1The Relationship between Glucose Excursion and Cognitive Function in Aged Type 2 Diabetes Patients显示文摘Objective Evidence suggests that type 2 diabetes (T2DM) is associated with an increased risk of dementia and that glucose variability is an independent risk factor for diabetic complications.This study investigated the relationship between glucose excursion and cognitive function in aged T2DM patients.Methods A total of 248 aged T2DM patients wore a continuous glucose monitoring system (CGMS) for 3 days in order to evaluate glucose excursion,including mean amplitude of glycemic excursions (MAGE) and mean of daily difference (MODD).All subjects were evaluated with a number of accepted cognitive function tests,including themini‐mental status examination (MMSE).The relationship between MAGE and MODD and performance on these cognitive tests was assessed.Results The MAGE and MMSE score were negatively correlated,likewise with the correlation between MODD and MMSE.Liner multivariate regression analysis showed that MAGE and MODD were also negatively related to MMSE independent of age,sex,glycemic control,hypertension,smoking,or coronary heart disease history.Conclusion Glucose excursion is related to cognitive function in aged T2DM patients.Elevated glucose excursion decreased the MMSE score,which reflects general cognitive function.Thus,therapy aimed at controlling glucose excursion may be beneficial for maintaining cognitive function in aged T2DM patients.ZHONG Yuan ZHANG Xiao Yan MIAO Ya ZHU Jie Hua YAN Hong WANG Bei Yun JIN Jun HU Ting Jun JIA Wei Ping 2012Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2012,25,1:34

4Entecavir add-on Peg-interferon therapy plays a positive role in reversing hepatic fibrosis in treatment-naive chronic hepatitis B patients: a prospective and randomized controlled trial显示文摘Background:The efficacy of entecavir(ETV)add-on peg-interferon therapy compared with ETV monotherapy in treatment-naive hepatitis B virus(HBV)patients remains controversial.We investigated whether adding peg-interferon to ongoing ETV treatment leads to a better curative effect or not.Methods:All patients have been recruited between August 2013 and January 2015 from the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center and Zhongshan Hospital(China).Eligible HBV patients(n=144)were randomly divided(1:1)to receive either ETV monotherapy(n=70)or peg-interferon add-on therapy from week 26 to 52(«=74).Patients were followed-up for at least 2 years.Indexes including hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg)and hepatitis B e antigen(HBeAg)seroconversion rate,sustained virologic response,transient elastography value,and histological scores were evaluated every 3 months until the end of the study.The rate of patients with HBsAg loss was defined as the primary endpoint criteria.Results:At week 26,no patient achieved HBsAg seroconversion in either group.At week 52,one patient in the monotherapy group was HBsAg-negative but there was none in the combination therapy group.The monotherapy group showed significantly better liver function recovery results than the combination therapy group.At week 78,one patient in the combination group had HBsAg seroconverted.At week 104,only three patients in the combination therapy group were HBsAg-negative compared with one patient in monotherapy.The mean alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase levels and transient elastography values decreased significantly compared with baseline.Both groups showed a favorable decrease in alpha-fetoprotein(monotherapy:4.5[2.8,7.1]vs.2.2[1.8,3.1]ng/mL,P<0.001;combination therapy:5.7[3.0,18.8]vs.3.2[2.0,4.3]ng/mL,P<0.001)and an improved result of liver biopsy examination scores.The combination group showed a better improvement in histology compared with the monotherapy group(mean transient elastography value 