1The discovery of Palaeoproterozoic volcanic rocks in the Bulunkuoler Group from the Tianshuihai Massif in Xinjiang of Northwest China and its geological significance显示文摘In the Dabudaer region of the Tianshuihai Massif (Xinjiang, Northwest China), metavolcanic rocks within the mainly meta-sedimentary Bulunkuoler Group are basalt, basaltic andesite, and rhyolite. In situ zircon U-Pb LA-ICP-MS dating on rhyolite magmatic zircons yielded an age of 2481±14 Ma, interpreted as the eruption age of the Bulunkuoler Group volcanic rocks. The basalt and basaltic andesite are low-Al tholeiite series and the rhyolite is low-Al calc-alkaline series. All of rocks are charac-terized by enrichment of LREE and LILE (Rb, Th and Ba), depletion of P, Nb, Ta and Ti, and absence of Eu anomalies. The εNd(t) of basalts ranges from 3.14 to 4.88 indicating a depleted mantle source. The trace element signatures show that these magmas experienced intense crustal contamination during their ascent. Direct evidence for crustal contamination is the xenocrystic zircons in the ryholite, with ages back to ca. 3300 Ma. The primitive-mantle normalized and Zr/Y-Zr diagrams for the basic volcanic rocks show that they formed in an intra-continental tectonic setting. 2Noninvasive Ultrasound Deep Brain Stimulation for the Treatment of Parkinson’s Disease Model Mouse显示文摘Modulating basal ganglia circuitry is of great signifcance in the improvement of motor function in Parkinson’s disease(PD).Here,for the frst time,we demonstrate that noninvasive ultrasound deep brain stimulation(UDBS)of the subthalamic nucleus(STN)or the globus pallidus(GP)improves motor behavior in a subacute mouse model of PD induced by 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine(MPTP).Immunohistochemical c-Fos protein expression confrms that there is a relatively high level of c-Fos expression in the STN-UDBS and GP-UDBS group compared with sham group(both p<0.05).Furthermore,STN-UDBS or GPUDBS signifcantly increases the latency to fall in the rotarod test on day 9(p<0.05)and decreases the time spent climbing down a vertical rod in the pole test on day 12(p<0.05).Moreover,our results reveal that STN-UDBS or GP-UDBS protects the dopamine(DA)neurons from MPTP neurotoxicity by downregulating Bax(p<0.001),upregulating Bcl-2(p<0.01),blocking cytochrome c(Cyt C)release from mitochondria(p<0.05),and reducing cleaved-caspase 3 activity(p<0.01)in the ipsilateral substantia nigra(SN).Additionally,the safety of ultrasound stimulation is characterized by hematoxylin and eosin(HE)and Nissl staining;no hemorrhage or tissue damage is detected.Tese data demonstrate that UDBS enables modulation of STN or GP neural activity and leads to neuroprotection in PD mice,potentially serving as a noninvasive strategy for the clinical treatment of PD.Hui Zhou Lili Niu Long Meng Zhengrong Lin Junjie Zou Xiangxiang Xia Xiaowei Huang Wei Zhou Tianyuan Bian Hairong Zheng 2019Research2019,,1:9

5Calcium silicate accelerates cutaneous wound healing with enhanced re-epithelialization through EGF/EGFR/ERK-mediated promotion of epidermal stem cell functions显示文摘Background:Human epidermal stem cells(hESCs)play an important role in re-epithelialization and thereby in facilitating wound healing,while an effective way to activate hESCs remains to be explored.Calcium silicate(CS)is a form of bioceramic that can alter cell behavior and promote tissue regeneration.Here,we have observed the effect of CS on hESCs and investigated its possible mechanism.Methods:Using a mouse full-thickness skin excision model,we explored the therapeutic effect of CS on wound healing and re-epithelialization.In vitro,hESCs were cultured with diluted CS ion extracts(CSIEs),and the proliferation,migration ability and stemness of hESCs were evaluated.The effects of CS on the epidermal growth factor(EGF),epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)and extracellular signal-related kinase(ERK)signaling pathway were also explored.Results:In vivo,CS accelerated wound healing and re-epithelialization.Immunohistochemistry demonstrated that CS upregulated cytokeratin 19 and integrinβ1 expression,indicating that CS improved hESCs stemness.In vitro studies confirmed that CS improved the biological function of hESCs.And the possible mechanism could be due to the activation of the EGF/EGFR/ERK signaling pathway.Conclusion:CS can promote re-epithelialization and improve the biological functions of hESCs via activating the EGF/EGFR/ERK signaling pathway.Bingmin Li Haowen Tang Xiaowei Bian Kui Ma Jiang Chang Xiaobing Fu Cuiping Zhang 2021Burns & Trauma2021,9,1:3

