1998: A Scientometric Analysis显示文摘Opuntia Milpa Alta is a cactus cultivated,domesticated,hybridized and selected from the plant Opuntia ficusindica by Mexican agricultural experts,which can be used as fruit and vegetable.Opuntia Milpa Alta leaves and fruit are superior to wild varieties and suitable for storage and transportation.In 1998,Opuntia Milpa Alta was introduced to China from Mexico by the Quality Product Development Center of the Ministry of Agriculture of China.Up to now,the Opuntia Milpa Alta has been cultivated on a certain scale in China.This study aims to identify the research progress and development trends of Opuntia Milpa Alta in China.Papers published between 1998 to 2019 from two major Chinese academic databases(CNKI and Wangfang)with a topic search related to Opuntia Milpa Alta were collected.The research progress and development trends were analyzed based on CiteSpace software of text mining and visualization.The analysis found that Opuntia Milpa Alta has gone through three obvious research phases after being introduced to China.In the first phase,the researchers paid attention to its cultivation method.Subsequently,researchers began to use extraction methods to extract some of its components,such as polysaccharides and flavonoids.Finally,these extracted ingredients began to be used in some biomedical research.Meixiang Chen Hong Yang Zhengda Song Yonghua Gu Yuhong Zheng Jiangwei Zhu Aiwu Wang Li Fu 2021Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2021,90,5:0