6.6[4.9,9.8]vs.7.8[5.4,11.1]kPa,P=0.028).But there was no significant difference in HBsAg conversion rate(1.8%[1/56]i^s.4.1%[3/73],P=0.809)and HBeAg conversion rate(12.5%[7/56]i/s.11.0%[8/73],P=0.787),as well as HBV-DNA,sustained virologic response(93.2%vs.98.5%,P=0.150)between the two groups.Conclusions:Both therapies supported liver function recovery and histology improvement.Combination therapy did not show better anti-viral efficacy in HBsAg or HBeAg seroconversion compared with monotherapy.However,combination therapy played a more positive role in reversing hepatic fibrosis compared with monotherapy.Trial registration:ClinicalTrials.gov:NCT02849132;https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02849132.Jing-Mao Yang Li-Ping Chen Ya-Jie Wang Bei Lyu Hong Zhao Zhi-Yin Shang Jun Li Zhen-Yu Fan Sheng-Di Wu Xiao Ming Xian Li Shao-Ping Huang Ji-Lin Cheng 2020Chinese Medical Journal2020,,14:11

8Characterization of aroma compounds of Pu-erh ripen tea using solvent assisted flavor evaporation coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and gas chromatography-olfactometry显示文摘Pu-erh ripen tea becomes popular worldwide owing to its unique taste and aroma.In the present study,volatile compounds from Pu-erh ripen tea were extracted using a solvent assisted flavor evaporation(SAFE)and analyzed with a gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)and a gas chromatography olfactometry(GC-O).Results demonstrated that 58 major volatile compounds and 24 aroma active substances of Pu-erh ripen tea were identified by GC-MS and GC-O analysis.Among volatile compounds identified,methoxyphenyl compounds were considered as the dominate compounds in the aroma of Pu-erh ripen tea.Further investigation showed that 6 methoxybenzenes were responsible for the aging aroma in Pu-erh ripen tea;α-ionone,3,4-dimethoxytoluene,1,3-dimethoxybenzene,etc.were responsible for the wood-like aroma.Linalool,α-terpineol,α-ionone,β-ionone,and benzeneacetaldehyde were responsible for the floral odor.Compared the odor detection threshold(ODT)among the 8 methoxyphenyl compounds in water,1,2,3-trimethoxybenzene showed the highest ODT,followed by 3,4-dimethoxyphenol.1,3-dimethoxybenzene(105μg/L)and 1,2,3-trimethoxy-5-methylbenzene(100μg/L)were present at relatively low odor threshold values.The result indicated that methoxyphenyl compounds play a vital role in the unique flavor of Pu-erh ripen tea.Bei Wang Qing Meng Lin Xiao Ruili Li Chunhai Peng Xueli Liao Jingna Yan Honglin Liu Guanhua Xie Chi-Tang Ho Huarong Tong 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,3:6

10High-performance asymmetric electrodes photodiode based on Sb/WSe2 heterostructure显示文摘Two-dimensional (2D) van der Waals (vdWs) metal-semiconductor heterostructures with atomically sharp interface and matched work functions have recently attracted great attention due to their unique electronic and optoelectronic properties. Here we report the vapor phase epitaxial growth of large-scale vertical Sb/WSe2 metal-semiconductor vdWs heterostructures with uniform stacking orientation. Compared with the growth on S1O2/S1 substrate, the thick ness of Sb nan osheet on WSe2 can be reduced effectively to mono layer. We con struct Sb-WSe2-Au asymmetric electrodes photodiode based on the Sb/WSe2 heterostructures. Electrical transport measurements indicate that the photodiode show obvious rectifying effect. Optoelectronic characterizations show prominent photoresponse with a high photoresposivity of 364 mA/W, a fast response time of less than 8 ms, a large open-circuit voltage of 0.27 V and a maximum electrical power output of 0.11 nW. 11Glacier extent changes and possible causes in the Hala Lake Basin of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘Glacier is a common sensitivity indicator of environmental and global climate change.Examining the relationship between glacier area and climate change