7Noninvasive Ultrasound Stimulation of Ventral Tegmental Area Induces Reanimation from General Anaesthesia in Mice显示文摘Evidence in animals suggests that deep brain stimulation or optogenetics can be used for recovery from disorders of consciousness(DOC).However,these treatments require invasive procedures.This report presents a noninvasive strategy to stimulate central nervous system neurons selectively for recovery from DOC in mice.Through the delivery of ultrasound energy to the ventral tegmental area,mice were aroused from an unconscious,anaesthetized state in this study,and this process was controlled by adjusting the ultrasound parameters.The mice in the sham group under isoflurane-induced,continuous,steady-state general anaesthesia did not regain their righting reflex.On insonation,the emergence time from inhaled isoflurane anaesthesia decreased(sham.13.63±0.53 min,ultrasound.1.5±0.19 min,p<0.001).Further,the induction time(sham.12.0±0.6 min,ultrasound.17.88±0.64 min,p<0.001)and the concentration for 50%of the maximal effect(EC50)of isoflurane(sham.0.6%,ultrasound.0.7%)increased.In addition,ultrasound stimulation reduced the recovery time in mice with traumatic brain injury(sham.30.38±1.9 min,ultrasound.7.38±1.02 min,p<0.01).This noninvasive strategy could be used on demand to promote emergence from DOC and may be a potential treatment for such disorders.Tianyuan Bian Wen Meng Meihong Qiu Zhigang Zhong Zhengrong Lin Junjie Zou Yibo Wang Xiaowei Huang Lisheng Xu Tifei Yuan Zhili Huang Lili Niu Long Meng Hairong Zheng 2021Research2021,,1:2
8Luminescent and photovoltaic properties of poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene-co-bithiophene) in organic electronic devices显示文摘We studied the luminescent and photovoltaic properties of poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene-co-bithiophene)(F8T2) based on ITO/PEDOT:PSS/F8T2/Bphen/LiF(0 or 1 nm)/Al and ITO/PEDOT:PSS/F8T2:PCBM/Bphen/Al.A stable and bright yellow emission was obtained from polymer F8T2,and the electroluminescence power reached 45 ?W at a 15 V driving voltage.Polymer F8T2 shows a broad absorption band from 400 to 500 nm,and has a shorter absorption edge at about 560 nm compared to that of the typical electron donor P3HT(650 nm).The photoluminescence quenching of F8T2 occurs with only a small fraction of blended PCBM due to the effective exciton dissociation at the interface between F8T2 and PCBM.Polymer solar cells(PSCs) using F8T2:PCBM as the active layer show a low power conversion efficiency(PCE) of 0.10% with an open circuit voltage(Voc) of 0.91 V and short circuit current density(Jsc) of 0.23 mA/cm2.The PSCs using F8T2:P3HT:PCBM as the active layer have a Voc of 0.85 V and Jsc of 3.02 mA/cm2,improving the PCE by about 0.90%.We attribute the improved cell performance to the higher number of photons harvested by P3HT molecules.XU XiaoWei ZHU EnWei BIAN LinYi WANG ZiXuan WANG Jin ZHUO ZuLiang WANG Jian ZHANG FuJun TANG WeiHua 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,9:2
9Overview of the CMIP6 Historical Experiment Datasets with the Climate System Model CAS FGOALS-f3-L显示文摘The three-member historical simulations by the Chinese Academy of Sciences Flexible Global Ocean–Atmosphere–Land System model,version f3-L(CAS FGOALS-f3-L),which is contributing to phase 6 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP6),are described in this study.The details of the CAS FGOALS-f3-L model,experiment settings and output datasets are briefly introduced.The datasets include monthly and daily outputs from the atmospheric,oceanic,land and sea-ice component models of CAS FGOALS-f3-L,and all these data have been published online in the Earth System Grid Federation(ESGF,https://esgf-node.llnl.gov/projects/cmip6/).The three ensembles are initialized from the 600th,650th and 700th model year of the preindustrial experiment(piControl)and forced by the same historical forcing provided by CMIP6 from 1850 to 2014.The performance of the