Cognitive Frequency Hopping Sequences显示文摘Since the immutable conventional Frequency hopping(FH) sequence cannot keep high FH communication reliability in complex electromagnetic environment, we propose an algorithm that can generate high-performance Cognitive frequency hopping sequence(CFHS) for Cognitive frequency hopping(CFH) system.By employing the pseudo-random perturbation mapping, the CFHS is generated by remapping the block cipher FH sequence with the adaptive frequency slot number and frequency gap. The CFHS inherits the great integrated performance and its parameters could change with the electromagnetic environment. The statistics properties of Markov and uniformity are analyzed based on the Markov process theory and probability theory. Simulation results show that CFHS outperforms the widely-used FH sequences on the performance of uniformity, randomness, Hamming correlation, complexity and sensitivity. The proposed CFHS could be extensively applied in high reliable CFH system. | GUAN Lei LI Zan HAO Benjian SI Jiangbo NING Ben | 2016 | Chinese Journal of Electronics2016,25,1: | 3

Lab-in-cell based on spontaneous amino-yne click polymerization显示文摘Unnatural reaction in the living cells is a powerful tool for biological research. However, the polymerization inside cells is rarely reported. In this work, a lab-in-cell is illustrated based on our developed spontaneous amino-yne click polymerization. Carbonyl group activated terminal diyne can spontaneously polymerize with tetraphenylethene(TPE)-containing primary diamine inside cells, and polymer with weight-average molecular weight of 7,300 was yielded. By utilizing this in vivo amino-yne click polymerization and taking advantage of the aggregation-induced emission feature of TPE, a 'turn-on' cell imaging was realized, and in-situ killing of cells was also acquired by destroying the structures of actin and tubulin, which cannot be realized by preprepared polymer. This strategy provides a useful platform and holds great promise in biochemistry and therapy applications. | Rong Hu Xu Chen Taotao Zhou Han Si Benzhao He Ryan T. K. | 11 | Ultralong organic room-temperature phosphorescence of electrondonating and commercially available host and guest molecules through efficient Förster resonance energy transfer显示文摘Ultralong organic room-temperature phosphorescence(RTP)materials have attracted tremendous attention recently due to their diverse applications.Several ultralong organic RTP materials mimicking the host-guest architecture of inorganic systems have been exploited successfully. However, complicated synthesis and high expenditure are still inevitable in these studies.Herein,we develop a series of novel host-guest organic phosphorescence systems,in which all luminophores are electron-rich,commercially available and halogen-atom-free.The maximum phosphorescence efficiency and the longest lifetime could reach 23.6%and 362 ms,respectively.Experimental results and theoretical calculation indicate that the host molecules not only play a vital role in providing a rigid environment to suppress non-radiative decay of the guest, but also show a synergistic effect to the guest through Förster resonance energy transfer(FRET).The commercial availability, facile preparation and unique properties also make these new host-guest materials an excellent candidate for the anti-counterfeiting application. This work will inspire researchers to develop new RTP systems with different wavelengths from commercially available luminophores. | Yeling Ning Junfang Yang Han Si Haozhong Wu Xiaoyan Zheng Anjun Qin Ben Zhong Tang | 2021 | Science China Chemistry2021,64,5: | 1

Differences in olfactory functional connectivity in early-onset depression and late-onset depression显示文摘Background:Late-onset depression(LOD)and early-onset depression(EOD)exhibit different pathological mechanisms and clinical phenotypes, including different extents of olfactory dysfunction. However, the brain abnormalities underlying the differences in ol-factory dysfunction between EOD and LOD remain unclear. Objective:The aim of this study was to compare the functional connectivity(FC)patterns of olfactory regions between EOD patients and LOD patients and examine their relationship with cognitive function. Methods:One hundred and five patients with EOD,101 patients with LOD and 160 normal controls(NCs)were recruited for the present study.Participants underwent clinical assessment, olfactory testing, cognitive assessments, and magnetic resonance imaging.Eight regions of the primary and secondary olfactory regions were selected to investigate olfactory FC.Results:Patients with LOD exhibited decreased odor identification(OI)compared with patients with EOD and NCs.The LOD group exhibited decreased FC compared with the EOD and NC groups when primary and secondary olfactory regions were selected as the regions of interest(the piriform cortex, lateral entorhinal cortex, and orbital-frontal cortex).Additionally, these abnormal olfactory FCs were associated with decreased cognitive function scores and OI,and the FC between the left orbital-frontal cortex and left amygdala was a partial mediator of the relationship between global cognitive scores and OI.Conclusion:Overall, patients with LOD exhibited decreased FC in both the primary and secondary olfactory cortices compared with patients with EOD,and abnormal olfactory FC was associated with OI dysfunction and cognitive impairment. The FC between the orbital-frontal cortex and amygdala mediated the relationship between global cognitive function and OI. | Ben Chen Mingfeng Yang Meiling Liu Qiang Wang Huarong Zhou Min Zhang Le Hou Zhangying Wu Si Zhang Gaohong Lin Xiaomei Zhong Yuping Ning | 2023 | Psychoradiology2023,3,1: | 0
