| 2 | Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) numerical simulations on the interaction of the solar wind with the magnetosphere: A review显示文摘The magnetosphere is the outermost layer of the geospace, and the interaction of the solar wind with the magnetosphere is the key element of the space weather cause-and-effect chain process from the Sun to Earth, which is one of the most challenging scientific problems in the geospace weather study. The nonlinearity, multiple component, and time-dependent nature of the geospace make it very difficult to describe the physical process in geospace using traditional analytic analysis approach. Numerical simulations, a new research tool developed in recent decades, have a deep impact on the theory and application of the geospace. MHD simulations started at the end of the 1970s, and the initial study was limited to two-dimensional (2D) cases. Due to the intrinsic three-dimensional (3D) characteristics of the geospace, 3D MHD simulations emerged in the 1980s, in an attempt to model the large-scale structures and fundamental physical processes in the magnetosphere. They started to combine with the space exploration missions in the 1990s and make comparisons with observations. Physics-based space weather forecast models started to be developed in the 21st century. Currently only a few space-power countries such as USA and Japan have developed 3D magnetospheric MHD models. With the rapid advance of space science in China, we have developed a new global MHD model, namely PPMLR-MHD, which has high order spatial accuracy and low numerical dissipation. | 3 | Different Expression Analysis in Fruit Softening and Ethylene Biosynthetic Pathways in Peaches of Different Flesh Textures显示文摘The aim of our study was to assess differences in the expression of genes involved in fruit softening and ethylene biosynthetic pathways under different temperature storage conditions. Different peach cultivars of ‘Xiacui' and ‘Yumyeong', which are stonyhard, ‘Yinhualu', which is softmelting, ‘Hujing Milu', which is hard-melting, and ‘Baby Gold 6', which is non-melting at 80% ripening, were collected as test materials. The results showed that only slight ethylene production was detected after harvesting of ‘Yumyeong' and ‘Xiacui' under either a room temperature(25 °C) or low temperature(4 °C). The fruit firmness of stonyhard cultivars was retained at a high level under room temperature over time, whereas a low temperature induced ‘Yumyeong' fruit to soften. Quantitative real-time PCR results indicated that the PpACS1 gene was highly expressed in soft-melting, hard-melting and non-melting cultivars; however, expression was extremely low in stonyhard peaches. PpACS2 or PpACS3, however,was not detected in all five cultivars. Interestingly, cold treatment significantly decreased firmness along with endo-PG expression obviously upregulated in ‘Yumyeong', but not in ‘Xiacui' peaches. | 4 | Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). | 6 | The corrosion behavior of Ti-6Al-3Nb-2Zr-1Mo alloy:Effects of HCl concentration and temperature显示文摘Investigation about the corrosion behavior of Ti alloys in different ambient environment is of great significance for their practical application.Herein,we systematically investigate the corrosion behavior of a newfound Ti-6 Al-3 Nb-2 Zr-1 Mo(Ti80)alloy in hydrochloric acid(HCl)ranging from 1.37 to 7 M,and temperature ranging from 25 to 55℃,by means of electrochemical measurements,static immersion tests and surface analysis.Results manifest that increasing either HCl concentration or temperature can accelerate the corrosion of Ti80 alloy via promoting the breakdown of native protective oxide film and then further facilitating the active dissolution of Ti80 matrix.According to potentiodynamic polarization curves,Ti80 alloy displays a spontaneous passive behavior in 1.37 M HCl at 25℃,compared to a typical active-passive behavior under the other conditions.As indicated by cathodic Tafel slope,the rate determining step for cathodic hydrogen evolution reaction is likely the discharge reaction step.The apparent activation energies obtained from corrosion current density and maximum anodic current density for Ti80 alloy in 5 M HCl solution are 62.4 and 55.6 kJ mol-1,respectively,which signifies that the rate determining step in the corrosion process of Ti80 alloy is mainly determined by surface-chemical reaction rather than diffusion.Besides,the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy tests demonstrate that a stable and compact oxide film exists in 1.37 M HCl at 25℃,whereas a porous corrosion product film forms under the other conditions.Overall,the critical HCl concentration at which Ti80 alloy can maintain passivation at 25℃can be determined as a value between 1.37 and 3 M.Furthermore,the corroded surface morphology characterization reveals that equiaxedαphase is more susceptible to corrosion compared to intergranularβphase due to a lower content of Nb,Mo,and Zr in the former. | Baoxian Su Binbin Wang Liangshun Luo Liang Wang Yanqing Su Fuxin Wang Yanjin Xu Baoshuai Han Haiguang Huang Jingjie Guo Hengzhi Fu | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,15: | 5 |