coupled model is validated in comparison with some recent observed atmospheric and oceanic datasets.It is shown that CAS FGOALS-f3-L is able to reproduce the main features of the modern climate,including the climatology of air surface temperature and precipitation,the long-term changes in global mean surface air temperature,ocean heat content and sea surface steric height,and the horizontal and vertical distribution of temperature in the ocean and atmosphere.Meanwhile,like other state-of-the-art coupled GCMs,there are still some obvious biases in the historical simulations,which are also illustrated.This paper can help users to better understand the advantages and biases of the model and the datasets。Yuyang GUO Yongqiang YU Pengfei LIN Hailong LIU Bian HE Qing BAO Shuwen ZHAO and Xiaowei WANG 2020Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2020,37,10:1
10Therapeutic potential of gasotransmitters for cold stress-related cardiovascular disease显示文摘Growing evidence has shown that exposure to low ambient temperature poses a huge challenge to human health globally.Actually,cold stress is closely associated with a higher incidence of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in winter or in cold regions.Cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying cardiovascular complications in response to cold exposure have yet to be fully clarified.Considering that cold exposure is an important risk of cardiovascular complications,it is necessary to clarify the molecular mechanism of cold stress-induced cardiovascular diseases and to develop effective intervention strategies.Hydrogen sulfide(H2S),nitric oxide(NO),and carbon monoxide(CO)are well-known gasotransmitters that are endogenously produced in many biological systems.Accumulating studies have demonstrated that these gasotransmitters play a critical role in a wide spectrum of physiological and/or pathophysiological processes by regulating numerous signaling pathways.These gas signal molecules are emerging as important players in cardiovascular homeostasis,and disruption of these gasotransmitters is critically implicated in cardiovascular anomalies,such as hypertension,atherosclerosis,myocardial ischemia,heart failure,and stroke.Also,evidence is emerging that H2S,NO,and CO may be involved in the pathologies of cold stress-induced cardiovascular ailments.In this review,we aim to highlight and discuss the recent advances towards the development of gasotransmitters-based therapeutics for cold stress-related cardiovascular pathogenesis.We believe that the effects of H2S,NO,and CO on cardiovascular regulation under cold environment will attract tremendous interest in the near future as they serve as novel regulators of cardiovascular biology in cold environment.Haijian Sun Xiaowei Nie Kangying Yu Jinsong Bian 2022Frigid Zone Medicine2022,2,1:1

12Pollen-Inspired Photonic Barcodes with Prickly Surface for Multiplex Exosome Capturing and Screening显示文摘Exosomes,which play an important role in intercellular communication,are closely related to the pathogenesis of disease.However,their effective capture and multiplex screening are still challenging.Here,inspired by the unique structure of pollens,we present novel photonic crystal(PhC)barcodes with prickly surface by hydrothermal synthesis for multiplex exosome capturing and screening.These pollen-inspired PhC barcodes are imparted with extremely high specific surface area and excellent prickly surface nanostructures,which can improve the capture rate and detection sensitivity of exosomes.As the internal periodic structures are kept during the hydrothermal synthesis process,the pollen-inspired PhC barcodes exhibit obvious and stable structural colors for identification,which enables multiplex detection of exosomes.Thus,the pollen-inspired PhC barcodes can not only effectively capture and enrich cancer-related exosomes but also support multiplex screening of exosomes with high sensitivity.These features make the prickly PhC barcodes ideal for the analysis of exosomes in medical diagnosis.Ning Li Feika Bian Xiaowei Wei Lijun Cai Hongcheng Guu Yuanjin Zhao Luoran Shang 2023Research2023,,1:0
