| 1 | Privacy Computing: Concept, Computing Framework, and Future Development Trends显示文摘With the rapid development of information technology and the continuous evolution of personalized ser- vices, huge amounts of data are accumulated by large internet companies in the process of serving users. Moreover, dynamic data interactions increase the intentional/unintentional persistence of private infor- mation in different information systems. However, problems such as the cask principle of preserving pri- vate information among different information systems and the dif culty of tracing the source of privacy violations are becoming increasingly serious. Therefore, existing privacy-preserving schemes cannot pro- vide systematic privacy preservation. In this paper, we examine the links of the information life-cycle, such as information collection, storage, processing, distribution, and destruction. We then propose a the- ory of privacy computing and a key technology system that includes a privacy computing framework, a formal de nition of privacy computing, four principles that should be followed in privacy computing, ffect algorithm design criteria, evaluation of the privacy-preserving effect, and a privacy computing language. Finally, we employ four application scenarios to describe the universal application of privacy computing, and discuss the prospect of future research trends. | 2 | Simultaneous determination of three classes of antibiotics in the suspended solids of swine wastewater by ultrasonic extraction,solid-phase extraction and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry显示文摘This work describes a systematic approach to the development of a method for simultaneous determination of three classes of veterinary antibiotics in the suspended solids (SS) of swine wastewater,including five sulfonamides,three tetracyclines and one macrolide (tiamulin).The entire procedures for sample pretreatment,ultrasonic extraction (USE),solid-phase extraction (SPE),and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) quantification were examined and optimized.The recovery efficiencies were found to be 76%-104% for sulfonamides,81%-112% for tetracyclines,and 51%-64% for tiamulin at three spiking levels.The intra-day and inter-day precisions,as expressed by the relative standard deviation (RSD),were below 17%.The method detection limits (MDLs) were between 0.14 and 7.14 μg/kg,depending on a specific antibiotic studied.The developed method was applied to field samples collected from three concentrated swine feeding plants located in Beijing,Shanghai and Shandong province of China.All the investigated antibiotics were detected in both SS and liquid phase of swine wastewater,with partition coefficients (logK d) ranging from 0.49 to 2.30.This study demonstrates that the SS can not be ignored when determining the concentrations of antibiotics in swine wastewater. | Xun Pan Zhimin Qiang Weiwei Ben Meixue Chen | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,10: | 16 |
| 3 | Extracellular vesicles from human urine-derived stem cells prevent osteoporosis by transferring CTHRC1 and OPG显示文摘Osteoporosis is a debilitating bone disease affecting millions of people. Here, we used human urine-derived stem cells(USCs),which were noninvasively harvested from unlimited and easily available urine, as a 'factory' to obtain extracellular vesicles(USCEVs) and demonstrated that the systemic injection of USC-EVs effectively alleviates bone loss and maintains bone strength in osteoporotic mice by enhancing osteoblastic bone formation and suppressing osteoclastic bone resorption. More importantly, the anti-osteoporotic properties of USC-EVs are not notably disrupted by the age, gender, or health condition(with or without osteoporosis) of the USC donor. Mechanistic studies determined that collagen triple-helix repeat containing 1(CTHRC1) and osteoprotegerin(OPG) proteins are enriched in USC-EVs and required for USC-EV-induced pro-osteogenic and anti-osteoclastic effects. | 5 | 2018 update of expert consensus statement on antiplatelet therapy in East Asian patients with ACS or undergoing PCI显示文摘East Asians are the most populous race in the world and their health status is an important global issue.Compared with Caucasian populations, East Asian patients have a different benefit/risk ratio when using antithrombotic treatment. Despite this observation, treatment strategies in East Asian patients are mostly based on the American and European guidelines. Despite a lower platelet inhibitory response to clopidogrel, East Asian patients show a similar or even a lower rate of ischemic event occurrence and higher bleeding risk compared with Caucasian patients. For potent P2Y_(12) inhibitors(ticagrelor and prasugrel),East Asian patients have shown less favorable net clinical benefits compared with Caucasian patients,which may be related to differences in pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic profiles and therapeutic zone of antiplatelet effect. This updated consensus mainly focuses on state-of-the-art and current controversies in the East Asian population. | 6 | A general theoretical principle for single-phase convection heat transfer enhancement显示文摘The main methods of single-phase convection heat transfer enhancement are analyzed in this paper, and the unity of contradiction between heat transfer enhancement and energy consumption(or exergy destruction)is expounded.The thermodynamic relationship between heat(or exergy)transfer efficiency and energy consumption(or exergy destruction)as well as driving forces is established,and a general theoretical principle for single-phase convection heat transfer enhancement is further obtained. | 8 | Particulate matter(PM(2.5)) exposure season-dependently induces neuronal apoptosis and synaptic injuries显示文摘Epidemiological studies have shown that particulate matter 2.5(PM_(2.5)) not only increases the incidence of cardiopulmonary illnesses but also relates to the development of neurodegenerative diseases. Considering that PM_(2.5)is highly heterogeneous with regional disparity and seasonal variation, we investigated whether PM_(2.5)exposure induced neuronal apoptosis and synaptic injuries in a season-dependent manner. The results indicated that PM_(2.5)altered the expression of apoptosis-related proteins(mainly bax and bcl-2), activated caspase-3 and caused neuronal apoptosis. Additionally, PM_(2.5)decreased the levels of synaptic structural protein postsynaptic density(PSD-95) and synaptic functional protein N-methyl-D-aspartate(NMDA) receptor