| 7 | Annealed microstructure dependent corrosion behavior of Ti-6Al-3Nb-2Zr-1Mo alloy显示文摘Corrosion resistance of titanium(Ti)alloys is closely connected with their microstructure which can be adjusted and controlled via different annealing schemes.Herein,we systematically investigate the specific effects of annealing on the corrosion performance of Ti-6 Al-3 Nb-2 Zr-1 Mo(Ti80)alloy in 3.5 wt.%NaCl and 5 M HCl solutions,respectively,based on open circuit potential(OCP),potentiodynamic polarization,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS),static immersion tests and surface analysis.Results indicate that increasing annealing tempe rature endows Ti80 alloy with a higher volume fraction ofβphase and finerαphase,which in turn improves its corrosion resistance.Surface characterization demonstrates thatβphase is more resistant to corrosion thanαphase owing to a higher content of Nb,Mo,and Zr in the former;additionally,the decreased thickness of a phase alleviates segregation of elements to further restrain the micro-galvanic couple effects betweenαandβphases.Meanwhile,the influential mechanisms of environmental conditions on corrosion of Ti80 alloy are discussed in detail.As the formation of a highly compact and stable oxide film on surface,annealed Ti80 alloys exhibit a low corrosion current density(10^(-6)A/cm^(2))and high polarization impedance(10^(6)Ω·cm^(2))in 3.5 wt.%NaCl solution.However,they suffer severe corrosion in 5 M HCl solution,resulting from the breakdown of native oxide films(the conversion of TiO_(2)to aqueous Ti^(3+)),active dissolution of substrate Ti to aqueous Ti^(3+)and existence of micro-galvanic couple effects.Those findings could provide new insights to designing Ti alloys with high-corrosion resistance through microstructural optimization. | Baoxian Su Liangshun Luo Binbin Wang Yanqing Su Liang Wang Robert O.Ritchie Enyu Guo Ting Li Huimin Yang Haiguang Huang Jingjie Guo Hengzhi Fu | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,3: | 5 |
| 8 | Photostable and Biocompatible Fluorescent Silicon Nanoparticles for Imaging-Guided Co-Delivery of siRNA and Doxorubicin to Drug-Resistant Cancer Cells显示文摘The development of effective and safe vehicles to deliver small interfering RNA(siRNA) and chemotherapeutics remains a major challenge in RNA interference-based combination therapy with chemotherapeutics,which has emerged as a powerful platform to treat drug-resistant cancer cells.Herein,we describe the development of novel all-in-one fluorescent silicon nanoparticles(SiNPs)-based nanomedicine platform for imaging-guided co-delivery of siRNA and doxorubicin(DOX).This approach enhanced therapeutic efficacy in multidrug-resistant breast cancer cells(i.e.,MCF-7/ADR cells).Typically,the SiNP-based nanocarriers enhanced the stability of siRNA in a biological environment(i.e.,medium or RNase A) and imparted the responsive release behavior of siRNA,resulting in approximately 80% down-regulation of P-glycoprotein expression.Co-delivery of P-glycoprotein siRNA and DOX led to>35-fold decrease in the half maximal inhibitory concentration of DOX in comparison with free DOX,indicating the pronounced therapeutic efficiency of the resultant nanocomposites for drug-resistant breast cancer cells.The intracellular time-dependent release behaviors of siRNA and DOX were revealed through tracking the strong and stable fluorescence of SiNPs.These data provide valuable information for designing effective RNA interference-based co-delivery carriers. | Daoxia Guo Xiaoyuan Ji Fei Peng Yiling Zhong Binbin Chu Yuanyuan Su Yao He | 2019 | Nano-Micro Letters2019,11,2: | 5 |

| 11 | Twirling reinforcing-reducing manipulation--central mechanism underlying antihypertensive effect on spontaneous hypertension in rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate antihypertensive effect in rats in order to confirm that twirling reinforcing-reducing manipulation(TRRM) might be the central mechanism underlying the action.METHODS: In the study,^(18) F-2-fluoro-deoxy-D-glucose positron emission tomography(18 F-FDG-PET)was employed. Fifity-six spontaneous hypertensive rats(SHRs) were randomly divided into a model group, a single-needle acupuncture(SNA) group, a twirling reinforcing group(SNA + TRF) and a twirling reducing(SNA + TRD) group. Fourteen Wistar rats were assigned to the control group. The acupuncture intervention at Taichong(LR 3) acupoint was administered once daily in the SNA, SNA + TRF and SNA + TRD groups for 14 days, with 1 d interval between the two weeks. The blood pressure(BP) of all rats was measured repeatedly and18 F-FDG-PET scans were conducted on the 14 th day. PET images were processed with Statistical Parametric Mapping 8.0.RESULTS: After the intervention, systolic BP showed a significant decrease in the SNA, SNA+TRF and SNA + TRD versus the model groups(all P <0.01) and in the SNA + TRF and SNA + TRD versus the SNA groups(both P < 0.01), with the SNA+TRD group exhibited the best antihypertensive effect(P < 0.01). | 12 | Application of Singular Value Decomposition(SVD)to the Extraction of Gravity Anomalies Associated with Ag-Pb-Zn-W Polymetallic Mineralization in the Bozhushan Ore Field,Southwestern China显示文摘The Bozhushan Ore Field,located at the western margin of the South China Block,is an important area for Ag-Pb-Zn-W polymetallic mineralization which may be associated with the Late Cretaceous granitic magmaism.In this paper,the singular value decomposition(SVD)was effectively applied to decompose gravity data at scale of 1:50000 within the Bozhushan Ore Field to extract deep ore-finding information.Two gravity anomaly images displaying different scales of the ore-controlling factors were obtained.