13Datasets for the CMIP6 Scenario Model Intercomparison Project (ScenarioMIP) Simulations with the Coupled Model CAS FGOALS-f3-L显示文摘The datasets for the tier-1 Scenario Model Intercomparison Project(ScenarioMIP)experiments from the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS)Flexible Global Ocean-Atmosphere-Land System model,finite-volume version 3(CAS FGOALS-f3-L)are described in this study.ScenarioMIP is one of the core MIP experiments in phase 6 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP6).Considering future CO2,CH4,N2O and other gases’concentrations,as well as land use,the design of ScenarioMIP involves eight pathways,including two tiers(tier-1 and tier-2)of priority.Tier-1 includes four combined Shared Socioeconomic Pathways(SSPs)with radiative forcing,i.e.,SSP1-2.6,SSP2-4.5,SSP3-7.0 and SSP5-8.5,in which the globally averaged radiative forcing at the top of the atmosphere around the year 2100 is approximately 2.6,4.5,7.0 and 8.5 W m−2,respectively.This study provides an introduction to the ScenarioMIP datasets of this model,such as their storage location,sizes,variables,etc.Preliminary analysis indicates that surface air temperatures will increase by about 1.89℃,3.07℃,4.06℃ and 5.17℃ by around 2100 under these four scenarios,respectively.Meanwhile,some other key climate variables,such as sea-ice extension,precipitation,heat content,and sea level rise,also show significant long-term trends associated with the radiative forcing increases.These datasets will help us understand how the climate will change under different anthropogenic and radiative forcings.Shuwen ZHAO Yongqiang YU Pengfei LIN Hailong LIU Bian HE Qing BAO Yuyang GUO Lijuan HUA Kangjun CHEN Xiaowei WANG 2021Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,2:0
14A controlled random gene perturbation method identifies ARPC1B gene as a key regulator of cancer metastasis显示文摘The discovery of clinically useful targets to treat specific pathological conditions can provide novel therapeutic approaches.To unbiasedly identify key genes related to tumor metastasis,we developed a random gene perturbation method using a piggyBac transposon system under the control of a doxycycline regulated promoter.Using this random gene perturbation method and utilizing a mouse model of metastatic pancreatic cancer,we identified genes dysregulated in metastasized cells from a random mutagenesis library after multiple rounds of in vivo selection.Analysis of these metastasized clones revealed the downregulation of ARPC1B gene.Our further mechanistic studies revealed that ARPC1B gene and its closely related gene ARPC1A worked in a regulatory loop to control tumor metastasis.These findings validate that piggyBac transposon mediated random gene perturbation is a powerful tool to investigate the functional relevance of novel genes and the ARPC1A/B axis is a potential key regulator of tumor metastasis.De Chang Hongzhen Du Xiaowei Chen Xiaocui Bian Wenjia Tian Jing Shen Yiju Wei Yunpeng Jiang Charles Dela Cruz Lixin Xie Lokesh Sharma Kailong Li 2023Genes & Diseases2023,10,3:0

16ADAR1 regulates vascular remodeling in hypoxic pulmonary hypertension through N1-methyladenosine modification of circCDK17显示文摘Pulmonary hypertension(PH)is an extremely malignant pulmonary vascular disease of unknown etiology.ADAR1 is an RNA editing enzyme that converts adenosine in RNA to inosine,thereby affecting RNA expression.However,the role of ADAR1 in PH development remains unclear.In the present study,we investigated the biological role and molecular mechanism of ADAR1 in PH pulmonary vascular remodeling.Overexpression of ADAR1 aggravated PH progression and promoted the proliferation of pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells(PASMCs).Conversely,inhibition of ADAR1 produced opposite effects.High-throughput whole transcriptome sequencing showed that ADAR1 was an important regulator of circRNAs in PH.CircCDK17 level was significantly lowered in the serum of PH patients.The effects of ADAR1 on cell cycle progression and proliferation were mediated by circCDK17.ADAR1 affects the stability of circCDK17 by mediating A-to-I modification at the A5 and A293 sites of circCDK17 to prevent it from mlA modification.We demonstrate for the first time that ADAR1 contributes to the PH development,at least partially,through m1A modification of circCDK17 and the subsequent PASMCs proliferation.Our study provides a novel therapeutic strategy for treatment of PH and the evidence for circCDK17 as a potential novel marker for the diagnosis of this disease.Junting Zhang Yiying Li Jianchao Zhang Lu Liu Yuan Chen Xusheng Yang Xueyi Liao Muhua He Zihui Jia Jun Fan Jin-Song Bian Xiaowei Nie 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,12:0
