| 1 | The effect of high-temperature annealing on LaFe_(11.5)Si_(1.5) and the magneto-caloric properties of La_(1-x)Ce_xFe_(11.5)Si_(1.5) compounds显示文摘The powder X-ray diffraction patterns of LaFe11.5Si1.5 compounds annealed at different high temperatures from 1323 K (5 h) to 1623 K (2 h) show that a large amount of 1:13 phase begins to form in LaFe11.5Si1.5 compound annealed at 1423 K (5 h). In the temperature range from 1423 to 1523 K, α-Fe and LaFeSi phases rapidly decrease to form 1:13 phase. LaFeSi phase is rarely observed, and the most amount of 1:13 phase is obtained in the compound annealed at 1523 K (5 h). With the annealing temperature increasing to 1573 and 1623 K, LaFeSi is detected again in the LaFe11.5Si1.5 compound. According to the results of annealing at different high-temperatures, the La1-xCexFe11.5Si1.5 compounds are annealed at high temperatures of 1373 K (2 h) + 1523 K (5 h). The main phase is NaZn13-type phase, and the impurity is a small amount of α-Fe in La1-xCexFe11.5Si1.5 compounds with 0 ≤ x ≤ 0.35, and there is a large amount of Ce2Fe17 phase in La0.5Ce0.5Fe11.5Si1.5. It indicates that the substitution of cerium atoms for La in LaFe11.5Si1.5 compounds has limit. At the same time, the substitution of Ce for La has large effect on magnetocaloric properties. With increasing Ce content from x = 0 to x = 0.35, the Curie temperature decreases linearly from 196 to 168 K, the magnetic entropy change increases from 16.5 to 57.3 J·kg-1·K-1 in a low magnetic field change of 0-2 T, and the thermal hysteresis also increases from 3 K to 8 K. | CHEN Xiang CHEN Yungui TANG Yongbo | 2011 | Rare Metals2011,30,4: | 6 |
| 2 | Table-like magnetocaloric effect and large refrigerant capacity of composite magnetic refrigerants based on LaFe_(11.6)Si_(1.4)H_y alloys显示文摘Composite magnetic refrigerants were prepared by physical mixing LaFe_(11.6)Si_(1.4)H_y alloys with different Curie temperatures(Tc). The phase structures of these LaFe_(11.6)Si_(1.4)H_y alloys were analyzed by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and the magnetocaloric effect(MCE) and refrigerant capacity(RC) of these composite magnetic refrigerants were investigated by experiment and calculation in this paper. The magnetocaloric effect(MCE) and refrigerant capacity(RC) of these composite magnetic refrigerants were investigated by experiment and calculation in this paper. The results indicate the experimental magnetic entropy change(-△S_M)-Tcurve corresponds reasonably with the(-△S_M)-Tcurve calculated by the linear combination of(-△S_M)-T curves of the single material. An optimal mixing ratio can make the composite magnetic refrigerant possess a table-like(-△S_M)-Tcurve which is beneficial to magnetic Ericsson cycle. When three LaFe_(11.6)Si_(1.4)H_y alloys with different T_c are mixed, the full width at half maximum(△T_(FWHM)) of(-△S_M)-T curves is about 48.7 K and the RC is about 177.76 J/kg under a magnetic field change of 2 T. | 3 | Substantial transition to clean household energy mix in rural China显示文摘The household energy mix has significant impacts on human health and climate,as it contributes greatly to many health-and climate-relevant air pollutants.Compared to the well-established urban energy statistical system,the rural household energy statistical system is incomplete and is often associated with high biases.Via a nationwide investigation,this study revealed high contributions to energy supply from coal and biomass fuels in the rural household energy sector,while electricity comprised∼20%.Stacking(the use of multiple sources of energy)is significant,and the average number of energy types was 2.8 per household.Compared to 2012,the consumption of biomass and coals in 2017 decreased by 45%and 12%,respectively,while the gas consumption amount increased by 204%.Increased gas and decreased coal consumptions were mainly in cooking,while decreased biomass was in both cooking(41%)and heating(59%).The time-sharing fraction of electricity and gases(E&G)for daily cooking grew,reaching 69%in 2017,but for space heating,traditional solid fuels were still dominant,with the national average shared fraction of E&G being only 20%.The non-uniform spatial distribution and the non-linear increase in the fraction of E&G indicated challenges to achieving universal access to modern cooking energy by 2030,particularly in less-developed rural and mountainous areas.In some non-typical heating zones,the increased share of E&G for heating was significant and largely driven by income growth,but in typical heating zones,the time-sharing fraction was<5%and was not significantly increased,except in areas with policy intervention.The intervention policy not only led to dramatic increases in the clean energy fraction for heating but also accelerated the clean cooking transition.Higher income,higher education,younger age,less energy/stove stacking and smaller family size positively impacted the clean energy transition. | Guofeng Shen Rui Xiong Yanlin Tian Zhihan Luo Bahabaike Jiangtulu Wenjun Meng Wei Du Jing Meng Yuanchen Chen Bing Xue Bin Wang Yonghong Duan Jia Duo Fenggui Fan Lei Huang Tianzhen Ju Fenggui Liu Shunxin Li Xianli Liu Yungui Li Mu Wang Ying Nan Bo Pan Yanfang Pan Lizhi Wang Eddy Zeng Chao Zhan Yilin Chen Huizhong Shen Hefa Cheng Shu Tao | 2022 | National Science Review2022,9,7: | 4 |
| 4 | Corrosion behavior and magnetocaloric effect of FeNi(1J85) coated LaFe_(11.6)Si_(1.4)/Sn composites显示文摘The FeNi coated LaFe_(11.6)Si_(1.4)/Sn composites were prepared by hot pressing(HP). The microstructure,corrosion behavior and magnetocaloric effect(MCE) of FeNi coated LaFe_(11.6)Si_(1.4)/Sn composites were investigated systematically. The results show that the corrosion resistance of FeNi coated LaFe_(11.6)Si_(1.4)Sn composites is better than that of LaFe_(11.6)Si_(1.4)/Sn composites in deionized water. The maximum magnetic entropy change((-△S_M)^(max)) and relative cooling power(RCP) of FeNi coated LaFe_(11.6)Si_(1.4)/Sn composites are 13.30 J/(kg-K) and 146.25 J/kg, respectively, which are larger than that((-△S_M)^(max), 10.65 J/(kg·K) and RCP, 106.53 J/kg) of LaFe_(11.6)Si_(1.4)/Sn composites in a low magnetic field change of 2 T. FeNi coated LaFe_(11.6)Si_(1.4)/Sn composites possess a more negative slope. The improvement of magnetic properties is due to high permeability FeNi permalloy(1 J85) which improves the itinerant-electron metamagnetic(IEM) transition. However, the charge/discharge mechanism of MnO_(2)in aqueous electrolyte is still unclear. In present study, highly porous δ-MnO_(2) is investigated, which delivers a high capacity of 252.1 m Ah g^(-1) at 0.05 A g^(-1) and excellent rate capability, i.e., 109.7 m Ah g^(-1) at 1 A g^(-1), but a low-capacity retention of 54.4% after 800 cycles at 1 A g^(-1). The two-step discharging process, namely a consequent H^(+) and Mg^(2+) insertion reaction, is verified, by comparing the electrochemical performance of δ-MnO_(2) in 1 M MgCl_(2) and 1 M MnCl_(2) aqueous electrolyte and analyzing detailedly the Mg content and the bonding state of Mn at different charge/discharge state.