Genetic Mutation of SARS-CoV-2 during Consecutive Passages in Permissive Cells显示文摘Dear Editor,The ongoing COVID-19 disease, caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-Co V-2),has led to over 112 million confirmed cases and 2.4 million deaths in more than 220 countries as of 25 February 2021(WHO 2021).Hospital-admitted patients show clinical features including fever, dry cough, fatigue, dyspnea, lymphopenia, and pneumonia with radiological groundglass lung opacities(Huang et al.2020;Guan et al.2020).SARS-Co V-2 was quickly isolated and could be detected in clinical samples, such as nasopharyngeal swabs, sputum, alveolar lavage fluid, and feces,as well as occasionally in seminal fluid and tears among other sources(Bhat et al.2020;Li et al.2020),which means that it can infect a variety of human tissues and organs. | Ying Chen Mei-Qin Liu Yun Luo Ren-Di Jiang Hao-Rui Si Yan Zhu Bei Li Xu-Rui Shen Hao-Feng Lin Kai Zhao Ben Hu Zheng-Li Shi Xing-Lou Yang | 2021 | Virologica Sinica2021,36,5: | 0
Single-cell transcriptomic profiling of the hypothalamic median eminence during aging显示文摘Aging is a slow and progressive natural process that compromises the normal functions of cells, tissues, organs, and systems. The aging of the hypothalamic median eminence(ME),a structural gate linking neural and endocrine systems, may impair hormone release, energy homeostasis, and central sensing of circulating molecules, leading to systemic and reproductive aging. However, the molecular and cellular features of ME aging remain largely unknown. Here,we describe the transcriptional landscape of young and middleaged mouse ME at single-cell resolution, revealing the common and cell type-specific transcriptional changes with age.The transcriptional changes in cell-intrinsic programs,cell-cell crosstalk, and cellextrinsic factors highlight five molecular features of ME aging and also implicate several potentially druggable targets at cellular, signaling, and molecular levels.Importantly, our results suggest that vascular and leptomeningeal cells may lead the asynchronized aging process among diverse cell types and drive local inflammation and cellular senescence via a unique secretome.Together, our study uncovers how intrinsic and extrinsic features of each cell type in the hypothalamic ME are changed by the aging process, which will facilitate our understanding of brain aging and provide clues for efficient anti-aging intervention at the middle-aged stage. | Zhen-Hua Chen Si Li Mingrui Xu Candace CLiu Hongying Ye Ben Wang Qing-Feng Wu | 2022 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,6: | 0
Aggregation-induced barrier to oxygen——a new AIE mechanism for metal clusters with phosphorescence显示文摘Metal clusters are useful phosphors, but highly luminescent examples are quite rare.Usually, the phosphorescence of metal clusters is hindered by ambient O_(2) molecules.Transforming this disadvantage into an advantage for meaningful applications of metal clusters presents a formidable challenge. In this work,we used ligand engineering to judiciously prepare colour-tuneable and brightly emitting Cu(I)clusters that are ultrasensitive to O_(2) upon dispersion in a fluid solution or in a solid matrix. When the O_(2) scavenger dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO)was used as the solvent, joint photo-and oxygen-controlled multicolour switches were achieved for the first time for metal cluster-based photopatterning and photo-anticounterfeiting.More importantly,an aggregation-induced barrier to oxygen,a new aggregation-induced emission mechanism for metal clusters, was proposed, providing a new pathway to realizing the intense emission of metal clusters in the aggregated state. These results are expected to promote the application of metal clusters and enrich the luminescence theory of metal cluster aggregates. | Yan Jin Qiu-Chen Peng Si Li Hui-Fang Su Peng Luo Ming Yang Xin Zhang Kai Li Shuang-Quan Zang Ben Zhong Tang Thomas C.W.Mak | 2022 | National Science Review2022,9,8: | 0
Species-level Microbiota of Biting Midges and Ticks from Poyang Lake显示文摘Objective The purpose of this study was to investigate the bacterial communities of biting midges and ticks collected from three sites in the Poyang Lake area, namely,Qunlu Practice Base,Peach Blossom Garden, and Huangtong Animal Husbandry, and whether vectors carry any bacterial pathogens that may cause diseases to humans,to provide scientific basis for prospective pathogen discovery and disease prevention and control. Methods Using a metataxonomics approach in concert with full-length 16S rRNA gene sequencing and operational phylogenetic unit(OPU)analysis,we characterized the species-level microbial community structure of two important vector species, biting midges and ticks, including 33 arthropod samples comprising 3,885 individuals, collected around Poyang Lake. Results A total of 662 OPUs were classified in biting midges, including 195 known species and 373 potentially new species, and 618 OPUs were classified in ticks, including 217 known species and 326 potentially new species.Surprisingly,OPUs with potentially pathogenicity were detected in both arthropod vectors, with 66 known species of biting midges reported to carry potential pathogens, including Asaia lannensis and Rickettsia bellii, compared to 50 in ticks, such as Acinetobacter lwoffii and Staphylococcus sciuri. We found that Proteobacteria was the most dominant group in both midges and ticks.Furthermore, the outcomes demonstrated that the microbiota of midges and ticks tend to be governed by a few highly abundant bacteria.Pantoea sp7 was predominant in biting midges, while Coxiella sp1 was enriched in ticks.Meanwhile,Coxiella spp.,which may be essential for the survival of Haemaphysalis longicornis Neumann, were detected in all tick samples. The identification of dominant species and pathogens of biting midges and ticks in this study serves to broaden our knowledge associated to microbes of arthropod vectors. Conclusion Biting midges and ticks carry large numbers of known and potentially novel bacteria, and carry a wide range of potentially pathogenic bacteria, which may pose a risk of infection to humans and animals. The microbial communities of midges and ticks tend to be dominated by a few highly abundant bacteria. | GONG Jian WANG Fei Fei LIU Yang Qing PU Ji DONG Ling Zhi ZHANG Si Hui HUANG Zhen Zhou HUANG Yu Yuan LI Ya Ben YANG Cai Xin TAO Yuan Meihui ZHAO Li Jun JIN Dong LIU Li Yun YANG Jing LU Shan | 2024 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2024,37,3: | 0