17Enhancing performance of tin-based perovskite solar cells via fused-ring electron acceptor显示文摘The performance of tin-based perovskite solar cells has been substantially hampered by voltage loss caused by energy level mismatch,charge recombination,energetic disorder,and other issues.Here,a fused-ring electron acceptor based on indacenodithiophene(IDIC)was for the first time introduced as a transition layer between a tin-based perovskite layer and a C 60 electron transport layer,leading to better matched energy levels in the device.In addition,coordination interactions between IDIC and perovskite improved the latter's crystallinity.The introduction of IDIC raised the power conversion efficiency from 8.98%to 11.5%and improved the device's stability.The decomposition mechanism of tin-based perovskite was also revealed by detecting the optical properties of perovskite microdomains through innovative integration of confocal laser scanning microscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopy.Chengbo Wang Yiting Jiang Hanyu Xu Nanlong Zheng Guangsheng Bai Yanxin Zha Hao Qi Zuqiang Bian Xiaowei Zhan Zhiwei Liu 2023eScience2023,3,3:0
18Quantitative research method for tectonization intensity:a case study in Tahe-Lunnan oilfield of Xinjiang显示文摘The research on tectonization intensity plays an important role in the analyses of basin evolution and hydrocarbon accumulation. At present, methods in this field are almost qualitative, and the quantitative one is still rarely reported. In this study, a quantitative research method for tectonization intensity is proposed. The research result on Tahe-Lunnan oilfield shows that this method can not only quantitatively express the tectonization intensity, but also qualitatively reflect the macroscopic deform property and the evolution history of strata. Therefore, it is an effective method for analyzing the characteristics of tectonization. 19Heterogeneous geological conditions and differential enrichment of medium and high maturity continental shale oil in China显示文摘Based on the comparison of basic geological conditions and enrichment characteristics of shale oil plays, the heterogeneity of source and reservoir conditions and differential enrichment of medium-high maturity continental shale oil plays in China have been confirmed.(1) Compared with the homogeneous geological settings and wide distribution of marine shale oil strata in North America, the continental medium and high maturity shale oil plays in China are significantly different in geological conditions generally;continental multi-cyclic tectonic evolution forms multiple types of lake basins in multi-stages, providing sites for large-scale development of continental shale oil, and giving rise to large scale high-quality source rocks, multiple types of reservoirs, and diverse source-reservoir combinations with significant heterogeneity.(2) The differences in sedimentary water environments lead to the heterogeneity in lithology, lithofacies, and organic material types of source rocks;the differences in material source supply and sedimentary facies belt result in reservoirs of different lithologies, including argillaceous and transition rocks, and tight siltstone, and complex source-reservoir combination types.(3) The heterogeneity of the source rock controls the differentiation of hydrocarbon generation and expulsion, the diverse reservoir types make reservoir performance different and the source-reservoir configurations complex, and these two factors ultimately make the shale oil enrichment patterns different. Among them, the hydrocarbon generation and expulsion capacity of high-quality source rocks affect the degree of shale oil enrichment. Freshwater hydrocarbon source rocks with TOC larger than 2.5% and saline hydrocarbon source rocks with TOC of 2% to 10% have a high content of retained hydrocarbons and are favorable.(4) High-abundance organic shale is the basis for the enrichment of shale oil inside the source.