will help reveal glacier change mechanisms and future trends.Glacier changes are also of great significance to the regulation of regional water resources.This study selected the Hala Lake Basin in the northeastern Qinhai-Tibet Plateau as a study area,and examined the relationships between the temporal and spatial change of glaciers in the northeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and climate change based on remote sensing imagery,climatological data,and topographic data during the past 30 years.Results showed that glacier area in the Hala Lake basin fluctuated and decreased from106.24 km2 in 1986 to 78.84 km2 in 2015,with a decreasing rate of 0.94 km2·yr-1.The number of glacier patches,mean patch area,and largest patch index all decreased from 1986 to 2015,while the splitting index increased from 1986 to 2015,indicating that the landscape fragmentation of glacier in the Hala Lake Basin was increasing significantly during the study period.Glacier area change was mainly concentrated in the slopes>25°with an altitude of 4500-5000 m,and the retreating rate of glacier of sunny slope was obviously higher than that of shady slope.Geometric center of glacier in the basin moved from southwest to northeast towards high altitude.Results of the response of glacier extent to climate change showed that temperature was the dominant factor affecting glacier area dynamic change in the Hala Lake Basin.It is predicted that in future several years,the glacier area will decrease and fragment continually as a result of global warming on the Tibetan Plateau.LI Dong-Sheng CUI Bu-Li WANG Ying XIAO Bei JIANG Bao-Fu 2019Journal of Mountain Science2019,16,7:5

13Bioremediation of Hexavalent Chromium Pollution by Sporosarcina saromensis M52 Isolated from Offshore Sediments in Xiamen, China显示文摘Objective Cr(VI)removal from industrial effluents and sediments has attracted the attention of environmental researchers.In the present study,we aimed to isolate bacteria for Cr(VI)bioremediation from sediment samples and to optimize parameters of biodegradation.Methods Strains with the ability to tolerate Cr(VI)were obtained by serial dilution and spread plate methods and characterized by morphology,16S r DNA identification,and phylogenetic analysis.Cr(VI)was determined using the 1,5-diphenylcarbazide method,and the optimum p H and temperature for degradation were studied using a multiple-factor mixed experimental design.Statistical analysis methods were used to analyze the results.Results Fifty-five strains were obtained,and one strain(Sporosarcina saromensis M52;patent application number:201410819443.3)having the ability to tolerate 500 mg Cr(VI)/L was selected to optimize the degradation conditions.M52 was found be able to efficiently remove 50-200 mg Cr(VI)/L in24 h,achieving the highest removal efficiency at p H 7.0-8.5 and 35°C.Moreover,M52 could completely degrade 100 mg Cr(VI)/L at p H 8.0 and 35°C in 24 h.The mechanism involved in the reduction of Cr(VI)was considered to be bioreduction rather than absorption.Conclusion The strong degradation ability of S.saromensis M52 and its advantageous functional characteristics support the potential use of this organism for bioremediation of heavy metal pollution.ZHAO Ran WANG Bi CAI Qing Tao LI Xiao Xia LIU Min HU Dong GUO Dong Bei WANG Juan FAN Chun 2016Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2016,29,2:4
14脑卒中住院患者口腔健康相关生活质量现状及影响因素分析显示文摘目的了解脑卒中住院患者口腔健康相关生活质量现状及影响因素。方法采用便利抽样法,于2019年8-12月在贵州省5所三级甲等综合医院选取符合纳入标准的脑卒中住院患者作为研究对象。采用一般资料调查表、口腔健康影响程度量表(OHIP-14)、口腔健康评估工具(OHAT)对403例脑卒中住院患者进行调查,以探索其口腔健康相关生活质量的影响因素。结果共发放问卷425份,回收有效问卷403份,有效回收率94.8%。脑卒中住院患者口腔健康相关生活质量得分为(10.32±6.32)分;多元线性回归分析显示,年龄、家庭人均月收入与口腔健康是脑卒中住院患者口腔健康相关生活质量的主要影响因素(P<0.05)。结论脑卒中住院患者口腔健康相关生活质量需引起重视,医护人员应重点关注年龄较大、家庭人均月收入较低以及口腔健康状况较差的脑卒中住院患者,并结合脑卒中患者的具体情况提供个性化的干预措施,从而提升脑卒中住院患者的口腔健康相关生活质量。田芳 李娟 刘纪汝 Bei Wu Rong Xiao 2021护士进修杂志2021,36,7:4