subunit(NR2B) expression. These effects occurred in a season-dependent manner, and PM_(2.5)collected from the winter showed the strongest changes. Furthermore, the effect was coupled with the inhibition of phosphorylated extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2(p-ERK1/2) and phosphorylated c AMP-response element binding protein(p-CREB). | 10 | Development of a vision-based ground target detection and tracking system for a small unmanned helicopter显示文摘It is undoubted that the latest trend in the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) community is towards visionbased unmanned small-scale helicopter, utilizing the maneuvering capabilities of the helicopter and the rich information of visual sensors, in order to arrive at a versatile platform for a variety of applications such as navigation, surveillance, tracking, etc. In this paper, we present the development of a vision- based ground target detection and tracking system for a small UAV helicopter. More specifically, we propose a real-time vision algorithm, based on moment invariants and two-stage pattern recognition, to achieve automatic ground target detection. In the proposed algorithm, the key geometry features of the target are extracted to detect and identify the target. Simultaneously, a Kalman filter is used to estimate and predict the position of the target, referred to as dynamic features, based on its motion model. These dynamic features are then combined with geometry features to identify the target in the second-stage of pattern recognition, when geometry features of the target change significantly due to noise and disturbance in the environment. Once the target is identified, an automatic control scheme is utilized to control the pan/tilt visual mechanism mounted on the helicopter such that the identified target is to be tracked at the center of the captured images. | 11 | Low level of galacto-oligosaccharide in infant formula stimulates growth of intestinal Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli显示文摘AIM: To investigate the effect of a new infant formula supplemented with a low level (0.24 g/100 mL) of galacto-oligosaccharide (GOS) on intestinal micro-flora (Bif idobacteria, Lactobacilli and E. coli) and fermentation characteristics in term infants, compared with human milk and a standard infant formula without GOS. METHODS: Term infants (n = 371) were approached in this study in three hospitals of China. All infants started breast-feeding. Those who changed to formula-feeding within 4 wk after birth were randomly assigned to one of the two formula groups. Growth and stool characteristics, and side effects that occurred in recruited infants were recorded in a 3-mo follow-up period. Fecal samples were collected from a subpopulation of recruited infants for analysis of intestinal bacteria (culture technique), acetic acid (gas chromatography) and pH (indicator strip). RESULTS: After 3 mo, the intestinal Bifidobacteria, Lactobacilli , acetic acid and stool frequency were significantly increased, and fecal pH was decreased in infants fed with the GOS-formula or human milk, compared with those fed with the formula withoutGOS. No significant differences were observed between the GOS formula and human milk groups. Supplementation with GOS did not influence the incidence of crying, regurgitation and vomiting. | 14 | An Overview of Mineral Dust Modeling over East Asia显示文摘East Asian dust(EAD) exerts considerable impacts on the energy balance and climate/climate change of the earth system through its influence on solar and terrestrial radiation, cloud properties, and precipitation efficiency. Providing an accurate description of the life cycle and climate effects of EAD is therefore critical to better understanding of climate change and socioeconomic development in East Asia and even worldwide. Dust modeling has undergone substantial development since the late 1990 s, associated with improved understanding of the role of EAD in the earth system. Here, we review the achievements and progress made in recent decades in terms of dust modeling research,including dust emissions, long-range transport, radiative forcing(RF), and climate effects of dust particles over East Asia. Numerous efforts in dust/EAD modeling have been directed towards furnishing more sophisticated physical and chemical processes into the models on higher spatial resolutions. Meanwhile, more systematic observations and more advanced retrieval methods for instruments that address EAD related science issues have made it possible to evaluate model results and quantify the role of EAD in the earth system, and to further reduce the uncertainties in EAD simulations. Though much progress has been made, large discrepancies and knowledge gaps still exist among EAD simulations. The design and synthesis of AIE-active hyperbranched polymers, which combine the advantages of these two types of materials, are attractive but challenging. In this work, four hyperbranched poly(tetrahydropyrimidine)s were synthesized from the metal-free room temperature multicomponent tandem polymerization of diester group-activated internal alkyne,polyfunctional aromatic amines, and formaldehyde in methanol under the catalysis of acetic acid. Through different monomer combination and controlling the monomer loading order, hyperbranched polymers with various topological structures as well as sequences of different functional groups in the polymer backbone were obtained with high molecular weights(up to 3.0 × 10~4 g/mol) in high yields(up to 98%). The hyperbranched poly(tetrahydropyrimidine) emitted faintly in solution, while its luminescence was notably enhanced in the aggregated state, suggesting its typical aggregation-induced emission property. | 20 | Unsteady Flow Variability Driven by Rotor-stator Interaction at Rotor Exit显示文摘Numerical investigation of the unsteady flow variability driven by rotorstator interaction in a transonic axial compressor is performed. Two models with close and far axial gap between rotor and stator rows are studied in the simulation. Particular attention is attached to the analysis of mechanisms involved in driving rotor wake oscillation, rotor wake skewing and flow angle fluctuation at rotor exit. The results show that smaller axial gap is favorable to enhance the interaction in the region between two adjacent rows, and the fluctuation of the static pressure difference between two sides of rotor wake is improved by potential field from down stator, which is the driving force for rotor wake oscillation.
