1Barite in omphacite-hosted K-feldspar + quartz poly-crystalline aggregates from the Sulu eclogites and its implications显示文摘K-feldspar + quartz polycrystalline aggregates were found as sub-millimeter-size inclusions with a pseudomorph after coesite (?) in omphacites from a number of Sulu eclogites. In these aggregates, round or subhedral barites occur as tiny inclusions in either K-feldspar or quartz. Energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) analyses show that these barites have (1) 33.86%―41.12% SO3, 0%―34.65% SrO, and 24.12%―63.55% BaO, (2) seemingly negative linear correlations between SrO and BaO, indicating that they are ideal solid solutions of barite (BaSO4) and celestite (SrSO4), and (3) highly variable Sr/Ba molar ratios ranging from 0 to 2.1. 2A unique hormonal recognition feature of the human glucagon-like peptide-2 receptor显示文摘Glucagon-like peptides(GLP-1 and GLP-2)are two proglucagon-derived intestinal hormones that mediate distinct physiological functions through two related receptors(GLP-1R and GLP-2R)which are important drug targets for metabolic disorders and Crohn's disease,respectively.Despite great progress in GLP-1 R structure determination,our understanding on the differences of peptide binding and signal transduction between these two receptors remains elusive.Here we report the electron microscopy structure of the human GLP-2R in complex with GLP-2 and a Gs heterotrimer.To accommodate GLP-2 rather than GLP-1,GLP-2R fine-tunes the conformations of the extracellular parts of transmembrane helices(TMs)1,5,7 and extracellular loop 1(ECL1).In contrast to GLP-1,the N-terminal histidine of GLP-2 penetrates into the receptor core with a unique orientation.The middle region of GLP-2 engages with TM1 and TM7 more extensively than with ECL2,and the GLP-2 C-terminus closely attaches to ECL1,which is the most protruded among 9 class B G protein-coupled receptors(GPCRs).Functional studies revealed that the above three segments of GLP-2 are essential for GLP-2 recognition and receptor activation,especially the middle region.These results provide new insights into the molecular basis of ligand specificity in class B GPCRs and may facilitate the development of more specific therapeutics.Wen Sun Li-Nan Chen Qingtong Zhou Li-Hua Zhao Dehua Yang Huibing Zhang Zhaotong Cong Dan-Dan Shen Fenghui Zhao Fulai Zhou Xiaoqing Cai Yan Chen Yan Zhou Sarina Gadgaard Wijnand JCvan der Velden Suwen Zhao Yi Jiang Mette MRosenkilde HEric Xu Yan Zhang Ming-Wei Wang 2020Cell Research2020,30,12:4

4Effect of volatile oil from Blumea Balsamifera(L.) DC. leaves on wound healing in mice显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To assess the effectiveness of violateoil from Blumea Balsamifera(L.) DC. leaves(BB oil)on wound healing in mice.METHODS: Undiluted BB oil and its diluted solutions with olive oil to 1/5 and 1/10 to yield BB oil1/5and BB oil1/10 were applied to the wounded skin before wound healing conditions were assessed by healing rate, histopathology, and contents of collagen, hydroxyproline, and Neuropeptide Substance P(SP). All above results were compared with the efficacies of the control, pure olive oil, basic fibroblast growth factor(BFGF), and cream of Jing Wan Hong(JWH).RESULTS: BB oil1/5and BB oil1/10 improved wound contraction and closure. Histopathology study further confirmed a desirable histological organization of wound tissues. BB oil1/5and BB oil1/10 reduced the number of inflammatory cells, increased wound-healing rates, and significantly increased the hydroxyproline content. Both BB oil1/5and BB oil1/10 improved formation of collagen, and reduced the frequency of fibroblasts. Moreover, BB oil1/5and BB oil1/10 markedly promoted SP expression. However, undiluted BB oil may induce skin thickening and hardening, inhibite collagen synthesis and delay complete skin wound healing.CONCLUSION: The BB oil1/5and BB oil1/10 promoted capillary regeneration, blood circulation, collagen deposition, granular tissue formation, epithelial deposition, and wound contraction. 5Analysis of Volatile Components in Fresh Fruit of Morinda citrifolia L.from Different Origins Based on HS-SPME-GC/MS显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to clarify the differences of volatile components in fresh fruit of Morinda citrifolia L.from different origins.[Methods]The method of HS-SPME-GC/MS detection was used to determine the volatile chemical components in fresh fruit of M.citrifolia.[Results]52,52 and 45 volatile components were identified from the fresh fruit of M.citrifolia from Xisha,Wanning and Haikou,respectively.Among them,the number and content of the identified esters were relatively high,mainly methyl caprylate,ethyl caprylate,4-pentenyl caproate,3-methylbuten-2-enyl caprylate,methyl caproate,and ethyl caproate.There were also fatty acids,alcohols,phenols,ketones,aldehydes and other substances.There were 33 common ingredients in the fruit from the three origins,mainly including caprylic acid,caproic acid,capric acid,methyl caprylate,ethyl caprylate,4-pentenyl caproate,3-methylbutene-2-enyl caprylate,methyl caproate,ethyl caproate,methyl caprate and hexyl caproate.[Conclusions]The types and contents of volatile components in fresh fruit of M.citrifolia from different origins were significantly different.Dan WANG Qian JIANG Qinglong WANG Chao YUAN Maoyuan WANG Zuowang FAN Xiaolu CHEN Fulai YU 2022Agricultural Biotechnology2022,11,4:1