(1)The low-pass filtered image may reflect the deeply buried geological structures,hidden intrusions and concealed ore bodies.The negative gravity anomaly may reflect the overall distribution of granite bodies in the Bozhushan Ore Field.One negative gravity anomaly area may correspond to the exposed part of the Baozhushan granitic intrusion and the other corresponds to the concealed part of the granitic intrusion.The granitic intrusions are the main ore-controlling factors in this ore district.(2)The band-pass filtered image depicts the shallow concealed geological structures and geological bodies within this study area.There are two obvious negative gravity anomalies,which may be created by the hidden granites at different depths at both northwestern and southeastern sides of the exposed granitic intrusion.Thus the two negative gravity anomalies are favorable prospecting areas for various type of polymetallic ore deposits at depth.The gravity anomalies extracted by using the SVD exactly reflect the distribution of the ore deposits,structures and intrusions,which will give new insights for further mineral exploration in the study area. | Lingfen Guo Yongqing Chen Binbin Zhao | 2021 | Journal of Earth Science2021,32,2: | 3 |

| 14 | Research progress in rehabilitation treatment of stroke patients A bibliometric analysis显示文摘BACKGROUND: Stroke presents as a transient or chronic brain dysfunction and is associated with high morbidity and high mortality. The doctors and scientists would like to argue how to enhance the validity of the rehabilitation treatment and how to further improve the level of treatment on stroke. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to quantitatively analyze the current worldwide progress in research on stroke rehabilitation treatment based on Web of Science database and ClinicalTrial.gov in the past 10 years. METHODS: We conducted a quantitative analysis of clinical trial articles regarding stroke rehabilitation published in English from 2003 to 2013 and indexed in the National Institutes of Health Clinical Trials registry and Web of Science databases. Data were downloaded on March 15, 2013. RESULTS: (1) From 2003 to 2013, 2 654 clinical trials investigating stroke were indexed in ClinicalTrials.gov. There were only 58 clinical trials registered in 2003, and there was a marked increase from 2005. A total of 605 clinical trials on the rehabilitation of stroke were conducted in the past 10 years. (2) The analysis showed that most of the trials in the field were registered by North American institutions. With respect to the Asian countries, China and Taiwan Region of China also published a reasonable proportion of the trials, but comparatively speaking, the number of trials is really rare. Most of the interventions were drugs, followed by the devices, and behavioral interventions were ranked third. (3) In the past 10 years, there were 4 052 studies on stroke indexed by Web of Science database. | 17 | On the loss mechanisms of radiation belt electron dropouts during the 12 September 2014 geomagnetic storm显示文摘Radiation belt electron dropouts indicate electron flux decay to the background level during geomagnetic storms,which is commonly attributed to the effects of wave-induced pitch angle scattering and magnetopause shadowing.To investigate the loss mechanisms of radiation belt electron dropouts triggered by a solar wind dynamic pressure pulse event on 12 September 2014,we comprehensively analyzed the particle and wave measurements from Van Allen Probes.The dropout event was divided into three periods:before the storm,the initial phase of the storm,and the main phase of the storm.The electron pitch angle distributions(PADs)and electron flux dropouts during the initial and main phases of this storm were investigated,and the evolution of the radial profile of electron phase space density(PSD)and the(μ,K)dependence of electron PSD dropouts(whereμ,K,and L^*are the three adiabatic invariants)were analyzed.The energy-independent decay of electrons at L>4.5 was accompanied by butterfly PADs,suggesting that the magnetopause shadowing process may be the major loss mechanism during the initial phase of the storm at L>4.5.The features of electron dropouts and 90°-peaked PADs were observed only for>1 MeV electrons at L<4,indicating that the wave-induced scattering effect may dominate the electron loss processes at the lower L-shell during the main phase of the storm.Evaluations of the(μ,K)dependence of electron PSD drops and calculations of the minimum electron resonant energies of H+-band electromagnetic ion cyclotron(EMIC)waves support the scenario that the observed PSD drop peaks around L^*=3.9 may be caused mainly by the scattering of EMIC waves,whereas the drop peaks around L^*=4.6 may result from a combination of EMIC wave scattering and outward radial diffusion. | Xin Ma Zheng Xiang BinBin Ni Song Fu Xing Cao Man Hua DeYu Guo YingJie Guo XuDong Gu ZeYuan Liu Qi Zhu | 2020 | Earth and Planetary Physics2020,4,6: | 2 |