11Scientific objectives of the Hot Universe Baryon Surveyor(HUBS) mission显示文摘The Hot Universe Baryon Surveyor(HUBS) is a proposed space-based X-ray telescope for detecting X-ray emissions from the hot gas content in our universe. With its unprecedented spatially-resolved high-resolution spectroscopy and large field of view,the HUBS mission will be uniquely qualified to measure the physical and chemical properties of the hot gas in the interstellar medium, the circumgalactic medium, the intergalactic medium, and the intracluster medium. These measurements will be valuable for two key scientific goals of HUBS, namely to unravel the AGN and stellar feedback physics that governs the formation and evolution of galaxies, and to probe the baryon budget and multi-phase states from galactic to cosmological scales. In addition to these two goals, the HUBS mission will also help us solve some problems in the fields of galaxy clusters, AGNs, difuse X-ray backgrounds, supernova remnants, and compact objects. 15A Machine-Learning Approach for the Prediction of Fly-Ash Concrete Strength显示文摘The composite exciter and the CaO to Na_(2)SO_(4) dosing ratios are known to have a strong impact on the mechanical strength offly-ash concrete.In the present study a hybrid approach relying on experiments and a machine-learn-ing technique has been used to tackle this problem.The tests have shown that the optimal admixture of CaO and Na_(2)SO_(4) alone is 8%.The best 3D mechanical strength offly-ash concrete is achieved at 8%of the compound activator;If the 28-day mechanical strength is considered,then,the best performances are obtained at 4%of the compound activator.Moreover,the 3D mechanical strength offly-ash concrete is better when the dosing ratio of CaO to Na_(2)SO_(4) in the compound activator is 1:1;the maximum strength offly-ash concrete at 28-day can be achieved for a 1:1 ratio of CaO to Na_(2)SO_(4) by considering a 4%compound activator.In this case,the compressive andflexural strengths are 260 MPa and 53.6 MPa,respectively;the mechanical strength offly-ash concrete at 28-day can be improved by a 4:1 ratio of CaO to Na_(2)SO_(4) by considering 8%and 12%compound excitants.It is shown that the predictions based on the aforementioned machine-learning approach are accurate and reliable.Shanqing Shao Aimin Gong Ran Wang Xiaoshuang Chen Jing Xu Fulai Wang Feipeng Liu 2023Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2023,19,12:0

17Structural mechanism of calcium-mediated hormone recognition and Gβinteraction by the human melanocortin-1 receptor显示文摘Melanocortins are peptide hormones critical for the regulation of stress response,energy homeostasis,inflammation,and skin pigmentation.Their functions are mediated by five G protein-coupled receptors(MC1R–MC5R),predominately through the stimulatory G protein(Gs).MC1R,the founding member of melanocortin receptors,is mainly expressed in melanocytes and is involved in melanogenesis.Dysfunction of MC1R is associated with the development of melanoma and skin cancer.Here we present three cryo-electron microscopy structures of the MC1R–Gs complexes bound to endogenous hormoneα-MSH,a marketed drug afamelanotide,and a synthetic agonist SHU9119.These structures reveal the orthosteric binding pocket for the conserved HFRW motif among melanocortins and the crucial role of calcium ion in ligand binding.They also demonstrate the basis of differential activities among different ligands.In addition,unexpected interactions between MC1R and the Gβsubunit were discovered from these structures.Together,our results elucidate a conserved mechanism of calcium-mediated ligand recognition,a specific mode of G protein coupling,and a universal activation pathway of melanocortin receptors.Shanshan Ma Yan Chen Antao Dai Wanchao Yin Jia Guo Dehua Yang Fulai Zhou Yi Jiang Ming-Wei Wang H.Eric Xu 2021Cell Research2021,31,10:0

19The Effect of Magnesium on Accumulations of Primary Metabolites and Yield of Blumea balsamifera显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to investigate the effects of magnesium on the yield of Blumea balsamifera(L.)DC.and the accumulation of primary metabolites that affect yield of the medicinal material.[Methods]The annual seedlings of B.balsamifera were selected as experimental materials.The treatment concentrations of magnesium(Mg)were set as 0,1.5,15 and 150 mg/ml supplied by MgSO4·7H2O.The yield of the medicinal material was measured dynamically.And the content of total sugar was determined by 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acid colorimetry;the content of crude protein was determined by the Kjeldahl method;the ash content was determined by the high-temperature burning method;the crude fat content was determined with a crude fat instrument;and the crude fiber content was determined by the acid-base washing and weighing method.[Results]Mg significantly increased the yield of B.balsamifera medicinal material,especially 15 mg/ml Mg.It was found that in September,October and November,1.5 mg/ml and 15 mg/ml Mg significantly increased the contents of primary metabolites including total sugar,ash,crude protein,crude fat and crude fiber,and 150 mg/ml of Mg increased the accumulation of total sugar,ash,crude protein and crude fiber to different degrees,but had certain inhibitory effect on the accumulation of crude fat.In December,the application of Mg inhibited the accumulation of total sugar,ash and crude protein to different degrees,but significantly promoted the accumulation of crude fat and fiber.[Conclusions]This study provides a theoretical basis for clarifying the effects of different concentrations of magnesium on plant growth.Dan WANG Huiping LAN Yingbo ZHANG Xuan HU Xiaolu CHEN Yuxin PANG Fulai YU 2020Agricultural Biotechnology2020,9,4:0
